SmartyPants:Can you tell me the issues as you see them? |
Creating state police when the present Federal police is understaffed and under financed. Should first things not get first things first? We have all sorts of people in different uniforms, yet banditry, kidnapping and other forms of crimes continue unabated? Why waste the resources when we all know the issues? Please pay the police internationally accepted rates, equip them and get more men employed into the force. Get more people into the armed forces, find them properly, encourage them and see the difference. |
YouAreNobody:Please just get yourself a bottle of beer and some pepper soup. You got the point correctly. |
Ttalk:Please how do you define a Lagosian? How do you define an American How do you define a Briton? How do you define a Nigerian? If Dangote lives and does his business in Lagos, how will you define him? How would you define a certain Ahmadu, Ovie, Chukwuemeka or Akpan who were born, live and work in Lagos? How do you define a certain Kemi Badenoch, a black skinned woman, born in England and the leader of the Conservative party, a Nigerian by descent? Prince Philip, the father of King Charles, the King of England, was born a Prince of Greece. His father was the son of King George I of Greece (born Danish) and Queen Olga (born Russian). |
Freestainworld:If by now these men have not overcome their pre 2023 issues, then they should be told to be ashamed of themselves. It shows that Atiku was never the problem of the party, but the overbearing and greedy nature of Wike and his co-sojourners. I wonder what pleasure Wike derives in his desperate attempt to completely ruin the party that gave him all his possessions of today. The same goes to Fayose. Ortom, Ikpeazu, Ugwuanyi, keh?? Even while they were governors, they were incompetent on all fronts. |
WizardOfNG:Just see how you contradicted yourself. So by your words, you did not see how you admitted the Tinubu also was desperate for power? …an excellent strategist who waited patiently, planned meticulously…”. What was he waiting patiently for? What was he planning meticulously for? Was he planning and waiting patiently to sleep on the same be with you? So you do not know that just as he desired, planned and achieved it, others have the same right? Or when he shouted “emi lokan” with anger towards Buhari, it was not enough to show how desperate he was? When he said that you must not only grab power, but you must run with it, it did not show you that power grabbing was his own plan? |
givedemwotowoto:Don’t mind them. The reality is that they deceive their gullible supporters. Diaspora Nigerians simply are taking advantage of a very weak naira. Now they send more for owambe and frivolities, seeing the the naira is very weak compared to their currencies. Now Nigerians get worse finished products than they used to with weak prices. |
Softmirror:“…smaller fish that are armless”? Do smaller fish bear arms please? |
DuBLINGreenb:Still they will disagree. Simply, he should have shared the properties and money in the bank among the children, allowing them to move on without quarreling. |
How can you no bet? After what we all saw with illegal thumb printing last Saturday in Rivers state. Is it not a test run of what will play out in 2027? |
Vision101:With all the millions of votes, PBAT scored 8.9 million, which represented 30% of the votes. If he was that popular, why did he not secure between 15 and 20 m votes? By the way no be “work in the pack”. Na “walk in the park”. No be “work” inside “pack” of shoes. With what you saw in Rivers state two days ago, how do you expect rigging to be ruled out, especially with the man desperate from many years to be the President? |
kedeojo:And you do not know the proverb “to catch a monkey, behave as one”? And you did not expect that Obi would use the same structure, turn it around and make it better? “…and Igbos as re just too desperate”. Who was more desperate in 2023 between Igbos and the Yoruba man who shouted “emi lokan”? Was it his turn, after the Presidency between 1999 and 2007, adding the Vice between 2015 and 2023? Who was more desperate? |
LagosOrigin:Don’t mind him. The only reason that he wanted the Presidential candidate from the south in 2023 was his desperate ambition to become the President. If he allowed the same Obi to remain in the party and get the ticket, PDP would be in power today. He is enjoying the best of two worlds today. It is temporary. |
