raumdeuter:All these are unnecessary excuses. Zaha didn't live up. He was to be the next Ronaldo at Old Trafford. SAF bought him far ahead of the transfer window. Torres was no near finish at Liverpool. He was one of the best strikers in the world. He could take on two defenders to score. All of that disappeared the moment he got to Chelsea. Overhypping doesn't count here because we are looking at players who met their ruin at a new club. Robinho, Chevchenko, Kezman were even worse than Paulinho considering the amount involved and the fact they were already used to life in Europe. |
Dadehmola:Paulinho was misused. He was supposed to be used as a DM but on his arrival we saw him missing chances in front of goal. Then there was a change of coach at Tottenham. Just imagine if after few weeks Mikel arrived at Chelsea, Mourinho had to leave. |
raumdeuter:Wilfred Zaha. Fernando Torres ![]() Chevchenko Kezman Robinho There was a certain Hulk who was being praised then he changed club and that was the end. |
Look again at a winning team. Slow midfield but fast and physical full backs and wingers. We are looking at the right blend between technicality, speed and physicality. Put Xavi and Fabregas in the midst of Darmian, Blind, Lingard, they team will remain stagnant because every team needs a blend. Some players should be able to carry the ball 40 yards forward.
|
raumdeuter:Wrong choice of club ruined many players, although some were able to turn it around. |

Look at the circumstances I said these words. It was reported Thiago refused us, so I thought we should just forget him. I even called him Thiago Lacasera because I was angry the way it was reported he snubbed us like Shit. It was much later they said we didn't even go for him, that we had our sight on Fabregas from the onset.
|
Dadehmola, The only thing that gets Leicester going is because they got players (midfielders inclusive) with faster legs. All the teams in the top four, except us have midfielders who are physical and play faster than us). What we lack in midfield, we could make it up in the wings and full backs position. Look at Barca. Look at their full backs. Even Iniesta is not slow when played in midfield. Look at Pedro and Sanchez with speed and physicality in their wings. Messi is not slow, he has the speed of a lightening and most balance on the ball. Without this combination, Xavi technicality will go to a waste. Schweinsteiger is very technical but no one to run with the ball for him.
|
raumdeuter:Players go in and out of from. Sometimes wrong choice of club prematurely terminates a player's potentials. Again Paulinho was never one of my top choices. I never called Paulinho when our stransfer options were fresh, only when they vanished. |
Dadehmola:That year when I mentioned Neymar to be a world super star, I was attacked. I mentioned Paulinho only after all our options thinned out. At the end, we all reluctantly supported Fellaini. Which team has a physical midfield these days? If there are real good physical midfielders like Owen Hargreaves and Roy Kean they would rule. |
And it's official. Nani is the best player in the Turkish league. Not just the best but by far the best with 7.71 rating. The rest coming at 7.5 How we allowed Nani and Di Maria to leave same window beats my imagination. I lamented about this last summer.
|
Even in Champions League, Chicha is 7th best in his team.
|
chrisley024:We are not adequately covered in the left back. It was the position we started the season with one player. Blind and Rojo were LCB. However, defenders are very instrumental in propelling the forwards to be more effective. You remember the difference in our play once Luke Shaw broke his leg in PSV. Look at Alaba, Marcelo and Alves. |
This is the difference between Nani an Chicharito. - Nani is the best player in his team. Van Persie is 13th best in same team. - Chicharito is 9th best in his team. Chicharito has no Assist. Nani is a winger, Chicha is a striker. Our problem is not striking, it's creation. Fast creation.
|
SIRcumalot:I actually meant Evra's last two seasons. |
All the players you people are waiting for will not come. We are going to have a dry January. Then next summer we will speculate from May to August. Then September we will buy Lukaku or Vardy. We will buy one winger from Tottenham. Buy Alli. Then a new season starts. Robben has said he will like to be in Bayern until 2017. |
chrisley024:If we had Nani, I bet you we would have scratched wins from 70% of the games drew. He has the pace to carry the ball into final third. He has the dribbling to go past markers. He has the skills to go past bodies in a tight packed defence. With Nani the space will appear in the final third. Then others will score from one of the numerous clear cut chances. He can break a defender's waist at short notice from a tight position. |
SIRcumalot:Rafael was weak defensively, particularly against technical players and dribblers. He and Evra were clueless to the technicality, dribbling of such players as Silva, Nasri, Hazard, Moses, Sturridge. Even Oscar tormented us. Rafael was good going forward and running to match the pace of such players like Bellamy and Milner. |
SIRcumalot:Nani would have done something. I know he is inconsistent. But he was always consistent whenever he was allowed to do on the field whatever he wanted. When he had no completion. When Ronaldo was here, Nani blew hot and cold. When Valencia broke his leg in 2010 season Nani upped his game after becoming the main winger and a great creator. Valencia returned, Nani's confidence was rocked again, then Val went on a second long spell injury, then Nani lifted his game and became the main winger of the team. He also had some inconsistencies whenever young was fit. This is the time he was suppose to carry us again with little on no competition on the right wing. Too bad too, Valencia is on his third long term injury since joining Manchester United. I pray he and Luke Shaw return to the level they were before they got injured, at least. |
SIRcumalot:Exactly. |
weedtaker:Chicharito will struggle. He was always struggling in Madrid except in just one match. If a striker struggled in that Madrid team of last season, he wouldn't do well in this team. There were some Matches it looked like Chicha was not even in the the field. Chicharito is not 1/8 as good as Martial. |
Leyqute:We need any an immediate fix for the rest of the season. |
SIRcumalot:Nani has bossed this league before. He will offer far more than Mata and Lingard. What we lack is players who can take the ball in split seconds to the final third. When Valencia did that for us against CSKA and some other teams, some people said he should have done better by playing like Neymar. Lol Now we have players who can hardly defend let alone carry the ball 10 yards. What we hear is they are trying in their primary duties. But Valencia took out Musa and yet provided a great attacking play from defence. Another person compared him with that Bayern Munich winger. How can one compare an attacking play from a full back of Val and a Bayern player who played number 11 position? |
weedtaker:Chicha is a striker. He will struggle much worse than Rooney in Gaal's system. He is a poacher, he won't even see the ball. |
I missed the match yesterday. When I asked from someone about the match, without prompt he started from poor performance of Darmian. He said he was very poor in passing, lost possession which is very poor for a defender. He went further to complain about his crosses. I said that is his weaker foot. |
I Nani 5 goal 4 Assists. He has same goal as Van Persie. Van Persie has 1 Assists. So let's buy Nani back in January. He will help to propel our attacking play. |
Leicester already one goal up at Swansea |
It's looks like I will miss our match for the first time today. I am on the road, please you people should give proper commentary incase I am unable to stream it |
streetzdreamz:Exactly. |
dopeJemi:I'll Fellaini to be starting. He will give us a different dimension, and he's an old timer in the league. But Gaal might even opt for 3-5-2 and play Martial and Memphis as strikers. |
streetzdreamz:That's what everyone should preach to people before it's too late for them. |
streetzdreamz:The solution. Don't carry gun. |
DDG Darmian McNair Smalling Blind Carrick Schweinsteiger Mata Fellaini Young Martial Still strong to win. |
