Dadehmola: How does this correlate with the discourse??
Elampiro, no vex but guy...you are stùpid!!
You're are an olodo. Go and check the link you sent to me. That's what is there.
Dadehmola: Your IQ is lower than my initial estimate..
How can a hyena be padding up assists??
You sure say you well so??
You're are a disgrace. You truly don't know football. Why won't he cope Assists when he stays in the box and takes corner kicks?
The closer you play to a goal, the more likely you get more Assists. When you play inside the box, you are likely to increase your Assists. There's likely going to be a dropped ball or unclear loose ball that is meant to be laid for a team mate. Also when you take corner kicks for your team.
Last season when RVP assisted Rooney's goal I believe it was against Hull, he was inside the box and the defender missed the ball, then RVP did one touch back to Rooney who was outside the box to shoot into the net.
Compare to Assists provided by Suarez and Sturridge for instance, then you will know why RVP is an hyena and a poacher.
Dadehmola: So the "lazy" Rvp doesn't drift out wide, right?
You are actually more clueless than I thought.
Statements like these would continue to cement your position as that Dull Poster with a very low IQ...
In one breath,RVP is a hyena who waits for chances. In another breath, he takes corners because he cannot struggle In the box for those chances you told us he waits for. Iastly, he garners assists because he stays in the box to lay off passes.
What kinda lame reasoning is this?
I ask again - why should a hyena be taking corners when he should be doing his hyena job in the box.
I am waiting...
1. RVP doesn't drift like Drogba. RVP that complains that his team mates were playing in his zone (around the box).
Although Drogba will not pass as such strikers like Henry, Suarez who went past men. That makes Drogba a kind of a poacher. I already said there are levels of poachers, I told Chrisley024 that RVP was on a higher level than Chicharito and Inzaghi.
2. You're are repeating one question like a drunk. I won't answer that after now. Set plays don't count. Anyone can take set plays. We are talking about open play, handwork, dribling and bursting forward.
I provided a video where Ronaldo took the ball from our own half went past three men to score a great solo goal, as an evidence on how to win matches for a team. Then some said RVP also traveled with the ball. I laf.
3. I will bring the stats later when I am chanced. Perhaps my last response to you. You go round circles. So do you honestly think Messi and Ronaldo don't have high shots outside the box? High dribbling rate?
chrisley024: @elampiro, so is Rooney presently also a hyena since he can hardly go pass a crippled?. Drogba also?.
You don't become an hyena in one season or half way into a season. However, Rooney average pass per match is still very high despite his poor form. It means he is participating, only that he is not performing. His feet are very slow this season, coupled with our system which gives too few chances in a game.
When you look Van Persie hatrick against Arsenal, on 12th minute he missed a point blank chance from about 4 yards with goalkeeper at the other end of the goal. Then he scored a tap in into an empty net on 35th minute. In Gaal's style today, that second opportunity wouldn't have come to lift the striker, and I doubt if we have had a chance to tap into an empty net this season.
Dadehmola: How can this kinda player be labelled as a hyena??
Mehn you gotta attend a cross-over today and pray hard - this kinda foolishness must not be carried into the new year.
I just looked at the link you provided. RVP couldn't muster one 'very strong' despite playing in a weak league. You didn't understand what you posted.
.....
Again, the above is the reason he's an hyena. When he was in Arsenal, he alone blocked the route to goals and coped individual stats to himself at the expense of team mates. He left Arsenal and everyone suddenly began learning how to score, they hardly struggle for top 4 finish as before while crowing it with trophies.
Dadehmola: And we keep telling you to stop ptyalising this kinda rubbish on a public forum.
This logic of yours tells us that ; Any player that cannot run with the ball is a hyena??
Drogba must also be a hyena like inzaghi and chicharito.
How reasonable does this sound to you sef?
And you actually feel you "know ball" ??
Another foolish comparison..
Are these players CFs??
