rokiatu:
The dude is not stressful. Like I said earlier on, they are happy. Very much happy.

Love is not all about sex.
I don't disagree. If he is happy, then good grin I'm not being sarcastic either, it is a good thing to have that much patience, self-restraint, and will-power. He is a much better man than I am.

Roki the guy in your dp get bosoms past you sef lol.
Man I said that, and she was like, "he works out." I'm thinking in my head. . . well, I work out too, but I don't have C cup boobs

Hotie Tima:
is every woman that comes with wahala  oohhhhh pls not only us  tongue tongue tongue tongue
Lol, true.

rokiatu:
She just doesn't seem emotionally ready for marriage. And she wouldn't give in until the wedding night.
When will she be "emotionally ready"? Is she more ready now than she was before? Like, are there signs of improvement? Or it might be year #20, and still not emotionally ready?  undecided

I'm just glad my own life is simple and stress-free, not complicated like this dude's, lol

I've only recently been visiting this section (a few months ago), so didn't know the whole story  grin grin grin

Excuse my ignorance, I'm a bit gullible

Why is she waiting

What is her problem? What needs to change for her to make up her mind?

Is she waiting for him to have more money? Her/him to finish school, get a better job, move somewhere? Bride price? What can it be after nine years? lipsrsealed

You know if she'd been knocked up at the start of the relationship, she'd have an 8 year old by now. Just to tell you how much time has passed.
Politics › Re: Ribadu Remains In Presidencial Race! Cpc/Acn Talk Fails by ektbear: 4:11am On Apr 13, 2011
I'm fine with any decision that the excellent leadership of my beloved party takes. I know they'll put a lot of thought into it and not act selfishly or foolishly.

Ride on, ACN!
Romance › Re: Romance Section Chat Room II by ektbear: 4:09am On Apr 13, 2011
^-- Same here. Before I was like, "WTF, why would you be flirting online with some chick who you'll never meet in RL anyway, when your GF visits this same site too?" That to me would be so dumb.

But if it is all fake, no harm done
Romance › Re: Romance Section Chat Room II by ektbear: 4:05am On Apr 13, 2011
I am confused.

So this was all fake?

Man, exactly like a reality TV show. . . fake undecided

rokiatu:
You are so cruel Ek Bear.

Are you trying to make my friend guilty? grin
I should not even be the one to make her feel guilty. You, her other friends, her brothers, her sisters, her papa and her mama should be the one pressuring her to give it up after nine whole years  grin grin grin

kind of joking, but also half-serious

If it were me being told nine years and the girl were worth it, i might do it. But I'd probably become an alcoholic, cocaine user to make up for it  grin

I'm even wondering about this girl, that she went w/o for nine years. . . is she a human being, or a robot?   grin grin
Romance › Re: What Would U Do? by ektbear: 3:50am On Apr 13, 2011
@rokiatu: Haha, my bad. I misread grin

And yes, there are of course guys who want to marry virgins. But most of those guys also don't want to date the virgin for a decade before marrying  grin

Some Mormons I know will get married very young and not take too long with the dating, just to avoid having to remain w/o sex for so many years  grin grin grin

rokiatu:
Why is the sad smiley for?
Err, it was sort of putting myself in the dude's shoes a bit. 9 years. . . damn. I think that deserves a sad smiley, doesn't it? tongue

rokiatu:
Na you one sabi grin grin grin we they are living hapily.
shocked

You are a very cruel woman, rokiatu  undecided

What on earth are you waiting for? If you are not ready now, why will you be ready five years from now? Be more humane undecided

Anyway, maybe I shouldn't complain on his behalf. If he likes waiting that long, who am I to speak out for him? sad
Romance › Re: She Sleeps On Anoda Guy's Bed! by ektbear: 3:36am On Apr 13, 2011
My brother. What is wrong with you? You are making me sad here. Can you please, for the love of God, break up with this woman?

