Which elections are “far freer, fairer and more credible…”? Edo state comes to mind please. |
Nonybb:Even if it a poultry farm, appreciate it. When leaders do what we expect, we must appreciate. That’s why they are elected. The entire Ojo and Badagry do not have good hospitals. Patients need to run to either Igando general hospital, Apapa, LASUTH, Ikeja or private hospitals. You can go and verify. Those who require specialist care within those axis end up with sad losses. If that hospital can meet certain vital needs of the people, then the governor needs commendation. By the way, hearsay without evidence is a serious offence. Such rumors as you help to spread can land you in jail. Mind your words. |
That should be a great movie to watch. Kiriji war between the Western Yoruba people and Eastern Yoruba people. Who are those to play the following roles? Fabunmi of Okemesi Ogedengbe of Ilesa Ogunmodede of the Ijesha Obadoke Latoosa, Aare Ona Kakanfo of Ibadan Ajayi Ogboriefon, Balogun Kupolu It should make understanding the war, its causes , prosecution and consequences clearer to understand. That should serve as a very fantastic historical peace. I will watch it time and time again to know the roles of everyone and how they all played out. Hopefully it should have very clear English subtitles, without nothing lost in its interpretation. This Oyebanji seems to be putting things right in his state. Well done to him. |
GeneralOjukwu:Go back and read the story. “ Mrs Blessing, daughter of the Akwa Ibom State deputy governor, Dr. Akon Eyakenyi, has died”. Mrs. Blessing was the daughter of Dr. Akon Eyakenyi. |
So sad. |
To find that security agents are neck deep involved with such crime in our country is nauseating. So on one hand the receive salaries, while on the other hand the aid and abet such crimes that they are paid to prevent. What a shame. Why not make the offence punishable by death? |
No Desmond Elliot in that picture. What happened? You |
Correct. Oya as the speaker, he should get to the office, go to the seat and address his fellow legislators. If he fails to do that, e no be man again. |
He made himself the next target. As long as he does not plan to trouble the Israelis or allow his group perform the same error as they did on Oct 7, 2023, he is safe. For now, the Israelis appear to have shut their mouths, along with those of Hezbollah, the Iraqis, Syrians and Iranians. The Houthis is a battle for the future. Aside from the jokes, we must all hope for absolute peace in the Middle East. The Iranians must be advised to put an end to their effort to wipe away Israel in 25 years. They must be made to know that a direct confrontation with Israel would be very catastrophic for not just them, but their proxies. The Israelis too need to find ways to make peace with neighbours who want peace with them. |
Putindbutt:Where this one come from? You just put mouth for wetin you no know. Oga, please where is the name Timipriye Silva in what we are talking about? Is he the NNPC spokesman quoted in the subject matter in discussion by the OP? Bros, please refer to the first page of the post and return. By the way, what are we talking about in the first instance? |
Putindbutt:Go and learn to read with understanding and stop making mockery of yourself. Which minister did you quote please? Where did your imaginary minister talk about the quantity of gas in Imo state? Read again for clarity please. The fellow quoted by you, only wanted to let readers know that Imo state has such gas reserves and nothing more than that. |
searchng4love:Common sense definitely is very far from rats like you. |
PressMyButton:Simply check if the information is correct. That should help you decide between the two of you, who should get out. |
Now she will longer watch TV with her children. She will never live with her children in the same house. Her children will never watch TV together in peace. Her family now is in complete disarray. She will never live with her husband again. No more sex to have more children. Her freedom has been absolutely taken away for the rest of her life. She will beg and beg the family of the girl that was termed “housegirl”. Women like her will beat her up in prison. Her peace has been taken away for the rest of her life. What a wicked woman. |
gasparpisciotta:Much as some of us do not agree with Obasa’s arrogance and overbearing nature, we do not agree with the words of Obanikoro. Belonging to a group does not take away your right to disagreement with certain words and actions of the same group. People are entitled to their opinions. If their opinions are not allowed - having voiced them out privately severally for attention - they may choose to present their disagreements publicly. Adefuye has been very steadfast with APC, starting with their days in AD, unlike Obanikoro who left to enjoy himself with PDP. Would he have returned to APC if PDP won the election in 2015? Obanikoro has no reason to poke his fingers in the eyes of Adefuye in that manner. We expect the dissent in the Governor’s advisory council. We expect that there must be disagreements that can threaten the group. How they hold the group together to avoid a break up is up to them. They were lucky that the likes of Ambode did not pick up the ticket of another party in the last election. That would have been nunc dimitis for them in Lagos. |
Swallowed his pride. Thank you to all who intervened. Thank you also to Chief Afe Babalola. Hopefully in all, everyone learnt some lessons. |
So the money from rent includes the dollars he was seen giving out to a praise singer last weekend? Does he receive rents in US dollars? By the way, what happened to his entitlements as an ex head of state? What happened to his entitlements as an ex President? The yearly new cars? The upkeep? Payment to domestic staff? Private secretary? Gardner? Drivers? Etc. What about his entitlements as a retired army major general? The baba is busy feeding fat on Nigeria and still telling gullible people lies in this his very old age. Wetin we do Buhari? After putting Nigerians in this condition, e still get mind to dey play wayo with them. Abi e smoke Igbo? |