For the umpteenth time, why should a Hyena be taking corners and freekicks into the box when we all know that hyenas should be in that same box waiting to pounce on loose balls and rebounds??
Maybe you should give us examples of other hyenas that take free - kicks & corners with the intention of assisting goals.
You said you were gonna supply the stats, only for you to come up with some irrelevant numbers from an unknown source.
I still dey wait for those stats & the website -you are surely gonna defeat yourself with whatever numbers you post here.
Meanwhile, this is the description of Rvp by your beloved whoscored.com. How can these kinda player be dubbed "hyena"??
1. Drogba is not lazy. Drogba goes to the wing sometimes. He doesn't stay around the box area 99% of the time. However, Drogba is not like Ronaldo, Messi who can be credited with winning the league for their teams with numerous times taking the ball single handedly past men to score. Also Henry was such a genius who could go past men.
2. I thought you were going to dispute Jones and Blind don't take corner kicks. Corner kicks can be taken by anyone. If you with your big tummy is given a chance to play for a team in Lagos, your job could be just to take corner kicks since you would be a liability in the struggle for conversion.
3. You're talking about stats. Yes I will bring that of Ronaldo and Messi when I have the time. Anyone with opta can confirm that all the stats I have given are 100% correct.
Eastbay: You have a nonsense superiority complex. I repeat, you are not making sense to anyone.
People posted evidence that van Persie was critical to Uniteds success in 2012/13 despite you contorting the evidence to your convenience. I brought stats in a season where van Persie had 10 assists despite you howling like a hyena that van Persie was a hyena.
I don't want to insult you but you really are an unreasonable, insufferable, intolerable and mumuic individual with an over bloated estimation of your intelligence.
Please do not quote me again until you are ready to debate meaningfully.
Your gutter disposition to issues is the major reason why this thread is in shambles.
Or are you going to sing Ras Kimono or call names as usual?
Who are you to say I shouldn't quote you? You have been insulting all these while and left you. Why won't someone in the box have Assists when everything falls on his feet for tap ins, rebounds and lay backs to team mates.
I am yet to see any stats which shows Van Persie won the league. He scored just 26 goals. In Arsenal he scored 30 and couldn't win the league for Arsenal. Suarez scored 31 goals and couldn't win the league for Liverpool. So how did 26 goals become a league winner while?
RVP was just an opportunists who rode on the solidity of United team to gain an EPL medal. If he didn't come we would have won the league with 100 points instead of 89 points because we had far less injuries than when we finished 89*points the previous seasons and De Gea and Welbeck had matured.
tess1: Twisting don start again o. The argument was that RVP won the league for us in comparison with what Rooney as our leading scorer in the previous season would`ve offered us in 2012/13 season.
Otherwise, why did i highlighted when Rooney wasn`t available or not scoring? Why were you bringing in Rooney`s argument? Why haven`t you made any argument for Giggs and others? Why did you also brought up the issue of Rooney scoring during RVP`s drought?
How would we have done worst?
If we didn`t have RVP that season, we wouldn`t have been able to win the league.
You're the one twisting it. I said RVP didn't win the league because we had a better results the previous season without him. He walked into a solid team ready to win the league baring injuries as DDG had matured, so with Welbeck.
Then I went further to to prove RVP didn't win the league, that we extended our lead between January and March winning 21 points in 8 matches even though RVP scored just one goal. Just imagine if we lost 5 of the matches RVP went dry. So he cannot be credited with winning the league.
I brought in Rooney to prove that he led the goals during that important period RVP had a drought. That doesn't mean he won all the matches. RVP too did not win all our matches prior to that period. I want to believe he didn't win us up to 30 points all season. I haven't done the calculations though. Yet we won the league with 89 points, same feet we achieved previously without him with better scoring form.
Raumdeuter, I just saw the video now titled RVP skills. Please stop wasting my mb jor.
If you put Chicharito, Phil Jones, Diouf, Inzaghi you would get exactly same thing.
