Friday Reflection: The Liberation of Palestine is Back on Track

During the 2006 war the Lebanese Resistance #Hezbollah fired 4,000 Rockets to the Israeli entity in 33 days. In just 4 days the Palestinian Resistance has fired almost 2,000 Rockets. This shows you the devastation that the Israeli savages are facing. Airports closed, power plants bombed and even their Iron Domes anti-missile systems attacked and destroyed.

The threats of land invasion of Gaza is empty and a bluff. With the improved military capability of the Palestinian Resistance, thanks to General Qassem Sulaimani, they will not dare it. It will be suicidal to invade Gaza now.

The present generation of Israelis do not have the liver of their post-war ancestors. Their post-war ancestors suffered unimaginable atrocities in the hands of the Western barbarians. Millions of them slaughtered, all their women and girls became sex slaves of the Western barbarians. They fought for survival. The present generation of Israeli soldiers all wear pampers. They always wet their pampers out of fear because they are desperate to live.

It was not Hamas that requested for ceasefire, the Israeli regime made that request via Egypt. The Palestinian presented strong terms. The image of the Turkish President Erdogan is significantly dented among Sunnis. The wannabe Caliph of Constantinople has unmasked his real face due to inaction on the barbaric attacks on Gaza. Erdogan Turkey could not even expel the Israeli ambassador as a strong message of protest.

The Saudi Wahhabi regime is silent because Israeli humiliation is the humiliation of the Saudi regime. They are both creations of the Genocidal imperialist barbarians of the West. Trump's fraudulent "Deal of the century" is effectively and efficiently killed with the unprecedented Gaza Resistance. Commander Muhammad Deife is a great champion. The most gladden news of this crisis is that the Resistance in Gaza has access to drone technology. We did not see swarm of drone attacks because it takes time to manufacture plenty. I have differences with the former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode @realFFK, on the racist Israeli regime but his exceptionally brilliant analysis in the program "State of the Nation" on Roots TV brought me to tears.

That 8 minutes video is a masterpiece that all Nigerians and by extension Africans MUST listen to. FFK was insanely accurate on analysing the Nigerian situation. *TY Danjuma And Nigeria’s Present And Future (1), by Hassan Gimba*

Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, former Chief of Army Staff, former minister of defence, better known as TY Danjuma or TY for short, is not an unknown face to Nigerians. Though some see him as controversial, others see him as a blunt man, a man who does not mince words, a man who does not pull punches, a man who suffers no fools. He is one among a very rare crop of Nigerian leaders on whom everyone has an opinion. Never colourless for people to be neutral where they stand with him. It is either you are for him or you are not.

However, whatever one’s views of TY, what cannot be denied him is his patriotism and nationalism. TY fought to keep Nigeria one. He also leaves no one in doubt that he will do so again. And again. He believes in one Nigeria and all his adult life he has worked to protect the country’s sovereignty, working for its greatness all the time.

To be honest, there is nothing that has not been written or said about him just as there is no recognition that he has not gotten or honour not conferred on him. As of now, he is about the most decorated Nigerian alive. His accolades have not been chiefly down to his fabulous wealth. No, not at all. After all, there are scores of Nigerians who are richer than him, yet they have not been half as recognised.

For instance, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2003 organised a special convocation to confer on him an Honourary Doctor of Science. The university’s visitor, then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, described him as his “hero and mentor”, saying he was “one of the most illustrious sons of our nation”.

For the former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, who chaired the occasion, no single Nigerian has contributed to the development of education in the country more than TY. The chancellor of the university, the Sultan of Sokoto, HRH Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, in his remarks eulogised the award recipient as “a detribalised Nigerian who has transformed the lives of a significant number of people in the society.”

But Nigeria is now in perilous times that it needs the voice of people like TY Danjuma. Oh, his voice rankles those who do not want the truth, for sure. People blinded by sentiment never accept the truth from blunt, say-it-as-it-is patriots. In 2018, there was an outcry from mostly northern Muslims over his call on people to “rise and defend themselves against killers”. He made the call on March 24 that year, at the maiden convocation ceremony of Taraba State University in Jalingo, the state capital.

