tishbite41:Asaba man, when you leave Asaba passing under Koka bridge, you are heading first to Igbuzo, next Edo Ogwashi, next is Ogwashi uku kingdom, Ubulu uku, with Ubulu uno the left after the garage, etc, continue until you turn into Agbor/Umunede and Benin highway. Abi you no know road? When you turn right from the same Koka bridge, you are heading to Okpanam, Isele Azagba, Isele Uku, Onicha Ugbo, Agbor, all shortened until you get to Benin. When you turn left at the same Koka bridge, you are heading to Okwe, Oko junction, Niger bridge into Onitsha. Behind Asaba, you have other communities like Ugbolu, Ilah, etc. You sure say you be Asaba man? No go follow for people wey dem dey point their family mango or orange tree to after many years of absence o. Me wey no be Delta man come know your area pass you. Why na? |
sooperrescue:Unfortunately you know nothing of Igbuzor sons and daughters. Keep your mouth to the good and bad people of your community, that is if you know anything about your own people. |
Mrexcell:Did you enjoy the narrative? Are you from Igbuzor? I love the history of Anioma people as a whole, which includes the Ukwuanis. I can discuss it the whole day. They are great people. Very friendly, easily forgiving, enjoy their dance, their music, pounded yam and nsala. Very great people. The whole of the SE is a beauty in culture, tradition and enjoyment. Next I may talk about marriages and Christmas celebration. The church plays a very prominent role in these matters. |
chris51:No. Ibusa is the same as Igbuzor. Ibusa corrupted form by the British from its original name Igbuzor. Igbuzor has prominent sons namely: ex Senator, Barr. Peter FNwaoboshi the indefatigable Prof Patrick Utomi, founder of the Lagos business school, Professor Fidelis Oditah and Mr Peter Okocha a shipping magnate popularly known by his business name Crismatel, Obi (Prof) Chike Onwuachi, etc. Igbuzor is an enjoyment town with great musicians like Ogbogu Okonji, Agility Okonji, Nwanze Nwabuwa (AKA Nwanze Nwagbodi) and Uche Nwalama. You go dance tire. Ogbogu Okonji by far remains the most prominent of them all, as one his songs has been played all over the nation for many years in clubs, restaurants, hotels, homes, etc. What about football? They had Kingsley Obiekwe, a 1996 Atlanta Olympic Gold medalist in football; the late Peter Anieke of the Green Eagles; Emmanuel Olisadebe who naturalized and featured for Poland in 2002 and 2006 editions of the FIFA World Cup tournaments. Igbuzor is a place for enjoyment every weekend. No end to enjoyment since I knew the town. Now they have grown covering both sides of the highway leading to Ogwashi uku. Land no cheap there o. Admiralty university by the Navy is situated in Igbuzor. There’s peace, safety and security in Igbuzor. Igbuzor people, I hope say I don introduce una small here. Make una clap for me o. |
Waoh. Good to note that the Pope visited even before he was crowned. Now all his pictures and memorabilia during his visit would be preserved by the church in Igbuzor. I expect increase in membership and serious commitment to God and the church. Congratulations to the citizens of Igbuzor! |
Luckysbab:But when you responded to the other guy, I thought that you had something to tell us on the events between the two nations. Should this forum not be for sharing knowledge? Abi you just dey pose? You no know anything? |
Luckysbab:Where is the cultural skirmish? Where is the religious skirmish? Where is the twist? Feel free to educate us please. |
helinues:And you no get shame as you wrote this? This subject matter pass you sir. |
helinues:If you are asked how India started the oppression in Kashmir, you cannot answer. If you are asked to describe the geographical area of Kashmir, you will fail. If you are asked to describe the features of the area, you will fail. Why not kuku face Abia state as your area of specialization? Or you can continue with APC. Shoooooking your mouth in Indian/Pakistan matters no good for you. |
That’s true. |
femtex007:Great. Can you in anyway compare Enugu and Abia states? Let’s take a look at states that were created at the same period as Abia when making our comparisons. Enugu on its own should be far more developed than what we currently experience. It used to be a beautiful and very quiet city until the likes of Nnamani came. Crime and neglect came thereafter. Umuahia is the capital of Abia state. We have Aba and the other areas that make up the state. Umuahia is getting a better face look now than it was previously. Let’s support Otti to make it better. He’s better at accounting and governance and he is very prudent. Governance is a continuum as it is said. Let hope that in his eight years, he will not be distracted and he can make Abia more liveable. Orji started to deliver after his exit from the seat of governance. Now it is politics for the state of foistering his own party. For us, we just expect good leaders nationwide. We are tired of dirty rip off men as leaders. |
Mumusaphire:Clearly you know nothing about the man, his life, family and what is talked about here. Go and rest. |
