Delusion is the Hallmark of an Arsenal fan Jens Lehmann, Eboue, Ashley Cole, Kolo, Campbell, Gilberto, Fabregas, Pires, Henry, Ljunberg Count how many youngsters are in that team. Only Fab was below 20.Bruv, get my statement before you start attacking me, I said AW took a team to the final and you're coming to give me the teamlist of the final match. Is this the team that beat Juve, Madrid and Villareal? Roy Keane missed the UCL final in 1999, but who is acknoledged to be the main backbone of that team? If u're going to delve into our business, get your facts right first. Don't just start biting lines from scummers. The experienced players only came back when we reached the semis. Arsenal V Juve Lehmann, Eboue, Toure, Senderos, Flamini, Hleb, Silva, Fabregas, Pires, Henry, Reyes (Van Persie 82). Subs Not Used: Almunia, Diaby, Bergkamp, Song Billong, Walcott, Djourou. Arsenal V Real Madrid Lehmann, Eboue, Toure, Senderos, Flamini, Ljungberg, Hleb (Pires 76), Silva, Fabregas (Song Billong 90), Reyes (Diaby 80), Henry. P.S I was using the word 'youngsters' to represent green and inexperienced. When Eboue played Juve he had only had bout three league matches. The whole of Europe knows that, so watchu saying? |

ayusman16:Hmmn, I see were you're coming from. That you did not start supporting Arsenal because of the trophies. Yeah, but you gotta ask yourself one question, why do we have more fans than the small teams? Cus we've won more trophies, simple. First let me explain this to you. . .my 17year old cousin has never seen Tottenham lifting any trophy since he started supporting them. But he's a die-hard spurd too, why? He has heard of their trophy winning past, he has hope that their glory-era will come back. There were many Fulham fans where I used to live before, the hope that; one day they'll win sumn. When I ask them if they have a history, they come at me saying they won the Intertoto Cup. That's their own level, but it's still a trophy. Even Wellings FC will tell you about East London Cup Winners' Cup. ![]() Cosidering the fact that they were born and raised there and how their fathers watched the teams grow, it's something. The fact that Nigeria will not win the world cup in the next 50years does not stop me from supporting the Super Eagles. Our own level is the ACN and I'm satisfied. Ask a Zimbabwean, he'll tell you they once won the COSAFA Cup. Football is about winning. That's why it's a sport. Ever wondered why you loved your school team so much? ![]() Even for a five year old kid playing Pro-evo, it's still about winning ![]() |
Chacal:I knew that but I guess I was looking at the good part of all that. If the players get to play together week-in, week-out, they get to form a stronger bond. That's what Liverfluke don't have. There was a time I heard on Sky News that Rafa did not consecutively repeat a team for 99 matches. Players need to play to stay fit, and understand each other. Guess that's the part Wenger viewed it from. Our problem started when we began to play all the cups with the same team. |
@chacal What hangover? Remember I've still got some quids on the trophy? I've already started fasting and praying for us to win the league no matter what happens. Even if it's just a small change i dropped, why should I be making them richer? ![]() |
First of all, I have to say the Chelsea loss should not be seen as just one match. Gone was the Hleb that used to run at every defender and get injured every two weeks. Gone was the Adebayor that would keep running around in the box-18 to get the defenders busy, even if he knew he wasn't going to score. The whole team was obviously stressed out. Like we needed our own special transfer window. Our freeflowing football was now an effort to mask the tiredness with Fabregas preferring to do the long passes rather than his famous one-two's. After that match, all I could say was, this is where we need a Henry, a Berbatov, or maybe a Ballack. This is where the one moment of brilliance counts. Like that cross from Pires to Ade's forehead. Fine AW took a team of youngsters to the UCL Final, but remember we had Henry, Pires, Campbell, Cashley and the old Gilberto in that team. That's when we could score one and then grind through the rest of the match. When substitutions used to mean something. Not just one player running lost in gameplay. AW needs to remember that like the unbeaten season, this is a league, you need two potential first teams to win. Every player in a 'Big Four' team has a his replacement, that's there praying he gets injured. Just imagine if Fabregas gets injured now. . .hmmn Compared to scummers' Divino, that has Giggs, Nani and J.S Park that can hold their own, maybe not as good but still manageable. In my own opinion, what Wenger needs is a Sports Director, like how Chelski got Grant. Sumone to make him realise that he needs to go all out for every winnable trophy. That he can't lose 5-1 to our rivals even in the reserve league. ![]() Football has changed since 2005, money rules the league now. Torres is a goose that lays golden eggs, that's why Liverpool killed to get him. Tevez was fought for in and out of court, why? He's proven his worth elsewhere. Big teams buy big players and leave the player discovery to their under18's and reserve team coaches. The young ones then have to break into the team. That's what makes biographies interesting. ![]() Even Fergie knows that he can't discover a class of '93 again, like Abrahimovich and Hicks will let under23 take the trophy. Even though I still believe that there's still a possibility of us winning the EPL, I'll still say all these should be corrected ASAP. The boys did a great job taking us this far, they need to get their act together and steal the trophy for us. They might never get this close to the trophy in the remaining years of their careers. |
ayusman16:lol. . .just imagine AW saying, 'we just lost only the premiership, i never said i was the messaiah, did i?' ![]() |
It's not u, it's me It's not me, it's you It's not me or you, it's the society, the white man, the enviroment, my dead grandmother, the whole world is against us ![]() |
