Man, I should have known something was screwy when he kept mentioning cassava. I'm like. . . WTF? WTF does that have to do with Ekiti State? I could see if he were cracking jokes about yam, marijuana, or rice farming. Yes, those are major crops there. But cassava? Na wa o Beaf, Ekitiland is fairly poor, yes. But we are not st.u.pid. We don't eat a major crop that will frikking KILL you if you eat too much of it and there are no cockroaches handy! That would be dumb. As you can tell from interacting with me, Ekitiland is full of fairly bright people. Our ancestors did not raise id.iot.s that would raise poison as one of their staple crops! |
Which one you dey, Maggot? is it Lagos, Warri, or Isoko? Can you imagine that this pseudo-ND militant dude is earning his bread and butter in the heart of Yorubaland? Hrm, I really wish we could expose some of these anti-Yoruba folk living in Yorubaland publicly. Very shameful hypocrites, all of them. Can you imagine living in another man's homeland and actively seeking to sabotage it? I hope you were not so disloyal when you were living in Warri, Mr Maggot from Isokoland. |
I am warri/asaba/ogahra. . .still live in Lagos.
Hold on, wait a sec. So you are telling me that Maggot lives in Lagos? ![]() What happened to Warri? So he is no more even a Warri boy by way of Isoko? Jesu! ![]() I'm dying here of laughter |
Isoko South Flags Off Cassava Processing Factoryhttp://allafrica.com/stories/200904030027.html Can you imagine that Maggot would be the one insulting anyone with cassava references? Have you no shame? No decency? ![]() |
afam4eva:It is what it is. I'm only exposing his hypocrisy. He calls others "cassava muncher", when it is the staple crop of his people. He accuses me of falsely claiming Lagos (when my frikkin username in fact emphasizes that I am an Ekitiman), when he falsely claims Warri as his town. Again, no disrespect meant to anyone. Just exposting the hypocrite, loser, and cockroach muncher named |
Beaf:See, my farming ancestors/relatives grew YAM and RICE. Yours grow CASSAVA. So what does CASSAVA and the food poisoning it causes have to do with me, maggot muncher? |
Lmao. Now he claims Urhobo too, I guess to strengthen his non-existent connection to Warri. And to further distinguish himself from a land where 50% of the women are cassava farmers. . . and 40% of the women involved in making garri ![]() Na wa o. Can you imagine this shameless guy? Shouting Warri, Warri all over the place. |
afam4eva:No insult intended to them. Me bashing Beaf doesn't mean I am bashing his ethnicity. And I disagree with the Somalia/Rwanda stuff. . . but that is another story (remember, Ondo sef produces 10% of Nigeria's oil, if that alone is what you are using to distinguish between Somalia or not.) |
Seriously. Can you believe it? This loser is claiming that I am the one falsely claiming. Yet I've never claimed to be a Lagos indigene. Hell, my name on this forum is ekt_bear. Yet Beaf, an Isoko man will claim Warri as his town ![]() Why are you ashamed of your cassava-munching, cockroach chewing origins, Beaf? Or maybe I should rename you MAGGOT now, since that more accurately reflects your origin and your source of protein to combat cassava poisoning. |
Beaf is truly, 100%, absolutely a HYPOCRITE. Can you imagine that all these cassava jibes before that he said before about Ekiti State (when our staple crops are YAM and RICE) were in fact deep INSECURITY and self-hatred? Read this: https://i55.tinypic.com/2v3kac7.png http://www.cassavabiz.org/News/reports/SPDC/Delta%20State-Community%20Analysis.pdf 50%+ of the female population of Isokoland, casava farmers! 80% of them make garri for a living! Probably he grew up hearing stories about people eating too much of it and not enough cockroaches and dying. In Ekitiland, our staple crop in the old days was yam. Something that won't frikkin kill you if you eat too much of it w/o processing it. Can you imagine a man like this ever insulting Ekitiland? I spit on you, Beaf. You are truly a hypocrite, a sham, a fraud, a fake, a phony, and a loser. |
Hmm hmm hmm. Can you imagine the gall of this guy, insulting Ekiti State? When his people are known as cassava farmers? Even on their own website, they talk about their primary food crop being cassava. Na wa o But he won't talk about that, instead he will claim Delta instead. Or claim that he is a Warri boy ![]() |
Thats right! . . .Insects and maggots the source of their protien! lol You wonder why mucur is all pouring out of beaf's brain abi?
