It all went well today. Thank God for His grace.

Interview transcript
Arrived at the embassy by 5:40am ,decided to chill and relax till 6:30am, at least I know say I come quick. Guys at the park quickly rush me for business, but unfortunately na bad market i be, Lol.

Met Mr paulinus at his usual routine, almost took the urine out of one guy after shouting at him. I just pity the guy and gave him signals to calm down. Me I dey ready for am, so no shaking.

Was ushered in for security checks, and was asked to wait at the seats close to the security checks, neither did I knew they arranged a VIP visa interview for me, Lol. I signalled the security guards that am still waiting and others are being sent inside the consulate building. But he said I should wait when it's time I will be ushered in.

It was time, I was given signal to go in. I met a calm looking lady at the visa room one, she was not smiling ooo, but I have to force smile out of her face after my interview.

My questions were more of personal questions as she noticed I have been there before now. No much hassles. But was just making emphasis on me funding on time.

The questions goes thus

What are you going for, msc or bsc?
Which school and what course
What is your bsc course, and what year did you graduate
What have you been doing
What's the relationship between your bsc and your proposed masters
Are you married?
Your bsc thesis?

All personal questions like I earlier mentioned. Even if you wake me up ten times, I go tell you without stress.

The only question that doesn't relate to me is this

Tell me what you know about Germany, na she even stop me cos talk go plenty.
What are you going to do after studying?

That's all for now. She now asked any question for me. I was like shebi you no want laugh abi, you go laugh by force. Now I asked her what does the embassy have for me, she was like what do you mean, I told her on a lighter note, my birthday is coming up three days from now so I asked again what does the embassy have for me, any gifts or surprise package, she have to force out laughter from her face unknowingly and said I should please go as I have no serious question for her.

My people na so I take go oooo. Just went to catch my fun jare.

Refuse to do the needful ke? I’m not a novice here and I’m not a bro. What questions did I ask that have been answered? Did you even bother to check? I know no one is under any obligation to reply me, and you don’t always have to reply someone as if you’re scolding the person. No one is quarreling with you, your reply doesn’t have to be harsh. So now someone can’t speak his/her mind without you giving a negative reply. I love this Forum and I’ve gotten my answer sha
Sorry about that, but your comment is not encouraging for an old timer, so much entitlement and it is very very annoying, which of course will definitely get a reciprocal response.

Sorry I sounded harsh and sorry I mistook you for a bro and I never intend to quarrel with anyone here despite all. Anyway am coming with a bottle of wine, hope you will prepare something sumptuous for the weekend. Lol

Good morning, please I saw it in FAU(Friedrich alexandra uni) brochure that applications for Masters in international business studies closes on 31st May 2019,I want to ask if documents could still be submitted till 15th July. Thanks as you respond to this.
I would suggest you send a polite mail to the programme coordinator stating your interest in the course and requesting to be given an extension to the deadline even though the deadline is past. You never can tell, anything is just possible. I have once received such favors before now. So just send them a mail. All the very best.

Hi everyone,

Abeg. From past experiences, what airlines are the best to fly in winter Sept/Oct considering cost, safety, comfort, and time. And what's it like flying any of these airlines?

Danke.
Baba e don reach to fly for your side?? Anyway from past experience like you earlier mentioned, let me X-ray the available airlines to the best of my knowledge. But take note it doesn't reflect the current situation.

Emirates: Gave students discount, but it was only made available for flights to Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. Long stop over hours as usual, but learnt the experience was cool.

Turkish airline: Gave discounts as well and was available for almost all international airport destination in Germany ie Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf, etc. Their fares are much more better than emirates and the experience was also good. Long stop over hours too

Ethiopian airlines : I can't remember seeing any discount from them, but their fares are also good and competitive and the experience as well.

Air maroc : More like direct flights, very short stop over time, fares are also very good, but I can't say about their experience.

Egypt Air : I learnt of recent they are very good in terms of cost more especially, good experience during the stop overs but something about officials sniffing in drugs in people's bags (sorry am not sure about this) of recent was actually disturbing.

Edo airways : Your guess is as good as mine, Lol..... Just follow osaro and ahigbe, then you are good to go. Hahahaha

NB: Flights are much more cheaper during the weekdays than weekends, and also during off season.

I am of the opinion we should approach this top class airlines and demand for a student discount when the time sets in, as a good number of peeps will be traveling for winter semester. My opinion sha

You need not be bro, a good number of the questions you ask have been most times answered here over and over again. But since you refused to do the needful, no one is mandated to do otherwise for you. Nobody is under any obligation to answer your questions here as we can't remember being on your payroll. When people notice you don't want to do the needful, they simply ignore.

