PoliticsPresident Buhari's Cronies Are Looting The Economy, Nigerians Are Hungry by Elbinawi(op): 3:33pm On Oct 04, 2017
Most supporters of President @MBuhari in the North are poor that can not afford one meal in a day but Buhari's crony is stealing $25 billion.

When another Buhari's crony, notorious Grass Cutter, looted millions of Naira for the IDPs of #BokoHaram terrorism, Nigerians only hear "silence".

Nobody is asking what the Custom Boss is looting on behalf of President Buhari. Buhari is a deceptive fraudster & a shameless hypocrite.

The ignorant Buhari's supporters in Northern Nigeria should enjoy hunger, poverty & impoverishness while Buhari & cronies enjoy their loots

Political Repression Among Northerners

By Dr. Aliyu U. Tilde

Populist governments throughout history are the most intolerant, brutal and repressive. Remember the communist regimes before in Eastern Europe, Russia, China and even Venezuela today. They are constructed on a raison d'être of self a self-acclaimed virtue in defense of the masses. This false premise give them the feel of a divine mission which mandates them to crush any opposition. Speaking against them becomes taboo, and criticizing them an open invitation to unending reproach. Dictatorship sets in and deaths follow.

I'm beginning to see Obasanjo and Jonathan as very tolerant leaders who have allowed freedom of expression to blossom in this country. You can accuse them of discrimination but you cannot accuse them of repression. We wrote hundreds of newspaper articles against them or some policies of their governments but I, for one, was never harassed or arrested by any of their agent. However, when I wrote, Yuguda Revolution in 2007 in which I advised the newly elected governor against making some mistakes that would undermine his government, I was lucky to survive three assassination attempts. A northern tyrant has arrived!

We northerners should guard against repressive gene. Our leaders so far have a very bad outing with regards to freedom of expression and tolerance to opposition. Another example:

During the tenure of late President Yaradua, some Northerners had to go on exile. Examples are Nuhu Ribadu, Nasir El-Rufa'i and Ahmed Muazu for simply opposing his candidature initially. They believed he was not healthy enough to lead the country. One of them was reported to have privately said, za a bai wa gawa mulki, though he later denied it. It could be the normal back stabbing among northern politicians.

The case of Ribadu with the late Yar'adua needs special mention. Ribadu in particular survived an assassination attempt along Akwanga-Abuja road. God came to his aid on another occasion. Not happy with the failure of the previous attempt, another was planned but it failed right into the ears of his former employee, who leaked it to him immediately. Having realized that leak, the plan was abandoned. He left the country immediately.

Before then, the Yaradua administration condescended to the ebb of demoting and shamefully expelling him, along with his family members, out of the convocation hall at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos in 2009.

Is it not shameful that Jonathan could guarantee their security and tolerate their criticisms of his administration when their Hausa-Fulani brother Yar'adua could not tolerate what was a hearsay from them?

Have Obasanjo and Jonathan done this to any Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa-Fulani opponent of theirs? The truth: If Jonathan were this repressive some northerners would have been taken to The Hague over fueling the 2011 election crisis.

Today, APC administrations and supporters of the President are setting a new record of intolerance. For example, I am writing this comment in response to a post on the 6 weeks incarceration of Ibrahim Bature on the pretext that he criticized Masari's administration over a loan, though the chap had earlier pulled down the post and apologized. There have been a number of such arrests of recent in different states, most of them belonging to the ruling APC. During the last tenure, it was not a southerner that called the people who opposed him "cockroaches" and demanded that they be killed. It was Shema, a Northerner, again from Katsina.

What ingredient is there in our composition as Northerners that give many of us the penchant for repression and disrespect for fundamental human rights of our own people. I would understand an Obasanjo, Jonathan, Ihejerika or Minima killing hundreds of Shiites in Zaria and I would easily label them as Christian crusaders or southerners. But what can I describe the cold blooded massacre of Shiites executed with the approval or defense of a Buhari, Nasiru and Burutai? Do we have a self-annihilation gene in our DNA or perhaps it is a trait ingrained from our long history of slavery and feudal orientation?

It is not the leaders alone. Northern citizens are increasingly becoming hostile to opposing views from fellow northerners. Just yesterday on Facebook, I had to show a chap how wrong he was to attack "Mahmud Tukur" and "Junaidu Muhammad" for simply saying that the agricultural policy of this administration is not working. The chap did not even know their names well. First he confused Tukur with Junaid. Even when he later edited the post to read Junaid, he named him Mahmud Junaid. Why insult people when you cannot even have the discipline to know their correct names? He did not even have the courtesy of quoting what Junaid said. Criticizing this government he said is a red line that "they" will not tolerate who crosses it and they will resist it to the best of their ability: bakin rai bakin fama, he said. It is simply because he and his type feel that it is a divine duty to defend this administration, no matter its flaws.

And this culture of intolerance is not limited to politics; it is actively practiced in religion. Today, we have sects that have assigned themselves the duty of judging others with the simple yardstick of exclusion: if you don't belong to us, you are a non-believer. Every slight difference in opinion is an avenue for condemning the other. Haba. Give us a break.

I think we will do Northern Nigeria a lot of good if we learn to tolerate different views in politics, religion and life generally. Let twenty northerners contest for the presidency in 2019, for example. Wallabies heaven will not fall. It is not anyone's business to condemn them for choosing to exercise their fundamental right. Disagree with them by withholding your support, if you wish, but respect their right of choice. Campaign for your candidate and allow others to campaign for theirs. Hold any opinion in whatever it is - including religion - and allow others to hold theirs.

I call on people with such tyrannical minds to open their eyes and see that we are not yesterday's primitive society of slaves and masters. We are in a modern, free world. We are not a kingdom where opposing the king is a crime but a democracy that assures every citizen the freedom of speech and other fundamental rights.

We the citizens must not be afraid to exercise these rights as we deem fit so long as we do not violate the rights of other citizens. Speak your mind within the purview of the law whenever you have the chance in a clear and civil language. Do not allow anybody to shut you up. That is the beauty of living in this age. Anybody that is not ready to respect our freedom has no place in our society today. He can best burry himself alive to live with our ancestors in the grave.

As for our leaders, they must understand that their present offices are temporary. They will soon vacate them for others to occupy. After the expiration of their tenures, they will be ashamed to realize that they are not the demigods that they wanted their citizens to worship. The acts of repression they commit today will be narrated tomorrow when they are long gone. I advise Masari to release Bature immediately.

Tomorrow, we will all end up in a level place where only a blanket rule applies and the choice is ours now:

"whoever does good, it is up to him; and who does wrong is up him. Your Lord does not cheat his servants":

من عمل صالحا فلنفسه ومن اساء فعليها وما ربك بِظَلاَّم للعبيد.

Why is Buhari's Govt Laying About the Illegal Detention of sheikh Zakzaky?

The Nigerian Govt told a Federal High Court, Abuja, that they are holding Sheikh #Zakzaky in illegal detention for "Protective custody".

Today the Nigerian Minister of Information, Lia Mohammed, told @bbchausa that they are holding Sheikh Zakzaky for "security reasons".

If I may ask President @MBuhari "Was it for security reasons that he sent Soldiers to the residence of Sheikh Zakzaky and brutally murdered his 3 children?

Was it for "security reasons" that President @MBuhari sent Soldiers to brutally slaughtered 1000+ Shia civilians in Zaria? @IntlCrimCourt

Was it for "security reasons" that President @MBuhari ordered Soldiers to dumped the dead bodies of the 1000+ Shiites they murdered in mass graves?

Effects of #ZariaMassacre

Before #ZariaMassacre by the bloodthirsty tyrant Buhari most Nigerians do not know much about Shia Islam, Sheikh Zakzaky & #IMN.

Those Nigerians especially from the South who had negative opinion of Sheikh Zakzaky & IMN in the past had changed that after #ZariaMassacre.