Just go watch Henry, Tevez, Rooney at their peak and see how people cover miles with the ball. Even Saha sef burst forward with the ball. RVP was just turning on one spot wrestling with the ball like a dog given the ball to play with. I said it, RVP cannot travel with the ball. This another confirmation from compilation of his career best on the clip you provided.
tess1: We wouldn`t have been in second. I have done the calculation for you to see that if we remove those games Rooney won for us during RVP`s drought we would still be at the top with 3 points lead because Man City lost 2 matches, drew 2 and won four. This will make Man Utd to have 68 points while Man City will have 65 points.
What kind of analysis is this?
Was it only Rooney who scored during that period? What if we only maintained the 5 points lead or even did worse? Remember the argument is that RVP did not win the league. So when he didn't score, we won all virtually all out games? How many points there? 21 points we won when RVP scored one goal in 8 league games?
Dadehmola: Stop typing this kinda nonsense - it makes mockery of your supposed "punditry Nous"
Lies....
Aside the direct freekicks, Rvp assisted so many goals by putting deliveries into dangerous areas.
Ps - Give us another example of a hyena that garners assists from free kicks and corners..
Instead of all these epistles, provide us with the stats and of course, the website where you got them from.
In addition to whatever stats you wanna upload, let's see the no of chances created by each player.
1. You have not been able to counter me on the fact that RVP cannot travel with the ball. When he played for us, I doubt if I saw him run with the ball from outside the final third into the box. I am not talking of chasing a pass, I am talking of having the ball on your feet and try a 'Ramirez burst or a Nani' s burst, etc. Like Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo, Nani used to do. Even Saha sef.
2. Taking set play doesn't stop one from being an hyena. Anyone can take set play. Blind takes for us, Jones took for us in two matches.
3. Go and check the stats yourself. I have already given you the position. Ronaldo and Messi take nearly 50% of their shots outside the box, they have about 4-6 dribbles per match. How can you use them to compare an hyena like Van Persie?
Eastbay: So when van Persie was left winger at Arsenal what was he doing with the ball?
Apparently the hyena here is you. No insult intended, because you behave like one.
The only surprise so far is that your lapdog hasn't shown up here to bark nonsense
You're confused. I never mentioned when he was a winger. Again not every winger that can travel with the ball. Mata in the wing doesn't travel with it, even though he is not a traditional winger.
Dadehmola: This is the most foolish thing I have read this year. Read it again and agree.
Why would a coach "waste" the services of a hyena on freekicks when he should be in the box?
Give us links to your sites and let's check for ourselves. By the time you see the stats of players like Ronaldo and co, this your foolish arguments go end.
1. RVP cannot travel with ball. It's true.
2. Hyena can take free kicks na, when everyone else stands watching. You're taking about aiming at the goal 70% of the free kicks taken.
3. Bringing Ronaldo and Messi into the equation will further confirm my claim that RVP is an hyena. You're talking about players with 4 to 6 dribbles per game. Ronaldo and Messi have nearly half of their shots outside of the box. In some seasons, Ronaldo had more shots outside of the box. It's only this season Ronaldo stats are getting closer to the goal.
elrony: Elamps I can't insult you na... you know I'm not that crazy to attempt that...
how can I argue with a Blind man who sees daylight and calls it darkness....
I agree with you anytime you make plausible posts (cos they are valid assertions) BUT
You blow ur Baloney outta proportion and still won't admit to visible truth....
so what will be the need of any argument with you?
PS ; FEDEX will deliver your new year gift soonest! !
my real nigguh
You have not countered my argument. The only person who has made an attempt to counter my argument is Tess1.
I brought fact that RVP scored 1 goal when we stretched our lead from 5 points in January to 15 points in March. How is this fact the same as arguing blindly? You guys are the ones arguing blindly. You are so many but no one makes sense after I submitted my facts.