Mirasteel:Ask yourself if the Houthis can achieve it. If they could, why have they not? By the way, why were they not able to take measures to secure themselves, seeing that they all were targets. Or do you expect to go to beg naked, looking at the roof, believing that the man who threatened to wipe you off the face of the earth would be doing the same? An entire cabinet was wiped out and you think it is a joke? You were there when the Iranian Ayatollah hid in a hole during the war. Or you thought that an attempt was not made against his life? If the Ayatollah with all the security could hide himself, what happened to your Houthis? Now that they lost their lives, what do you expect from the same Ayatollah that they were fighting for? |
Mirasteel:So you are not aware that Netanyahu and his cabinet members have been targets for their enemies. So you are not aware that if they had the opportunity, they would long ago have wiped off Netanyahu, his cabinet and their family members? Do you not know that all is fair in a war? Are you so young that you have failed to look at the issues clearly? |
erniok:If you are referring to the Houthis as defenseless, then it’s either you are lacking information or you live in self deceit. The same people who you claim are defenseless, overran their legitimate government and imposed themselves. They hold on to the strait of Homuz, controlling the shipping lane and taking hostages of ships and defenseless people. The same Houthis are able to fire long range missiles into Israel, targeting Israeli citizens. The same Houthis now possess some chemical weapons, supplied to them by Iran. Now tell us how they are defenseless please. |
seunmsg:Before then, let Deji Adeyanju face Obi in court as you claimed earlier. |
WorldRichest:Ahh! So as at now, you have not realized that they not only rule you, but the command and control you. Without them, how can you buy the phone in your hand, watch tv, bath in decent bathrooms, wear boxer and clothes, cook with pots and matches, toothpicks? What about drugs to rescue you when you are sick? They control all and control you. Untop, you rent your apartment from them too! Carry your Presidency for head dey dance up and down. |
Softmirror:Dey deceive yasef. Maybe you were in primary school when GEJ was the President. Sorry you hear. Under GEJ’s government, aside from the price, passports were obtained the same day. It was not 24 hours, it was not one week, not one month. It was same day collection. Passports were readily available. What happened with your APC since baba go slow? It became not 24 hours, not one week, not one month, but averagely 3 - 6 months for collection. Your new baba now tells us that it is 100k and above, yet struggling to make collection in one week or more. Where is the deception of ADC? |
If Hope Uzodimma would pay 110,000 minimum wage to the least earning Imo government official, what’s happening with Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Ogun states? |
seunmsg:Definitely, with no possible response to you well supported rascality, you must give up. |
seunmsg:So if a man says on national tv that he does not mind getting killed, his family cannot claim damages if someone murders him? So if Obi says it does not matter if he is called those derogatory names, you therefore assume that it is appropriate for Deji Adeyanju to call him a thief and assume that he can get away with it, without evidence to that effect? No wonder our laws are there, but they are worthless in the face of youths like you, who think that laws are made not go obeyed. Well unfortunately, this time Adeyanju picked on the wrong guy. Even with his clear support for Tinubu, Reno Omokri has not called Obi a thief or accused him of stealing state funds…Reno Omokri is a senior lawyer to Deji Adeyanju. Not long ago, Adeyanju warned VDM over his supposed excesses. He told him to know his limits in his claim as an activist and reminded him that if he dies, Nigerians will move on. Does Adeyanju himself capacity know his limits? Under his activism he hides the truth that he is not a pillar of justice, but a manipulator driven by money and not morals. He claimed to be apolitical, but he forgot to mention his membership of PDP. He forgot that Wike accused him of getting angry when he wanted assistance from Wike to be PDP’s publicity secretary and failed to get it. How can he claim morality when his direction towards Tinubu is already known by his own words? He twists narratives, fabricates likes and damages reputations for profit. His hypocrisy is clothed in false righteousness. “..what damages can Peter Obi prove..”