CrimeRe: Man Reportedly Beaten To Death By His Three Wives In Anambra by ElevationD: 9:04am On Sep 20, 2025
Now, all the children have become fatherless and motherless. The women will not have sex the rest of their lives, as they will spend the rest of their lives in prison. Now no such thing as a decent bed, as the hard floor will be their bed all their lives. They will no longer have the opportunity to cook in a kitchen all their lives, as they would be served prisoner’s food the rest of their lives. No more friends to advise them foolishly. After prison sentencing, the ladies may never see each other again. They may never see their children again. Their children would be labeled the children whose mothers killed their father and they would be pariahs in the Otuocha community. They will resort to blaming each other. They will never have peace again. The rest of their lives would be lived regretting their actions.

What a foolish thing to do.

“Ordered” or “requested”? That headline should be corrected please. It should read “requested” and not “ordered”.

By the way, what are they investigating about the emergency rule in the state? They wanted it by their actions and got it. Even at that, if resources were mismanaged, where will they find the power to probe the man that BAT installed there on their behalf?

I really pity the vice president of this country shaaa. Nobody hears from him anymore. Even the ministers, nobody hears from them

Who is even the minister of information and communication self?

Wike has assumed all of these positions for himself simply because he rigged election for Mr tinubu

izzou:
So, the dynamics of Nigeria is different. Apart from the big structured companies, many private individuals hardly pay well, and that's why Dangote is roasting NUPENG.

Abroad, you are paid per distance. Also, time wasted during drop off or pick up is taken into consideration. You can estimate how long you can get to your destination. It's pretty straightforward

Here, you can leave Lagos today, and reach Abuja in 5 days, instead of 3. Also, depending on your network, you can stay days before getting a call to haul. These are factors here.

The people who enjoy the most are those who own their trucks.
Sure, here the dynamics are different. The only similarity is the truck driving itself. However which ever way it is operated, the truck driver makes his money, whether he owns the truck or is employed as the driver.

The reasons why there are delays in approaching destinations are several. There are terrible roads, security, huge traffic jams, etc. Infact at some time last year, it took trucks days to navigate just the Benin bypass. If you own your own truck, you make more money because you do not have have to pay driver’s salary.

NUPENG played into the hands of Dangote. For so many years, NUPENG held the entire nation by the jugular. Distribution has always been an issue. By labour laws, Dangote drivers and staff must belong to the labour union. However, Dangote reserves the right to run his business the way it wishes. With direct delivery to service stations, the feeding bottle is off the mouths of NUPENG officials. In all, we have witnessed consistency with petrol delivery, since the incoming of Dangote refinery.

You cannot make money driving a tanker, except you sell Diesel.

Tanker drivers make their money from allowances and a good salary.
You can make VERY GOOD income driving all types of trucks. You do not need any underhand or wayo. You do not need to sell people’s diesel or diesel in any form to get good payment. Tanker drivers are huge risk takers and they earn VERY HANDSOMELY. Drivers are able to build mansions and drive jeeps of their choices. You can enrol to learn truck driving and you will not regret it.

Note that in Nigeria drivers are VERY WELL paid, either when driving for companies or for single truck owners, who do not have registered companies yet. The same goes for truck drivers in the whole of Africa. The same with other continents. But you see, truck drivers earn more heavily in the USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, UK, Australia, Germany, New Zealand etc. Their currencies make Nigerians who work there have a little advantage over those in Nigeria.

Learn truck driving and you will not regret it.

How can they ever be the same? No be for this life. Abi officials no go collect share and tell athletes that money had not been provided? They are never ready and always expect sports people to easily win. No proper training facilities, no follow up, no financing, nothing, yet we hear of the humongous amounts provide by government. Most end up embezzled.

Why should we blame sports people who choose to represent other countries, seeing the wickedness of those in authority? And those in authority shamelessly tell us that sports unify Nigerians. If that’s the only thing that unifies Nigerians, why not make the sports people proud of what they do for the country?
HealthRe: The Danger Of Calling Seizures ‘spiritual Attacks’ Instead Of Seeking Help by ElevationD: 9:24am On Sep 13, 2025
Why blame the citizens only? Why not blame leadership? When leaders are elected to provide basic health facilities and they embezzle the funds? When leaders fail to build proper health infrastructures and use the same funds to travel abroad to treat themselves and family members, what do you expect? Even Presidents too ensure that they are treated abroad. What do you expect?