On April 2, in a write-up titled 2019 Election Timetable, TY Danjuma and Other Matters, I wrote: “This brings me to General T.Y. Danjuma and his call on people to defend themselves. Unfortunate as it is, especially coming from a personality no less than him, we should look deeply and dispassionately at the comments and situate them within the context of Nigeria’s current state.

“We also, side by side, have to keep in mind that it was Danjuma, once described by President Muhammadu Buhari as a soldier’s soldier, who, at the risk of his life or career, or both, led a northern revolt against General Aguyi Ironsi. Then the North believed, rightly or wrongly, that he was complicit in the killing of its leaders in the January 1966 coup. But then, the North had not been balkanised by its leaders into Muslim, Christian, Hausa-Fulani and the rest as it has now been by this crop of opportunistic, parasitic, self-serving, thieving and greedy so-called leaders.

“He fought to keep Nigeria one. He and the late General Shehu Musa Yar’adua were also there breathing down Obasanjo’s neck to keep faith with the 1979 return to democratic governance. And it was to a Northern Fulani Muslim the baton of governance was handed.

“In both major situations, Danjuma played pivotal roles for the North. He could have scuttled the 1979 hand over, but he didn’t. In all these cases he saw himself as a Nigerian and a Northerner. He is also believed to be one of Buhari’s staunchest financial and moral supporters throughout his various presidential candidacies when latter-day Buharists, who see nothing wrong in him now, were political foot soldiers elsewhere.

“Danjuma contributed at least $10m in 2014 for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Boko Haram-ravaged North East and is still contributing hugely to that cause through the Presidential Committee on the North-East Initiative (PCNI) while those now desperate to label him ‘barawo’ and their paymasters cannot be counted among those who have helped their suffering brothers in the North East in any material way, save, perhaps, in releasing insurgents in the name of “deradicalisation”.

“Yet, his comment is akin to giving up so late in his life of service to fatherland. So, what has happened to Nigeria now to warrant him losing faith in it – just like that? The Nigeria he fought for and served for almost all his life? This is what we must ask ourselves and answer dispassionately.

“Since the appearance of Boko Haram in the North East some ten years ago, I ask if there is anyone that, even if once, in the deepest recesses of his mind, has not thought of taking measures for self-defence? Why did we not fault Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi of Kano when he made the call on people to defend themselves? Was there no time that (some) Northern Muslim elders accused President Goodluck Jonathan of collaborating with the army to kill Northerners and reduce their voting population?

“Right now across our country, are people not feeling a heightened need to arm themselves for self-defence against armed robbers, kidnappers and bandits? That people had not done so is because they knew it was against the laws of the land but not because they believed they were secure enough. But people are frustrated and many would not dare to voice their frustrations publicly.

The Emir of Anka, in Zamfara State, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad, in tears, just called on the United Nations and the African Union to come to the aid of his people who are being killed like chickens almost daily. Yet Nigeria is a sovereign state.

“Let there be the rule of law and respect for human life. Government and its officials must abide by the laws. No one should be allowed to be above the law. People should not see government as vengeful or regarding courts and their judgments with disdain. People become law abiding when they see their government and its agents abiding by the laws of the land.

A lot of wrongs have been done. A lot is being done, yet there is no justice for victims, neither are culprits seen to be punished as the law stipulates. We have not addressed a lot of extra-judicial killings and plain murders. We always move on as if we are a country of people with short memories.

“Let there be justice in the land. Let a criminal know he can’t kill, maim and abduct and go scot-free. Let those who should secure the citizens and those who should dispense justice know that they can’t be lax or collude with undesirable elements and go free or remain in their duty posts. Let a victim know that the state will always give him justice fast and in full measure.

“When the above is obtainable in society, definitely people like Citizen Danjuma won’t be making such comments. And if he does, no one will take him seriously.”

Someone who calls on people to defend themselves will know how to advise the government to protect the citizenry. Again, someone who has done more than anyone in the promotion of education will know how to resuscitate the education sector.

It is not while in service but in retirement that you know who is great and who shouldn’t be taken too seriously. He who lives a life of service to humanity in retirement should be the one to be trusted with the welfare of the people. And this is the life of TY Danjuma since retiring from active service in 1979.

Even though on a smaller scale and spread, being a non-governmental organisation, we can see that the TY Danjuma Foundation, established in 2009, has virtually taken over from where the Petroleum Trust Fund stopped.