femtex007:If you have never been to SE states, do not make yourself an armchair analyst. Seeing is believing. Go and see for yourself. Enugu was created long before Abia. Enugu was developed long before Abia became a state. Enugu has housing estates and good roads, long before Abia became a state. An example used to be Trans Ekulu housing estate, which used to be beautiful in those days. Enugu was known as a civil servant state and very serene. People loved to live and visit Enugu, until one Mr. Nnamani became the governor. From his period, Enugu faced underdevelopment. Compare that to Abia state, with only Aba. Orji ststematically underdeveloped the state, as was alleged. Theodore gave Abia locust years, not to talk of Ikpeazu. You must applaud Otti. If you have never been to Abia state, you may simply ask for the difference. In two years or so, he has significantly moved the state forward. He cannot do all in eight years, but he will do his very best. Comparing Enugu state with Abia is unnecessary. Make an exchange and see if Mbah would made it better in Abia. Some state capitals after creation were called glorified local governments. Abia fell into that group, just like Ado Ekiti, Oshogbo, Asaba and some states in the north. Let’s hope and vote for good leaders that can make our states and societies better. |
Mumusaphire:Yes, the name matters. A good name is to be desired, as it is said. He has a politician wife, who has held various positions in the state, including the state assembly member. He has his son who is said to be one of the lawyers of a world acclaimed Nigerian musician. So when he is endlessly involved in these issues, his family faces the backlash. |
Agbegbaorogboye:It will not take that much to secure conviction if guilt is proved. He’s been in and out of prison several times and I believe that he is already tired of spending so much of his time in prison. He’s a trained lawyer, even though not practicing, but with an only good son, who did not choose his father’s ways. If he simply had some plea bargain with the Palestinians, he would not be in this same situation again. However, if he chooses the path of plea bargain and an agreement is reached, he may not spend that long period in prison. The Palestinian might be willing to agree to terms that would be affordable to him. Sadly, there’s no going back with the Supreme Court’s decision. He’s name and image have been battered in his community and his state. |
Why not allow an autopsy if your hands are are clean. Allow for fair hearing. If you are an honorable, allow your name to be cleared. A simple second autopsy report will clear the matter. Why go to court to stop a second autopsy, which should be decisive? That man must have something that he is hiding. You |
olaiya2007:I do not think there’s any ambiguity in any form. The judgement of the court is clear. INEC is only been economic with the truth and watching LP and PDP being destroyed by APC. What’s so difficult with the decision, already made clear? The party says they no longer want Abure. He should simply take a bow and make another attempt. He has failed to defend himself on the accusations of financial misappropriation. If those who finance the party can no longer trust him with their finance and the chairmanship position, he should leave. The same goes with Anyanwu. He has been silent lately anyway, as the party already formally removed him. INEC has lawyers and advisers. INEC has copies of all judgements, including from the Supreme Court. It should not have taken this long to do the needful and let parties settle down and move on. |
richidinho:The man who has severally been called the worst senate president in the country. All he knows is to insult other political parties while seating on his Senate President’s seat. Let him run for the Presidency and see if he can win elections outside his immediate local government. Even his senatorial seat, na ojoro put an there. Woman slap am e no fit talk. Another woman accuse am so, e dey run heater skelter. Na Obi e dey measure. Nonsense talk. |
SonofElElyonRet:Maybe they thought that the juju would make their man more attracted to them and have sex with them instead of the latest wife. Some do not know that sexual prowess does not make you a good wife. Cooking very well did not make you a good wife. A good and kind hearted character makes you a good wife. The ability to go eight or ten rounds is not a guarantee to keep a philadeering husband. He will always go after women. Make yourself happy. Have something doing for a living. Do not make your husband your ATN machine. Women also are ATM machines. Make yourself one. Work for peace in your home and you will get peace. The two yeye women almost killer themselves out of ignorance. Thankfully the man helped them out finally. |
Maybe behind the scenes, Senators are making efforts to settle the matter. |
Food4Thought:Some young men do that as their profession. After successfully impregnating the woman and getting well paid, they never look back and never ask for the children. |
Food4Thought:Just like many have done across the nation. We are witnessing this in our own time. The young man surely will surpass 100 children from too many women. It also shows how sometimes some women are easy to deceive. Just use the word “marry” and there you go. We only heard of 18. There may be more. Like someone said earlier, that young man should be granted visas to certain countries where population is dwindling. I think one of them is Botswana. He can go to Italy. He can be a sperm donor. We already know his talent. He is a talented belle giver. That should fetch him plenty of money too. As for those that he promised marriages, they should see that he lost the apprenticeship, after impregnating the oga’s daughter. No one would trust him to come around their homes. Even his mother confessed that when she sees ladies coming close to their home, she gets scared. Belle can happen to any woman, anywhere, anytime. The boy is a danger to women. |
