Born2berich: From what i observed this morning, it is obvious some greedy top cowboys in the NSE are the ones manipulating the prices to fall down so that they can buy at very cheap prices. This is very true on some selected stocks, e.g. Oando |

PETERiCHY: Some moons ago i said DEVALUATION is the CATALYST that will set the market back on track but some of you termed it a selfish interest. Now what is happening? This post is not specifically for The Octopus but the general house, especially the MHs. I hate it when people post statement like the above. What if the opposite had happened? What if the President had agreed to further devaluation and the market continued in the direction of its current trend, would you have come out to say that what you predicted didn't happen? The answer is NO. We come out to make noise only when the market trends in the direction of our prediction. If it trends against our prediction we'll automatically go incommunicado regarding the issue. We need Change! |

ukay2: Good morning stock gurus.. Is Nigeria Flour mills stock good to buy @ N20 or N21 for short to medium term investment? I recently added this stock to my long term portfolio. It is currently trading at its 5-year low. This could be a good time to enter a long term position on this stock. Always base your investment horizon on a mid/long term. If you get to your target price in a short time you may convert to short term and sell. This way you don't get high BP if the market move against you. |

manie: Multiple streams of income is the best way to build a lasting wealth, get dividends from your stocks, interests on your savings, rental income from your houses, profits from businesses, treasury bills and bond. 15% guaranteed returns on a short term investment is okay, but a dividend yield of 15% is better. You didn't mention the risks associated with CP. |

Manonamission: Please send your mandates by email to Morgan capital. info@morgancapitalgroup.com copy pelumio@morgancappitalgroup.com
This was what I did yesterday. Goodluck guys but try not to panic too much o Morgan can't even sell. So even if you send your mandate by email nothing can be done. I called them this morning and they said they can't even sell. They are currently working on it and said it should be up before the end of market. Nothing like Meristem. |

debostar: Is it possible to make use of Morgan I trade to do stop loss.or limit loss? emmatok: I have not seen any Nigerian Stock Broker do that yet. You have monitor and do "STOP LOSS" your self. Yes, you can set stop-loss with morgan via their jobbing platform (not the Live trading section). However, that platform is not well developed so you may want to avoid using it or use it with utmost care. I have tried using stop-loss with the platorm but my stock was sold before it got to my stop price. Meristem used to have stop-loss and stop-limit but not anymore. According to them, they're currently working on it and have plans to restore it. Meanwhile, you can improvise with the Limit order. Let's say you bought a stock for N20 and want to set your stop price at N18, you may place a sell limit order at N17.10 or thereabout (with meristem). With the +/-5% maximum gain/loss rule (assuming there was no pre-open gain/loss) the stock will only be sold when it trades at +/-5% of your limit price. |

FannySwindler: Surprisingly, I have not read anything bull trap...bear bull trap...baby bull trap....today. I can even see those shouting "....... trap" celebrating their Access and UBA loot. Lesson: Follow the technique that works well for you and pick up some useful advice from the thread. For those who give hints....You are all appreciated. For those who talk from both sides of their mouth...You are also appreciated because without that...some of us will not have been cautious in responding to the market trend. Learner like me gained a lot in terms of being watchful and patient...while listening to advice. Also portfolio smiles day after day...without loosing a dime. Am Thankful and still willing to learn. |