With nowhere to run to and no health facilities, including poor health education, don’t you expect citizens to attribute seizures to spiritual attacks? Even you OP, if you did not get some information, would you not hold to that belief? And by the way, who says that by means of black majic seizures cannot happen? Na who tell you that kind thing? Abi you wan form Oyibo for us here?
HealthRe: They Lied About HIV… Here’s The Truth by ElevationD:

❌ They Lied About HIV… Here’s the Truth ✅

1) They said HIV treatment was complicated.

2) They said people living with HIV can’t thrive and survive.

3) They said medicines are out of reach.

❌ They were wrong.

1) With only one pill a day, people living with HIV can live long, healthy lives.

2) At Retroviral Solutions (RVS), we make ARVs possible.

3) Because the truth heals more than quietness will.

What myths have you heard about HIV that we need to burst today?”
There was never any lie at any point. Medical science evolved. Medical science discovered HIV/Aids. Drugs were discovered, not to heal, but to manage. It required several drugs to control initially, including social habits. Over time medicine made further discovery regarding drugs and there it is today with ARVs all over.

The lie came with herbal practitioners claiming that they had drugs that could cure HIV/AIDS and people fell for it. I knew someone who fell for it and lost his life. That’s the lie when you claim success over what you knew nothing about in the first place.
FoodRe: "The Myth Behind Owoh Soup" by ElevationD: 7:13am On Sep 13, 2025
Sonnobax15:
Good day my fellow Nairalanders...Hope y'all are doing well?

Omoh,so recently I had an argument with a very good friend of mine who hails from Edo state....It was all about which ethnic group has the best soup ........He firmly maintained that the "groundnut soup" of the great people of Edo state has more dominance over the "Owoh soup" of the great urhobo/isoko people of Delta state.....So I promised him I'd do my research very well and come back to him......And as well learn more about other ethnic groups in Nigeria cheesy

Well,Owoh is a very popular traditional soup that has always been in existence even before Lord lugard ever thought of almagamating Nigeria angry. Yes,you heard me right cheesy. It's widely popular among the urhobo/isoko people of Delta state......The myth behind this soup is that,it isn't just ordinary,as it can only be prepared by good cooks and it's eaten with great respect.........And besides it,comes with starch which is usually seen as a nice combo...

One funniest thing about this soup is that, without it,no traditional wedding among us,the urhobo/isoko people is seen to be complete because it is one of the major requirements from the groom's family to the bride's family.....It is indeed both spiritually and ancestrally inclined and induced in our customs and traditions that it is even believed that whenever it is eaten, our ancestors from both far and near come together and party to it's aroma cheesy

I once attended a traditional wedding ceremony where the marriage was almost abandoned and nullified by the groom's family simply because the brides family failed to entertain them with this Owoh soup.......The bride's family had to send someone out to go and look for any restaurant around where it could be bought, and it was done after so much apologies from the bride's family angry

Well, I'm only here this day,to showcase the uniqueness that surrounds my cultural soup and hope to also learn about those from other ethnic groups across Nigeria cheesy. My dear sister, caaz,it won't be nice if I fail to mention you here cheesy

please this thread isn't all about tribal bigotry and insults as I felt like it'd be a nice thing to share our cultural values with one another so to bring unity amongst us...... Please you guys should do the needful 🙏
Only you first look the face of the soup wey you post. How person wan look that kind face get interest? How person wan see am like am? You no know say banga and Owoh no be mate? Next time choose banga, or even nsala, which is by far the best soup on your Delta state cover owoh.

Cool down you can move around with CHF ,it only means his heart has started failing ..many people you know are already suffering it without even knowing
I cooled down already. Congestive heart failure is a serious matter. Agreed many move around with it, believing that “all is well”.

For someone like Wike, if his Doctor advised him to do a bypass surgery, then he should do it, as he is easily able to afford the cost and recovery time. If he chooses, he can have a defribillator. If the story is true, he may only be scared of his title and wealth, which pale in the face of fixing his health now and hoping for less heart challenge in the future.
PoliticsRe: Wike Travels To UK For Medical Attention - Sahara Reporters by ElevationD: 2:28pm On Sep 11, 2025
This story is very poor. I do not believe it. Do you know what it means by “congestive heart failure”? Do you know what it means when you have heart failure and your Doctor says that you need surgery? Do you think that patience has a choice? Do you think the patience even has time to play around with, how much more talk about his job? This is a life threatening condition that needs serious attention. If Wike has lost weight, it is to his advantage. His heart, liver and kidney need the weight loss.

