MEEVEET: No route can make 20% of their running cost not to talk about being profitable
Those trains are just loan wasted on feel good projects Who says? So rail transportation has no benefit to the economy? Do you know the following: Rail enhances transportation and trade opportunities - Infrastructure development - Job creation - Industrialization - Regional development - It has less interruption on its route - It is beneficial to agriculture transportation - It is beneficial to the mining industry - For tourism, it makes great to see urban and rural areas, beauty and nature - It is beneficial in the manufacturing industry How else can African nations finance rail transportation, especially in the face of opening the transport sector? It is by loans. Do they make profit? Yes, but maybe not too much. Why are loans not repaid? Ask your leaders to stop stealing public funds. |

damosky12: It's ridiculous how you either twist the scripture to post a narrative that suits you or so ignorant of that God's word teaches.
That portion of scripture you quoted doesn't prove that God has a persona vendetta with wealthy people. Through scriptures, God had wealthy men.
Abraham, His friend, was wealthy. Jacob was wealthy. Joseph was wealthy. David was wealthy. Solomon was wealthy. Job was wealthy. Many many of God's people in the Old Testament were wealthy.
In the new testament, Joseph of Arimathea was wealthy. Erastus was wealthy. Barnabas was wealthy. Many in the early church were rich!
Abusing a Bible verse to push a silly narrative would not suffice.
You can't build a doctrine on just one single passage, more so one single phrase which is misunderstood...
Mark 10:17-25 [17]And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? [18]And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. [19]Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. [20]And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. [21]Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. [22]And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. [23]And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! [24] And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that TRUST IN RICHES to enter into the kingdom of God! [25]It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Apparently, the clarification here is what Mark supplies us. Jesus wasn't talking about the average rich man anywhere, but a rich man that trusts in His riches instead of trusting in God.
And that is a no-brainer. To trust in riches is to not trust in God. The Epistles also echo the same thought to rich Christians.
1 Timothy 6:17-18 [17]Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; [18]That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
God is not against wealth. Wealth is a useful tool for His work on earth OBVIOUSLY. What is against God is to allow money to take God's place. That's what Jesus and His Apostles addressed.

Two years already spent. Another five years for transition. Thereafter he can run in the elections to be supervised by himself, using the army and some gullible citizens. He recently increased salaries as a show of his “sincerity” and was applauded by the people.
The young man has already shown himself as a student of despotic African leaders. He has shown his ability to be the President for life. He has shown his intention to be reckoned among the sit tight leaders.
Africans need to wake up and demand proper leadership. Africans should no longer surrender their lives to such horrible leaders, whose only plan is to loot, kill and destroy. |

The man shamelessly talked of 24 years. So they knew that they wasted time and looted the state resources for 24 years, until LP came to power.
Unfortunately for PDP, Alex Otti and Labour Party are putting up very strong performances everywhere in the state. Sentimental comments will not remove LP from power in the state. Now we see a much better Ava and Umuahia. Developments are taking place in every part of the state. PDP can keep their apology to themselves. |

After the deposition of SLS, his bossom friend the late Herbert Wigwe, sent him a private jet to pick him and his family up and bring them to Lagos. They did not have to carry anything along. The late Wigwe provided them accomodation and comfort. SLS admitted this at the service of songs for Wigwe. Unfortunately Wigwe is not there to witness the return of his bossom friend. His own children will benefit in Kano, if they ever have any need and while SLS remains the Emir.
El Rufai pressed all the buttons that he could. He tried to get Ganduje to change his mind, but Ganduje was determined to remove the same man who was the trigger that removed PDP from power in Kano state.
Probably Bayern himself was a willing tool in the political game played by Ganduje. Unfortunately, he has been tagged “dethroned”. No man has monopoly of power for life.
If you feel like Putin, Lukashenko, Mugabe or other sit tight African leaders, one day God himself will remove you and you must account to him.
SLS is back in the position where he originally was, courtesy of good relationship with Kwakwanso. Who knows tomorrow. For now he enjoys the benefit of the relationship.
In life make good relationships. They are bridges to move you forward and to greater heights. |

The protesters are APC supporters, I assume.
When Ganduje dethroned and banished SLS the same day to Nassarawa, why did they not protest? Even those in Kano who wanted to make some noise, were controlled.
Ganduje tried to make mockery of the over 1000 years of Kano legacy by breaking the kingdom, because of politics. Why not blame Ganduje for the problem? |

vanitybutiwanti: it's not going to be an easy fight but the LGA Chairmen have resolved not to leave their councils, in fact they told wike to leave the fight to them, they are very capable, those guys campaigned for fubara in their respective LGAs, anybody that will be appointed CTC Chairman will not operate from the council and in the coming month, a higher court will throw out the judgement issued by the state high court. Wike himself can only scream for now. His hands are tied presently. Fubara controls everything. That’s business gone wrong between the two of them. The now 25 lawmakers are heavily disadvantaged. The law weighs heavily against them, as their defection is clearly against the constitution. It’s just a matter of time and the matter is laid to rest. The governor has completely sidelined them all, including the LG chairmen. Since there are no more political solutions, the LG chairmen, who are under the control of state governors, would have no say in the matter. For now we all wait and hear from the courts. |