Lot of people thought #IMN will go violent after #ZariaMassacre but that never happened. IMN show positivity, civilized in behavior & conduct.

#IMN by character & conduct effectively defeated all the Saudi-sponsored campaigns of calumny and demonization against it by Buhari gang.

Buhari's gang of mass murderers uses state apparatus to strangulate #IMN & portray it as "terrorist". Today Nigerians saw through this lie.

Before #ZariaMassacre less than 20 cities & towns used to stage #Ashura processions but yesterday more than 60 towns staged the procession.

Through out history the sacred blood of the Martyrs irrigate the tree of a cause. Buhari thought massacre will destroy #IMN & Shia in Nigeria.

One day the murderous criminals @MBuhari @elrufai Buratai, @skusman etc who executed Zaria genocide will have no where to hide from justice.

These murderous criminals (Buhari, Elrufai, Buratai etc) brutally murdered 1000+ children, women & men in Zaria in Dec 2015. @IntlCrimCourt

PoliticsSuccessful And Peaceful Completion Of Ashura Processions Has Put To Shame Govt by Elbinawi(op): 10:40am On Oct 02, 2017
Successful and peaceful completion of Ashura processions has put to shame Nigerian government.

This year’s Ashura procession is unique in many ways than one. The most obvious of course is that the successful and peaceful completion of the procession in all the places it was carried out in Nigeria exposes the lie that the activities of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria are prone to violence. The processions this year held in more than sixty (60) different towns and villages. This in itself is another reason why this year’s Ashura procession is unique. We will come to that shortly.

That the procession was conducted against all odds particularly in Kaduna and Sokoto states has put to shame the governors of these two states, Ahmed El-rufai and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal respectively.

First, the Kaduna state government started the unjustified harassment of people who were taking part in their religious duty in Kaduna and Zaria, where arms wielding police were sent to brutally attack them and forcibly disperse them. This scandalous pattern was copied and replicated by the Sokoto state government and even went further to announce an illegal ban on our religious practices and processions and arrested some for daring to go for the mourning sessions. By these intimidating tactics of theirs, they tried in vain to portray the Islamic Movement as a bunch of chaotic individuals whose processions are violent and dangerous and must not be allowed hold otherwise Armageddon would befall the country. However the procession was done and it ended peacefully in Sokoto as in Kaduna and Zaria without an incident, shaming the duo. There was therefore no justification whatsoever for heating the polity and the persecutions before the procession. It turned out that it was all attempt to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it! Shame on both state governors in particular.

In their evil plot, they had earlier set the tone. The National Security Adviser (NSA) had misinformed the National Economic Council about a month earlier that the activities of the Islamic Movement are among their government’s serious security challenges, which according to his laughable assertion was sequel to “evaluation of intelligence reports.” These were followed by intensification of activities by their planted agents, who also tried in vain through words and certain acts to provoke a response from their paid masters. By their miscalculations, certain utterances by these paid agents and “sons of Hamas” would be sufficient to divert focus that could then be used to do a “Python dance” and finish up the genocide they started two years ago.

Few people realize the link between this “python dance” and what they had planned against the Movement. In their warped imagination, they should quickly commence their satanic dance before the commencement of the Ashura commemoration activities of Ashura procession and Arbaeen trek. It would be easier to prove the baseless assertion of NSA Monguno that lists Islamic Movement and in particular what he labeled as “Shiite ideology” as threatening the “peace, stability and security of Nigeria,” or at least so they thought. It was the very reason why a notorious mass murderer, who pioneered the genocide in Zaria and the mass grave, Brig Gen (then a colonel – he was promoted after the Zaria genocide) A. K. Ibrahim was transferred to Ohafia, Abia state as Brigade Commander of 14 brigade to do the “python dance.” Brig AK Ibrahim is a ruthless mass murderer, who lied under oath at the Kaduna Judicial Commission of Inquiry on the extrajudicial murder of members of the Movement. He denied the killings and the existence of mass grave until the confession by the Secretary to Kaduna state government.

One can’t fail to notice the striking similarity between the Zaria massacre and the so-called “Python Dance II.” The central theme of the plot was the same, because the authors are the same and the executioners are the same. It was the same script, only being cast in different geographic locations.

According to reports, "trouble" started when members of IPOB were alleged to have blocked the FMC-Word Bank Road in Umuahia metropolis denying access to members of the 145th Battalion of the Nigerian Army. In Zaria, it was similarly alleged that IMN members blocked the road of the Chief of Army Staff. In Umuahia, the soldiers were said to have fired warning shots in the air to disperse the crowd. In Zaria, they were said to have tried to persuade the crowd verbally before some members of the crowd were alleged to have beaten “the chest of a General” and started throwing stones and shooting. In Umuahia, the soldiers said one of them; Corporal Kolawole Mathew and a female passer-by were injured. In Zaria, they alleged that one Corporal Yakubu DanKaduna was killed and Col. Babayo was injured. In both Umuahia and Zaria cases, they enlisted certain media outlets and fake "activists and campaigners" to call what happened a "clash". The number of casualties were and are still being denied by the army in both cases, until in the Zaria case, they were exposed by spirited humanitarian bodies who carried out thorough professional independent investigative inquiry and came up with undeniable reports that now forced certain government officials into partial confession. And the similarities go on and on.

It seems fairly certain that they rushed to do the Python dance before Ashura so that they could do an anaconda dance with members of the Movement during Ashura procession and Arbaeen trek having already done a Mamba dance or was it a Cobra one during the Zaria genocide in December 2015.

This year’s procession however, took them by surprise despite the government having started in their traditional way of blackmail with so much impunity, misuse of office and disregard to our constitutionally guaranteed rights by using state-sponsored terror tactics by government's security agents. By the time the spell that held them back waned, the processions had long ended. It was a unique window of opportunity to show the world that IMN is a nonviolent Movement and nothing will happen should they be allowed to exercise their rights to practice their faith. This miracle has allowed the world to see through their misstatements about the Movement being a dangerous bunch of violent lots. The world has seen that these processions end peacefully like other programs of the Movement. There is therefore no longer any reason or justification to seek to limit the activities of the Movement on the pretense of fear of violence. This is unique and we can proudly show it anywhere and anytime.

Another uniqueness in this year’s Ashura procession is demonstrated by the exponential increase in the number of towns and villages in which the processions took place. Similarly, the number of people that participated equally increased remarkably. Prior to the Zaria massacre, much less than half of these towns routinely conducted the Ashura procession. This year however, the number of towns and people that came out ready to associate with and participate in the Ashura commemoration more than doubled in spite of the fact that significant threat to their lives and properties as demonstrated by the antecedents of government and their security forces existed. It showed that people were not cowed by the terror tactics of the government and most certainly, were not deterred. It also showed clearly that people feel safe enough to join us. A very unique fact indeed.

To cap up the unique nature of this year’s Ashura day and its activities, is the fact that it fell on first October, a day that the country should be celebrating its independence. Ashura is a solemn religious obligation to us. It is usually marked as a mourning period – we wear black attire and cry. Thus rather than joyously celebrate independence, we mourned, wore black clothes and cried. Could it have been coincidence that these two days fell on the same day this year? A closer look would suggest otherwise. For independence at this material point in time, the citizens should be mourning with the type of heartless rulers unfortunately at the helm of affairs at every level of governance at the moment. For many, it was therefore double mourning.

IslamThe Historic Fraud Of Ashura Fasting: by Elbinawi(op): 4:37am On Oct 02, 2017
The Historic Fraud of Ashura Fasting:

The Ashura fasting is a historic fraud to eclipse the brutal slaughter of Imam Hussein and his family. The murderous criminals created it using fabricated Hadiths.

They claimed Jews fast on Ashura. This is a monumental fraud as Jews never fasted on Ashura. Jews have their own calendar.

And if you check Sahih Buhari there are 3 contradicting reasons given from different Hadiths for the Ashura fasting.