SavageResponse:
There's nothing like could there, it is true, even first class veteran actresses who receive premium fees will struggle to buy a used 2010 model G-Wagon if they depend on acting alone
That’s his opinion. We agree that certain members of the film industry are not able to purchase such luxury cars with payments from that industry, but there are those who are easily able. Funke Akindele comes to mind. With the mind blowing figures from her movies, can Yemi Solade prove that her wealth is not largely from that source? What about the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, those with box office hits consistently?

If he talks about the men, it is understandable, as their payments are not commensurate wiry they’re efforts. Those of them in the industry can insist on getting better pay, if they want.

How do you define “constructive criticism”? Is that video not more than enough to show even the Governor the state of affairs in the hospital? Are we no long living in a country where funds are released for such projects, those in charge loot and give the same governor of his state a false report? Was that video not good enough to draw the attention of the governor to the true position of things in his state?

She went to court because she got suspended. The court told her to apologize so she will get reinstated, she choosed to appeal the judgement instead of apologizing. I agree with the Akpabio led senate.

She need to be dealt with so someone else won't do such a thing again. She has not yet sued Akpabio for all the damaging allegations
Oga, stop embarrassing yourself. Even if you did not see the court judgement, you can easily read it online before making this ignorant argument, in the name of comment.
PoliticsRe: ADC Demands Natasha’s Immediate Reinstatement by ElevationD: 11:13am On Sep 11, 2025
Ofunaofu:
That is very flawed . First, let’s get the facts straight: Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension was imposed by the Senate, not a court of law, and that suspension has already lapsed. There is no legal basis for her continued exclusion from the chamber. Period.

Now, to this your your "she was asked to apologize" claim, apologies don’t override constitutional rights or due process. This isn’t a monarchy where personal pride trumps law; it's a democracy. You don’t silence an elected senator and by extension, her constituents over ego.

If Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan made accusations against Akpabio, the proper path is due legal process, not political punishment disguised as procedure. And let’s not pretend the justice system moves swiftly or without influence especially when high-ranking politicians are involved.

Finally, let’s not ignore the bigger issue. Just as it was highlighted by the ADC National publicity secretary, Mallam Bolaji, only 4 women out of 109 senators, and one is being politically sidelined for refusing to bow to power. That’s not just stubbornness, it’s courage. What’s really stubborn is the refusal of certain power blocs to let democracy work unless it serves their ego.
Do not mind those who try to twist the court decision.

The court clearly demanded Senator Natasha to apologize to tender an apology and pay a fine of five million to purge herself of contempt of court.

The senate requested Senator Natasha to apologize to Akpabio for the disputed issue. Now the suspension has expired and some people are wrongly claiming that the court ordered Senator Natasha to apologize to Akpabio.

We are truly grateful experiencing a junta leadership in the Senate for the first time. I wonder how Akpabio and others continue in a democracy to represent their own constituents, while obstructing the citizens of Kogi central from benefitting from the same. The Senate is presently witnessing excessive use of leadership power by Akpabio and his supporters in the Senate and it must stop.

Without delay, the distinguished Senator must be allowed to return her seat. Even if there’s a political manouvre to have her removed from Kogi central and replace with an APC member, the least that must be done is to allow her complete her tenure, and allow citizens of Kogi central to determine their next Senator.

At a point, Shell was the largest company in Delta state.
How did Delta people treat Shell that made the company exit Delta state?

Okowa, Uduaghan ruled that state for almost 2 decades. What did they achieve?

The highest employers of labour in his Delta state are hookup, keke and POS.

What businesses are his State government attracting?

Mind you, Delta has an airport and a Seaport. What have they done with it?
How did Delta treat Shell?
Why have you not asked yourself how Shell treated the people? Why have you not bothered to ask what happened to the lands and waters of the people of Delta states? Why have you not wondered what happened to fish in the waters and animals on land?

While you sit there enjoying amenities installed using oil money from Delta state, developing your state and other parts of the nation, why have you not bothered to ask if Deltans have benefitted from the resources of their land?

While other parts of the nation are supplied electricity also from Okpai in Delta state, why have you not asked why the same community has not had electricity for over twenty years?

Hookups are largely patronized by criminals. Maybe you are one, otherwise, you would not make such comment. If keke and POS are sources of income for people, maybe you need to get to Delta state and apply for one.

What businesses are the state government attracting? Hook up boys as you!
