Nahunger:Well Thailand is more beautiful and less hostile than the countries that you mentioned. Keep your hands clean. Respect the people and authorities. Your peace is assured. |
Salowise:The biggest name in football in America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Australia, etc. Can you compare? NO. |
That statement was made for himself and his gullible APC followers. Was APC not there for years, with its much touted national spread, when LP defeated PDP at the very first attempt to take over not just the governorship, but most of the other seats in the state? Was the same Alex Otti not a member of APC at a particular time? Why did APC not defeat PDP with him? Why was APC not able to defeat PDP with the likes of Orji Uzo Kalu, after two attempts? Were APC and PDP not there when like a tsunami LP swept Abia state? The same APC said that LP had no structure. When push became shove what happened? What does it matter if people are not decamping to LP now? Did we hear any such noise when LP quietly swept even Lagos state last year? Enugu state was a struggle for PDP, not to talk of a totally unknown APC in Enugu or Abia state. Today, even Reno Omokri has admitted that Obi is the face of national opposition. Is it correct or not. That’s how they will be talking without reasoning properly. When elections come next time, we all know that LP will become the beautiful bride once again. |
bixton:Well, for us the citizens, let’s keep hoping and praying for good governance and better societies. Whichever way the political pendulum swings in not just Rivers state, but other states nationwide, we need to keep these people in check, ensuring that our votes are not regretted by us. Thank you for your time and a very decent conversation bro. Do enjoy the rest of your day. |
Did I read the name Lionel Messi among that list? Abi I no see well. We are talking of all his medals and honors and the Americans are adding another to that list? This is not his native Argentina o. Has any other footballer received such an honor? What about the other man? Make I no mention name. Truly Messi is the greatest. Thank you Mr. Joe Biden. |
bixton:See, of the three who came through Sir Victor Odili, the only person who has not been governor is Magnus Abe. He covets that seat and the two men between him and the seat are his two friends and foes; Amaechi and Wike. The friendship looking like relationship between Wike and Abe has to do with interest only., In all, citizens must see politicians for who they are… deceivers. In the years that Wike was building bridges, did we hear what he was doing with salaries, pensions and gratuities? I think Fubara is doing better with making lives better for citizens. |
kcmichael:A very big one at that. Was it not Victor Giadom or so in that video who clearly mentioned to Mrs. Patience Jonathan, that all of them seated in Odili’s living room contributed money to purchase Wike’s form? Buying that form was simply symbolic because Wike as of then was a wealthy man and easily capable to purchase his own form. Again he was symbolically handed over to Odili, who was The Godfather of all, including Mrs. Jonathan. Wike should only say that statement to those who support him for the purpose of money and position. Could he have defeated Magnus Abe, Odili, Giadom and the rest if he did not have federal backing from GEJ and his wife? He was only lucky that Amaechi had decamped from PDP to APC where he has been sidelined and made to face the consequences of his wrong move with Atiku and co. I strongly believe that if Fubara overcomes the issue of the decamped legislators, Wike will completely lose his balance in Rivers state. Even Magnus Abe only has the plan of contesting the governorship under APC, where he was frustrated by Amaechi, his former boss. |
bixton:It was not a hidden secret that Buhari had the intention of replacing himself with Ahmed Lawan. That’s why the brought all forms of crookedness into the law to remove Bashir Machina at the Supreme Court. I also believe that within the northern political elite, there was an agreement to replace Buhari with another northerner in all the major parties, except LP. However, you must not take the words of Magnus Abe lightly or simply discard them. The expression of surprise on the face of Wike said it all. Wike was surprised that Abe could boldly say such things in the public view. It must not be taken lightly because it shows us the rottenness in the politics of our country. It shows the selfishness of the politicians and their complete disregard for the welfare of the citizens. Wike was simply the lucky man within the group. Looking at the Presidential figures, Rivers votes did not make that much impact for me. The difference for Tinubu was in the north. If Atiku had agreed to Wike’s terms, the votes from Rivers state would not still have made the difference for PDP. In all the politicians in Rivers state were exposed to me as lacking in integrity. They simply want to follow the man who has the deep pocket, for the purpose of self preservation. |