LexngtonSteele:Oblongheadgazz and headhunting are 5 & 6. |
Na waoh. A thief is a very lazy person who wants money in the easiest and fastest possible way. As a man, even in this Tinubu/APC economy, you can do the following and have peace of mind: 1. Washerman 2. Car wash man 3. Labour at work sites. Daily pay is 8K - 10k. 4. Learn a trade. 5. Market products for organizations 6. Clean properties 7. Rent wheel barrows to carry goods for people. 8. Pack goods in cartons for delivery. Some cartons can fetch you 5 - 10k depending on what you pack. You can pack several cartons for a customer and get much more. 9. Get to Alaba/trade fair/Ladipo market and use push carts to carry goods for people at good prices. 10. Learn how to repair phones and make money daily. These and many more are there for young men to move their lives forward. Many have built houses and started much bigger businesses with those jobs. Why steal? Why insult yourself. If that young man only carried mixed concrete for one day, he would have made decent money. |
Should Nigeria be in such mess if leaders were doing the proper things? |
Jamb was a contraption if the north to fill up the wits system. It was me er necessary and it was clearly a rip off on the better educated south. After all the stress to get admitted and graduate, you still find the office positions controlled by the same north, who hold political power. Jamb itself should be scrapped and let pursue the same system in place before the advent of JAMB. The same goes for NYSC. It does not serve any usefulness and should be scraped too. Before the establishment of, there was the HSC. After your WASC, you’d go to your lower and upper six classes and while there, you could directly apply to a university of your choice. Infact schools has career officers who would advice students on the choices of universities and courses to pursue. Those thins helped to solidify the education of the students and put them in the right standing. Your WASC alone could get you jobs in the big corporate organizations. What do we have today? Quota system disadvantages everywhere. Corruption has now eaten very deep into the education system, especially with the 6-3-3-4 by IBB’s government. Teachers want bribes, parents are willing to give bribes, children are not ready to learn and degrees at awarded to the highest bidders. The nation facing the problem of corruption in the education system. Hopefully now parents can get the children to read. Teachers can teach more. Again, 14 - 16 year olds should not be sitting Jamb exams. Quota system too must be scrapped. Perhaps things can get better. Added to that, a conscious and very well calculated investment must be made in the education sector. |
Thunderfayamods:Correct. |
Simply shut down all scrap sites. Declare them illegal and let’s have some peace. These abokis have not let any part of the south have peace of mind. If they are not invading homes, shops and garages, the herdsmen are on the highways wreaking havoc. All we hear from the security agencies are the following words: THE PRESIDENT HAS GIVEN US MARCHING ORDERS. So without marching orders na siddon look for everybody. |
G0odharddick:You for fist get sense to think well before making your initial comment. You no be the man, the wife or Funke Akindele. No mention was made of when the offer to fly the woman abroad was made. Was it made immediately pregnancy arrived? We do not know. We do not know if the offer was made before Trump’s inauguration. And by the way, too many citizens travel to America to have their children for safety sake. Maybe they only would have had the child abroad and returned home at the expense of Funke Akindele. Inspite of that, they were happy to have their baby in Nigeria. Anything we pass that one na amebo one that. |
MrDoGood:Sorry bro, one of them must either be a British citizen or have an indefinite stay. That’s been the rule for close to forty years. Babangida ruined it all for Nigerians. I lived in the Midlands in the UK for quite a while. Thanks for sharing information with me. |
That’s the direct consequence of voting for APC since 2015. Simply train the doctors very cheaply in Nigeria. No need to spend tens of thousands of dollars. Next is for offers to come from different countries abroad and they japa for free. Do not forget, all expenses for their journeys are paid by their foreign employers. Next is to continue training the next set for foreign nations to come and harvest. Ironically Nigerian leaders visit foreign hospitals and are treated by the same Nigerian doctors and nurses, who they failed to pay good salaries. Our public hospitals are disgraceful. You hardly get good diagnoses to medical issues because of poor equipments and staff shortages. It is a shame. Get to good private hospitals and the medical issues are effectively handled. Rather than pay similar salaries with those same countries, our governments refuse. |
G0odharddick:Na you be visa officer? Abi na you go provide tickets and expenses? Who says she cannot get her into the USA, if she has the needed documents and information to cover her? |