Again I said RVP is an hyena. Hyena is an opportunist animal which feeds on what others have hunted. If you go back to Man United players, Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Nani, you would see them drop deep, drive the ball forward at great speed and sometimes interchanging passes before they finish it off. You will see great counter attacks involving Rooney, Nani, Ronaldo, Park time and time again. You see them dropping deep to tackle the ball in our half, winning it and moving forward with it. Workers!
They don't sit around the final 3rd. Same with Suarez at Liverpool. Thiery Henry goes far away takes the ball and destroy everything on his way before slotting in.
I never referred to his days before he became a striker. Again you brought one video, even Chicharito and Izhaghi have some days and moments outside the box if you isolate moments.
They understood what they meant when they brought the word 'poacher' to this argument. I didn't introduce it. They also knew very well what we meant by hyena.
But why you come dey come when I don tire? Hope you won't make me go repeat all that I have been saying for days and nights now.
What do you think it's a poacher in football? I guess you have seen me used hyena here for about 3 years. When RVP was here, there guys never argued RVP was not an hyena because they saw for themselves week in week out. Now he's gone, they can deny. Lol
So calling people hyena, judging yourself as winner among all your gaffes gives you the impression that you are making any iota of sense to anybody, yourself inclusive?
If you can't tell me what I don't know, then stop quoting me. how hard can that be to a simpleton like you?
Park well jare. Next thing you know your gutter-mouthed sidekick will join in with his incoherent bollocks.
Show me anywhere I have not proven my case beyond reasonable doubt.
tess1: Why did you include Champions league and FA Cup matches? Were we talking about that? Did i include Rooney's Champions league and FA Cup matches? That is deceit.
This wasn't what you said earlier.
These are what you typed:
Another quote from you:
You mentioned CONSECUTIVE.
This is another lie. I've already said it that those two games were far apart. We had Stoke, West Ham, Aston Villa and Arsenal within the two games. They were not consecutive matches and there was nothing like losing 8 points in three consecutive matches as you have wrongly said. Don't you know the meaning of consecutive?
OK.
We lost 5 points in three games between City and West Ham. If we didn't win previous fixtures when RVP didn't score, we would be second.
Secondly, my screen shot showed 8 Premier League matches, and 13 matches overall. When I did screen shot for Rooney matches I also included FA Cup and UCL. It's not a deceit. I was just trying to let everyone see the overall picture .
I think you need to understand that not everyone will agree with you, moreso when you come across as rude and unreasonable.
You jumped into an argument that's been going on for 4 days and 4 nights without knowing what's about, then you took side without knowing why. You expected me to start the argument all over step by step?
Eastbay: Isn't it funny that you are the judge in your own matter?
Guy relax with this rooney obsession. the fellow is misfiring more than an engine with bad oil.
The argument is not about misfiring or firing. It's not about scoring or not scoring. You need to first find out what the argument is about. Look before you leap. Don't just jump in.
Eastbay: You set your exam, marked your script and gave yourself first class.
Despite the obvious failings of your hero who has been outscored by people who spent less time in the top division this 2015.
When people present superior logic, you call names. When people raise simple questions, you talk like a palm-wine drinkard.
And you want us to take you seriously.
It's clear I won it emphatically. A resounding victory. I proved my cases with stats and facts. Van Persie went dry when we extended our lead from 5 points to 15 points in a period of two months as remaining fixtures wind down. Rooney became our scorer and we went on an insoumatable lead.
Those players coming to EPL this season, when will they achieve what Rooney has achieved in football, like finishing 5th best player in the world.
elampiro: You have answered this already. You already said we were 5 points ahead of City in January 2013. What you failed to understand is that were 15 points clear two months on from that time.
On March 16th when Rooney again scored a late goal to send us 15 points clear at the top of the league in a difficult game against Reading we didn't deserve to win, after Everton beat City 2-0, Van Persie was on a goals drought. He only scored 1 goal in our two nil win over Everton during that period. That's about two months. Van Persie went on about 9 league games scoring 1 goal (1 goal in about 13 matches overall).
Tess1, please pay attention to details. This was the original post, and you quoted it last night.
