Please i need an urgent help here...i am applying for phd program in about 5 schools, and as you know, i will need to attach my transcripts in the online applications, i had my MSc from Unilag, and now they are refusing to send me a copy, saying they only send to institutions and organizations...
i humbly need an way out from those of you that has gone through this process on what to do ASAP.
Thanks in anticipation. Guy go to your HOD and request for an unofficial transcript of score report of you MSc courses showing grade, score and address for each school. You supervisor and HOD can sign with a stamp to make it original simple. Ask the Secretary of your department to produce it for you. Best of Luck.. |

OGreene: Hello. I have some questions
I have the 3 schools i want to apply to...but yet to write GRE first week of December. Should I apply to the schools now and the exam score is sent to them later?
Or should I wait till December to write the exam and submit my applications that week?
Will December be late seeing that am hoping to get food funding. Since your GRE is in December, I advise that you just chill till you write the exam. Also you could use this opportunity to finish up on your SOP and LORs (yet to do mine self). Do some research on your schools and know their funding pattern. Some schools don't issue funding till after the deadline, while others have a rolling or first come first serve approach. Then get other schools that are really safe with decent funding chances just in case your GRE is score is not what you expected (God forbid). Now just mail profs in your research niche and ask them nicely in a really brief mail if they ate accepting students. Also mail the graduate corotdinator of those schools and make queries on funding. I have mailed like 30 Profs with little response but I am not giving up. |

lummydunmi: hello house.....AM NEW HERE AND I WOULD YOU GUYS TO SORT ME OUT ON MY MAJOR QUESTIONS PLEASE... I read through the few pages and i was blessed i did.
1) i have 4.0/5 in my first degree and i wanna ask if its a good base to get scholarship, funding (GA)...and what are other requirements needed and if its test scores of both TOEFL and GRE.. What should be aiming for scores.....Thank you so much
2) if am to pay 20,000usdollars for my graduate program. is the payment due for renewal just for a year or 20,000usdollars for the duration of the whole programme. Thanks....God will honour you all Your GPA is a good starting point.l Now you need good GRE ($205) scores to boost your profile. Try and write TOEFL ($180) if you can afford it. Application fees budget $200 Transcript issues N10,000 depends on your school. GA is possible but the school to apply to is the real matter Search this thread well for GA offered to In house peeps and use it to select schools. Its a good starting point. Use Google to search. Create a list then start narrowing down your options. (Not easy bro I tell you) For question 2 , $20000 shld clear a two year tuition in an affordable school. Especially those that offer instate tuition. Like in Texas. My 2kobo bro best if luck. |

tolutweety: Getting closer.
This is the time to really sit down with this thread and read the pages...
Pls All ... Admission granted into University of Louisiana AND Tennessee State University. Which of the two should I go ? and kindly state your reasons.
cc: walspring,msnas,sirriddy,Lagosismyhome,... We are not clairvoyant bro! Choosing a school has a whole lot of factors to consider. Like 1. Did any of the school offer you funding? 2. Do their research interest align with yours? 3.A u bouyant enough to pay the tuition fees? 4. Can you handle he weather ? 5.Are you concerned about the school Ranking? Etc etc If iu can answer all his questions you could even fish out he school yourself My 2cents.. |

slimmy2005: Most Schools sure do have payment plans. They don't expect you to pay all those lump sum. But in all, you are required to pay the whole semester fee within 3months. Don't put ourself under unnecessary pressure. Find school that atleast give some sort of funding. Gbam! My direction....no funding no Yankee #fall 2017 |

fredoricko: Thanks for your advice. It's appreciated. "Funding is scarce " That means there is a shot at it. So it wouldn't hurt to try, would it?? Its a private school the $3000 scholarship is nothing compared to what you would pay at the school. So if you plan on going there at least have cash for one semester. Else, don't waste application fees bro... Best of luck |

maridrug: fellow NL, I just got to this thread. I'm keen to getting out to the USA, was once denied F1 in 2013. to Tiffin university OH. got 3.17/5.0 cgpa in accounting. I am seeking for a guide to assist. If you post your previous visa interview transcript, PeePs in the house would help you analyse t and know how to help out. Secondly. Have you written GRE and TOEFL? Can you afford WES evaluation? What term are you applying for? You need to try and get GA if possible Or get some form of tuition waiver. Its makes your application look good. Search for schools that easily waive out of state tuition. |

sholemania: Hello House,
I have HND in Office Technology and Management with 3.65/4.0 and BSc in Bus Admin, with 3.8/5.0, targeting fall 2017 and currently dealing GRE and TOEFL. With the above, what is my chance of getting admitted for MSc. in Management information system?
Most importantly, can I have suggestions for universities with average or low tuition for MIS especially in areas with average jobs to help in tuition finance?
I've making online research but just need professional advise here. best regards Do a WES evaluation and your credentials would be transformed to a Graduate template. SomeOne did it here. And got into southern Georgia university. But got funding when he arrived at the school.. Best of luck |