You will only have unnecessary heartache and pain, the path you are going.
Romance › Re: What Would U Do? by ektbear: 3:34am On Apr 13, 2011
Women are so indecisive. What is she waiting for?  undecided Is she not ready because she is waiting for him to do something (e.g., have more money)? Or just the usual women not knowing what they want in life?  undecided

Anyway, I salute that brother. He is a better man than me grin

He probably needs to give her an ultimatum to force her hand, I dunno. Or maybe he needs to petition the parents to force her to get married  grin grin
Romance › Re: What Would U Do? by ektbear: 3:29am On Apr 13, 2011
Also, what type of woman keeps a man in a relationship for 9 years w/o marrying him ?!?!?!

I think latest by year 3, you should have a good sense of whether you want to marry or not.
Romance › Re: What Would U Do? by ektbear: 3:28am On Apr 13, 2011
rokiatu:
LOL

I know a guy who has waited for 9 years and is still waiting.
He is either self-servicing or receiving something from somewhere. It sounds too fake to me grin

It would be like someone telling you they've gone nine years without eating a meal tongue Would you believe such a story?
Politics › Re: Poll: Inec Decides Anambra Crisis Wednesday by ektbear: 3:26am On Apr 13, 2011
So APGA has actually complained loudly? I remember reading some allegations of rigging by Abagworo, but OnlyTruth rightly pointed out that there wasn't an uproad by APGA.

Though truth be told, given that APGA rigged out ACN in Anambra, I'm not sure I have much sympathy for them grin

Kwara I hope gets resolved properly. Still want Benue looked into as well. . . undecided

How long would I have to wait though?

A man has got certain physical needs lipsrsealed

I think I could do six months or a year. But what if it was five years?

I could see if it is was in my 60s, when my libido goes down at a lot. But right now?  lipsrsealed

I'd probably cry grin
Romance › Re: What Would U Do? by ektbear: 3:14am On Apr 13, 2011
How long is this dude expected to wait? A month? A year? 5 years? lipsrsealed

Really sucks for that guy

Physics, you are a hilarious dude  grin grin grin

Rokiatu, you seemed fascinated with Indians. Why is this? I'm just curious. Are there a lot of them where you live? (Not saying there is anything wrong with this, just wondering how it happened.) Did you watch a lot of Bollywood movies as a kid or something?  grin tongue smiley
Politics › Re: Why Ribadu Step Down Will Not Help Buhari by ektbear: 3:05am On Apr 13, 2011
dasa:
1.   Ribadu supporters will be split between GEJ and Buhari. Most of Ribadu's Northern supporters will go to Buhari
Ribadu doesn't really have any northern supporters, lol.

while the souttherners will mostly go to GEJ.
This I disagree with. Ribadu voters and Buhari voters are pretty similar. . . in part because Ribadu and Buhari offer the same things as candidates.

2.   Because of the late timming, millions of Ribadu/ACN supporters especially in the rural areas will not get the info or understand it.
A) Information percolates VERY quickly, at least for my own somewhat rural village. . . we listen to the radio and pay attention to politics, and vote in large #s.
B) SW Nigeria isn't that rural (compared to say the middle belt or the north)
C) Populace is pretty literate and informed. Only a small fraction will vote for Ribadu by mistake.

Anyway, it might fail to give Buhari the victory. But it will greatly help his chances, in my opinion. Probably 70% of Ribadu supporters will chose Buhari. The other 30% will choose GEJ. Net winner of that scenario is Buhari.
Politics › Re: Poll: Inec Decides Anambra Crisis Wednesday by ektbear: 2:49am On Apr 13, 2011
PDP will have a strict majority, so unfortunately he cannot be Senate President unless he decamps to PDP.

If Buhari wins though and enough PDP senate members defect to the CPC (probably likely at least for the northern senators) to give the ACN/CPC a majority, then perhaps he can get that slot.
Politics › Re: Benin Ore Road Has Been Fixed!(Some pictures) by ektbear: 2:42am On Apr 13, 2011
^-- This is why at times I don't have hope for Nigeria.

Imagine waiting 5 years+ for a road to be fixed/expanded  undecided Where I live, if they need to fix the road, it is a two week project.

If they want to CONSTRUCT a brand new highway, 2-3 years, max.

5+ years for not just a road. . . but the most important road in the country? I don't get it.