The oppressive & tyrannical Ummayad Caliphs then used their power to fabricate Hadiths & imposed on majority of Muslims to distort Islam.

This was how the murderous killings of innocent civilians in the name of Islam found it way in and bloodthirsty Wahhabi savages embraced it.

Aliyu Smith Musawi wrote on #ShiaGenocide in Nigeria:

They applied the most lethal weapons at their arsenal to kill us thinking they would send our belief (Shia) into oblivion. We didn't fight back, but we protested in the most peaceful manner. They hired mentally-deranged thugs to attack us thinking they would scare us away from holding our peaceful gatherings. They failed again for we never backed down. They proscribed us and banned us from carrying out our activities, accusing us of posing threats to national security and branding us"insurgents" whose sole aim was to replicate the Iranian revolution in Nigeria and whatnot. We were unperturbed and remained focus-driven people, and thank God, even the most partisan bystanders have now agreed that Shias are being victimised for their belief.

Today Ashura mourning was held peaceful across Nigeria despite our expectation of attacks from security forces. It might be because the Nigerian government has come to understand that killings, sporadic attacks and demolishing of our buildings will never for an iota bludgeon us into recanting our subservience to Ahlul Bayt, or that the politicians have decided to focus on fulfilling their electoral promises instead of immersing themselves into a futile and unwinnable war against us because they are pretty sure that they cannot fool people forever.

President Buhari brutally murdered 193 Shia children in Zaria. Some were burnt alive, some were buried alive & some had their heads blown off.

Buhari's terrorists shot Shia women in their private parts and stabbed their breasts with riffle bayonets chanting "No Shia in Nigeria"

Buhari's terrorists shot Shia pregnant women in their stomachs singing, dancing and chanting "No Shia in Nigeria". Peak of monstrous evil

Buhari's terrorists @HQNigerianArmy went to the make-shift clinic. They killed all the injured and burnt the entire building down.

Buhari's terrorists killed a man and his 6 children. They killed a woman and her 3 children. They wiped out 39 Shia families from existence.

Buhari is More of a Terrorist than Nnamdi Kanu:

There is marked difference between Hate speech and terrorism. Terrorism involve the brutal killings of innocent civilians for political gain.

What Nnamdi Kanu & #IPOB are doing is not terrorism but using hate speeches to attain their goal of taking South East out of Nigeria.

What President @MBuhari, @elrufai & @Buratai_COAS did in Zaria against Shiites is murderous terrorism. They brutally slaughtered civilians.

Buhari, Elrufai & Buratai brutally slaughtered Shia children & women. They burnt pregnant women alive & buried children alive in mass graves.

If you ask me whose actions look like #BokoHaram, #ISIS & #AlQaeda between President Buhari & Nnamdi Kanu? I will quickly point to Buhari.

@MBuhari dug mass graves & buried 1000s innocent Nigerians he brutally murdered. #BokoHaram dug mass graves. Nnamdi Kanu no mass grave.

President Buhari and his gang of mass murderers are the real terrorists and not Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB.

PoliticsThe Sokoto State Ban On Shiite Processions Is Discriminatory by Elbinawi(op): 5:27pm On Sep 28, 2017
PRESS STATEMENT

*THE SOKOTO STATE BAN ON SHIITE PROCESSIONS IS DISCRIMINATORY*

The Islamic Movement is highly dismayed when news emanated that Sokoto state Commissioner of justice has announced the ban on Shiite processions in the state on 27/09/17. The ban was hinged on the premise that “there are ongoing activities of Shiite members in the state, that could cause public disorder,” as the Commissioner said. He then went on to say that, “under the Public Order Act, permission for any procession has to be sought through the security agencies.”

For the avoidance of any doubt we will like to remind the state government and the general public that all our processions have been peaceful throughout the history of the Islamic Movement. In fact the last three processions held by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in Sokoto metropolis were devoid of anything unpleasant and even enjoyed police protection as ordered by the constitution. Hence we are surprised by the anticipated ‘public disorder’ as proclaimed by the Commissioner.

It's unfortunate that as a learned counsel that the Justice Commissioner is will cite Public Order Act to perpetrate an act of illegality. At this juncture we will like to remind the state government of the judgement of court of appeal wherein it's stated "“In present day Nigeria, clearly police permit has outlived its usefulness. Certainly in a democracy, it is the right of citizens to conduct peaceful processions, rallies or demonstrations without seeking and obtaining permission from anybody. It is a right guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution and any law that attempts to curtail such right is null and void and of no consequences.”

We will like to reiterate to the general public of our commitment to peaceful assembly and protests not only in Sokoto but the nation in general. This has been the teaching of our illegally incarcerated leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky for decades, and no amount of intimidation will make us abandon that noble Islamic path. We are aware of attempts by the security agencies to carry out false flag attacks in our name, however this will not make us shy away from our responsibility of exposing their vile attempts.

Our annual Ashura procession is a peaceful assembly which is a world-wide phenomenon. It's all about exposing the killers of Imam Husain the Grandson of our Prophet Muhammad (S). Processions in the name of APC and Buhari are allowed, why should the one in the name of the Grand Son of the Prophet be banned?

We therefore call on the Sokoto state government to rescind its decision to split the blood of innocent people during our peaceful processions. It shouldn't tarnish the image of Sokoto state that has been adjudged to be most peaceful since the inception of Tambuwal's administration.

Evil Nigerian Tyrant Buhari Worst Than Yazeed:

Dear Husseinis,
As we commemorate the #Ashura Tragedy we should remember Ashuras of today.

Evil historic criminal Yazeed slaughtered the beloved Grandson of the Prophet (sa) on the plains of #Karbala & his 72 righteous companions.

On 12-14th December, 2015 the evil tyrant Buhari slaughtered 1000+ followers of Imam Hussein (as) in Nigeria. He killed children, women & men.

When Buhari sent murderous soldiers terrorists to the residence of Sheikh Zakzaky, Sheikh Zakzaky changed & wore his Ashura mourning cloths.

The 7 bullets of Buhari's soldiers that penetrated the body of Sheikh Zakzaky penetrated his Ashura mourning cloths. #Zakzaky is Husseini!

Yazeed killed no woman & one child during Ashura Tragedy but Buhari killed 297 women with 29 of them pregnant & 193 children #ZariaMassacre.

While Yazeed left the dead bodies of Imam Hussein (as) & his 72 companions Buhari burnt some dead bodies & buried 100s in mass graves.

Yazeed quickly freed the captives of Ashura Tragedy. Buhari sent 200+ captives of #ZariaMassacre to prison & still holding them in detention.

Buhari brutally murdered 3 children of Sheikh Zakzaky in his residence & is holding him and his wife in 21 months illegal detention incommunicado.

Dear Husseinis,
As we mourn the Grandson of the Prophet (sa), Imam Hussein (a), we should remember the Husseini of Africa & his companions.

We should also remember Martyr Sheikh Baqir al-Nimr who was brutally beheaded by the savage Saudi king Salman, master of the Tyrant Buhari.

We must never forget the ugly faces & identities of the murderous criminals @MBuhari, @elrufai, Buratai, @skusman etc who murdered 1000+ Husseinis.

President Buhari brutally slaughtered 100s Igbo youths in South East Nigeria & wickedly dumped their dead bodies in mass graves.

How can such a wicked and extremely violent man preach against violence at the #UNGA? How can mass murderer like Buhari be anti-violence?

Everything about President Buhari is to send Soldiers to kill, rape & destroy. One-day Buhari will send Soldiers to settle family disputes. #Wahhabism_Mentality

@netanyahu at #UNGA

For the first time in its ignoble history the genocidal #Israeli regime saw a power that will destroy it. #Iran

In 2006 war #Hezbollah destroyed the fraudulent myth of invincibility of the Israeli regime. A Hezbollah warrior destroyed 15 elite Markevich tank.