Now that Boko Haram and its cousins – bandits, kidnappers and killer herdsmen – have shut down schools, making parents feel it is safer to keep their children at home than send them to school, Nigeria needs more of TY Danjuma as we will subsequently come to see.

In a shameless and mischievous statement released by the spokesperson of the FCT Command of the Nigerian Police Force, ASP Mariam Yusuf late Friday, she funnily alleged that one ASP Ezekiel Adama of the same command was stabbed to death by members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria who were observing the annual International Quds day in Abuja. The harebrained scribe of the Police in her desperation to paint black a Movement that has been peaceful for more than four decades of its existence forgot that freedom of association, movement, thought and worship are enshrined in the Nigerian constitution.

In about 30 Nigerian towns and cities this culture of expressing solidarity to the oppressed people of Palestine, otherwise known as the Quds day was marked peacefully. It ended peacefully in all these areas and this brings us the question of why the Abuja edition was attacked by the cops that lack the technical know-how to track bandits or even put a stop to what they describe as banditry in the country at a time when Nigeria dearly craves for such.

The mission of the statement that Mariam shared with the press if the Force read all the reactions from netizens would come to understand that it is dead on arrival as many Nigerians rebuked the police for attacking these peaceful protesters that over the years have remained unprovoked despite series of premeditated bushwhacks.

Similarly, some Nigerians have questioned the rationale behind trying to ‘disperse’ a peaceful gathering that poses no security threat to anyone as Palestinian flags, banners with inscriptions of solidarity with the oppressed people and pro-Palestinian slogans being chanted were all that was characterized by the peaceful protest before Police brutal intervention turned it into a violent one.

On the other hand, comments from some newsreaders bombarded the Nigerian government and its Police for not channelling the same energy in handling with groups that have denied the country especially the Northern part peace for years.

Besides, Mariam and her paymasters can only pretend not to know that in April alone, the Nigerian Police attacked FreeZakzaky protesters at Banex Plaza Abuja on 14th where five people sustained gun injuries which subsequently led to the martyrdom of Hassan Abubakar Aliyu (Hassan Garba). On 16th men of Force shot three FreeZakzaky protesters in Kaduna, barely two days after. Again on the 19th of last month, the Police fired live bullets on the Abuja protesters along Sky Memorial in Wuse area of the capital city.

Surprisingly, Mariam failed to justify the previous attacks in her statement, all of which have been documented and reported by all news mediums.

No matter whose job, Mariam Yusuf, FCT Commissioner of Police Bala Ciroma and the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba are out to achieve by attacking the peaceful disciples of Sheikh Zakzaky and other people of conscience that were out to protest the continued Israeli occupation of Palestine and issuing fictitious statements, it will not erase the fact that the members of the Islamic Movement are the most peaceful and organized religious group in Nigeria.

International #QudsDay2021

After the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the Great #Khomeini designated the last Friday of the Fasting Month of Ramadan as "International Quds (Jerusalem) Day".

This is a Day earmarked to remember the biggest injustice of the last 100 years. A whole country was stolen by the Western hegemonic savages and given to the racist Apartheid Zionist barbarians.

Today as I write more than 5 million Palestinian Muslims and Christians are in refugees camp around the world. More than 4 million Palestinians are in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and more than 2 million are imprisoned in besieged Gaza Strip.

The sad reality is that the overwhelming majority of Arab leaders had betrayed the Oppressed Palestinians by selling the Palestinian cause to the Genocidal imperialist barbarians of the West. The besieged Gaza Strip is not only blockaded by the Israeli regime occupying Palestine but is also blockaded by Arab Egypt.

This year's campaign for the International QudsDay started with the Fly The Flag challenge where Activists from around the world Fly the Palestinian Flag to express open solidarity with the Oppressed people of Palestine.

The Coronavirus pandemic is taken a heavy toll on humanity. Thousands of people are presently dying in India. As like last year, physical protest of the International QudsDay will be restricted in most countries. What is important is to show solidarity with the Oppressed Palestinians.

