Pweety4me:Heh, I value my privacy a bit ![]() SEFAGO:No I know, I wanted to give you a name you could find on Facebook and then judge for yourself. Anyway, I see that you don't want to compromise your privacy. . . no problem ![]() |
kandiikane:How many American girls (and men) have you been with that you know this? ![]() kandiikane:Not on their level. . . they are wild I'm a pretty regular dude, not a freak |
Sefago, if you are on instant messenger, let me know. Then you can be the one to tell me if I'm lying or not. |
SEFAGO:Heh. You might be right. But I've not really lived in any other country but here and naija. Who knows, maybe I'd be a bum in Europe ![]() |
Sefago, do you use yahoo messenger? Anyway, I didn't want to personalize this or brag. . . no point bragging on the internet. Main takeaway message, don't limit yourself in life ![]() |
You are contradicting yourself o, ekiti man. You said "you've never had that philosophy". But you can only date 8s 9s and 10s. What happened to the 1s and -6s.?
I mean, I don't limit myself. If I think a girl is cute, I'll talk to her, regardless whether she is "out of my league" or not.Btw, this # system isn't even how I think about things. . . I'm either attracted to a girl or not. In my mind, the scale is probably 0 or 1 ![]() |
interesting map. If the map was to be more accurate, the top half of Nigeria will be greener (or yellow) and the south south/south east will probably be just as red as cameroon. but I guess the rates on d map is based on aggregate statistics. I don't know the distribution in cameroon though.
It would be interesting to see such a map for naija, I think. Hmm. |
I've never had this philosophy. I always try to date the best I can find. If you start dating/looking for girls with that mentality, it will only hurt you. I don't think I'm anywhere near a 10 myself. . . far from a model, probably average or slightly above average looking dude (I'm tallish and have a good physique though.) But I've had no difficulty dating 8s, 9s, and occasionally 10s in my life. |
@edoyad: If a man from a minority tribe becomes Muslim, does he identify more with Northern Kaduna than Southern? |
Dudes. . . yeah, aletheia sounds like a doctor to me. He proly knows more than most of us. kandiikane:ms kandiikane, that is not true. Total #, yes, rate, no. They are two different things. |
Beaf:1) When have I claimed to be from Lagos State? Or claimed the state in any way? 2 Beaf, if you have an attractive wife, sister, or female relative, we can have her measure the length, width, and girth of my d1ck. Don't worry, we'll spend several days making sure she gets it exactly correct. After we finish, she can then report back her findings to you and satisfy your effeminate curiosity. 3) I grew up in a first world country. You grew up drawing water and eating fish from an oil-polluted creek. Who is more likely to be malnourished and emaciated, resembling a skeleton, between the two of us? Likely your poor feeding as a child is why you display so much stupidity. . . drinking kerosene is not good for a child's development ![]() |
aletheia:It makes me very sad. Makes me even sadder that they aren't making any headway. Are the messages of "Condom usage, less prostitution, monogamy" just not sticking? Will people even listen? Can people even listen? If you are a poor woman and have bills to pay in Nigeria, what exactly do you do? It isn't like the economy is vibrant in Nigeria like it is in some other places. . . unemployment is very high. I don't know what the answer is. I hope people are thinking about it, though. |
Beaf:My village in the trees? Peopled with hunters? Are you really sure you want to go down this route? When likely your own village was the prime target of slave raiders? Loaded into ships and sold off for cowrie shells? Again, are you sure you want to do this?A Bushman claiming Lagos out of a groaning inferiority complex!Beaf. . . dude. Insults like that might be offensive to others, but not to me. This "bushman" likely has made more money over the past few years than you, despite still being in school. I don't even want to bring up educational levels (and quality) and future prospects for earnings either. If being a "Bushman" means far higher wealth and social status in 10-15 years time than whatever you will achieve in your life. . . then long live the bush ![]() Lagos! Lagos! When on earth have I claimed Lagos? I am a Yoruba man. A Yoruba man showing love for Lagos is no different from an American showing fondness for DC. . . Yada ya! yet you come from ropey hamlet where goats have right of way and men hop through trees.Coming from this "hamlet" doesn't seem to have negatively affected my wealth and earnings potential. I guess this is this is the beauty of raw intelligence and a good work ethic. You can be wealthier than a man whose sole claim to fame is some dinosaurs dying on his patch of land millions of years ago. |
This map of Africa tells a lot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Map-of-HIV-Prevalance-in-Africa.png Didn't know Cameroon was so high. Maybe that has something to do with it. |
Beaf:Agreed, your state is wealthier than mine. I don't think anyone has disputed this. and we tend to be far less bigoted and closed minded than you are.Who is this "we", and who is this "you"? What data do you have to support this hypothesis? How does one measure "bigoted" or "closed minded" quantitatively? ![]() We are that way, not out of random luck, just as you are the way you are not out of random luck as well.Nah, it is random luck. Some dinosaurs chose to die in your particular patch of land many millions of years ago and not mine. It wasn't as if you caused it. In what way would a shrimp compete? You are correct. You (a shrimp) cannot compete with me. Like a coward, you go making jibes about me in tiny print, from thread to thread;Beaf, don't flatter or lie to yourself. I made a single jab at you in tiny print. A joke for the reader of my posts. That to you indicates some fear of you? Someone I ridicule on a daily basis, in a casual and familiar way, I am afraid of? Are you sure that is not contempt, rather than fear? In any case, it will not stop, whether you like it or not.so you get whats coming when you bring your ignorance my way.Which ignorance? And what is this "coming"? Am I supposed to be insulted or offended by you? Especially when you bring your pseudo-superiorityYou are welcome to think that there is something "pseudo" about it, just as I believe it to be a fact. Tis a free world; we are all entitled to our own beliefs. to a bear on the affairs of a much more successful state than yours. Bloody insulting.I can comment on the affairs of Delta State; whether it is wealthier than my own or not is irrelevant. If anyone chooses to view it as an insult. . . their problem, not mine. |
300,000 FOUND, MANY MORE UNNOTICED. Goodluck Nigeria.