Western powers supply sophisticated military hardware to the Israeli regime. Everyday Iran's progress destroy that technological edge.

Iran do not have any problem with #Jews. There are Iranian Jews living peacefully and in total security in the Islamic Republic.

But Iran & the conscience section of humanity have serious problem with the unjust occupation of #Palestine & daily killings of Palestinians.

A senior ANC of South Africa official who went to 'Israel' said Apartheid that he saw there is worst than what they experienced during White rule.

Sadly some African Christians are brainwashed that bloodthirsty Zionist Jews are "Chosen people of God". They can kill children & rape women

Nobody hate Jesus (as) and his chaste mother like Bloodthirsty Zionist Savages but these brainwashed African Christians worship them.

There are 100s of 1000s of Palestinian Christians in occupied #Palestine but these brainwashed African Christians support the Zionist savages.

Hopefully one day genocide of oppressed Palestinian Muslims & Christians by bloodthirsty Israeli savages will end & #Palestine will be free.

PoliticsShiites Urge UN To Withdraw Nigeria’s Membership by Elbinawi(op): 2:38pm On Sep 20, 2017
Shiites urge UN to withdraw Nigeria’s membership

2017/09/20

Guardian.ng

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) wants the United Nations (UN) to withdraw Nigeria’s membership from the international body.

IMN said the Federal Government, through the military, violated the relevant articles of the UN when an act of genocide was allegedly committed against the Shiites in December 2015.

In a statement by the spokesman of IMN, Mallam Ibrahim Musa, yesterday, the Islamic group said that, “instead of providing president Buhari a megaphone, the United Nations should be expelling Nigeria from membership under Article 6 of the United Nations Charter.”

According to Musa: “the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) should be referring the president and his henchmen like Army Chief of Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai and Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai to the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda, to investigate for complicity in genocide.

“The UNSC should also be imposing an arms embargo on Nigeria under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter until the Zaria genocide is independently investigated and culprits brought to book.

“These sanctions, against Nigeria would honour twin objectives of the United Nations: to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained; and, promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to…religion.”

Besides, the IMN official also pointed out, “in as much as the UN is to be blamed for its silence on Zaria massacre, the silence exhibited by the National Assembly in Abuja is even more confounding. Of recent, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki is reported to be decrying the military’s attempt to list IPOB among terrorist groups. We wonder where Saraki was when a worse treatment was visited on Shia Muslim minorities since December 2015 by the Army.”

The Shiites further argued that “while the suffering and persecution of Burma’s Muslim Rohingya has captured headlines and the attention of the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights, Nigeria’s far worse oppression of Shia Muslim minorities has been largely ignored.”

He said credible human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, Human rights watch and Islamic Human rights commission have on several occasions
condemned the action displayed by the army on unarmed civilians, but to the chagrin of people of conscience, the UN body has kept mute on the issue.

Is this man insane or possessed? Saudi King has slaughtered more than 12,000 civilians in #Yemen that included 3,000 children.

As for Donald Trump that bloodthirsty American savage yesterday at the UN threatened to slaughter 30+ million Koreans with Nuclear bombs.

When the wicked Nigerian tyrant Buhari slaughtered 1000+ Shia children, women and men in Zaria, Saudi king called him and celebrated.

But the Saudi king never call any to condole Nigerians when they were slaughtered by murderous #BokoHaram terrorists.

Is creating #ISIS, #AlQaeda and other murderous Wahhabi terrorist groups by the US and Saudi regimes among "peace, prosperity and security"?

Nigeria's Conquistadors

By Mohammed Ibraheem Zakzaky

All Muslims take great pride in in the history of the great achievements of our predecessors in Al-Andalus, I in particular feel Al-Andalus in my veins, for I am a Bamalle; specifically my ancestors hail from a region once known as the Maghreb, which consists of what is today, Morocco, Western Sahara, Algeria, Mauritania and Spain. It was from the ancient city of Chinguetti, that my forefathers made their way to the house of Sheikh Usman bin Fodio from whence my great great grandfather accompanied Malam Musa to Zaria; which is where I was born. So the process I find myself enduring is beginning to feel very familiar, it’s as though we are once again back in Al-Andalus, and we are being slowly, but systematically squeezed out of our very right to exist as human beings. For the fate that seems to be in store or us for us is exactly like the one suffered by the Muslims of Spain, who were slowly but surely squeezed out of their lands, and their homes, and then they were squeezed out of existence, all thanks to the mighty efforts of the conquistadores; back then, when they made a great undertaking, founded upon a ruthless determination to satisfy their insatiable greed at any cost. An undertaking that led to the systematic eradication of Muslims from Spain; through unjustifiable acts by any moral standards.

A period in history when kingdoms armed with the inquisition on the one hand, and the ruthless and greedy conquistadores on the other; when these kingdoms used murder, terrorism, extortion and treachery, against a foe whose only true weakness was an inferior capacity for violence; when in order to survive Al-Andalus was forced to make numerous unequal treaties. Treaties which were treacherously broken by the aggressors as soon as they found it convenient. In the end the Muslims of Al-Andalus had no choice but to offer to surrender, on one condition and one condition only; that they be allowed to simply live as Muslims in peace. An agreement that was swiftly broken as soon as they laid down their arms. And thus they were effectively grinded down until they could resist no more. Then they were either forced from their homes, or else they were burned at the stake. The few survivors had to resort to desperate measures just to preserve their faith, they even went so far as to use their knowledge of building mosques, to design and build their own houses in a way that gave them a chance to at least pray in peace, while simultaneously avoiding the preying eyes of the inquisition; knowing full well that if they were discovered, they would be burned in front of a cheering crowd, pronto presto.

It was a time when one of the most infamous cases of sustained terrorism, barbarity, extortion and treachery in history was pursued to a successful completion. A time whereby a peaceful people were systematically eradicated by a bloodthirsty group of people whose credentials were filled with nefarious activities such as burning women at the stake, burning entire cities to the ground and burning mountains upon mountains of books; all in an effort to exterminate what they called heresy. These inquisitors and conquistadores would go on to use their shameful training, to repeat the same tactic to wipe entire races from the face of the earth, they would exterminate entire populations, destroy entire civilizations, and enslave entire races. These are the people who are responsible for wiping out the Mayan and Incan civilizations to name but a few. For whatever and whoever they could not bend to their greedy will, they destroyed. The world and humanity as a whole has none but these inquisition backed conquistadores to thank for having been robbed and raped by the likes of Pedro de Alvarado, Hernan Cortez and Nuno de Guzman. A strategy that was so efficiently pursued so that an entire dimension of knowledge is now forever lost forever. But they started it all with the Muslims of Al-Andalus, their own neighbours. As these murderers screamed ‘Deus Vult!’ they refused to love their neighbours as Christ had commanded.

Three years ago, three of my brothers were practically tortured to death along with thirty one other men women and children who happened to be in the vicinity at the time, for no justifiable reason other than it being a simple opportunity that was technically available to the soldiers who were armed to the teeth at the time. Men who now have power that is unencumbered by purpose or reason in such a way that they are allowed to let their dark sides lose. Whatever may have led to the incident is of no consequence when you consider the fact that to this day this act of extrajudicial murder that was committed by uniformed officers of the Nigerian Army has never been graced with even an iota of official recognition, let alone an official statement. Little more than a year later, men in the same uniform, besieged my father’s home for more than three days, and then stormed it, burning and pillaging their way, raping and killing as they pleased, until they found a room, where the few who were still living, including my parents and my three remaining brothers had taken refuge. They then unleashed the fury of their weapons upon the helpless last survivors until they were sure that all were dead. I listened on the phone that dropped from my mother’s hand, I heard as they commented “this one no die” followed by the loud crack of a shot being fired. I heard their voices, as they talked as if the whole affair was routine for them.

