Franking:You may be referring to either the God you do not know or the one you will beg to know soon. |
LordBillionz:Mgbada is a befitting name for the man. He is not just an mgbada, na ezi ofia too. |
Namaster:Na money wey you no get dey suffer you so. |
Fitting description! |
Very sad. He knew practically everyone and everyone knew him. The manner of his death was a concern even to those who did not know him. May God strengthen his family. May helpers never turn their backs against them. |
Boogyman557:Very reckless, childish, stupid and irresponsible comment. If this was meant as a joke, please stop. There are issues not to play with and this is one of such. |
Great girl. Helping out her father with the family business. For those who think vulcanizers are poor, please buy a car. If you cannot afford one, please sit by a vulcanizer and see how much they make. Just pumping air costs s minimum of 300 naira. Talk about other tyre issues. Talk about buying and selling tyres, etc. Those in good locations make 20-30k day and more. Please help your parents. Never abandon them in their time of need. Thank you to all the great children, who are not ashamed to show off their parents. |
yarimo:The commander general of poverty, the chairman of hungry men association, the Secretary General of hardship society, we see you. |
All in vain! They decamped that day the letter was written to APC on the 11th of December, 2023. The same day 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly at their sitting passed for Second Reading the Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2023 among other legislative activities. Three days later the state government commenced the demolition of the assembly complex. The letter written to INEC irrespective of the party or individual, must be acknowledged by those in charge at the commission. Do not forget that Edison Ehie, as the then factional speaker wrote a letter to INEC asking the commission to declare the seats of the 27 vacant. INEC acknowledged the letter but have not acted. INEC will act on the basis of the ruling from the court. The law is clear on decamping members of state of National Assemblies and it is incontrovertible. It may take a while for the now remaining 25 to deceive themselves through the court, but in the end the reality is that they are no longer recognized and would be treated as inconsequential. Again the 25 would not be getting salaries and allowances anymore, not especially from the state governor run by their enemy, Fubara. BAT gave a political solution to the dispute and the governor was more than willing. Unfortunately Wike and his group would not be appeased. That’s politics…interest! BAT could not override the constitution with his political solution, as PDP and other interested parties were already in court. So for now we all wait. Lastly, this forum appears to have too many secondary school students, or half literates, who are not able to read and comprehend before commenting. |
Thank you very much Mr. Peter Obi sir. |
laivwire:Whatever little you can grow will help our a great deal. Yams presently sell for 6K each in some cases. Yams from the areas called “Onitsha yam” will sell at over 2k this year, at the farm gate. The same will go for Abuja and Minna yams. Even though marginally lesser, would be priced high. Tomatoes and pepper, home grown can help out too. Cheers. |
NoniblaqStore:So if someone came to your shop and purchased shirts worth 1m with such failed promises, you’d call that person intelligent? If that same person evaded for such a time and resisted arrest, you’d call hi. Intelligent? Staying relevant to you is akin to purchasing a vehicle of 27 million and not paying? If he had such money in his account, why did he delay? Why not continue with whatever can he was using until he could afford such a car? If that is your idea of how intelligent people behave, then wait until it happens to your business. |
That’s alright. That road connects directly to the bridge at Ekwulobia. The bridge commenced less than one year ago just around the raining season and has advanced in stages. It benefits the governor too in that his town is 10 minutes from Ekwulobia. That should make life easy for him when he travels to Imo state. The bend in front of Aguata local government (Aguluezechukwu) finally would be widened to make that point safer for the citizens. Aguata as I see is undergoing some face lift. I want to see some action in Ogbaru, especially on the road from Uga to Ossommala. It takes ages to travel on that road and the journey is compounded by the presence of Navy personnel. The evenings are worrisome at Idemmili or Odo rubber. The traffic is hellish because of the navy people. Someone please tell Soludo to remove his boys at the head bridge. |
Richtaiwo:While you die in silence, the child and school were dignified with his presence! By the way are you close to a railway line? Is there any rope around you? Do you have sniper around you? Is there a transformer close to you? If you are in Lagos, avoid third mainland bridge. Please get people to monitor you. |
Adaisback:Tell him that he has to make peace with himself and that the Igbos absolutely control his life. The Igbos have presided over him and generations before him. They will continue to dominate generations after him. All he wears, appliances he uses, the equipment used to build the house that he lives, the food that he eats, his mobile phones and drugs that he takes to save his life, are sold by the same Igbo people. What can be greater than that please? |
ufotunang:In politics, it’s interest and not enemies or friends. He will belong to whichever serves his interest and can accommodate his structure, if he has remaining by 2027. As of now Wike is not able to remove Fubara. The state assembly has vacant seats in 27 constituencies, by the law. Again the other lawmakers left are Fubara’s people. Wike may make an attempt if the assembly is properly consituted. However, the governor will not sleep with his eyes closed. |