Well said. Nigerians need to focus less on tribalism, Goodluck vs. Buhari and more on solving the very real problems that faces it. |
That is north of 5% of the population of the state. More than one out of every twenty people. I'm a bit surprised no politicians are talking about this. It seems to me that it is important to get it under control there before things get worse. |
UYO, April 12, (THEWILL) - At least 300,000 persons in Akwa Ibom state have tested positive for the dreaded Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome as scientists battle globally to deal with the disease. The chairman, Akwa Ibom State Action Committee on AIDS (SACA) Dr. Martin Akpan disclosed this Tuesday, in Uyo during an orientation interaction with a cross section of 2011/2012 freshers of the University of Uyo. By this number of certified victims, the state ranks second on HIV/AIDS prevalent rate in the country, according to the chairman. Dr. Martin said the rating calls for serious concern by every citizen of the state to curtail the spread noting that the state in the last two years was rated fourth in the country. He maintained that the wild spread of the infection is not unconnected with the compactness of people in the state which fastens movement of people from one city to another. Akpan who is a medical doctor by profession also noted that the attitude of residents even the elites towards the scourge was another major problem saying that people still see AIDS as witchcraft attack in most parts of the state. The SACA chairman also reasoned the state being in the oil rich zone contributes to the spread of the ailment. He however advocated for healthy living among the people living in the state. Earlier, the state coordinator SACA, Dr Ako Akpabio advised that the fight against AIDS should not be left to only health workers rather everybody should be involved to curb its spread. Akpabio charged parents not to shy away from educating their children and wards on early sex education. “When the children are aware they will not involve themselves in illicit sex so I charge you to spread the information to our children,” he stated. http://thewillnigeria.com/politics/8207-Revealed-300000-Infected-With-HIVAIDS-Akwa-Ibom.html |
Lol, first comment of the article asks the same question. |
I thought we cleared all of Nigeria's debt when OBJ left office. How are we back up to $30 billion+? |
Is this a joke? $3 billion+ in his account stolen from Delta State. . . and he is no longer of interest?I guess this sends a good message to future looters |
People make too big a deal about religion in naija. I saw a graphic one time of per capita beer consumption per year in the world. Nigeria was one of the highest in Africa, and looked like one of the Western countries. Now, there is NO way it can be only Christians drinking that beer, Muslims must be drinking too ![]() It is kind of a silly thing to let divide us, imo. |
You raise some good points. It isn't cut and dried. . . no real way of knowing what the right answer is until we know the details. |
Obiagu1:So be it. So long as the state/lga allocations aren't tampered with, I'm fine. Anyway, GEJ and the PDP doing that will further alienate the populace from him, making it easier to destroy the party in 2015. Really up to him what decision he makes. |
Doesn't sound Nigerian at all too me. More like a Liberian or Salone name. |
Obiagu1: ![]() Coincidentally has the benefit of shortchanging those who choose a different path than wholehearted support of the PDP ![]() Changing the rules in the middle of the game will likely create a backlash. Still, they are welcome to do it. . . I've never really valued those positions (aside from President) much anyway. |
Obiagu1:Hehe. Fair enough. Much of Nigeria is based upon lies. Beaf:Yes, Delta State is wealthier than my Ekiti State. I don't think that makes it any better/superior. . . just essentially random luck. You like to claim Lagos, but we all know its fake.I don't "claim" Lagos. I am not an indigenous Lagosian. I am Yoruba. However, I want to see Yorubaland successful. Lagos is a critical part of the success of Yorubaland in general. Look, I'm not sure if you think there is some sort of competition going on between you and I. There really is not. And I mean that in both ways the statement can be interpreted, heh. |
bashr4:Nah, let's give him a chance to respond and see what he thinks should be higher on the priority list. If this is a scholarship that sends them abroad in which they never return back to Lagos State, then yes, probably not a good idea. Really, the devil is in the details. Cannot say it is good or bad until we know exactly how it is structured. |
If the money is not stolen, the natives return home to Lagos, and the money is not used to send them abroad, I don't think anyone can complain. I'd sort of prefer to see it done as a LOAN (rather than scholarship) scheme though, where the students pay back over the course of 10 years once they graduate and get jobs. That way, it is self-renewing. |
Delta might be better compared to what Southern Nigeria would have been if it'd never been merged with the Northern protectorate. I don't really agree with you that Delta State is a failure, Obiagu1. Imperfect, yes. |
fstranger3:wtf? Educational scholarship = bad idea? Why? What would you spend the money on instead? |
Akwa Ibom got screwed. Damn. |
