Doctorfitz: Oh thanks bro. Pls any extra tips I'd appreciate TOEFL is kinda straight forward. Just follow the template of the YouTube video. It works wonders. Be confident and sound like a boss on the mic. Package your accent Use the softwares and simulate the exam process and you should be fine. Learn to read fast though.... And yes that day , be prepared for distractions from other rapping on their mics concentration is crucial. That's about it. |

iekene: Please what engineering course what you advise me to do, that would have a high job prospect after grad.. cos my family is giving everything for me on this masters program Dude Computer Science and Elect Elect are hot enough!! Do your research. You already have EE background so you are good to go. Nigeria is not like Yankee.... Just know your onions and companies would come looking for you. You should be asking of the prerequisite skills you need to build before you kickstart your MSc in EE or CS Sir. Like coding maths etc. I have not secured any admit yet from what men are saying here, I have started brushing my coding skills small small plus reading papers. You see as old men dey rake for the pressure of MSc. EE/CS grads earn well but that depends on ur ability to stay strong and focused. Check the salary of entry level engineers in CS/EE from 65000 to 110000 (depending on your skills and the company) Compare that to other non STEM courses and you would see the light. |

Mayflowa: I am sorry if you were hurt by my statement. Because you needed someone to studied with, I was wishing if you were with the TWU's girl, you guys would have made a reading partners. Somehow, you even knew her. Your saying she can't face a certain level mathematics was not even fair to her. All courses have more or less same challenges- Mathematics, Medicine, Mechanical engineering up to Music.
We have been here night and day advising people on GRE, admission and Visa which you have benefited from just like we got some time past. So a another advise on reading hard after you have complained using YouTube flared you that up!
I have done most of your Mathematics courses bro including your real analysis. Yes it is hard but not killing. You can even enjoy it if you know the trick. I do apply your mathematics in real life in my work as a Doctoral Mechanical Engineering student.
For example I designed and built this robot from scratch including manufacturing the materials in one course. I can't tell you the interdisciplinary knowledge I drew upon including mathematics, programming and control. So I know the challenge we all face but I was motivating you that Nairalanders ought to be at the top because we know who we are. LoL bro u never see maths obviously .... No offence meant. Mech na learner naaaa... I build robots too bro Kinematics na moi moi et al. If I send you just one control course slide you go believe. If you have entered small modern and traditional control honestly u go change course.. LoL Only Russians dey comfortable with does kin ish.... Ugly and boring...Math. Calculus easy by force. But utry for that robot at least the ultrasonic sensor dey well positioned |

Here for Yankee, you must know it, not that you will cram to pass. i have professors here that will give you questions you never see before in the exams and you know what that means in abstract courses.. above all, our background for nigeria is not strong in abstract courses. We just cram to pass those courses as pa say our lecturer self no know am. akins2016: I don't even know how to categorize your level of thinking about mathematics. you think mathematics is all about calculation right ? Get close to a pure and/ or an applied mathematician, ensure you look through their notes or you can simply google stuffs on it. you dey here dey talk like something i don't even know. Natural skill ko mammi water skill ni. I will try my best not to insult you. Try to show a matured person your posts and see what they think of it. That one self they talk matured reply SMH for you both. It's hard but we were able to survive it with good grade shikenna My BLOTHER!!! I feel you pain man!!! The small control maths in MSc I did in Nigeria here self body tell me!! . so I decided to mail a prof in Yankee to help out with some materials to easy the pain. Mehnnn what the man sent to me no be here ohhhh. You need like a year to finish the books not to talk of understanding the terminologies and symbols. I cram tire to manage score 57! OAU na Die!!!
