so speaking against the recent backward development in Anambra means I am happy?

Your people would be the first to call Lagos a Shithole but they would not be available to say the same thing whenever things like this happen in your region

Eastlink:
The problem with most Yoruba's is the militant fascination you have for the Olukumi people of Delta north. Yes, its obvious that the Olukumi clan still retain some linguistical links similar to the Yoruboid language, however the truth remains that this people are now fully part of the Igbo nation in the past, present and in the future.
Don't forget that centuries have long passed, generations have come and gone when the Olukumi's long sojourned to their current abode. How on earth will a rational human being begin to start running amok on Wikipedia, sponsoring online propaganda in the cyberspace to now want them to turn around and become Yoruba overnight?
It's similar to the Nupes of Oyo who are now fully Yoruba's and no longer Nupe. Same goes for the Akoko's in Ondo, who are now Yoruba and no longer Edo. Same goes for the Eko people in Lagos who are are Aworis and no longer Edos. And same goes for the Igbo's in Bonny who are now Ijaws and no longer Igbo's.
You guys don't know the problems you are fanning amongst the Olukumi's in Aniocha North LGA. Do you know the distance that seperates them from the South West? Do you know the cultural and traditional affiliations that unites them with Ndigbo? Do you know the emotional affiliation of the Biafran war, the post civil war marginalization, and political cum economic survival of Ndigbo of which they are part of? Maybe you don't understand.
Do you know the centuries of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence that binds them with Ndigbo to the extent that we now tag their clan as the Olukumi clan of the Igbo people. Note, Igbo people and not Yoruba people.
Don't be surprised that Ndigbo see the manner at which some of you (both press and individual groups) are trying so hard to ginger them to begin a cultural revolution that may in time if foolishly not discontinued may lead to mistrust and send them evicted to your beloved embrace in the south west. But such acts, we shall never do, and so we expect you to accept them for who they are now and not what they were 400 centuries ago.
You Yoruba nationalist should stop fanning the embers of division amongst us and our brothers the Olukumi's, because what makes us Igbo is stronger than what doesn't connect. It is actually not a big deal to marvel at the preservation of some retained Olukumi Yoruboid dialect, but you should also know that they are now, Igbos and even have an Olukumi dialect of the Igbo language too. The Olukumi you think is Yoruba is only a few preserved word, which is fully Igbo in sentence and structure. You guys should be guided.
All what you wrote is full of gibberish and absolute fallacy

Nupe now Yoruba? grin

Olukumi people are Yoruba cry harder

PoliticsInsecurity: Youths Protest In Ibadan, Warn Buhari Of Interethnic Conflict by Elemosho478(op): 9:59am On Jul 28, 2019
Scores of youths on Saturday protested the insecurity in the South-West and warned President Muhammadu Buhari of imminent interethnic wars.

The youth from three different socio-cultural groups: South-West Youth Movement, Yoruba Koya Initiative and Arewa Youth Movement, called on the President to give marching orders to security agencies to arrest the ugly trend in the zone.

The youth, after a peaceful demonstration, addressed journalists and said they had begun consultations with people in the local communities of the region to educate them on the need to collaborate with security operatives to tackle the challenges from bottom-up.

Speaking on the rationale behind the call on President Buhari to beef up security, the Convener and President, SYM, Temitope Ogunlade, explained that the working relationship between the three groups was to ensure that the security challenges in the region did not turn into a tribal or religious affair against any particular group.

He added that government at all levels starting from the Presidency must, however, give a clear direction as to how the issue would be tackled headlong.

On the inclusion of youths in the cabinet, the SYM leader said the conference was a reminder to the President to fulfil his campaign promise to the youth in terms of political inclusion and job/employment opportunities in his second term.

The meeting was attended by delegates from the six South-West states including Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Lagos and Ekiti.

Ogunlade said, “Security is a collective responsibility and we all have to encourage the government with our prayers. The government needs to do more by ensuring balance and support for groups in the areas of security because it is obvious that the region is not safe anymore.