In less than three years, the Nigerian Army has carried out a campaign in which it has supposedly failed to defeat ‘Boko Haram,’ an archetype doomsday kind of an enemy, whose core belief is that knowledge is Sin! An incomprehensible enemy with an apparent determination to seek out and find the location of the horn of Azraeel (the Angel of death), so that they can blow into it, because for them the world must end now. This Nigerian army which is supposed to be fighting this doomsday cult, in such an epic battle for life versus death, has not only failed to defeat that ‘enemy;’ it has managed to find the time to have murdered my brother Ahmad on the side. A recently graduated chemical engineer, Ahmad’s foremost concern was to begin his masters-degree. With their bullets they murdered Hamid, who was an aspiring aeronautical engineer in his second year, two years shy of getting his first degree. Mahmood who had an aptitude for fine art and was hoping to become a graphic designer. A little over a year later, Hammad; who was most intrigued by Sigmund Freud and Hilgard, and was most sparked when discussing the subject of phycology, was murdered in the laundry room of our house, before he had ever gotten the chance to enrol in a university. Along with him Ali who is also my brother, was recovering from a wound that nearly cost him his leg, after he was deliberately shot in the leg, he had just returned home after nearly a yearlong battle to save his shattered leg. The youngest of my brothers, Humaid was still a child, busy dressing up and playing as the likes of Captain Jack Sparrow and Ezio Auditore da Firenze, jumping up and down from ledges, windows and trees. I know very little about the many others who were in the room with them at the time. But two years on, we have still not been allowed to even bury them. They lie in a mass grave somewhere in Kaduna State.

Most of the survivors of the horrific experiences of December 2015 are still unaccounted for. The majority of the ones whose whereabouts we know have languished for nearly two years now. We have pursued every known path within the confines of the rule of Law, as it is in the Federal republic of Nigeria today. We have tried all the peaceful means available to us. We have consistently protested in public, we have gone to the courts, we have made appeals to whomever we could reach, we have tried everything, yet we have been unable to achieve even something as simple as enforcing the fundamental human rights that are supposed to be guaranteed to even the most destructive of criminals. In the meantime, many people have been killed, maimed or arrested for no reason other than that they protested in public. Many have had their homes destroyed and their property looted, worst of all, properties including those belonging to my father have been invaded and exploited in broad daylight, by arms of this government, even though there are absolutely no legal grounds for doing so. As of right now there are hundreds who have been incarcerated and denied even a thing as simple as bail. People who have been incarcerated and accused of various kinds of fictional crimes, crimes that they had no capacity to even contemplate, let alone commit. The evidence brought against them has included such things as charred laptops, SIM cards and phone chargers.

If I was to naturally fall and die right now, I imagine I would have to prefer to be buried in secret, or it will certainly be dangerous for anyone to take me to the one place that should be my final resting place, where three of my brothers still lie, where my other three brothers should have been laid. Yet this is a location that continues to be routinely vandalized with this government’s support, to this day, a location I cannot visit in peace. If I am lucky, and I die a natural death, or if I am unlucky and I do get murdered, one thing is certain, my corpse would have to be extremely lucky to end up in the hands of a surviving loved one and not in some mass grave. Even if I do get lucky enough to be buried in peace where I belong, there is the issue of that gravestone, the one I designed and had made, so I could sleep under it when my time comes. The stone I designed and had made on the same day I made that belonging to my grandmother and my aunt, both of which have now been stolen. The stones I placed over the graves of Ahmad, Hamid and Mahmood were driven over with bulldozers until they cracked, and they too would have also been stolen, were it not for the unyielding bravery of a few good men, women and children.

The more and more I think of it, the more I get a Grenadine kind of feeling chilling its way down my spine. I start to feel like I am just another poor soul in a place like, Toledo, Seville, Valencia, Cordoba or Granada. For our plight is not unlike that which the Muslims of Al-Andalus had to endure for a period of decades and centuries. It is demonstrably very clear and evident that any possible collection of the tactics being employed against us is so reminiscent and neigh identical to the grand strategy that was employed by the conquistadores against Muslims who would later become labelled as the Moriscos. It becomes so apparent that the collective similarities and correlations between the scenarios can no longer be ignored. On the night of my best friend’s thirty third birthday he told me something that I simply wanted and tried to play down. I was twenty three years old at the time. That night he told me that when one reached the age he had just reached, one would have no choice but choose which dreams to pursue and which to abandon as lost causes. Then he said “you will be very fortunate if, even one of your preferred choices happen to be on the menu.” I reached thirty one years of age, a few days after the Nigerian Army murdered my brothers; Ahmad, Hamid and Mahmood. At that time in 2015 I chose to use all at my disposal to have Jonathan voted out of office, and I got to work.

We must stop acting in ways that can possibly help a government that is not only clearly steering Nigeria down the path of evil dictatorship; but also a government that is unabashed to openly pursue a dictatorially, mad, atrocious and genocidal strategy. A government that is unabashedly and clearly willing to charter the course of the entire nation that is Nigeria, down the path of transforming into this world’s second great Necrocracy. Existing by the graces of a figurative and practical corpse. We must not continue to hold our brothers back, since our enemies are clearly determined to use all our efforts against us. It is not our place, and it is most certainly not our duty, to go out of our own way to preserve a peace that doesn’t really exist. In a time when something as simple as delivering medical attention to your fellow human beings, your brothers, your sisters, your father and even your mother proves to be an impossibility, a time when you can be made to languish in captivity and devoid of even the most basic of rights in practical perpetuity; a time in which to be properly buried is an unattainable and unimaginable privilege, what else can you do? Considering our lack of any capacity for violence, what more can we try? In light of these circumstances what option is left to us other than silence? If you cannot tell the person next to you, ‘that as long as they stay within the boundaries of the constitution and the law of the land, they will be safe from undue harm,’ then what do we have left to say? What can you say to the likes of ISIS, ISIL, Boko Haram and the Animal and his undead master? What word is left between us and these kinds of Fanatics?

We must stop telling people to stop, for we have truly nothing more to say, and virtually nothing to show for all our efforts. God is and will always be our first and last resort, we must start praying that God be with those who seek justice. We must pray for them, even if their quest for justice requires that they have to respond in kind to even the odds of our survival, by fighting fire with fire. We must stop using our belief in peace and harmony as an excuse to hold people back, based on ideals that are ruthlessly disregarded by the conquistadores of this day and age. As peaceful protestors get harassed, detained, massacred, raped and violated; as people get victimized in every way imaginable, as we continue to live and endure life in a state that is ruled by a government that is protected by an army that is clearly determined to find and open Pandora’s Box. We who are not versed in vandalism and barbarism, may continue to follow the peaceful path we know and live by. But if any one comes to you or me and says he wishes to do something drastic, I think that it is in our best interest, that we try to prevail upon ourselves to just leave it be and pray that “God be with the righteous.” Let them deal with the daemons they are so desperate to unleash. We have and want nothing to resort to, save God Almighty.

They accuse us of setting up a parallel government, simply because we acted to prevent their ethnic cleansing plan of 2007. They have killed our friends, they killed our brothers, they killed our sisters, they killed our fathers and they have even killed our mothers; worst of all they have even gone as far as to plan and implement a tactic of killing our children. Those who survived their onslaught of mindless violence have been maintained in a state of induced decay. Dead or alive the victims of the conquistador modelled Nigerian Army and their families are being made to suffer. Those who died have been dumped into mass graves, those who survived have been detained without fair trial. Meanwhile, under the protection of this government their homes are being destroyed, the homes where they had once sheltered fellow human beings from the madness and massacre, are being destroyed. People are being dispossessed simply because they followed the teachings of Imam Hussain. No more, we must and will defend our homes and our lives. By hook or crook we will commemorate the murder of imam Hussain (A.S) as we have always done, come what may! When they rise to kill us like sheep, they will find the wolf’s road to be riddled with the difficulties that form the minefield of God’s protection.

