SailorXY: Great. What's he waiting for? We are all in for the cheddar, ain't we? £480k/week After the Chinese system tax (let's assume it's Rooney who is to pay the tax), that's still above £400k take home weekly for the next 3 years from Summer 2016- summer 2019 when he will be approaching 34. That's a deal. If he's not after money, he can decide to take £200k to play for another European club. Going to China means he will be going into obscurity and not going to play for England after Euro 2016. It's a choice though. MLS will still be waiting for him after China. Last summer, journalist asked him if he would ever play in the MLS, he said yes, at some point in his career he would. |

A report says a Chinese club is offering Rooney £25m salary/year for 3 years. That's £75m straight to his pocket.
He currently earns £15.6m
See money. This is temptation for the 30 years old.

lookingfly: negativity or not, AIT only said the truth...... Where is the country heading to when v your so called APC governors say they can no longer c pay minimum wage. I think that's because of the fallen crude oil price. Crude oil price averaged $105/barrel in 5 years of Jonathan's rule. By January this year Iweala told us Nigeria was already borrowing to pay salary. That's after 5 years of oil windfall, the highest ever. Jonathan government reduced our reserves drastically. In comparison, an oil Exporting nation like Norway built their reserves such that they became one of the strongest country in the world financially. Noway lend to super power nations while we borrowed, under same oil windfall.
Now you want to blame the current administration for struggling to pay salaries with oil at $43. We should try to be objective. |

And Schweinsteiger is one. I know may be he could have done better in the lead up to the second goal, but the defenders also have to take some blame. I usually wonder why out midfielders and forward players don't go for direct tackles. They escort. Only Herrera goes straight for a tackle. |

adeyemi2015: I think LVG - DM argument should be halted or buried! Everyone is pained for losing out in the Champions League, but we shouldn't resort to thinking Moyes would have done better! He was given a chance at Real Sociedad, yet he's fired in the end! The problem with United started with Moyes. We lost our winning mentality and Old Trafford's fear factor under his reign! We were reduced to mid-table Team, and outclassed on many occasions by inferior Teams that would have been embarrassingly trashed under Sir Alex! LVG is certainly not helping, but slowly we are getting up! Gary Neville has tasted the Hot seat, thus he wouldn't dare to criticise or condemn LVG as Scholes and Ferdinand are doing! My submission is; LVG Should be paid off at the end of Session, and Woodward should do everything humanly possible to sign Pep or Ancelloti as plan B! We were already losing our fear factor under SAF in his last season. I am not for Moyes, but some facts need to be pointed out. Was it not at Old Trafford Everton came from 2-4 to draw 4-4? That was a must win match to guarantee our title that season even if we lost subsequently to City at Ethihad. Same season we lost to Bilbao 3-2 We lost to Blackburn 3-2 We drew Basel We drew Newcastle Lost to City 6-1 All at Old Trafford. 2012/13 Tottenham beat us at Old Trafford. City beat us at Old Trafford. Struggled to beat Newcastle, etc Before a team that came to United just come to surrender, then defend all through to see how to reduce goals to concede. Maximum of one game lost at Old Trafford in a season. From 2011/2012 teams started believing they could beat us at Old Trafford until Paul Scholes was recalled from retirement. Paul Scholes retirement also affected Moyes. Players like Scholes come once in a while . |

I guess it's Moyes also telling Gaal not to make corrections to our play during matches. Moyes told him to sell Di Maria and Nani because we bought De Pay. Moyes told him to bench Ashley Young and play rookies in a do or die final UCL group game at away. |

SailorXY: we dropped to an all time low the moment Moyes came on board. LvG was appointed to steady the ship & we know it is not a day's job. After the 5-3 defeat to Leicester, the conservative approach we all loathe came into play. If you have travelled on a sea before you can confirm that you never attempt to sail when your ship is rocking against unfriendly tides; or you capsize!
. It looks to me you are still blaming Gaal's inability to dominate games on Moyes. This is ridiculous considering these were the same excuses last season even when Gaal bought 6 new players including Di Maria, Falcao, Blind, Rojo, Herrera, Shaw. Gaal had January to correct any mistake. Then he had another summer this year. Remember this Gaal was hired before the end of 2013/2014 season. He had enough time to plan his recruit. Find another excuse for Gaal and remove Moyes from the matter. Gaal met all the players that played for Ferguson except Fabio. He already could see the areas to correct from Moyes mistakes, instead he went to the scratch to train the team on the Philosophy. Another manager would have just made adjustments here and there. |