El Rufai worked dey hard to develop Abuja. His development strides caught the attention of members of PDP then. Just like Atiku who was his godfather, he left PDP to join APC. He was overconfident and carried away. His efforts in Kaduna were eroded by his religious bigotry. He has friends across the country. He campaigned for Tinubu and worked hard for Tinubu to become the President. How far with El Rufai today? He’s sidelined! No one stays in political positions for life. Today it is your turn. Tomorrow it is the turn of others. No wonder Tinubu said that he had been coveting the Presidency for many years. He stayed patient, bid his time, fell out with powers and when it was time he got the position. Today it is Wike’s turn. Tomorrow it may not be. The same happened to Oshiomole. Magnus Abe stated that all of them, including Wike played anti party in 2023. He said that they all failed but Wike won. I concluded instantly that politicians cannot and must never be trusted. While they appeared to eulogize him yesterday, they were also strategizing. For Magnus Abe, it was and always will be their PERSONAL INTEREST. So for Wike he can keep on dancing while his music plays. Very soon, just like the others, if he fails to deliver Rivers state to APC in 2027, he’s away from the center. He will be back in his house in PH enjoying his wealth and waiting for another time, if any comes again. |
Na waoh. So as the Chief Judge he set them free. Chief Judges set free and go home to rest. Unfortunately he’s own freedom has gone he must replace them in the cell. |
So sad. A Part 11 king. That means that kings are like civil servants with levels. No wonder they are easily deposed by governors. That position does not in anyway seem respectable. The said Oba appeared to force himself on the citizens. He had not been accepted by the citizens and he had gone ahead to appoint a new Chief Imam while there’s a sitting Chief Imam. Can one say that he got what he deserved, including the new Chief Imam? He’s one of those kind of kings whose palaces are regularly invaded and burnt down completely by the citizens. |
emperor4love:No need to talk, but to learn what you do not know. We are not talking about football matches, but economics, international politics and power. It is not about geography, but about strategic interests and economic needs. For example, the USA produces crude. It is not the same viscosity with that of Nigeria. Local demand in most cases surpasses supply and they need to purchase the additional to meet their market target. Also they are exporters of crude. Notice what I said earlier with the word “viscosity”. They are not of the same quality. That’s one of the reasons for protecting their interests in Africa and the Middle East with their large corporations. If our leaders feel bad, then they can follow the Obasanjo option with BP in those days. Since you are not able to comprehend it, I will not explain further to you. Again the Chinese have found their way in Nassarawa, just like they have in Osun and other parts. They reason why they invade those areas is poor government monitoring and supervision. They would not do the same in their country, where they have to obtain licenses and undergo rigorous processes to be able to work. Again their mineral are well protected by their governments unlike ours. Thank you for “wasting” your time not to learn. |
emperor4love:That lithium used to produce batteries has Chile as the leading producer. There’s the USA, Australia and China itself with 7% of the world’s reserves. Zimbabwe comes along, while we have Portugal, Canada, Brazil and Bolivia. India recent discovered large reserves. Many of the resources needed for phones are found in China, Russia, Chile, Australia, South Africa, and Mexico, including the DRC. A few of these minerals include copper, gold, tungsten, silver, magnesium, tin, and aluminum. Niger produces Uranium, which is very vital in nuclear production, just as they have Cobalt. My friend, the problem is no longer with the Europeans, but greedy African leaders, who prefer to loot their resources and save the funds in the developed countries. Countries around the world thrive on international trade. Sell us what you have and we sell what we have. The danger is negotiating poor trade terms, just like African leaders so. So the Europeans, Americans and Chinese offer you what they have. If you take them on slavery terms, blame yourself and your leaders. |
Letmecum:Why then did you reply in the first place? By the way, are you so incapable to hold a decent discussion, putting valid points together for the attention of your audience? You go school at all? Abi English hard you so? You so far have exhibited the arrogance of those whose only experience outside the shores of Nigeria is India. They think that life revolves around there only. No wonder when they manage to find their ways back home, their destination is their village, where they form “big boys” to their townsmen. Do you think that shoes, garment and drug industries that you find in India, qualifies the country to be better than yours? The Nigerians who you hear their names performing exploits are from the moon, right? Or you think that Nigerians lack the proper capacity for management? Please read through my comments with clear understanding before you respond, otherwise I will take it that you have nothing to say, other than to be cheeky and exhibit lack of knowledge. And because you lived in Mumbai for mere three years, your “rawbish” head told you that India is better than Nigeria? Or you now equate yourself with people who have been across several cities around the world? If you ever did, can you gently describe the streets and network of roads? Can you describe the markets please? Can you describe the people? There you went talking about Denmark. Maybe I need to point out to you that Denmark is a Christian country, just like most of Europe, except Turkey and parts of Eastern Europe. The Danish practice Christianity. Wetin you no know, make you softly dey ask questions. |