PoliticsZaria Genocide: A Conspiracy Of Silence by Elbinawi(op): 3:13pm On Sep 19, 2017
PRESS STATEMENT

Zaria genocide: A conspiracy of silence

While the suffering and persecution of Burma’s Muslim Rohingya have captured headlines and the attention of the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights, Nigeria’s far worse oppression of Shia Muslim minorities has been largely ignored. Credible human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, Humana rights watch and Islamic Human rights commission have on several occasions since the infamous Zaria massacre by the Nigerian army in December, 2015 condemned the barbarity displayed by the army on unarmed civilians with undisputable proofs, but to the chagrin of people of conscience the UN body has kept mute on the issue.

The most recent attempt by the human rights bodies to draw the attention of the world on the plight of the Shia minorities in Nigeria is the symposium conducted by the Amnesty International in Abuja during the commemoration of the International day of the disappeared persons. During the event family members of some victims of the forceful disappearance of members of IMN, widely known as Shiites during the Zaria genocide were present, likewise photographic and video proofs of the massacre were displayed to the public, but to the consternation of all, the international body is yet to take any concrete move on this brazen human rights abuse by Buhari administration.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that hundreds of innocent civilians have died and more have been injured or terrorized by Nigeria’s military acting under Buhari’s direction within two days only, precisely 12-14 December, 2015. We believe this genocide of Shia Muslim minority is not a “domestic” matter within the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigeria. Genocide is a crime against all of mankind which concerns every country. Hence we urged member states of the United Nations organization to hold Nigeria accountable for its crimes and not let the country get away with genocide.

Even the kangaroo judicial commission set up by Kaduna state government has confirmed the existence of a mass grave in the outskirts of Kaduna full of at least 347 bodies of members of IMN, killed and hastily buried by the Army and Kaduna state government on the orders of the state Governor Elrufai.

Instead of providing president Buhari a megaphone, the United Nations should be expelling Nigeria from membership under Article 6 of the United Nations Charter. The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) should be referring the president and his henchmen like Army Chief of Staff Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai and Kaduna state Governor, Nasiru Elrufai to the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda, to investigate for complicity in genocide.

The UNSC should also be imposing an arms embargo on Nigeria under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter until the Zaria genocide is independently investigated and culprits brought to book. These sanctions against Nigeria would honor twin objectives of the United Nations: (1) “to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained;” and, (2) “promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to…religion.”

In as much as the UN is to be blamed for its silence on Zaria massacre, the silence exhibited by the National assembly in Abuja is even more confounding. Of recent the senate president Bukola Saraki is reported to be decrying the military’s attempt to list IPOB among terrorist groups. We wonder where Saraki was when a worse treatment was visited on Shia Muslim minorities since December 2015 by the Army.

Where was Saraki when soldiers of the Nigerian Army killed over a thousand people in Zaria between December 12 and 14, 2015? Where was Saraki when El-Rufai proscribed the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and engaged the services of thugs to team up with security agents to clampdown on members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, killing, maiming as well as torching and destroying their properties?

Where was Saraki when a joint force consisting of the military, police and plain clothes security agents carried out the extra judicial killing of scores of Shia Muslim minorities in Funtua, Kaduna, Jos and other places in October, 2016? Was Saraki not in the country when police brutally killed over 30 people in November 2016 during the Arba'een trek in Kano?

This and many others make it difficult to resist the conclusion that there is a conspiracy of silence within the international human rights community and the various arms of governance in Nigeria as regards the persecution of members of IMN. Nonetheless this will not deter us in the struggle for justice to the victims of Zaria massacre. We therefore once again reiterate our stand for the immediate and unconditional release of our leader, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, his wife, and hundreds of his followers languishing in various jails across the country. We also demand for the hundreds of bodies of IMN members killed by the Army for proper Islamic burial.

PoliticsReply To Gen SK Usman, Nigerian Army Spokesman by Elbinawi(op): 6:06am On Sep 18, 2017
Reply To Gen SK Usman, Nigerian Army Spokesman:

"There's a reason you separate military and police. One fights the enemy of the state. The other serve and protect the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemy of the state tend to become the people." -William Adama

I posted the article below which was a compilation of my Tweets in my (elbinawi.) about the abduction of the only daughter of Maryam Muhammad Sani (@MaryamS1968) by the Nigerian Army and the Army Spokesman, Gen SK Usman, immediately replied. The article:

"Abducted Shia Girls by Nigerian Army:

The Nigerian Army abducted close to 50 Shia girls after the brutal and inhuman #ZariaMassacre of 1000+ innocent Nigerians. Most of them are University undergraduates.

One of those abducted girls by the Nigerian Army is a daughter of activist @MaryamS1968, her only daughter who is a University undergraduate.

Since after the abduction of her only daughter by the Nigerian Army, activist @MaryamS1968 launch online campaigns to free her daughter.

The plight of@MaryamS1968 attracted sympathy from prominent Nigerian activists and Bloggers who condemn the murderous evil of abduction.

Activist @MaryamS1968 always tag the Twitter handle of the Nigerian Army in her campaigns. One day the Nigerian Army blocked her Twitter handle.

Recently @bbchausa asked the Nigerian Army spokesman Gen SK Usman @skusman about the abduction of @MaryamS1968 daughter.

The Nigerian Army spokesman Gen SK Usman @skusman told @bbchausa that "they invited @MaryamS1968 but she failed to turn up".

@MaryamS1968 Tweeted that she was never invited by the Nigerian Army. The Army spokesman shamelessly lied to Nigerians and the world.

The @HQNigerianArmy Spokesperson, Gen SK Usman @skusman, lied to @bbchausa about their abduction of the daughter of @MaryamS1968. These people are evil!

President @MBuhari and the Nigerian Army must understand that they can not bury the heinous crimes and atrocities of #ZariaMassacre like they buried the victims."

Gen SK Usman replied:

"This write up is sheer mischief and distortion by the writer. I stated that when she Tweet about the alleged abduction of her daughter I advised her to formally report and up till this moment she has not done so. Stop ascribing words and deeds to people falsely."

I sent the reply of the Army spokesman to prominent activist, Zainab Al'Amin (@Zinadabo) and she exclaimed "So he changed his mouth suddenly?". Zainab Al'Amin knew exactly what Gen SK Usman told BBC_Hausa. The Army spokesman told BBC_Hausa that they invited Maryam Muhammad Sani about the abduction of her daughter but she did not turn up. But in his reply to my post he claimed "I advised her to formally report....". The question is when and where did he contacted her and advised her? Maryam Muhammad Sani said nobody from the Nigerian Army contacted her about the abduction of her only daughter, Fatima.

This is not the first time that principal officers of the Army will publicly lie to Nigerians under the Buhari regime. After the brutal and inhuman Zaria massacre the army chief Buratai told the Nigerian Human Rights Commission (NHRC) that "only 7 Shiites were killed and 10 others injured ". The Kaduna state government later told the Judicial Commission of Inquiry (JCI) that they collected 347 dead bodies of Shia children, women and men from the army and buried all of them in a single mass grave in Mando, outskirt of Kaduna. The most recent lies of the Army is their fraudulent claims of rescuing #BokoHaram captives of UniMaid Lecturers.

Another question for the army spokesman, Gen SK Usman: Why is the Nigerian Army executing #BokoHaram agenda?

Exactly on 27th November, 2015, BokoHaram terrorists released a video where their leader, Abubakar Shekau, threatened Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and Shiites. Two weeks later President Buhari sent the Army to Zaria where they brutally murdered 1000+ Shia civilians and wickedly dumped the dead bodies in mass graves at night to bury the evidences. Since Buhari came to power two years ago the biggest killer of Nigerian civilians is not BokoHaram terrorists but the Nigerian Army. Words such as "mass graves" is associated with murderous terrorist groups, #ISIS, #AlQaeda, BokoHaram etc, but sadly today the Nigerian Army is massacring 1000s innocent Nigerians and dump the dead bodies in mass graves at night. Have the Nigerian Army become a murderous Wahhabi terrorist group?