LmaoToo many ethnic groups in Nigeria, I'll have to poke into the history of these Isoko more. Cassava + cockroach are their staples. I think someone didn't feed him enough cockroach though, really spoiled the development of his brain. They even have cassava competitions in Isokoland: http://www.cassavabiz.org/News/reports/SPDC/Delta%20State%20Training-Competitive%20Cassava%20Production.pdf See Beaf on the bottom left accepting a certificate of completion: https://i52.tinypic.com/nlzhpf.png His mates are in school and working real jobs, he is farming cassava and cockroaches ![]() |
It really is easy to understand Beaf. A) His people are known for growing cassava, he feels shame about being know for growing a food for poor people and then tries to spin it around on someone else B) He is Isoko, yet claims Warri as his hometown Which one u dey? Very fraudulent and shiftless character. |
I was wondering why this guy kept bringing up cassava. . . it isn't even one of the main crops the grown in my part of Ekiti. Of course, I do a bit of investigation and find that this is the staple crop associated with his land: The main economic activity is food crop farming. And the staple food crops include cassava and yams. There is also the widespread production of palm oil and palm kernels. Limited amount of hunting and fishing is also done. Women form a large proportion of the farming population. They also engage in trade of food crops for cash to meet other basic household needs. On market days, it is common to see Isoko women peddling their assorted goods around neighboring villages. No wonder he is fascinated with cassava. . . it is a staple of his people. Na wa o. Cassava muncher, indeed ![]() |
Bawss1:Relax. . . just some fun and games. A bit of entertainment never harmed anyone. |
Heh. At least he is not denying eating cockroach. How do you prepare them? Raw? Fried? Sauteed? Ground up? |
What other delicacies did you grow up eating? Crickets too? Grubs from the soil? Are you some sort of lizard or reptile? |
What type of animal eats maggots and cockroach? Explains so much |
^-- They eat maggots? Do they eat cockroach too? I called him one before, he probably took it as a compliment. |
Not a problem. Sampling based stuff from Nigeria, I think it is probably going to be pretty accurate. . . it is a "what %ge of this state has X" sort of question. But questions related to, "how populated is this state?", harder to say, I'm less willing to trust. |
@Justcash: Here is the HIV/AIDs report, for example: http://naca.gov.ng/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/lang,en/ If you have any specific problem with their methodology (which they discuss in Chapter 3), then let me know. But at least from the quick glance I gave it, it looks pretty standard. |
Justcash:I don't understand what you mean. If I have a population of N people and want to estimate the average height, I can randomly sample M individuals and get a pretty good approximation. Imagine N is 1 million, M is like 10,000. I don't need a database for that. If I want to figure out some gender/race/ethnicity related stuff, then I'll need to understand what the true %ges are to reweight my sample appropriately. But this isn't so hard to do within one state, I think. We have a sense of the relative populations of LGAs. Of women versus men within a state. Etc. |
BTW, Justcash, if you have difficulty finding any of those studies I mentioned, I can link you to them. Their methodology appears standard and sound to me (I say this as someone who knows statistics pretty well, but is not an expert on this specific subarea they are using.) With that said, educational levels, disease rates, life expectancy, etc don't necessarily mean that a state is more or less developed. |
Justcash:That isn't how this sort of statistical methodology works. You don't need a database. If you get sufficiently randomized and unbiased samples, it should accurately represent that of the population as a whole. This is pretty much a science, at this point. And the studies weren't conducted by wuruwuru Nigerian organizations, but by international researchers. I get your point about statistical significance. But for the AIDs stuff, life expectancy, and education levels, the gaps were huge. Probably statistically significant. . . I didn't read each study that carefully though. Anyway, it is what it is. Believe what you like. Well, that aside, Ekiti is not in anyway more developed than Ebonyi state. Infrastructurally and otherwise. The string of pathetic leadership that have always led the state have not helped issues. That does not in anyway imply that Ebonyi is close to developed. It is the least developed out of all the SE states. Ekiti to me is also the least developed in the SW if I have not ignored any state. Alright. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I suppose. |
macjive01:I'm not anti-Igbo. I'm just against silly claims of someone claiming they "single handedly" developed my homeland. . . while their own homeland is a mess. BTW. . . notice that Jews, they've developed Israel pretty well. So what is your own excuse, o thou Jews of Nigeria? ![]() Jews of Nigeria, minus the talent, but with 2X the arrogance. Just relax on the arrogance is all I am saying. |
Desola:Case in point, this Buruji Kashamu fella ![]() It is going to crack me up if this guy one day ends up governor of Ogun State ![]() |
@Justcash: I travel there once a year. Granted, I've not been to Ebonyi (or the SE zone period). But the guys who conducted these studies have. I have no real reason to doubt the results of say a life expectancy study, for example. |
Justcash:*shrug* It what it is. For every pipeline they blow, every foreign worker they kidnap, they cause another multi-national to decide to relocate out of the SS to Lagos ![]() Abeg, keep blowing up pipelines ![]() |
@Justcash: Never claimed Lagos is my state. However, it is part of my zone, and part of Yorubaland. If you don't like that, unfortunate. Regarding Ekiti vs Ebonyi, I don't think there is a single statistic Ebonyi is ahead in ![]() Ekiti leads Ebonyi in the following (and you can look them up yourself): 1) Education rates (some of the best in southern Nigeria, period) 2) Literacy rates (same as above) 3) poverty rates 4) life expectancy (one of the highest in Nigeria) 5) GDP 6) GDP/capita, 7) HIV rates (one of the lowest in Nigeria, while Ebonyi and the SE zone have amongst the highest) etc, etc. Not so bad for such a young state. Anyways, that isnt really the point. . . Lagos is part of my homeland, so I can take pleasure in its accomplishments. If anybody doesn't like that, their problem, not mine. |
