Darkrebel666: You actually wrote as one who played football. This was same thing Gaal said, that the number of goals Falcao scored wont be the yardstick used in assessing him. On the attacking midfield you mentioned, Rooney delivered perfectly for us in that position this season- performance and productivity. He gave a virtuoso performance playing there at Emirate. |
coogar:What level are you referring to? Who makes this levels? coogar:So they said he was finished in early part of 2010/2011. From August to December 2010 Rooney scored only 2 goals (a worse record than whatever measure used this season). The whole world wrote him off, and I was one of the few who stood by him, same with Alex Ferguson. In the second half of the season, Rooney scored 14 goals including a goal in the UCL final vs Barca. The following season he went on to score 27 EPL goals and over 30 in all competitions. Van Persie went 10 matches without scoring any goal in 2012/2013 season. Droughts do happen. I see Rooney who is still very balanced on the ball and contributing very well. The goals will come next season if he doesn't get injured playing for England or preseason. |
parrotibaba:Becks had retired. He just went there to help them. Rooney is United top scorer for two seasons in a row now. Until someone comes and score more than Rooney in the number 9 and number 10. Till now, no player has been able to score more him in the number 10. |
But I wish Falcao all the best. It's painful even to me. I learnt he told Gaal that if given preseason he will get back a lot. Well life goes on. Log out. |
Coogar see you at night. Logging out. Continue your sleepless nights and hatred. You dey vex say Falcao don go and Rooney still dey. Should it be like that next season, which I am sure will happen, Coogar go commit suicide oohhh. Rooney will score 30 goals next season. |
coogar:Rooney will be here next season beating whoever is coming as the hired number 9. ![]() Go and die for your jelosi of 300k/week. |
parrotibaba:Rooney makes millions for Manchester United and has made money over the years for the club enough to pay the entire Club paroll for a decade . As of 2012 Rooney had the EPL record for most shirt sales. When you consider Becks sold over a million replica shirts u could imagine how much multiply by sales price. |
coogar:It seems you watch one match and jump into conclusion. Yesterday all our players couldn't control the ball. Di Maria, Young, Mata and Janujaz were the worst. I was wondering if they had commenced their holiday. Rooney has been head and shoulder above Falcao, RVP, Wilson in ball control and build up play in the number 9. This season. I know you are angry Rooney has outlived Falcao again. The Falcao you believed at this time last year will send Rooney to his grave even if were to play with injuries. every player out there has always been better than Rooney, now I guess it is Lewandosky. Should he come and go next season you will say Rooney should be dropped for Sturridge. oh I forget u aleady used sturridge and Sterling to rubbish Rooney last season. May be Balotelli. Oh that was in the past too. okay Harry Kane. |
parrotibaba:If Waza is entrusted with the top 9 duty he will score 25 goals. he has never failed from there when entrusted. We will be better creatively next season . Yesterday waza did not get any service in the box. d only one he got around d 25 yards he hit the cross bar even though marked |
coogar:Later in the day I will help u list van Persie matches he fired blank even though we were to accept your dubious stat. You will see the difference. RVP has twice number of matches you listed above. |
coogar is a fiction writer |
coogar:RVP also benefited from a penalty he knew nothing about. when it's Rooney it causes you sleepless nights. The point is Falcao left after penalty scored. You were trying to deceive us |
coogar:This is another lie from the pit of hell Falcao celebrated with Rooney after he converted the penalty. After which he was taken off two minutes after Rooney scored. Read the emphasis. Coogar do you even watch our matches? stats, opta and gif have affected your brain. |
elampiro:Anyone who doesn't know arithmetic can be pardoned. Yori Yori. |
coogar:Which kind true yeye be this. He has 6 Epl goals as a Centre forward. 6 in 14 epl matches. I listed them and you discounted the penalty in your hatred and wayo plus lies. in all he has 8 goals as a, cf in all competitions. if u like keep distorting the facts and truth. you can never take his wages or change his club legend status. bye. |
And look at the gif you brought, anything to rubbish Rooney. All these happen every day in football. Rooney gave Di Mara a nice assist at Emirate, he missed. Another one he would have scored himself or given to RVP was wrongly ruled offside. He gave Di Maria two more one vs one in other matches and he missed. RVP missed one too from Rooney fine set up. Again Spurs what would have been his second goal was wrongly ruled offside. I remember another match he was called back wrongly. So forget all your negative markings. Anything to rubbish Rooney. We need a striker but not the way you are saying it. Bye! |
coogar:They started together upfront as too strikers. I watched it and the report abounds in the net. Now you are even saying Rooney scored Within 10 minutes of moving to CF, if your report is to be followed how does this goal from number 10 even? You said he scored after going to number 9. If we were to tow your fake line it is only one goal you can remove from Rooney goals. hahahahaha |
ooney, 29, reverted to his more favoured role of playing in the striking position against Sunderland at the weekend. The decision by Van Gaal to play the Man United skipper in the most advanced role was a wise call against Sunderland, as the England international produced two goals to send the Black Cats packing. coogar:Rooney started from the beginning as a CF. zILLION REPORTS OUT THERE. countless reports. |
Mirror: ROONEY PLAYED AS A STRIKER. After Wayne Rooney's match-winning display, will Louis van Gaal still feel he's short in the striking department. Evidence from former seasons suggests that if Rooney was played consistently as a striker, he's reach 20 league goals by the end of the season. ....................................... BBC But the penalty incident gave United the chance to score and Rooney, playing in a forward role, made no mistake as he avoided going nine league games without scoring for the first time since joining from Everton in 2004. |