1. I clearly said about 9 league games. I was speaking off hand as it's actually 8 league games.
2. Yes it's 13 games overall.
3. It's the period we stretched our lead from 5 points to 13.
tess1: Can you people imagine this? We are talking about EPL matches, elampiro is lumping both FA Cup matches and Champions league into it. Is this a deliberate act to deceive or is it that he can't see properly. Please look at the attachment file very well. This guy should be using a Binocular.
What is conservative fixtures? If you meant to type consecutive fixtures, then you don't know the meaning of consecutive fixtures because these two fixtures had four fixtures within and West Ham is one is one of the games. This guy needs to go back to school.
We can now see who is really struggling. I am done.
Do you pay attention to details at all? I said RVP scored 1 goal in about 8-9 league games and 13 matches overall in a period of about two months when we stretched out lead over City.
Secondly, we dropped 8 points from our fixtures against City, Chelsea and West Ham. The only game among these three fixtures was against Stoke. I had clarified earlier that we lost 8 points in four matches in row.
Ignaz: your Instruments should be fed to wolves! you make baseless statements in haste to win arguments. you've exposed countless times but still won't give up. were you cursed to argue?
a striker's duty is to play close to the goalkeeper? what kind of ogogoro inspired analysis is this?
bring your stats
I never said playing close to the goalkeeper is a crime. But when you play close to the goalkeeper always, you are a poacher. When you do it season after season everywhere you go, then you are a confirmed poacher.
elrony: a useless lawyer that can provoke the judge and get his client life imprisonment with hard labour , for a felony! ...
The law is the law. Judgement is given based on prove and evidence, not on provocation. One who is ill informed will always get provoked when faced with superior arguments and facts .
tess1: Won what? That's very childish. Your answer would've given you F9 in a comprehension passage because you didn't answer the question.
Which one is Real stretch and which one is Fake stretch? Is there any thing like Real stretch? English Language na problem o. A stretch is a stretch. Those 1 point, 2 points and 5 points are called what? Fake stretch?
Man City wouldn't have been able to recover those points because they too were not in form. The lost two games, drew two and won four. Let's even remove the games that Rooney won for us during that period which was nine points. Four games were won without Rooney's goal being the deciding goal. That means we gained 12 points while Man City gained 14 points. This means that we would have had 68 points while Man City would've had 65 points before RVP started banging in the goals.
We lost 8 points in three consecutive matches? Meaning that we only drew one match out of three consecutive matches. I'll like to know those consecutive matches. Don't dodge this one again o.
What you described was a lead. That which happened between November ending and January was us leading Man City. I mean the 5 points. What happened between January and March is stretching the lead from 5 points to 15 points. Do you underhand now? And we stretched the lead as the games wind down.
"Everything must fall to him", yet he takes freekicks and corners when he could as well stay in the box hoping for rebounds and mistakes?
Go and find out the number of assists he had at Arsenal ( especially when he became a CF)
Bring the stats...
1. Did tell a lie? RVP cannot run with the ball in his feet. That's why he's an hyena.
2. Free kicks add to goals na. The corners are mandated by coaches. However, we are talking about open play. 3. RVP has a low dribbling rate. Few touches of the ball and shoots close to the goal. How's not an hyena?
Do you know RVP once had 11 touches of the ball in 90 minutrs?
Using Manchester United Shots outside the box to shots inside the box
Van Persie 2012/2013 40 outside outside 102 inside RVP for Arsenal previous season Shots outside the box 37 inside the box 137
Rooney 2011/12 84 shots outside the box 73 inside. 2010/2011 49 outside 50 inside the box 2009/2010 81 outside the box 101 inside
Luiz Suarez shots at Liverpool 2013/14 Outside the box 77 inside 114 2012/13 outside the box 68 inside 119
3b. Dribbling/Passes at their high scoring seasons.
Suarez 3/38 per match Rooney 1.3/50 per match Persie 0.7/26 per match