On a final note, Gen SK Usman, you people brutally slaughtered 1000+ Shia civilians in Zaria to serve evil imperialist agenda that has the savage Saudi regime as front. Those innocent Nigerians you brutally murdered and dumped their dead bodies in mass graves were human created by God. They had families, friends, neighbors, colleagues and loved ones. You can wickedly bury their dead bodies in mass graves but you will never be able to bury their memories in our hearts and remembrance.

#IPOB blunders:

Nigerians saw videos of IPOB members searching for Hausas to kill in Aba and other South East towns. This is a big blunder.

If #IPOB are activists for the emancipation of the Igbo nation then why attack & kill innocent civilians? Killing civilians is absolute evil.

Wicked, evil and bloodthirsty tyrant @MBuhari is killing innocent civilians, #IPOB is killing innocent civilians. What is the difference?

#IPOB killings of Hausas in the South East endangered the lives, properties and wealth of millions of Igbos in Northern Nigeria.

Why will #IPOB that want to emancipate Igbos from tyranny and oppression endanger the lives of millions of Igbos in Northern Nigeria?

If those hunting to kill Hausas are infiltrators then why did #IPOB not condemn that wickedness & offer condolences to families of victims?

Even if #IPOB massacred all the Hausas in the South East and burn down all the Mosques in South East #BiafraExit will not be the result.

@NGRPresident @MBuhari is a wicked bloodthirsty Wahhabi savage who love killing innocent Nigerians. #IPOB members should not emulate him.

PoliticsAbducted Shia Girls By Nigerian Army: by Elbinawi(op): 10:29am On Sep 17, 2017
Abducted Shia Girls by Nigerian Army:

President @MBuhari and the Nigerian Army must understand that they can not bury the heinous crimes and atrocities of #ZariaMassacre like they buried the victims.

PoliticsLike Myanmar, Like Nigeria by Elbinawi(op): 12:09am On Sep 16, 2017
PUBLIC RELEASE:

*LIKE MYANMAR, LIKE NIGERIA*

In recent weeks, when news of the gruesome massacre of Rohingya Muslims horribly killed by Myanmar soldiers becomes public via the social media platform with gory images, Muslims worldwide and Nigerians in particular showed their concern. Majority of people were in disbelief that such cruelty and man’s inhumanity to fellow man can happen right under our nose. But pictures don’t lie, most importantly videos can’t be disputed.

As usual with what has been happening to Muslims the world over, the mainstream media of the western world turned a blind eye to the unquantifiable suffering of the Muslim minorities in Myanmar. However as the social media became awash with the disturbing news and images together with videos, the mainstream media joined in giving the unfortunate news the coverage it deserves.

It has been reported that Myanmar government soldiers are the perpetrators of all the killings of Muslims in Rakhine state of that country, just like what happened to Muslim members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in December, 2015 in Zaria. The Myanmar soldiers, like their Nigerian counterparts did not spare children in their killing spree. They openly and brazenly torched Muslim buildings, just like the Nigerian army did in burning down several houses in Zaria. Women and the elderly were killed by the Myanmar army, just like the Nigerian soldiers killed innocent women and the elderly in Zaria. In fact the atrocities committed by the soldiers in Myanmar is no different from the one committed by the Nigerian soldiers in Zaria both in execution and style.

As if to confirm that tyranny and injustice has the same face everywhere, the way the national government of Myanmar went about denying the undeniable fact of the gruesome murders carried out by its soldiers is similar the way the Buhari administration has been treating the genocide carried out by its army in Zaria. It is an incontrovertible fact that the two incidents have the Zionist hand all over them, enjoying the backing of Western imperialists. In fact the way the country’s president, Aung San Suu Kyi took a deafening silence on the issue is akin to Buhari’s silence on the Zaria killings. If at all there is something different about the two genocides that of Rakhine state in Myanmar and Kaduna state in Nigeria, is that the latter was conducted within only 48 hours with even greater brutality and casualty figures of those killed.

Therefore it will be hypocrisy of the highest order for one to condemn the genocide in Myanmar without condemning the one in Nigeria. It will be insane for a Nigerian to condemn President Aung over the killings and wanton destruction of properties in Myanmar without condemning President Buhari over Zaria killings of December 2015. The way people of conscience felt for the helpless Muslims of Rakhine state in Myanmar, especially their brothers in faith, is the way they should have felt when Zaria massacre occurred. Alas the two were given different treatment by majority of Muslims here in Nigeria. No sign of remorse and concern was shown to Zaria tragedy, with some even applauding the savage killings carried out by the Army.

However we will not be coerced into silence on injustice meted to our leader, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, his family and followers by the Buhari administration. We will keep on demanding for our right to justice and fair play, the cardinal principles of any democratic settings. We call on all and sundry to come out and join us in the struggle for justice not only in Kaduna state but the nation in general.

As the Islamic Movement in Nigeria join many others in condemning the massacre carried out by soldiers in Myanmar and call for justice to be done for the victims, we hereby call on the federal government to do the necessary on the Zaria massacre. Our leader should be released from the illegal incarceration he has been put to for almost two years now. We demand his immediate freedom, his wife and other hundreds of members of the Islamic Movement clamped into detention centres. We also demand for the corpses of our massacred brothers and sisters for proper Islamic burials.

#Nigeria: Stop these Inhuman & Barbaric Killings

I Heard violence erupted in Jos between Igbo and Hausa tribe. Very unfortunate that oppressed Nigerians are killing each other. @zinadabo

Provocative Hate speeches and irresponsible actions of tribal clowns like @MBuhari & Nnamdi Kanu led to the inhuman genocide in Rwanda.

I Saw 2 disturbing videos. A video of Igbo youths searching for Hausas to kill & the second is of the Army inhumanity on Igbo civilians.

Since #ZariaMassacre the @HQNigerianArmy became a genocidal force not to protect Nigerians but to slaughter defenseless Nigerians.

Nigerians saw that horrible video of @HQNigerianArmy de-humanization of Igbo civilians in Aba-Ummahia highway. So wicked and evil. Barbaric!

Nigeria Today:
-Buhari sent the Army to slaughter Igbos in East.
-Igbos searching for Hausas to kill in East
-Hausas & Igbos killing each other in North

#BokoHaram terrorists are bombing and killing innocent Nigerians daily in the North East but Buhari sent the Army to South East Nigeria.

God forbid that a Rwandan-like genocide happen here. Duty of leaders, religious scholars & activists to quench this rising flame of killings.

Buhari hate killing #BokoHaram but love killing Shias & Igbos:

Fellow Pilgrims,
Activists, we should douse the rising flame of another civil war & tribal warfare ignited by wicked & evil tyrant @MBuhari.

Everyday Buhari's brothers #BokoHaram bomb & kill innocent Nigerians but President Buhari chose to do his Payton dance in South East Nigeria.

The bloodthirsty tyrant Buhari hate killing murderous #BokoHaram terrorists but he love killing innocent Shia & Igbo children and women.

Dear Igbo brothers & sisters,
I heard Mosques burnt in the South East. Please understand that Islam & Muslims did not kill 100s of your youths.

I also heard that Hausas were attacked in the South East. Please understand that it is not Hausas that are killing Igbo youths.

Wicked, Evil and bloodthirsty tyrant @MBuhari is the one that killed 100s Igbo youths and wickedly dumped their dead bodies in mass graves.

Wicked mass murderer @MBuhari do not represent Islam & Hausa/Fulani tribe. He is a bloodthirsty Wahhabi savage loyal to AlSaud regime.

The Muslims & Hausa/Fulani you attacked in South East Nigeria are also oppressed like you by our wicked and heartless Nigerian oppressors.

Some of those Muslims & Hausa/Fulani are Shia Muslims. Evil tyrant @MBuhari brutally slaughtered 1000+ of them in Zaria in Dec 2015.