It's always a long season in EPL. We are currently stuck with full backs who only are not struggling trying to cope with marking their man but also limited in going forward. No one to propel our forward wheels. I imagine we had Luke Shaw and Valencia fit running those lines for us. Schurle would have been eliminated. In fact Schurle would have been the one tracking Valencia trying to stop him starting an attack. Someone how too we are unlucky because even Shaw was in great form. UniqueGem: You getting things wrong. DM and LVG's transfer dealings ain't the same. Under Moyes. We needed to sign players. DM provided a list of players for woodward to sign but woodward was slow and lacklustre. On deadline day when all hopes of signing a player was lost, Moyes asked for Fellaini who has always been a last resort and woodward went on to sign him 2x the initial fee(its understandable, deadline day business). Under LVG LVG asked for Di Maria, woodward got Di Maria at a record fee(one of the top 5* best players as at then). After a season, LVG says he can no longer work with Di Maria and asked woodward to listen to offers. 45m pounds was accepted. 59-45=£14m lost on Di maria in a period of 1year. Isn't that half of fellaini's fee? Money wasted everywhere. Atleast Fellaini is still paying his dues. What I read was that Woodward was inexperienced in transfer matters, broking and negotiations when he first arrived. Again we thought we had a good team, except the midfield which was the major worry. |

The advantage EPL teams have over average clubs in other European leagues is the speed and high tempo at which EPL teams play. Gaal has killed that in our team. If he had recruited the right players with pace and power, tenacity and resilience, then match with a few technical players we would have won our very first game in PSV played in Holland. We should have done double on PSV and Wolfsburg.

If I told you I am angry and feel like exploding I won't be far from the truth.
Aside previous issues which I don't want to go into, it started towards the end of last month (November). I forwarded the soft copies of our salary schedule to the bank after the account department have gone to the bank with the cheque and hard copies for our November salary to be credited into our various accounts.
Over 24hours later, alert were not forth coming; of which payment due date was the same day the documents was sent to the bank. Our account officer was contacted and he said the bank was having network issues.
The next day, our accountant came to me and asked me to forward the soft copy to another receipiant saying the former receipiant was on leave. This I tried to do with the system but was unsuccessful due to bad network. Due to the urgency of the matter, I resorted to using my phone. I opened my sent folder and did the forwarding and it went on the first click.
I later left the office for breakfast. I was in the middle of it when my phones started buzzing. I was confused and alert on what could make 3different people be calling me at the same time. I decided to pick the most senior (position) persons own. He asked me to come to the office immediately that my immediate boss seeks my presence, this I oblige. I picked the next, she said same. I left my food for my colleague I went out with to bring it down to the office for me.
On getting to the office, I met the accountant at the entrance of my own office furious; she asked to know the month(salary) I forwarded to the bank. I don't understand I responded! Still furious, she told me I sent October instead of November. At this state I was confuse and was trying to confirm her assertion by checking my sent folder. She was still vibrating and saying all manners of things I can't remember. I kept her quite because I don't want to involve her in a show of shame and secondly she have a speech defect (stammerer). It got to a point her presence beside me and her noise became irritating. I shut her up; asking her to stop raising her voice on me and that I am not a kid. This actually worked because she kept quite and left for her office.
I was able to access my sent folder after countless refresh. Behold, it was actually October I sent . The head of management requested I print both October and November schedule for him. This I did. Maybe they went to the bank with it, I don't know.
A circular was released informing staff that a mistake was made in the schedule sent to the bank and will be rectified in December salary were credit or debit should be expected.
Minutes later, I was issued a query. Worthy of mention is that "I sent October salary schedule instead of November to the bank thereby causing embarrassment to staff and management and that I should explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against me for the serious mistake"
I replied thus "that I had diffulties using the system due to bad network and had to use my phone to forward the mail. Unknown to me that october schedule was the last item on the sent folder and I forwarded same without refreshing. And that I acknowledge my mistake and take responsibilities for the EMBARRASMENT my action has caused"
Just yesterday, the accountant called me asking if I have received a letter from my immediate boss, I told her no. She said OK and that I should expect one. And that I was being asked to pay for the over credit some staff got. She added that the head of management insisted on it even after she and my immediate boss kicked against it (washy).
Though am still expecting the letter, I was able to get access to my file and the comment reads "she take responsibilities for (as indicated in her last paragraph) so be it!
Hmmmmm, now, ladies and gentlemen, please analyse and tell me how to react upon receiving the letter.
Is their decision legal and morally right?
What action should I take.
Thanks for taking your time to read the long epistle. I await your comments and directions. Next time just apologise sincerely for your error and promise to guide against reoccurrence. .......
It looks like the salary schedule of October and November had the same ground total, otherwise I don't see how the bank would have been able to process it. The cheque must match with the total amount on salary schedule.

