I don't support sending him on loan. Our players who go on loan don't appear to come back better, in fact we mostly sell them at the end. The average clubs they went on loan for a period turn them to unintelligent players.

Being on FIFPro doesn't give you an everlasting ticket to be carrying shoulder. You have to prove it consistently afterwards.

Kanu Nwankwo finished 6th on FIFA world best player award 1996 and never again reached that form that gave him that position. Same with Deco who finished 7th once and Kluivert who finished 9th. Although Deco came once or twice more around top 25.

Despite playing in a poor Manchester United team, DeGea has distinguished himself. When United had finished 5th or 6th in the league, DeGea was still voted as one of the top three in the world.

But the same cannot be said of Pogba. Lingard mostly outshone him last season.

Two seasons ago while Pogba and Herrera marshalled our midfield, Herrera won Manchester United player of the year. Last season DeGea won ahead of Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young.. Matic who partnered Pogba in the middle still came ahead of him. Lingard who was mostly used as number 10 was listed but no Pogba.

We also need to understand that when we talk about world class, we should place the player in context vis-a-vis his contemporaries who are still active.
How people look at Pogba and start comparing him with the likes of Scholes, Xavi and the likes who have since retired is beyond me. In term of his active contemporaries, Pogba is definitely world class.
If we go by what most folks are bringing up here, then we might have to start comparing Ramos with Maldini, Nesta etc to see how good he is...

I am not saying when you appear in PFA team of the year that your are automatically world class. But at least you can boast you were the best in your position that season. Aguero has won player of the month 5 times, Manchester City player of the year.

Currently, Pogba cannot boast of any individual award in the EPL.