Today #Nigeria need peace not @MBuhari's senseless killings, massacres and mass graves of innocent and defenseless Nigerians.

PoliticsWhen Late Nigerian Tyrant Abacha Attacked Sheikh Zakzaky by Elbinawi(op): 11:17am On Sep 13, 2017
When late Nigerian Tyrant Abacha Attacked Sheikh Zakzaky

*September 12 to December 12: the embers of tyranny 1*

It is on a day like this in 1996, when perhaps the seed of brazen abuse of rights of Sheikh Zakzaky and other members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria was again clearly demonstrated by the brutal might of state apparatus.

On that day, in the early hours of the day, well armed is security forces, using the cover of darkness of early dawn, several trucks and armoured personnel Carriers had laid a siege of Sheikh Zakzaky's house, then situated in Banzazzau quatres of Zaria city, just behind the Emir's palace. Their main mission was to pick Sheikh Zakzaky on the direct orders of the maximum dictator, Gen Sani Abacha, dead or alive. Abacha was basking on his brutal potentiality at the time. He had maximally descended on Abiola, NADECO and all other June 12 agitators, who were either killed, captured and detained or made to flee into exile. Just a few weeks earlier, he had killed the popular Ken Saro-wiwa, the Niger Delta and Ogoni front line environmentalist and anti-polution activist along with his supporters, against international outcry. All known and perceived opposition was cowed. It only remained Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his Islamic Movement.

When the unsuspecting members of the Movement assembled for the early morning prayers as was the practice in the Sheikh's residence, they met battle ready security men, who would not do anything besides what they were instructed from Aso rock to do - pick Sheikh Zakzaky dead or alive.

Sheikh Zakzaky addressed his supporters present at the time. He told them he was going to follow the security forces to wherever they wish to take him to. He pointed out that it was not the first time he would be arrested and certainly it was not going to be the last. He mentioned that he knew his detention was not going to last too long. He cautioned that he didn't want any member to attempt to follow him but said that he would like that all activities the Movement undertakes be continued. He chose Sheikh Muhammad Mahmud Turi and his blood brother, Malam Badamasi Yakub to excort him.

That was how he was taken into detention last lasted twenty seven months.

At first, it was not clear what the reasons were that made the government come after the Sheikh. That gave room for the rumour mill, oiled specifically by the security outfit at the time. One early such rumours was that the arrest had to do with probably a publication in the extremely popular Hausa newspaper, _Almizan._ What made this seemed the most probable at the time was the way the MD of the newspaper, Alhaji Hameed Danlami and two other workers of the newspaper were simultaneously arrested. While the siege of Sheikh Zakzaky's house lasted, there was a similar and simultaneous siege on Alhaji Danlami's residence. The natural thing was to assume perhaps the arrest had something to do with the publication. However, that could not be sustained since nobody could pinpoint anywhere in the editions where the government could consider foul. Therefore, this quickly fizzled out. The next and the most weird of the allegations at the time was that the Movement was operating an illegal FM radio station. It was something the security forces could easily sellout to the masses because at the time, _Radio Kudirat_ was being aired by the opposition group, NADECO. The government had tried woefully to stop it to no avail. However, people seriously doubted that any radio station was being operated by the Islamic Movement. Nobody could say he ever heard it. This also quickly fizzled out too. The government had to look for some other reasons to give for the arrests.

In the meantime, as the news of the arrest of Sheikh Zakzaky filtered through, there were spontaneous protests across all major towns and villages particularly in the North, but also in certain parts of the south, Lagos and Enugu inclusive. The same protests also held in London and other foreign countries condemning the arrest and calling for the immediate release of the cleric. While all protests ended peacefully everywhere else, in Zaria the protest was attacked by combined forces of Police and soldiers leading to the death of eleven members of the Movement instantly. Many others were maimed for life. Another grand protest took place in Kaduna some six days later. That too was brutally quelled, leading to the further deaths of several members. A mass grave had to be dug by authorities to bury so many of those killed.

What followed was spates of mass arrests and detention of anyone suspected of being even a sympathizer of the Movement. At some time , Sheikh's wife and children were attacked and arrested. That was how the brutality continued unabated. Soon, due to a massive #FreeZakzaky Campaign mounted nationally and internationally, there was so much pressure on the government to release Sheikh Zakzaky. Up till that time, the government could not state exactly why the Sheikh was arrested. He was taken to Port Harcourt prison, but there were no specific charges. Several hundreds of others arrested were similarly distributed in all prisons across the country, mainly without charges. In fact, there was no prison in the country that didn't house members of the Movement. The more brutal the regime tried to clampdown on the Movement, the more the international and national outcry became.

The government had no option but to frame charges against the Sheikh and put him on some sort of trial. This they did when they couldn't further take more pressures. He was transferred to Kaduna Prison along with those arrested with him. The charge when it came was rather ridiculous. That his offence was that he said, "there is no authority except that of Allah." This they claim is sedition. The trial commenced at the Federal High Court Kaduna. However, before long, it was clear that the government was not interested in the trial. They only wanted respite from the mounting pressure. The case was severally stalled, characterized by frequent change of prosecutors and judges as well as prolonged adjournments. The #FreeZakzaky campaigns intensified. Then, all of a sudden, the maximum dictator died in his hideout on Aso Rock. The new government was further pressured to release Sheikh and all those being detained. The UN had appointed a Human Rights rapporteur to Nigeria, who visited Sheikh Zakzaky in detention. Massive campaigns continued until one day, the judge trying the case, who had been transferred to one of the southern states to stall the Zakzaky case was called back to Kaduna. At that emergency sitting of the court, the prosecution withdrew their charges, and the court dismissed the case and set Sheikh Zakzaky free after a total of twenty seven months.

_In subsequent write-ups, we will discuss how Sheikh Zakzaky was welcomed back into the community, how others detained were freed and finally compare this current genocide with the clampdown by Gen Abacha and draw our lessons._

PoliticsUndisputable Facts About Buhari's Useless Administration by Elbinawi(op): 2:20pm On Sep 12, 2017
Undisputable facts about Buhari's useless administration

By Sani Bello

Buhari has to take responsibility, he is the leader. Nobody forced him to contest for presidency promising us change.

Truly Nigerians voted for change, not religion. Why would Buhari be complaining about past administration? Didn't he knew the state of the country before saying he wanna change?

Surely that President is useless who cannot improve the standard of living or reduce the cost of living in an economy. Instead we are witnessing a change for the worst.

Nigerians are suffering like never before, the masses are hungry, ASUU and Resident Doctors are on strike while Buhari is less concerned because he's eating free food in Aso villa, his children schools abroad and travels overseas for medical attention. Two years strike won't affect him and his family.

Buhari promised to end Boko haram in few months, this is his 3rd year in office and boko haram is still bombing and killing innocent people in the north-east. The Army Chief 40 days to capture Shekau elapsed and Shekau is still killing people. They lie shamelessly.

Buhari is more concerned about killing defenseless IPOB peaceful Agitators and peaceful Shiites who have never killed anybody than ending murderous Boko Haram that have killed thousands of Nigerians. Instead of protecting our lives as the chief security officer of our country, his delight is in spilling our blood unjustly...

And yet there are stunt unreasonable Buhari supporters who despite suffering from all the aforementioned, are still singing praises and support for this clueless confused wicked irresponsible bloodthirsty satanic government.

Like what one of my friend said, "Such pathetic people exist all over Africa either out of ethnicity, religious or plain stupidity...."

As Bob Marley put it:

"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, non but ourselves can free our minds..."

"Truly how can you persevere the prangs of poverty and unjust bloodshed just because the cause of those problems is one you love out of stupidityhuh?"

Sheikh Zakzaky was arrested unjustly, detain illegally and was declared innocent and released by federal high court since December last year but Buhari's big Boss SATAN has not given Buhari the go-ahead to release Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife.