Lvg lost to swansea three times in a row, he lost to arsenal at old trafford in the fa cup, lost 3 0 to arsenal in the league(arsenal couldn't beat moyes), crashed out of capital one cup twice in quick succession. Spent united's money as he wished. He lost three straight matches last season against Chelsea, Everton and I think West Brom. Something we haven't seen in three decades. But Moyes and Gaal are guilty. They sent us back 30 years. We are practically back to pre-SAF era We need to reduce our injuries. Get two experienced squad players to join. If possible buy Vardy in January. We used to think John Oshea, Fletcher, Gibson were average players. But they did jobs for us on occasions like this. |

All the players that are injured are part of this problem. Why should they be injured at same time? Abi, na ISIS training dem dey give them?
Gaal maintained too lean a team. He said at the beginning of the season that based on the number of players he let go and the few that he brought in, he had the smallest squad in the league. Only 22 first team players. Now he can see his mistakes.
Same way people were shooting why is Carrick playing instead of Herrera. I said it's a long season, there will be matches to go round due to injuries. We have surplus matches now, no players to 'go round' the matches.
The team is not too bad what we need is more senior players to be fit or available. More players who can cover yards with pace and balance. |

I don't agree with Owen even 70% but he makes some sense.
MAN UTD TEAM WITH NANI & KAGAWA BETTER THAN THIS ONE!'
Former England striker Michael Owen was highly critical of Van Gaal's decisions, and claimed United are worse off now than before he begun his spending spree.
Michael Owen has slammed Louis van Gaal's movements in the transfer market, claiming Manchester United's squad is worse than it was 18 months ago despite an outlay of over £250million.
United crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday following a devastating 3-2 defeat away at Wolfsburg, combined with PSV Eindhoven's dramatic late win over CSKA Moscow.
Van Gaal's men dropped into the Europa League last 32, with former England striker Owen admitting to being unconvinced by the Dutchman's reign, claiming he has made some fundamental errors in the transfer market.
"I feel all that money that’s been invested, it’s a worse squad now than it was," he told BT Sport at full-time.
"We were looking at the players Van Gaal has let go in his reign, in the last 18 months, I'm sure the team we put together would beat the team tonight.
"Rafael, [Nemanja] Vid, Johnny Evans and [Patrice] Evra as a back four, [Tom] Cleverley, [Shinji] Kagawa, [Robin] Van Persie, Chicharito, Nani - we thought there were only two players from tonight’s team who would get into the eleven who he let go.
"Chris Smalling would probably get in, and Michael Carrick would probably get in. Apart from that, the players who he has let go are better than the ones he’s got tonight, even after all that investment.
Owen claims Van Gaal will come under intense scrutiny for his failure to advance past the group stage in Europe and has doubts over his tenure over the past year-and-a-half.
"Whether they can rely on Louis van Gaal to spend those millions [in the transfer market] is the question," he continued. "I don’t look at it and just think about tonight or just this season, I look at the 18 months or so that Van Gaal has been in charge.
"He’s spent more than £250m. They weren’t in Europe last season so he had all the focus on the Premier League and the cups. "They got stuffed by MK Dons 4-0, they got knocked out of the FA Cup by Arsenal, they scrambled into fourth place in the league.
"Then this season they’ve been knockout out of the League Cup by Middlesbrough and an easy group in the Champions League and they’re playing poorly, week in week out. It’s 18 months of below-par. "With all that money, it’s unexplainable. He’s under severe pressure now.

“Until now we haven’t seen the best of Schweinsteiger, the player I saw at Bayern Munich. I believe that in every match we have played he could have played better,” said Van Gaal. But Rummenigge has defended the Germany international and admits he is “disappointed” by Van Gaal’s assessment. "Bastian needs a bit of time. You can't already judge him," said Rummenigge. "I am a bit disappointed with Louis, he should leave Bastian alone. He wanted to sign him by all means. "Louis is not known as a Sympathikus [a pleasant person].” |
