raumdeuter:This is an example of such a claim. There were some more from last year. It was not only Raumdeuter who had this opinion. |
eph12:This is not true at all. |
sleekdot:Griezmann was the first choice striker. There were solid links to midfielders throughout the summer. I can't remember names, I think there was Verratti. Lukaku and Pogba were back-up plans, that was why we went for them towards the end of the transfer window. Fellaini was a panic buy by Moyes. Mata was also a panic buy. Sanchez is the panic buy of Mourinho. |
sleekdot:When Tottenham changed their coach, they did not have to get a full season or additional players to start playing well and getting results. If you are among those who supported we had better players than Manchester City, your excuse now would not stand any test. Players better than Manchester City players do not need any strengthening for any coach to hit the ground running. Lukaku and Matic were surely not Mourinho's first choices. Bailly did not come in as an established CB. Only Pogba I can say was the top target Mourinho wanted and was bought for him. The rest were options down the ladder of scale of preference . |
hy are people now saying that nothing can be done without sacking many players and upgrading on them? Some said it will take time for the new coach to change the Mourinho mentality in the players. I don't understand. I thought the argument was that we have better than players than Manchester City. Una dey kill my morale |
neezar:It was clear Pogba would have left in January or caused a huge problem in the dressing room if no club bought him. We did absolutely well without Pogba against Arsenal and some matches even back to last season. However, it would have been disastrous to see Pogba go to another club to flourish while Mourinho's United still struggle. It would then mean the next manager will have no star player to start with. Mourinho not playing Pogba against Liverpool meant he wanted Pogba out, and the club cannot afford to lose Pogba now. |

Instead of Pogba to go, Mourinho should go. |
Mourinho no know ball again. I have exhausted the benefit of doubt I was giving him. The players start every match with the mentality not to concede. They don't work hard to tackle high up in the middle of the park when the opponent have possession. They jog lazily back to our own third and wait for the opponent to come at them with the ball, then before we know it there is a mistake. The hard tackling and force is left undone until we are cornered in our box. The players are now bereft of ideas and have become lazy. Starting Darmian and Dalot on same side was a huge mistake. I didnt know what Darmian brought into the game, and Dalot was completely lost. Matic had his worst game today. My thought was that Pogba should have come in at half time to help retain possession. I don't know where we are going with Fellaini as the joker. |
chrisley024:Fellaini substitution was wrong. We didnt we play Fred? Pogba would still have been better at that pint because there was no one holding possession for us. |
Tundexxy:What is his salary? |
weedtaker:How dem wan take beat us 4-1? |
Leyqute:Actually, Jones and Evans got us some of the best results in the beginning of 2011/2012. They played the ball forward faster too. 6 years on, Jones refused to mature. That is the problem. |
chidexxy007:How accurate is this stat? Has he really scored 5 own goals? Has he not scored a goal for his team in his career? |
Leyqute:Even if he plays 38 league matches he wont be able to replace Matic in the DM. Matic is slow but solid in ball retention which helps us to start planning comfortably. He is also a ball winner. Pereira looks more like an offensive player and he is not as good as the options we have there. |
Lana1:Sorry, I want to say when last did we get 18 points? I doubt if we got 18 points with Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez. |
Pogba missed an empty net inside six yard, to equalize. Always want to be stylish. Jones scored a useless own goal. Mata could have equalized 2-2 but couldn't make a simple touch. How the mighty have fallen. Lukaku, Pogba, now second eleven. In fact the major problem today was the slow movement of our players. They also did not press from the front. Ashley Young beautiful cross with his left foot for the Assist. I thought we should have kept Young, Rashford and Lingard for weekend since we were already down 0-2 |
Lana1:When last did we get 18 points? |
Leyqute:Pereira better than Matic? |
The changes gave the game to Arsenal completely. Lukaku was too heavy to press from the front. Pogba played like our investment on him is a mistake. Fellaini was just there. Yet we have Fred. |
Great game and hard work from Herrera, Rashford, Lingard, Martial. The whole team played well except Dalot. I have not seen this kind of high mobility from United for years. Some players are holding the team back with their big man football - Pogba and Lukaku. Then Fellaini for his slowness. The pressing from the front from Rashford, Lingard and Martial unsettled Arsenal and they kept making mistake trying to build from the back. We were in command in the opening minutes, controlling the ball with speed while they appeared to even park the bus. It was unfortunate we conceded. We should bring more fast players to the team. |
Well done President Buhari. With oil price falling from $110 to $78 in 2014, Okonjo-Iweala told Nigerians to brace up for hardship. By January 2015, the Federal Government was borrowing to pay salaries as stated by Okonjo-Iweala. 27 states owed varied arrears of salaries. However Buhari came, even with oil at $30 he bailed out salary arrears, paid pensions that have long he forgotten, etc etc etc |
TEAM NEWS: Manchester United are short of defensive options, as Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Marcus Rashford will all face late fitness tests after missing the Saints game with minor injuries. GloryIsaac:When we beat them, dem go con say their new coach no know work |
PietroRick:Hope it is not the 'visible improvement' that saw Liverpool changing managers but never winning the title. Always nearly, nearly from Rafa to Rogers to now |
I will like to see Jones stay fit for a long time so we can assess him. Also may be Bailly or Rojo. We have seen the best of Smalling and Lindelof, we should be able to compare at the end of the season to know our best two centre defenders. Last season, Eric and Jones started the season well, kept clean sheets and we were even at the top of the log in the very beginning weeks. If my memory serves me right. May be none of them being fit/in form at the beginning was bad for our team. The time of Luiz Van Gaal, there was a time we went through series of difficult fixtures with Jones and Rojo with ease, and another point Jones and Smalling. I particularly think we should keep faith with Eric Bailly because when he gains form he plays with so much confidence and inspire confidence from behind. He currently struggle with form and poor positioning problem, but I think he should continue playing to regain his form. |
PietroRick:Ok, I am watching. Let’s see how things unfold and if a new coach can bring instant success with these boys. |
Afolabi6046:And if we beat them? |
RuuDie:Wetin make them improve wey dem never score more than they used to score. Abi dem never beat top teams before? Na Arsenal top teams fear pass before. Na only United sabi beat them. |
Four40:Use Neo Medrol. It is like N1,200. Apply just a little quality morning and night after bath. Even if you don't see improvement in one week, don't worry. The drying up is taking place inside. After a while it will dry out, shrink and your skin will return to its normal. You can even continue using it as your after shave. NOTE: I don't advise you cut it with razor. Just apply the Neo Medrol |
kokaneprodigy:Compare Arsene Wenger 31 points after 14 matches two seasons ago. And he was second in the league. Where this new coach is, Wenger has been there and over, many times. Those United players you listed have no bearing with this argument. |
kokaneprodigy:If you are logical, you would know he was comparing Arsene Wenger with the current manager which I responded to. Nothing the current Manager has done, even with more settled players, than Wenger did not do. Arsenal are currently 4th after 14 matches. Last season they were 4th after 14 matches. Two seasons ago they were 2nd after 14 matches. Three seasons ago 4th after 14 matches. So where is the improvement with the new manager? I see none.
