Seplat trading at All-time low. @megainvest must be watching this one closely. |
Aks:What has changed? Except if you are talking about one week bull. |
SMC:You are definitely not alone on this one. |
donmarshia:No, to qualify you must sell on 24th August 2015 or after. |
planetuzor:December. http://www.nse.com.ng/Issuers-section/corporate-disclosures/regulatory-filing-calendar |
chukyjones:Yes e be like say dat one go soon start e journey. If Stanbic reach 15, e for no bad at all. |
lancee:Noted. Thanks |
lancee:Thanks bros for this wonderful information. Please how can I access other stocks on that website apart from typing into the URL field? Meanwhile, I didn't see my company name among the list of Major Owners ![]() |
angelo82:We are talking about All-time low (not year low). All-time low is All-time low weda intercontinental merger or not. Did Access not acquire Marina Bank some years ago before intercontinental merger? Bros be kiaful of dis ya investment emotions ooo . You don transfer emotions from FBNH to Access abi. |
With all the opportunities presented by the bears so far, I just dey imagine one guy wey go come NSEMPA come dey say: ...may I use this opportunity to appeal to you all to sell more Oando this week to enable my company acquire 3% of Oando before the end of this year. Our aim is to transform Oando. Please help us by selling your Oando this week, you can still buy it back when it is cheap. Thanks for being a partner in progress. ![]() |
natruetalk:Thanks a lot. I just confirmed that it traded @1.45 in August 2002 |
Youngzedd: No be this same CADBURY talk say dem don too get money for cash reserve and dem no know wetin dem wan take am do so tey dem com say na to cancel shareholders shares and adjust the price to N90 or thereabout (in a volatile market like NSE). Heavy scam to shareholders. Now u can buy it at N30 and before the end of this bear we may see it at N25 or even N20. |
PETERiCHY: angrybull:Bros check your record well. Access was listed on the NSE in 1998. Are you saying they listed at above N4.00? I'm not sure about their all-time low but during the last market crash Access traded around N3.50. |
mrsage:You may want to look at the banking sector. Some of the stocks are currently trading at their 5-year lows. |
Born2berich:According to the NSE, “although the company recorded a profit for the half-year ended 30 June 2015, its revenue reserve is still in the negative as the interim profit could not wipe off the negative reserve.” Did the shameless NSE not see this before approving and publishing the dividend on their website? We should only buy into reputable blue chip coys because dis our NSE has magical powers. |
Investmind:Na wa for NSE sha... |
The current bear is good for long term investors. It may be time to start building a long term portfolio or adding to an existing one if the stocks are trading at a discount to your initial entry. Most stocks are already trading close to or lower than their 5-year lows. For JIJO masters who are already on a loss, next time please don't try to be smart by trading in a bearish market. It favours only a few smart ones who don't mix emotions with investment. Never average down or add to a losing trade. How do you know the market will not continue to go down? Imagine averaging down a second time, and then a third time, and so on... until you're short of funds. It is tempting to buy stocks at cheaper prices but this is only recommended for long positions, not a losing JIJO position. We should learn to ALWAYS establish a stop-loss with any particular trade or have a target price at which you must sell should the market move against you. If you're stopped out and the stock price resumes an uptrend instead, no problem, let it go. What if the opposite had happened and there was a continued downtrend? If you apply stop-loss strategy you have no business with the risk associated with averaging down. If you must average down, wait until there is a clear direction in the market and prices start moving up then start accumulating. If you choose to do this, don't wait until you start making profit before you sell as the price may never get to your breakeven point before profit taking kicks in. If you have considerably reduced your losses you may sell just when the trade is about to change direction. This is just my opinion ooo. I am patiently waiting for ASI to hit 27,585 before I start to dance shoki. I wish everyone quick recovery. |
angrybull:I wish all BnSiTL were as wise and understood this. @Manonamission, thanks for the beautiful write-up. Some people just don't get it. They keep encouraging Myjoy to keep the 'bullish encouragement' coming. A time will come when the same people will accuse Myjoy for the present condition of their portfolios and blame him for not seeing tomorrow. The thunder that will fire this set of people when that time comes does not need to do press-up ![]() |
Kuwaitboy:...and this is your first post in NSEMPA. |

angelo82:Amen! I know they'll be back on their feet again. My prayers are also with them. |
donofdons:Bros we don settle dis matter before. If you cannot let the cat out of the bag, silently accumulate your Evansmed alone. |
angelo82:If FBN continues to attach bonus to the paltry dividends, it may be a good reason for investors to run away. How can you expect them to give more bonuses, join dis one wey dem dey now? ![]() |
Born2berich:Oando is a big scam. The same goes for Transcorp. Study their charts closely and you will find too much correlations. The day Oando gains 10%, Transcorp gains 10% or something close. For now, these coys are only good for short term trades and with the eyes wide opened. Anyone going for long term is taking huge risk and would be better off buying Universal insurance. |
angelo82:I don't think they will jump to 50 kobo from 10 kobo dividend. When they slashed their dividend from N1.10 kobo to 10 kobo, it was apparent (at least, to me) that they were trying to rebase their dividend while retaining much of their earnings. If they pay 20 kobo as 2015 dividend, that will be a 100% dividend increase which investors will be forced to see as an improvement in dividend payout. The dividend may continue in such succession and increament, showing consistency in dividend payment until they get to the former N1.10 which they paid for 2013 accounting year. FBN has been trying to swim with the sharks and that was what affected them. Better meat dey show face for inside soup, kpomo self dey show itself. FBN need to improve on their ROE and allow investors value it appropriately before trying to measure up with the likes of GTB and Zenith. I know you are emotionally attached to FBN but try not to expect too much from them. |
Ugoobuz: AkinadeDare:Why is no one thanking ChibuBaba? WHAT IF we are headed for a market crash? Chibuking, I want to appreciate your effort in discouraging and advising investors whenever the market seemed to go lower. keep it up my King! Your presumed negative contributions (persistent 'bearish' warnings, even when the market is bullish) cannot be underemphasized. Very soon some of us shall smile when ASI hits 28,000. Chibuking abeg when the Grandpapa of all bears dey come? Bargain hunters are tired of this slow motion bear. Oga Agba, wake me up wen Afriprud reach N1.99 ![]() |
Born2berich:Proshare is the Grandpapa of MHs. |
donofdons:Bros if you have any reliable information about Evans Med, go ahead and spill it. Don't make it sound like Monkey Hunting. You don't expect people to buy because you said so. At least, give them a reason to buy, e.g. acquisition or something. |
ogajoe:Contact the registrars and they will tell you when to expect your dividend and bonus. Tel: 234-1-2799880, 2701078, 2701079 E-mail:- info@firstregistrarsnigeria.com |
