MrAAA2:
If you read the website very carefully, you will notice that Abuja is responsible for ONLY CONSULAR Services, everything except for Visa purposes.

Lagos is responsible for visas.
Okay smiley many thanks
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by elayomohammed(m): 9:12am On Feb 13, 2023
Hello everyone, greetings. I live in Karu LGA, Nasarawa State. Recently I booked an appointment for Visa application. Two days later I got this email from the embassy.

”Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email. Please be informed that the German Consulate General in Lagos is responsible for all visa applications for study purposes.

You can find all information on the application process on our website: https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/service/visa/student-research-and-language-course-visa/1015536.

Yours sincerely,”

Meanwhile from the embassy's website, it states clearly that I can apply through the embassy in Abuja.

Tentatively, does this mean that I must have to apply through the consolate in Lagos?

CooKeed:
Your uni in Nigeria should have that. It's usually in the Faculty handbook that you receive upon matriculation. Many schools also have it as pdf on their website. So check your uni's website. It contains details of the grading system and description of the courses.
Alright, thanks for the heads-up, I will visit the website and find it there.

MrAAA2:
Contact your university's registrar office/exams and records to provide this explanation.

It informs how your grades were calculated E.g.
A=70-100
B= 60-69
C = 50-59
.
.
.

Then explains the CGPA system
Maximum point =5
Minimum point 1.0

Graduating class classification
4.5-5.0 First class
<1.00 Fail

This information is also on your University handbook and ONLY provide the information handbook as at when you were admitted and/or graduated.

In many universities e.g OAU and UNIBEN, this information is present on the back of the transcript.

If you graduated from DELSU, I may be able to help fast track it.
Thanks for the explanation smiley
So tentatively I will have to request this from my University, for my mind I'm done and dusted with any request to that school.

No sor, I did not graduate from DELSU.

Hello everyone, greetings smiley
Can anyone please point me to where I can get a presentable document Explaining the Grading System in Nigerian universities? I applied for admission at HTW Berlin, during the application I attach a simple explanation of our grading system but I received a mail from the school with the title 'missing documents' and I'm asked to reply with an 'Explanation of the Grading System'. I need urgent assistance please!

MrAAA2:
After its authenticated at MOE, certified (stamped) by the MOFA, the charges are per copy per page.

That way, it can be used anywhere.
Many thanks smiley
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by elayomohammed(m): 12:32pm On Jan 06, 2023
MrAAA2:
In Abuja, just go to MOE and MOFA.
Okay, thanks a lot. Your response sounds like I have to tentatively visit both ministries.
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by elayomohammed(m): 11:59am On Jan 06, 2023
MrAAA2:
You said you have been searching for this information. What have you come up with?

I also gave you some tips. What have you done by yourself?
I'll recommend you do it with high court, MOE and/or MOFA. perhaps you could use that anywhere else too.

Good luck.
This is what I found out from the embassy's website. However the entire procedure listed there looks very cumbersome. If approaching high court, MOE or MOFA will settle this then I'm taking one of those route.
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by elayomohammed(m): 9:19pm On Jan 05, 2023
MrAAA2:
Where have you searched?

Who have you searched with?

The High Court, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the respective embassy are the places you should go.
Okay smiley
So if I want to approach the German embassy for this, do I need to book an appointment? + If I'm in Abuja axis, can this be done within the span of 48 hours?
TravelRe: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by elayomohammed(m): 12:27pm On Jan 05, 2023
Good day everyone, I have been searching for a way to go about my documents authorization with the German Authorities, this is because I want to apply for admission and I understand that my documents need to be verified. Please I need guidance and contact information on how to go about this, thanks smiley

At the end of the day, this is Peter Obi's sad reality.

They can make noise, and walk up and down Onitsha with their fake and imaginary 2 million-man march rally..

How do you win anything when your own fractured base of support has the lowest registered voters in Nigeria?

Very sad.
These folks! You people think Nigerians are stupid right? You keep playing deceptive games and you think Nigerians do not grasp all your intentions? I wonder why any patriotic countryman will support the idea of somebody who have been accused of being a drug kingpin to rule the country, with a running mate that is also accused of having deep hands in creating and funding terrorism.

Informed citizens that mean well for the nation are strongly Obidient and they cut across the country and beyond.

You should also know this: Its a fact, everyone including primary school children knows that SE has the lowest population count in the country. Thus why the region has a lower registered voters count.

Wishing best of luck to you guys going for the interview starting on 23rd. Don't forget to share your interview experience. Subsequently as the interview is going on, what you shared will benefit others. And it will go along way. What I realized from the previous years trend on nairaland platform regarding PTDF OSS is that post-interview experience aren't so much shared. Let's change the style this year.
Although some of the scholars are doing a great job to keep the thread informed, its true that that post interview experience isn't shared. I hope it will be different this time around.
BusinessRe: How FBI Warned FG, CBN On Scammers Using Cryptocurrencies To Defraud The West by elayomohammed(m): 2:01pm On Feb 08, 2021
joey150:
Truth be told, cryptocurrency, with its "anonymity', have given several unscrupulous scamming elements the propensity to scam unabated and without fear.

Having an unregulated and largely anonymous global currency might sound cool, but when you think of all the harm that 10% of the world population can and will do with it, it would greatly outnumber the benefits for the other 90%.

I know yahoo boys that have made a killing through scamming people, getting the funds converted into crypto and using one of the multiple exchanges here to withdraw their funds. A regular banking system would leave a paper trail that's easy to follow. Blockchain can be traced, but it's a very complex process that can be made even harder for those that can get around it.

We know some people are genuine crypto traders and have positive use for crypto. But the fear is, in a country like Nigeria, scammers will do the worst with it.

The government should rightfully be worried that millions of dollars that they cannot regulate, trace or control, is being syphoned in and out of this country via cryptocurrency.

Point of correction, cryptocurrency wasn't banned. The government cannot ban cryptocurrency because it's a digital currency. The government has only told exchanges that we cannot continue to allow you to exchange and covert naira to a digital coin that we have no direct control over.

It's a controversial decision, but given that politicians can launder money with it in seconds, yahoo boys can dupe with it in minutes and kidnappers can demand untraceable ransoms, you'll see why this extreme step may have been taken.

If your first response to this is afterall the politicians are already stealing, then you should seriously question your education. If one man gets away with murder, must we then use the excuse to pardon all murderers?
So much sense ehh!

I think is better to input nothing in the certificate number instead of inputting your matriculation number since it's the certificate number they required. I have only my statement of result which doesn't have a number whatsoever. But I plan to leave that column blank. Do anyone have a better idea or any information on how we can fix that.
Sigh!
