vicenzo: ekpeye people have the stronger identity crisis than any other igbo tribe,i have never met an ekpeye person who would accept the igbo tag,the easiest way to get lynched is to tell them they are igbo, the least they can accept is igboid, the educated ones among them will easily tell you that igboid=ekpeye+igbo.I think their problem is inferiority complex. I met one of them in a bank in okigwe,he was making a call, and he was speaking a language i was sure is igbo but i could only understand 3% of what he was saying,he was having problem with the bank security man who was insisting he should off his phone, out of curiousity i decided to check out his withdrawal booklet,i saw that his first name sounds non igbo but the surname was AGUIYI,when asked if he was igbo, the dude got so explosive and made it clear that he is ekpeye and cannot be igbo. There is one of them here in nland who wil not hesitate to derail this thread if he sees bayelsa in this thread, bottomline, akwa ibom can be included but not bayelsa Interesting. |

I'd rather have a premier African/International agric institute in my zone than a poorly funded local one that cannot even afford to maintain its website Maybe I should chip in $15 to pay their internet fees for the month https://i51.tinypic.com/2yxniuv.png |

cold: ^^To your first question,i think the issue of tribal marks belongs to the relic of the past.No right thinking mum or dad wld recommend marks for their new born.Maybe incisions on other parts of the body to ward off evil spirits for the core animists. Heh, i see. To your second question, you can say Umu Ada Kwenu Lol, thanks. I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully I don't mispronounce it. Ada=woman, Umu = people or something? |

I thought Christianity and stuff wiped away tribal marks in Igboland long ago though? I think you guys had them in the late 1800s or something, but eventually stopped. I've seen old pictures before where folk from the SE had them.
Didn't know there were any Igbo still with them. |

Doesn't appear to be my computer alone. SSHed to another machine (which uses a different network) and saw the same account suspended message.
Unfortunate, perhaps they forgot a payment. . .
In any case, makes no sense for the "account suspended" page to show up only from my computer (and this other machine). |

You don't know much about the SW anyways when it comes to agric (as demonstrated by the previous discussion we had a few months ago), so his point is correct. |

How is it granny-style farming? That egg setup is how it is done in the West, if I'm not mistaken.
And there isn't really much information about the rest of their operations.
They'll probably use modern techniques. . . fertilizer, tractors, etc. |

BTW. . . WTF is everyone so anti-tax Almost everywhere in the world, you pay taxes. What is wrong with paying them in Lagos? Is the tiny amount of money Lagos gets from FG allocations supposed to cover the services it provides, let alone the additional infrastructure it is trying to develop? If no taxes, then where will the money come from for all these good things people enjoy? |