Good day. What transcript need to be sent to universities for application. Students (hand copy) or directly from the Nigerian university to them.
You send the photocopies of your original transcript, but it must be certified either by high court, notary public, embassy etc, this is dependent on the school's instruction. Different schools have different specification as regards transcript issues.

NB : You have to find a way to send your transcript to another school close to you through a HOD of a department, to enable you hand pick it there as its most likely your school will not give it to you directly.

Hi. Please how do I go about getting the waiver?
Send a polite mail to your program coordinator stating you would like to be given a consideration as regards the waiver considering financial challenges in relation to our economy.

Let him know other schools in Baden wurttemberg are given considerations to students from LCD and ACP countries of which we are part of it. At least for now I know of tubingen and university of applied science Stuttgart.

For we in Karlsruhe, we have done same and our program coordinator has taken it up to the school authorities. We are expecting a positive response in no distant time.

All the very best.

NB : Less I forget, if you possibly can attach the document (Baden wurttemberg state law on education) where it was clearly stated. For the schools that gave such waivers, navigate to the English masters program for geoinformatics, you will see it clearly stated on their website. So you can also make reference to it. Germans like you to give them proofs of whatever you are seeking for.

So, a friend contacted the embassy to ask them if category A can be booked for bsc holders applying for another bsc in Germany. Let me drop this here. Please see response below:
Many thanks for sharing. This is what I was referring to yesterday, bsc degrees with 2.1 or 2.2 applying for a second bsc can book for category A, not HND as was the case we saw yesterday. This information will go a long way to pacify the fears in many of our bsc applicants. Once again thanks.

I don't know the next step to take after admission. I don't know where to start from. Which comes first, opening of block account, notarizing my certificates, paying for my semester fees or applying for visa. Thank you
*Open a block account as soon as possible. There are about four financial institutions approved by the embassy. But pls avoid Deutsch Bank like a plague, unless you want cancel your Waka this year. Their bureaucracy is so annoying. Fintiba has been fun and lovely and happens to be most appreciated for a good number of us. Everything done online and no negative reviews about them since inception. Xpatrio is online too, but we have gotten some negative reviews about them as regards third party issues. And it's even a bit expensive than fintiba on the long run. Coracle just came in new into the fold. No much reviews so far, can't say about their effectiveness if any.

NB : Please note am not a marketer for any of this banks, before you mistake me for doing a marketing campaign. I am just spilling out the beans, cos I know you definitely need to make informed decisions.

* Fund your account immediately with €8640 (Bank charges exclusive) if you have the money available. If not, you can still go to the interview without funding. But make sure you fund your account.

* There's no need for notarization of documents at this stage. All you need do is to photocopy originals of the documents on the checklist for student visa application. Make sure you bring along with you both the original copy and the photocopies as specified on the checklist. You will drop both the originals and photocopies for them of which your originals will be returned back to you when you come to collect your visa.

*You need to book for student visa appointment as soon as possible to enable you get a date for the interview. If you have got a first class or second class upper or lower in your bachelors, together with a masters degree admission, then book for category A. Every information you need to enable you do this is on the German embassy website. If you are confused about anything there, feel free to ask for guidance here, people are always available and ever willing to help.

* Prepare for your interview very well by reading through other people's experience here. You can get examples of such here made available by some kind hearted folks. Hope you will be kind enough to share your experience too for others to benefit after you are done.

* After the interview, if successful, of which you will definitely be at least to a large extent, the consulate sends you what we call Approval mail (AM). They will demand for your travel insurance and your passport for stamping.

* I don't think you need to pay for semester fees from here unless otherwise stated by the school. A good number of schools allow you to come in first and during your registration, you then pay for it. But if your school demands you pay before coming in, they will probably give you instructions as regards how best you can go about it.

Feel free to ask questions here whenever you get confused, but please and please do some little research first, Google should be your friend now, not instagram, twitter or facebook. Please don't come here feeling entitled or expecting to be spoon fed, you will definitely get a doze of lashing if you fail to do the needful no matter what. We always recommend you read through this thread for your own benefit. A lot of tangible information are domiciled here free of charge.

Chai, I don write sermon again ooooo, na wa oooo, just to explain something, two fool scap sheets don finish, Lol. Anyway If I decide to summarize, I think it would not help you to a large extent since you are basically new, as I will be removing so much vital details which will benefit you and others as well.