emperor4love:When the Europeans and Americans came to Africa for slaves, do you remember that Africans themselves were in the business of selling themselves to the same people? When they brought their mirrors and salt, why did the forefathers not reject them? Even when slavery was abolished and industrial revolution set off, Africans continued. Africans themselves continued the business of enslaving fellow Africans. The Nigerien government last year banished the French. It is your right to say NO to imperialists. Do you know that? But the news is that you will not. The reason? They developed their societies and you work hard to secure their visas and to relocate to their countries for better living. Why do you do that? Poor leadership! |
jobark:Well if you originally attached one, I did not see it. Again, you must amend the topic! It should read “Wike has the red pen just like Fubara”. |
membranus:Yes I have been to the areas mentioned by you. Have you ever been to any part of the SE? Infrastructure wise Osun state lags behind Abambra state, without doubt. How do you define “collective civilized habits”? Is it not the same story of horrible environments, impatience citizens, horrible manners that pervade the entire nation? The same Nigerians who habit Lagos, are found in Kano, Oyo, Lagos, Imo, Akwa Ibom and everywhere you go? Is there any part of the federation free from thieving leaders and citizens? |
Letmecum:Long “rawbish” to you because your likes never read and never learn anything. India is not a religious country to you, yet they practice several forms of religion! Can you not even read what you write and think before posting? When people with knowledge talk, please listen otherwise you will continue to live in the Stone Age. Can you tell me the indices that determine that India and Indians are better than Nigeria? I have spent quite some time visiting India, starting from before you were born and as late as last year. When you say “Will Nigeria ever near India in technology in the next 20 years”, do you not see yourself as having that same slavery mentality, to the Indians of all people, as you commented? You made yourself a slave to Indians. Abi you be gateman for Indian man factory? To you Indians are more technologically advanced than Nigeria, yet Indians in the streets of India, gather together at the newspaper stands looking for job opportunities in Nigeria. If you can afford the little transport fare, go around the industries in Nigeria and find out how many Indians are in employment there. Dangote has employed Indians in the hundreds. Indians fill the plastic and drug manufacturing companies in Nigeria. Those who have come to Nigeria and have not found jobs, parade the streets daily in search of jobs. Go to Delta, Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa state and see your favorite Indians working to build barges and on construction sites. While you are there sitting and home and not reading, the Indians are taking over your jobs. Have some shame. Nigeria is bad, yet you do not know that Nigeria is better than certain countries. The only difference is that Nigerians are employed and they defraud their organizations, hindering growth and killing the organizations. For your information, Mr. Little Knowledge, our environments are cleaner. The same black and dirty gutters that you have all over the country, you find in India. Open defarcation is a norm. They have the largest population of stray dogs worldwide and the largest of flies worldwide. The same keke all over. Just as you reject torn and defaced currency notes, they do the same, etc. The only edge they have is the possession of nuclear weapons. Just as corruption is the order of the day in your country, you find the same and more in India. Now, just as the Hindus practice their religion with over 70%, Christians and Muslims practice theirs along with the Sikhs, Buddhists, Jainists, Zoroastrianists, etc, carry on theirs. All habit peacefully and prosper together. Say NO to your myopic life. Wake up, study and stop allowing fellow youths who are empty headed to confuse you more with their poor information. |
jobark:Now that you have found out, you may please correct your initial comment so that people who read it may not be misled. Thank you very much for responding. Have a good day. |
jobark:Please stop misleading yourself and the gullible. If you have no knowledge of how these things happen, please ask and stop confusing people with this your yeye “copy and paste”, as they are called. Your attached simply refers to MDAs only. That circular from Boss Mustapha was to correct those below ministers in the MDAs. Ministers are political appointees and governors are elected and empowered by the constitution. Whose job is more respected? Even councillors have more mouths than ministers, as they are elected. Ministers can be sacked with little or no excuse. All governors have their red pens, just as they all use the green, black and blue depending on the need and occasion to sign off. Go and check. |