givedemwotowoto:For immigrants who bear border patrols and arrive without passports, when they are arrested by immigration officers, they reveal the names of their countries. Failing to do so means long term prison sentences. They do not want that. However, as of yesterday, the Colombian government made a reverse of their pronouncement, seeing the difficulty to navigate the sanctions hurdles placed on their way. Do not forget that for the South American countries, their major trading partner for legitimate and illegitimate goods are the Americans. |
givedemwotowoto:Without passports? No problem. Country of origin is determined on arrival when travel documents are checked and cleared. Throw away the passport? No problem. Finger prints are used to determine name and details. Once all those are cleared, the immigrant is sent back to his country of origin. If the lost passport is fake or with fake nationality, the immigrant is returned to the originating country. Since the US airplanes are not permitted to land with the deported persons, they will be returned to holding facilities in the USA and badly treated. That’s far more dehumanizing. Much as the actions of the present administration of Trump are harmful and painful, South American governments must fix their own countries and stop the miles long human trains pushing to get into the USA. That also goes for other countries and their leaders. Fix your country, fix your economy. Even though the Americans stand to lose a lot in terms of labour, there is a certain feeling of threat to their existence that they possibly want to checkmate. Some Asians whose citizens daily flock to the USA never grant citizenship to people of other countries. The same goes for some middle eastern countries. Trump’s decision to make America great again must not only be viewed from the selfish angle. With the recent experiences from extremist groups in the USA, if making his country safer and better would work for him and his supporters, so be it. For us Nigerians, it is time to fix our country. We must ensure that we have leaders with integrity and clear intentions to make our societies better. Capital flight for example, must be discouraged with better wages and infrastructures must be fixed. We must ensure nationwide security and food sufficiency. That’s the way great countries were made in the first place. |
Foolish agents. If they beat NDLEA, how did they expect to beat customs in the UK? |
Sonnobax15:Accepted that the young lady was wrong. However, the biggest scallywags are those who use the same women for get rich quick rituals. Do you know that? |
Roboto11:Immigrants, especially South Americans have been involved in very serious crimes, ranging from drug trade to murder. Note that Trump simply amplified what had been going on with previous administrations. However this time, Trump is determined to put an end to the endless huge human trains moving to America from Venezuela, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, etc. Aside from that, Trump is determined to put an end to terrorist imported into the USA from Middle East and Africa. All he wants to do is to protect his country from criminals. While they find internal means within the law to deal with criminal citizens, they must not permit foreign criminals to continue to invade their country and further harm the citizens. That’s the same complain by Nigerians, when we complained that Fulani militia had invaded the country from other parts of Africa. |
Tjra:Don’t mind the arrogant and greedy fellow. If he is the speaker, he can proceed to the sit at the next assembly meeting. With this kind of over confidence, I think he may not return in 2027, except he will contest on the platform of another party different from APC. |
Natbrowny:Nigeria also practices citizenship by birthright! That’s why you have people of different skin colors, races and religion, born in Nigeria by immigrants and rightfully claim Nigerian citizenship. The famous Chagouris are the clearest examples. There are uncountable examples of Europeans, Asians, Americans and other Africans who hold Nigerian citizenships and passports. Trump simply wants to protect his country, seeing what immigrants have done in the recent times. We cannot blame him for that. Unfortunately he cannot, as the constitution would have to be amended to enable him. If the opportunity presents itself, surely they can contest elective offices. By the way, can you count the number of Nigeriens and Chadians who hold public positions in the north? |
Tareq1105:Thankfully I am entertaining myself and not you. How is it your problem please? |
Akpakomiza2:Typical APC supporter. You do not read clearly before responding and yet you accuse others of arguing blindly. Can you show me where the word “rigging” was used by me in my comment? If you are experienced in electoral cases as you claim, why not follow proceedings and watch out for the ruling of the respective courts? Do you know more than the various SANs and judges, who are on the case? By the way, why did APC lawyers refuse to cross examine the PDP star witness yesterday, if according to you and Jarret Tenebe, the PDP claims are watery? |
PressMyButton:And you managed to single out the word “learner” only, out of your comment? Such comment on the social media space like this should come from primary school pupils. Even your above response was a continuation of your very poor understanding of the subject matter and use of English. |
Akpakomiza2:So if PDP attacked APC campaigns, it is now the turn of APC officials in Edo state to make such inflammatory statements? Or you think that now it is the exclusive preserve of APC to physically attack PDP? Do you want to pretend that you are not aware that APC sent thugs to the tribunal venue? Did you not read the threat of Jarret a Tenebe to PDP witnesses? You borrowed the words of Mayaki when you said “watery”. The question is this: have you become the tribunal to determine “watery” evidences? Is it not up to the tribunal to make its judgment on the basis of evidences placed before it? Who discredited the evidences? Mayaki or the tribunal judges? |
Akpakomiza2:But PDP has been producing the evidences to back up their claim. Where is the fear? Why have the duo of Jarret Tenebe and John Mayaki appearing to threaten the people with their comments? Is it not clear that they have things to hide or fear? |
Roboto11:That’s their country, remember? |
Antoeni:“…Sharing Crocodile Tears” keh? Sharing keh? Mama Peace, is that you? |
Safety first. However the right decisions must be taken without fear or favour. By the way, why is APC appearing scared? |
