Officialgarri: Moghalu is still praising that failed government? Not all of us suffer dementia and not all of us were so young not to tell black from white.
First, dollar wasn't stabled at $150.. It crossed to over $200+. And most importantly is the fact that it ess your boss, Sanusi, that publicly exposed the heinous corruption that the FG of then were using CBN to carry out.
Moghalu should sit back and hope for a governorship seat. All these pathetic stories and pseudo solution can only appease the wailers but it won't earn him a presidential ticket with a notable party.
Modified Stupidity and and hypocrisy is when you choose Jonathan's $150 official rate to compare $570 black market under Buhari Did you see the dates they were in office? They left in 2009. He's talking about the Central Bank and not the government. Sometimes wear the cap of logic and reasoning. When investors can have access to their funds whenever they want, it increases investments. I can tell you have no business with exchange rates. I will happily pay even 250 to a dollar right now. Do you know how many people had to leave school or close their businesses because of the hike? When we compare a bad government with another bad government I wonder how we will make way. |

enonche85: I'm not saying hospitals don't cheat, some of them do. Hygeia are very fond of denying payments for treatments given to their enrollees. Let me give you an example from when I was working in a hospital. A patient was on admission for like 3 days, on each of those days he was given a medication as per the dosage and treatment plan after which he recovered and was discharged. Now the bill was compiled, the patient signed and was discharged. The bill was now sent to Hygeia for payment only for them to say why was the patient given that medication for 3 days and not 2?, hence they refused paying for the 3rd dosage. So who will pay for the 3rd dosage?. It's called medical necessity. A lot of times hospitals I beyond the medically necessary treatment. An enrolee signing isn't a thing. I will call a reputable organization that were defrauding HMOs in conjunction with hospitals. For respect reasons, I won't call the organization. Treating someone isn't good enough but with necessity. The idea of insurance is that it should be the nearest minimum quality treatment as it is so anywhere in the world. How much premium do these companies pay? Hardly ever up to 100k per year per person. From my research Hygeia as a company pays an average of 700M per month to hospitals. That informed more strict measures where you will see a good percentage of claims was not even done. Some will even want refunds for cosmetic things which insurance will never cover. |

Lol.. Jim Ovia has B.Sc. degree in Business Administration from Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA and not Auchi Poly. It's was Tony Elumelu that went to Ambrose Ali University (note that Ambrose Ali of the 80s had a very high educational standard, thanks to the man it was named after) but even Tony elemelu still went and got a Master's from Unilag and he hardly identifies as someone who went to AAU. My indices is the fact that when you look at this schools which I listed, it has and known to produce some of the smartest people in nigeria, if you even look at tech start-ups as an example that have gone national in the past 10years they usually come from this universities. Plus have you noticed that in top universities in the south you hardly see any northerner....most abokis won't cope in a school like oau, one year in Whitehouse and they'd drop out. We also have people like Indimi who though not formally educated learnt to read, write and speak and is today a billionaire with plenty top rated university graduates working for him and his family |
Politics › Re: Which Is The Best HMO In Nigeria? by elbulk(m): 7:58pm On Sep 18, 2021 |
enonche85: I don't know how that is done with the kind of EMR I have seen because the doctor documents every visit of a patient while the patient is still in the consulting room. The EMR is programmed to print out diagnosis and treatment plan for the patient to confirm and sign before leaving. When requesting for approval on the Hygeia portal, u enter diagnosis and treatment plan and then you get approval or denial there and then while the patient is still around. If approved, the billing unit prints their own copy and send to Hygeia it is at this moment they refuse paying for what they had previously approved.
What most of these HMOs tell their enrollees is totally different from the agreement they have with the hospital's, this is where most of the problem comes in. Now let me explain, EMR is used locally by the hospital and the HMO has no access to it, what they have access to are case notes and what the hospitals put on the portal. Now they refuse some payments because of inconsistencies where hospitals go for more expensive tests where not needed or giving expensive drugs where there are cheaper options as agreed in the contract. They do not send any copy to the HMO but they upload on the portal. A hospital has requested for treatment with my name and I didn't even go to the hospital, another time they added treatments they didn't do for me. Thanks to the app I saw it there and complained. I know 2 other people this happened to. The HMO signs an agreement with the hospitals and with the enrollees and nothing is verbal, thing is in Nigeria we do not read contracts but we just sign and when enforcement is carried out we cry foul. I will show you a reputable organization that connived with hospitals to claim they treated them and then share the proceeds with the hospitals. I don't talk on assumption but data, it took me a while to come to my conclusions |