? He who accused must prove. Not right? You call a man a thief, you must prove it. If he fails to prove all that he alleges, then you can ask again what damages Peter Obi can prove. So to you, common sense prevailed in the matter of Chief Afe Babalola and Dele Farotimi? So you were not there when Yoruba leaders approached Chief Babalola to forgive Farotimi as a Yoruba son who had wronged a Yoruba father? Or you were not aware of other cases that followed, aside from Chief Babalola’s case? You were not aware that Farotimi was first arrested and detained, while people were pleading? You were not aware that Ooni of Ife approached him Chief Babalola who was as not pacified until Ooni pleaded? Was it not Ooni dignified presence that ended the matter? Was Dele Farotimi not held in the balls already? Maybe you did not know that Obi could have used the police first against him accusing him of a crime as Chief Babalola did against Farotimi. Maybe you do not know that the IG would have been very glad to do that case, seeing that he has issues against the likes of Adeyanju and Sowore, who constantly abuse him. All of you by now would be crying of oppression. You have a long way to go understanding how decent societies work. |
seunmsg:Sometimes you make me laugh with your baseless comments. You stated “Deji did not defame Peter Obi”. I wonder if your definition of the word “defame” was picked from Sambisa forest. Did you read at all the facts of claim as stated by Obi’s lawyer? If you did, how would you “cleverly” overlook the area where Deji Adeyanju accused Obi of taking Anambra state funds into his private pocket? Or you did not notice that Deji Adeyanju claimed that Obi said that to him? Where is his evidence to that? Maybe some of you do not have the idea of the new cybercrimes law? Maybe you do not know that a clear case can be established out of this issue if Obi wins. Maybe you do bit know that Deji Adeyanju may be paying huge damages to Obi for defamation, if the case goes against him. Perhaps you will contribute to the payment. So if Obi said that he did not mind anyone calling him a thief, that gave Deji Adeyanju the right to call him one and expect to get away with it? What will happen if he fails to prove his claim. So you think that everyone who called Tinubu a bad name got away with it? You this person dey very funny with your thinking sha. Certainly you do not know that there is a proverb that says “labalaba dey call imself butterfly”. Maybe his two years after law study makes him view himself as Mr. Femi Falana. Maybe you did not notice Deji continuing with his accusation on tv. When Obi called Sowore a blackmailer, did he not have reason, having personally experienced it? As they say, the battle is set in array. Let’s see who has something that lose. If Obi truly stole Anambra state funds, now is the time for the whole world to see, with Deji Adeyanju’s evidence. |
WriteerNg:Ragtag and controlling the government? Ragtag and possesses advanced military weapons? Ragtag and yet now possess chemical weapons? Ragtag with capability of firing long range missiles? No be only ragtag na akisatag. |
Angelfrost:Certificate of sponsorship. A simple visa method of getting people into the UK, yet heavily abused by those who think that they have the advantage. |
OnionBandit:Shame on you. Maybe you did not read well. Continue living in self denial. |
This is very disgusting if it is real. How are people able to continue like this? |
Basic123:“backages”? What does that mean please? I have never heard such English word! |
Nigeria is definitely underestimated. Certainly there is an error. |
aribisala0:Did you read the post with understanding? I wonder how you rushed to respond in this manner. “ A renowned journalist, author and columnist, Ike Abonyi, has denounced claims by Human Rights Activist and Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi offered him money for support. Abonyi, who said he was present during the meeting which he brokered between Adeyanju and Obi in the run up to the 2023 elections, explained that Obi never made any such offer”. Ike Abonyi said that he facilitated the meeting. What that meant was that Ike Abonyi arranged for Deji Adeyanju to meet Peter Obi. As the facilitator or middleman, he sat with the two of them until the meeting - which lasted for three hours - ended. So far Deji Adenyanju has not disputed or countered that. Silence can be taken as admission of the fact. Where is my “position in affirming”, in the face of the statement of Ike Abonyi, who was the facilitator and witness? |
lionshare:In this instance, did Obi offer Deji Akinyanju anything monetary reward under any guise? The man who facilitated the meeting and sat all through disclaimed it. Rather than seek some settlement, Deji went ahead with his defamatory comments as if they have no consequences. |
Olden days card as they are called these days, suffered in the hands of “rewires”. No mercy. Any fault, na to join wire. We even learnt how to join wire too! |
