She was called a home breaker and told to leave the aggrieved party's husband alone. If the lady has been having an affair or even just a fling with the husband, then that statement wont be seen as false to the reasonable man on the street.

If you are having an affair with someone's husband and you are called a homebreaker you have no leg to stand on to claim defamation of character.

For a defamation case to succeed, the claim made will have to be false.

There is no criminal matter here at all. You can try to claim for a civil infraction but I cant think of what the lady on the poster will try to claim for.

If it can be proven that the lady on the poster had an affair with a man the person wio put up the poster is legally married to, then the claim will fail.

Calling a woman who is having an affair with your husband a homebreaker and telling her to leave your husband alone on a poster is no different to saying it to her it a public place with a crowd gathered.

A defamatory claim has to be malicious and false. So of you're sure she's the wife of the husband, you're contradicting your defamatory claim.

One needs to discuss that with the landlord and come to mutually favourable terms. Do not forget that the meter is in the name of the landlord, for the use of the tenant. Discussing and agreeing reasonable terms should work for both parties.

It is no longer the business of the landlord at that point. The landlord is responsible for structural issues. You are responsible for what has been provided for your daily use. Why not ask your landlord to change the bulbs when they are damaged?