StillDtruth:Hahahahahahahaha. I laugh at you. When did you start travelling on that road? I can tell you about that road since the 1970s. Added to that, I have owned Mercedes cars twice. |
Great idea. So you do not need a big land. You can comfortably grow yams, onions, pepper, tomatoes, etc at the back of your home. You can sustain your home with some and if there are extras, you can sell and make some money. Less people to farms. Less encounter with herdsmen. No security fear. More food at home. More money saved. Some people grow out fish in their homes. Some snails and for some it is chicken. They save a lot and have more to eat. Good concept. Hopefully it can be extended nationwide by all. |
ozo13:This is not a football match. This is leadership. This is the people. This is governance. It’s not just about Rivers state, but the entire country. It has to do with you and all Nigerians. I advise you to read, think and then make informed comments in issues like this. We are not talking about who controls anything. We are talking about the constitution of the country and ensuring that only the right things are done. If you support politicians to perpetrate what is wrong and unconstitutional, you only aid them to embezzle and punish you more. If they are not able to account to you for their stewardship, they are not worthy to be your leaders. So it’s not about who can negatively influence the court. It’s about ensuring that constitutional provisions are strictly adhered to. |
Why? Without the media, how can we know what’s happening with infrastructures in the state? He needed the media when he was campaigning. Now he thinks the same media is not needed to update citizens. I hope there’s no ojoro intended? Anyway, I think the political challenge Fubara faces will keep him on his feet. They are enough to make him work very hard to develop the state further. Wike set the pace, irrespective of his greed. Fubara must get the confidence and trust of the people through his performance. If he wants to build his structure and win the hearts of the citizens, he must ensure that every part of Rivers state experience his leadership. It must not be by vote buying or bribing in other forms. It must be by pure work and further development of the entire state. In all Fubara must work harder for the development of Rivers state than Wike. |
But Obaseki decamped to PDP from APC. Does he want to say that all his accomplishments during his first tenure as an APC governor, belonged to PDP? |
That’s simply it. That’s the constitution. There’s nothing anyone can do about it. They left the party with pomp and pageantry. They cannot return to PDP secretly while waiting to decamp against just before 2027. PDP has been looking out for ways to pay back Wike in his own coin. Wike too has admitted that he is the mistake maker of the century with all his greedy choices. The lawmakers may return in the future if they are politically useful and truly remorseful, but the party for now, demands its pound of flesh from them. Just as they exercised their rights by defecting from PDP, in return PDP can exercise its right to reject their return. One continues to wonder why lawmakers are the chief lawbreakers. It should be that once any of them defects from party A to party B, he should be made to vacate the house immediately by the speaker or senate President, depending on which body is affected. In ensuring that the laws they make are properly adhered to, they can be said to be contributing to the deepening of our democracy. |
anonimi:See what hunger has caused a young man to become? What a shame. Can I send you some food. I can help sustain you with food until you can find your feet and some common sense. |
His eyes prove that he’s a professional thief! |
Aside from registered companies, can individuals apply for mining licenses? |
Okwyjesus:Haha |
They made the atmosphere toxic. They abused and still keep abusing the man. None of them remembered to make friends with Fubara. They were all in the same camp. While they all reported to Wike, they forgot that Fubara had become the governor and was wielding a lot of power. Now if they talk to him carelessly anymore, they can dearly pay for it. Wike in his tenure chased many of his so called opponents away from Rivers state. |
anonimi:With your absolute lack of common sense, I advise you to get five bottles of BITTER OBI herbal mixture. Take it three times daily for two weeks. It will help you begin to reason properly, have common sense and talk properly. It will also help prevent you from talking about things that you know absolutely nothing about. |
PARADIZEPRIEST:Why pretend when you are part of the hungry people? Anyway you do not need to meet Obi to gr something to eat, that will last you a long time. Obi has a group of people called OBIdients. Speak with any of them and your hunger will disappear. If you also suffer some BATeria, you can ask for some BITTER OBI herbal mixture, to cleanse your body. We can also pray for you get delivered and to live a better life, instead of following those who daily impoverish you, while pretending to help you. |
Not just the boy did he surprise. He surprised the whole of Corona schools. That was a massive and unforgettable deed. A lasting impression in the heart of the boy and other children; an encouragement to the school. That was one dream come through for the child. By the way, Corona since 1955, is one of the oldest private schools in Nigeria. Thank you Mr. Peter Obi. |
How can he end it? Someone who believes that the best way to develop is to tax the poor more, make the rich richer, feed the poor crumbs in the name of palliatives and ask the poor to bear with him. With serious hunger and misery in the land, BAT chose to build a coastal highway, rather than get agriculture and security complete sorted out first. While that pill was forced down the throat of citizens, he decided to use pension funds for infrastructure building. With no control over exchange rates, inflation gets worse everyday, the man does not seem to have a solution. For the first time, Nigerians are truly “under pressure”. |
