Violating speed limit law in the US is $10 , Lagos wants to do now and it’s N50,000. You ask yourself if the essences is actually the safety of the people or to exploit them… This would mostly result in further crimes cos whoever exceeds that limit and doesn’t have the money, would try to find an escape route and that invariably becomes even more dangerous. |

This is just one of many instances of impunity under the sun in Nigeria. The government is only interested in the case because an immigration officer was involved and because of the possible money they could make from the fine. If the lives of your citizens do not matter to you, they won’t matter to a foreigner either. |

Civilization is really far from nogeria. And I tell you that the nonsense practiced here is not democracy.
What's not her business in criticizing Tinubu? Is she not a Nigerian? Is Tinubu immune from criticism. And what do you mean by "not openly"? Is he a military dictator? Don’t respond to fool; there are too many of them on Nairaland… you would just be wasting your precious time |

I wonder why is is so easy to fool Nigerians. Don’t you guys ask yourselves question?
The government tells you that 3 refineries are working in Nigeria and that they get crude from Nigeria yet the price of petroleum goes down whenever exchange rate goes down, and goes up if otherwise. Do you ever think the price was reduced? Never! It was only adjusted in line with the current exchange rate. If by tomorrow, the exchange rate goes back to 1650/$, the petroleum goes back to its 1k+ price… MRS, Dabgote et al. doesn’t give a Bleep about you. |

Honestly, some politicians deserve to be brought to public spaces and executed. This is exactly what would happen in 2027: you will begin to see some good things that would make you feel things are getting better and there is light at the end of the tunnel…. Then you vote again for your oppressors. Suddenly after election, your oppressors take away the seemingly ray of hope and increase hardship by 2000% and then you realize that there is even no tunnel anymore …. It goes on and on until “una mumu don do” |