coogar:lies. we had this argument before. Rooney paired Falcao upfront, in striking position against Sunderland. coogar:Rooney has been better than RVP, Falcao, Wilson in the number 9 in the last eight weeks. |
coogar:This was what you said a year ago. ![]() Even early this season many of you called for Jones and Samlling to be sold. Evans, Vamelin and Rojo were supposed to do the job. (I be na Vaseline). Now Jones is benching Rojo on his favourite position- LCB. Jones weakest position amongs all positions he could play. ![]() |
coogar:It's even 6 EPL goals as a centre forward. 2 FA cu goals as a centre forward. Rooney has 8 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions as a centre forward. Man United 1 Swansea 2 1 goals Man United 4 QPR 1 1 goal. Man Utd 2 - 0 Sunderland 2 goals Man Utd 1 - 2 Arsenal 1 goal Man Utd 3 - 0 Tottenham goal 1 Man Utd 3 - 1 Aston Villa goal 1 FA Cup 1 GOAL VS PRESTON 1 GOAL VS ARSENAL coogar:Today was a bad day for everyone except on centre defenders and goalkeeper. Falcao and RV have failed far more than Rooney in the new system. Rooney is more composed on the ball far more than the two. |
Jones and Smalling had same playing time, but Jones is the one blamed for being too injured. Ukwu!!! |
coogar:That stat is wrong. I have just given you the games Rooney played as a lone striker. 5 goals in 12 games. Then as a centre forward, 6 goals in 14 games- plus the QPR and Southampton games. He also has assists there to complement. Even in many of these games, Rooney did not finish the matches as the CF. Again, Rooney played in the striking position when our midfield isolated the number 9. The other teams allowed United to do whatever they wanted with the ball in midfield as long as they wouldnt be allowed to find their free in the box. Our number 9 was caught between two centre backs all the time as teams parked the bus against us. This was why none of our strikers could score once we settled into our passing game. The number 9 is the victim of the system. |
And they will say Jones has no football brain. I dey laf. 1. Record: United did not lose any game they had Jones and Smalling as centra backs. 2. Jones beat Smalling this season on defensive key stats- Clearances, Interceptions and tackles. 3. clearances- Phil Jones came best in the team. 4. Interceptions: Phil Jones came second behind Blind. 5. Today Clearances: Phil Jones 15, Smalling 7. ..... whoscored names Jones MOTM. With whose brain does he do all these? It's better to ignore people sha. |
coogar:Lies. Man Utd 2 - 0 Sunderland 2 goals Newcastle 0 - 1 Man Utd Man Utd 1 - 2 Arsenal 1 goal Man Utd 3 - 0 Tottenham goal 1 Liverpool 1 - 2 Man Utd Man Utd 3 - 1 Aston Villa goal 1 Man Utd 4 - 2 Man City Chelsea 1 - 0 Man Utd Everton 3 - 0 Man Utd Man Utd 0 - 1 West Brom C Palace 1 - 2 Man Utd Hull 0 Man United 0 12 games 5 goals. This is much better than Van Persie who could only return 1 goal in at least 4 matches as a loan striker. All our players were shyte today except Jones, Smalling and may be Valdes with two great saves. I began to ask if they wanted to favour Hull or whether they did not train. I just dont want to be involved in all these arguments, but lies are bad. |
coogar:So you mean Fellaini should have played the number 9 instead? Rooney was also our hero because the number 9 is the victim of the system. He forced a goal against Newcastle when we started the run of wins. He scored against Tottenham and Villa. He was in the build up to one or two more goals in other matches. coogar:It doesnt matter. The most important part was our 6/6 win and 11 matches unbeaten run of last year which shot us from mid table to the top 3. Otherwise, we wouldnt have been able to recover again. coogar:How? Rooney was our best striker up to the QPR game when he scored one beautiful goal and assisted another beautifully. He was moved to the number 10 against Leicester and West Ham. He scored 1 and Assisted 2 in those two matches if I remember rightly before the red card. He returned to the number 10 and destroyed Arsenal there before Gaal begged him to go hep the team in the midfield. If only Rooney had known he would have rejected. ![]() |
sinizia:Some things are easy to say from hindsight or from the side. We have too many small players, and many layers who could be bullied out of the ball. Gaal was looking for a balance, someone who could keep the ball. Valencia was not even bad going forward, he opened a lot of spaces all by himself. Now we have qualified for the UCL, instead of thanking those who played a key role- Val played many matches for us- we are here wishing it was 'Nistelrooy' or Beckham who played our games. ![]() Luke did not always play contrary to what you said. Luke was on the bench in some matches. Luke wouldnt have had a chance if Carrick wasnt injured which paved way for Blind to vacate the left back. Dont you think Valencia playing in front of Rafael has also helped Rafael defensively in the past? You cannot also forget in a hurry that Valencia had more playing time in the right back than Rafael in at least one season under SAF. It's not that it's even his first time out there. I think it was 2010/2011 Val played the number 2 behind Nani for a long period(s) Rafael was injured. He also played in subsequent seasons. |
coogar:Which match did he play that Rooney did not play? When he and Rooney played in the midfield in front of Carrick in our 6/6 EPL win late last year, Rooney outshone him. Fellaini was even missing when Rooney led the team to destroy Liverpool 3-0. Best number 10 doesnt mean you cannot give way for another. Rooney was our best striker in the start of the season when Gaal pushed him into midfield for Falcao and RVP. Scholes gave way for Gerrald and Lamard in midfield. Football na sense. |
sinizia:I understand the sentiments bro. Our flying Rafael being benched by a converted player. I understand, sometimes e dey pain me too. But clearly, Valencia is the better right back now. He merited it 100%. |