The International QudsDay is a Day for all the world Oppressed. On this Day we should also remember the biggest supporter of Palestine on the African continent, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. During the 2014 International QudsDay rally in Zaria, the Nigerian army killed 33 members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria that included three (3) biological children of Sheikh Zakzaky. He personally buried them like the freedom fighter that he is. Despite this great loss, the Western hegemonic barbarians orchestrated a genocidal massacre of more than one thousand of his Followers that again included his three (3) biological children in December, 2015. He is still in the illegal and unlawful detention since then.

We should also remember the Oppressed people of Yemen. Six years ago the savage Saudi Wahhabi regime with total support of the Western hegemonic barbarians launched a genocidal aggression against Yemen. More than 10,000 civilians have been Killed by the daily Saudi bombings. Homes, schools, hospitals, mosques, basic infrastructures and historical sites were bombed and destroyed.

We should also remember the Oppressed people of Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. These countries are under the occupation of the genocidal American terrorist troops that are there only to facilitate murderous Wahhabi terrorism. The Oppressed Muslims of Burma should not be forgotten.

We should remember the suffering people of Nigeria. Nigeria today is the capital of violent deaths in the world. The country is besieged by bloodthirsty BokoHaram terrorists, murderous armed bandits and a Terrorism-enabled regime. The Buhari regime that perpetrated genocide in Zaria in December, 2015, is a Terrorist Organization. The minister of communication, Isa Pantami, is a self-confessed Al-Qaeda terrorist. The Buhari regime has freed thousands of BokoHaram terrorists using the fraudulent pretext of "Repentance".

On a final note, the Palestinian cause is all about humanity. Be human first and raise the Palestinian Flag.

I think it is high time that Nigerians talk about these Lebanese and Chinese companies running a modern slavery in Nigeria.

Viju milk company is a Chinese company in Ogun syate, their staff work 7am-7pm everyday and get 18k at the end of the month. Please, if this is not modern slavery then what is it?

The Lebanese and Chinese investors in Nigeria exploit the massive unemployment in Nigeria to under pay those they employed in their companies despite the extra-long working hours.

These Lebanese and Chinese investors will not dare do this in their own country. They come into our country and publicly enslave our people and because we have useless Government in place no opposition.

*Another false flag operation in our name uncovered*

It seems the devilish plot by Buhari regime to annihilate the Islamic Movement in Nigeria which was kick-started during Zaria massacre carried out by the Nigerian Army in December, 2015 is still being pursued. This time around, the regime is bent on using the false flag terror operation system to tarnish the image of the Islamic Movement.

It has become absolutely necessary to state in unequivocal terms once again that use of terror tactics is simply not our modus operandi, and has never been, as evidenced by our incessant peaceful campaigns, even in the face of state provocations in the last five years. This is not about to change. It is therefore a mark of government's desperation to now spread some sinister leaflets through a faceless group, claiming to be part of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and fighting for the release of our illegally incarcerated leader, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.

This faceless group plans to use our yearly Quds day peaceful processions as spring board for their nefarious activities.

Hence, we find it necessary to reiterate our earlier stand that Sheikh Zakzaky in his over forty years sojourn as the leader of the Islamic Movement has never considered terror as a means of achieving the aims and goals of the Islamic Movement. He believes in using peaceful means and practices same in all his religious activities. Our upcoming Quds day rallies and processions coming up on Friday 07/05/2021 is a global event to be observed in several cities, and it has never been a day of using violence to make the public understand the persecution and apartheid system practiced by the Zionists regime in Israel on Palestine.

Let’s not forget that this isn't the first time that the government would be attempting to use false flag operations in an attempt at falsely and unjustifiably linking the Movement to terrorism. In the aftermath of Zaria massacre the Army and its paid clerics trumpeted that “the Islamic Movement is worse than Boko Haram” in order to justify the massacre. However, the public hasn’t swallowed such shallow propaganda, such that even the USA believes our leader Sheikh Zakzaky is a political prisoner and the Islamic Movement is a victim of persecution by Buhari regime. So you can count us out of any diabolic and gruesome terror attack that agents of government may carry out in our name.
They are still trying to bury their crimes against humanity under the carpet having failed woefully to frame the Movement in various court actions.

Finally, for five years, this government has refused to hearken to the voice of reason to release our leader Sheikh Zakzaky, his wife and others in detention since December, 2015. Hence we urge well-meaning Nigerians and the international community to come out clearly in demanding for the freedom of our leader.