seunmsg:We need a saviour in Lagos. If for nothing, but at least rescue us from the daily harm of touts and extortionists. Traders are lamenting. Citizens are crying. Agege crossing is a disgrace. Idumota area is a disgrace. May I remind you that there places in Lagos called: Amukoko Okokomaiko Bariga Ajegunle Old Ojo road Ijagemo Ijedodo Water side Shibiri Makoko Igbo Elerin, All the faeces polluted environments, etc. Are they not parts of Lagos state or they do not deserve good governance from the trillions of IGR? Why not remove the moth in your eyes before attempting to remove the log in somebody else’s. If not for shamelessness, by this age and time, with all the resources contributed from the purses of the federal government and other parts of Nigeria, you should be comparing Lagos with cities like Johannesburg, Cairo and Rabat, in Africa. As it stands, you cannot even compare Lagos with Kigali in Rwanda, in terms of civilization and developments. After all, long before Independence, Lagos was the federal capital. After the creation of Abuja, Lagos was retained as the commercial capital, with all its due rights and privileges accorded. Which other state in the country, aside from Abuja, has enjoyed the status of Lagos? Use your common sense and stop disgracing yourself here. There you are polluting this thread with your usual worthless tribal sentiments, as if you are even a Lagosian. Most of you who boast on this forum with Lagos are from one tiny and dirty hamlet, where your parents trekked to Lagos from. Surely shame will not permit you to mention the name of your community. Gbadebo Rhodes, just like every other citizen has the right to contest the governorship of Lagos and as he has just mentioned, he will contest, if he is given the ticket. Every Nigerian has the right to contest for seats wherever they find popularity and the ability in the entire country. Lazy youths like you, rather than look out for how to make our societies better, choose the tribal destructive path. You hail Tinubu as a Yoruba man and yet he is the President of the entire nation. Why is he not the President of the SW only? How has your tribalistic comment reduced his status as the President of the entire nation? Or how had the reduced the respect that he commands nationwide as the President and C in C? You have never been to Anambra state and I can bet that in your entire life, you cannot venture out of that your tiny hamlet to visit other cities and states. Definitely you do not have the financial ability for such journey. Your usual Korope and keke Marwa are your best transportation financial levels. Why not compare Anambra state with Bauchi, Benue, Borno and Oyo states, which were created the same year?Osun state has a far bigger landmass than Anambra state. Look at the present state of Osun state as we speak. You should be ashamed of the state. Why not compare the governors and see who’s faring better? You are a complete disgrace. Shame on you. |
westlius:Ahhhhh. Mr. Armchair builder. 1 bag or cement for 45 blocks? Kuku complete am 100 blocks! |
harqinhola:With plenty of change if on very good soil. Use that for a four bedroom duplex instead. |
Now the governor can use this as his route to remove all opposition local government chairmen. Rather than fight the Supreme Court over the very clear decisions, the councillors can be induced to remove their chairmen and appoint their party men into such positions. One thing: the said councillors must be ready for litigations. |
They are lucky to be standing. In some areas they would not be standing with their two legs, as their bones would have been shattered using pestles. |
Please forward these Bible verses to him. He may find them useful, if he will not allow unnecessary grammar confuse him: “Everything is permissible for me, - but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible for me, - but I will not be mastered by anything. … Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? … Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:12–20) “I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God; this is your reasonable service. Do not conform any longer to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (Romans 12:1–2) We are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they will be my people. Therefore come out from among them and be separate” says the Lord. “Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty. Since we have these promises, dear friends, LET US PURIFY OURSELVES FROM EVERYTHING THAT CONTAMINATES BODY AND SPIRIT, perfecting holiness out of reverence of God. (2 Corinthians 6:16- 7:1) |

So sad. So tragic. Priesthood in freedom has come to an end. May God show mercy. |
Waoh. Fubara truly means business. Hopefully all funds are used to make Rivers state better than when he took over from Nyesom Wike. |

FearlessYoruba:Oponu. Onigbe lenu. Maybe you need to be told or you can find out by yourself that you are from a generation of slaves. Even dirty gutter rats are better off than you stinking fellow. |

comper India to Nigeria is a complete waste of time replying u
