Funny, I was just reading an article on American Humor Vs British Humor which was kind of funny. NIgerian humor is kind of better. Oyibo people are not funny at all from a NIgerian perspective so people like you (who act like oyibo) might not be seen as funny.
I can appreciate naija humor, oyinbo humor and akata humor. But unfortunately can only tell jokes oyinbo like  undecided

How long did you date before deciding to get married? This is someone you met here, not in naija right? (my second question is a bit dumb, but just asking)

He means screw as in sleep with. Man u dull gan
Maybe in naija lingo "screw" doesn't also mean sleep with.

Man I've noticed naija folk find me a lot less funny than other folk do

Romance › Re: Does Bromancing Equal Homosexuality by ektbear: 7:43am On Apr 15, 2011
Err, that picture is not bromancing. That is two friends acting gay, lol. Now, surprisingly enough in some cultures that is cool. I've been to a Persian party before and you'd have straight dudes there humping their friends (with their girlfriends standing right there). I guess in that culture, it isn't gay.

Anyway, not for me. . . would be to weird

Really depends on the circumstances. If it was a longterm GF who you knock up, then sure, probably. But if it was just a hookup, no way. Deal with child support, I guess undecided

There was a word missing that I forgot to add. "You even HAVE some who thinks looking at the thesaurus to find synonyms of common words." I never referred to you, but if the shoe fits. grin
Alright. I'll take your word for it.

ezeagu:
The ones from the page you quoted.
How many could there have been? You are really comparing the magnitude of squatter camps in the early 20th century to what was already a major city (the largest in Nigeria) by 1893?

Like Enugu was founded by Europeans, even when a village by the same name was there before.
If there is a village somewhere with farmland, I buy some of the farmland and build a town from scratch there that is far superior to the village nearby, then you view that town as a descendant of the village it neighbors? The founders of the town I built were those villagers  huh Not me who founded the town?

Is this really the excuse for why Ibadan is not working, because it was a big city before? So how were the colonialists able to industrialise it?
Who told you it isn't working? In what way is it not working?

The world knows that the town of Enugwu Ngwo had some of its land negotiated with by Europeans who, with the help of workers from surrounding Igbo towns expanded the village because of coal which attracted a large community of immigrants.
See my question above.

It is a good school, and I am loyal to it since I grew up in the state. But you cannot lord your degree over anyone.[/quote]After quoting me, in response you write
EzeUche:
It is as simple 1 + 1 = 2. I laugh at how many of you believe that you have a vastly superior intellect, but simply sound like fools. You even some who thinks looking at the thesaurus to find synonyms of common words.

UMD is a great school. I was able to get a full ride due to my intellect and yes, I will "lord" over those I see as intellectually inferior to me.
So pray tell, who is this thesaurus remark in response to? Is this bolded "you" someone other than me? grin grin grin

Anyway, let's leave it be. A little less arrogance won't hurt ya'll. After all, you claim to be Catholics.