Dude what country are you in? When Jim Ovia stop being the MD/CEO of Zenith Bank? Kindly google Ebenezer Onyeagwu. And I ask you that didn't drop out where are you now? How many southerners do you see in northern universities pls? its simple statistics, people in a region mostly school there. If you've stayed in the middle belt then you will know that not every northerner is an "aboki" which by the way means "friend" in hausa. The richest black man is an "aboki" who by the way has a degree in business from a university in Egypt. You call Tony Elumelu who the least of achievements is going to Unilag. He is a smart man that has worked n himself. From your statistics, everyone from your super schools should be the ones we hear about every day. We have other "abokis" like Dantata, Abdulsamad Rabiu (BUA Group) who went to capital University in the US. Most of these schools you mentioned (govt owned) run on past glory as facilities and curriculums are outdated. Also, ratings differ on different indices. You've has years where the best student in law school was from AAU and also Benue state University. This is not a north and south argument for me, all I'm saying is where you went to school isn't all that counts, what you do with your life is what matters. However, if this rating makes you feel good for obvious reasons, by all means enjoy. |

Babastrong: If the competition for a job is too stiff, the employer may decide to use your university or qualification as a criteria. for example, when my elder brother finished his program in OAU(obafemi awolowo uni), an opportunity presents itself and he applied. he said almost 1000 graduates applied for the job. The employer conducted an exam for them and only 200 of them passed the exam. a month after, the qualified applicants(200) went for second test. On getting to the venue, the employer just told them this: if you're finished from state universities or you have anything less than 2.1, pls go home. At this point, the applicants remained 52 as i was told by my brother. They then conducted another exam for the remaining 52 applicants, of which only 2 of them were employed. My brother and a lady. Must e an insecticide sales job. This story must've been from 1982. I've been working for more than 10 years and serious employers seek skill. Wen a KPMG says they want a 2:1 that's the criteria regardless of school attended. |

enonche85: Hospitals make use of electronic medical records EMR software now which make it impossible to cheat because every treatment statement is printed out, the patients goes through it and signs before leaving the hospital premises.
Hygeia rejects as little as folic acid for pregnant women!! EMR doesn't stop fraud. Hospitals often give out drugs not needed. This has happened to me. They treated me for something but n the portal they uploaded additional tests. With Hygeia there is a robust online portal where even you can check what you've been treated for and then contest when what is it is false. So they don't work with the hospital EMR but what the hospitals load on the portal, some even check in people who didn't come. So they can show the patient one thing but upload another on the portal. |

AreaGovo: Greetings to you all. Let's have a small family meeting.
Based on my course of study, I have mapped out plans and strategies (blueprint) on setting up my firm where I'll do my private practice once I'm stable economically. By God's grace, in the future, I see government and even private firms coming to seek my services as a technocrat cum consultant in that field. But my woman (fiancée) is saying those who didn't serve and receive NYSC discharged are not regarded as graduates even though they've exemption letter citing discrimination and even example coming from her uncle of how people were disqualified from appointment for not having NYSC discharged. Please how true is that submission of hers? Does such discrimination actually exist in government and private organizations?
Below are my reasons for not desiring to serve. First, I'm above 30. Second, not really freak about the NYSC of thing. Third, at the moment, I'm unemployed but applicant. Fourth, I don't want to waste another one year when I should be hunting "cool cash" instead of 33k. Fifth, even if I want to start going back to do all those age forgery stuff and the rest, like I said, a jobless/applicant like me can't boast of 70k (or even more) to start running all those stuff but she's hell bent I serve. Is NYSC really such a big deal?
What advice do you have to offer? I'll appreciate. Don't waste your time.its the same thing. Jobs say Nysc discharge/exemption/exclussion. I never served and I able always worked |

I am currently in my second year studying a five years course in a federal university, I have no interest in what I am studying, I got good grades tho. Just doing it because that is what my parents want me to do. I have no passion for it, oftentimes I feel I am just wasting my time in school.
I love programming and would love to drop out of uni to focus on it and give my all to it. Seeing a lot of graduates living from hand to mouth, struggling to earn a living is truly not encouraging.