“Our groups believe in peace. We are for peace and not violence. We have discovered that some people hide under the pretext of Fulani herdsmen to perpetrate evil and we are ready to nab them provided the government gives the required support.

“We are already meeting traditional rulers and various ethnic groups in the region as part of our efforts at bringing lasting solutions to the issues of insecurity in the South-West region. Consultation is ongoing with people at the grassroots on how to nip it in the bud.

“On ministerial appointments, we can only appeal to President Buhari to give the youth better attention. The youth of the South-West and the other regions as well have not been carried along fully. And this is why we have come to remind Buhari to remember the youth in his cabinet so as to rekindle our hope again.

“We want to use this medium to remind our President of his promise to appoint youths in his cabinet, also to act fast on security issues and to provide job opportunities for the youth.”

CrimeArmy Arrests 10 Bandits, Recovers Firearms In Benue, Nasarawa by Elemosho478(op): 9:41am On Jul 28, 2019
Troops of the military spike operation, codenamed ‘Operation Whirl Stroke,’ have arrested 10 suspected bandits in Benue and Nasarawa states.

Parading eight of the suspects, alleged to be kidnappers, before journalists at the OPWS headquarters in Makurdi on Saturday, the force commander of the operation, Maj. Gen. Adeyemi Yekini, said that five were arrested in the Toto and Awe local government areas of Nasarawa State while five others were arrested in Benue State.

Yekini stated that one of the suspects was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire with troops at Zaki-Biam in the Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State while an AK-47 riffle was recovered from him.

He said three out of the four suspects arrested in the Zaki Biam areas of Benue State were allegedly linked with the wanted militia leader, Terwase Akwaza (aka Gana).

According to him, another suspect was nabbed in the Tomata area of the state with a locally made rifle fabricated to fire 5.56mm ammunition, a standard ammunition for assault rifles.

Yekini explained that the pistol was as deadly as any standard assault rifle.

The force commander said one suspect arrested in Awe was handed over to the police because he was linked to a kidnapping case in Nasarawa State.

In all, items recovered from the suspects included two locally fabricated pistols, a self-loading riffle, five locally made rifles, one AK-47 riffle, some quantities of ammunition, a Toyota Corolla and three phones.

Also speaking, the Sector Commander, Sector 3, Nasarawa State, Naval-Lt. Emmanuel Igwe, and his Ukum counterpart, Naval-Lt. Lawal Abubakar, noted that they carried out the operations following the directive by the force commander to deal decisively with bandits and kidnappers in their respective areas of operation.

PoliticsRuga Shouldn’t Operate In Non-fulani States – Ganduje by Elemosho478(op): 9:30am On Jul 28, 2019
Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Saturday said he was not happy with the manner in which Fulani are treated in the country.

He also said the Federal Government’s Ruga programme shouldn’t be implemented where indigenes are not Fulani.

On the suspended Ruga programme, he said it should be optional for states.

Ganduje said the initiative should not have been made by the Federal Government, rather states interested in the economic relevance of Fulani herdsmen.

The governor spoke while addressing journalists in Sokoto after attending the wedding of the son of a former governor of Kano State, Senator Kabiru Gaya.

He said, “I think the suspended programme was really misunderstood. Ruga is supposed to be for a state where Fulani reside; you cannot implement Ruga where the indigenes are not Fulani.

“The programme should be for those states that will cater for Fulani and the issue of herdsmen should be socio-economic in nature and not a socio-cultural.

“That is why in Kano State, we decided to develop a grazing area in form of Ruga where Fulani herdsmen will all live in one place and can be monitored.

“They will get other social services that are being provided for the people of Kano State, which include health, security and education. Not only that, their businesses would be improved upon so that their cattle can produce more nutritious milk for the people.”

Ganduje said there was no better way to resettle the Fulani herdsmen than practise Ruga system, instead of them migrating from one part of the country to another.

“Otherwise, Fulani will be suffering and the security problems will continue. I am not happy with the manner in which they are being treated in the country.

"At the same time I am not happy with the way they behave too, because of their lack of Education which is gradually graduating into banditry."
