Ok Desperate Girls what and who are you desperate for? love? men? success? To say one is desperate implies that one is depressed and prepared to do anything as in compromising themselves to get whatever they are desperate for. Da Brat=Bad Girl. The name suggests that one is mischievous, goes against the norm and tough. A good thing for all those feminists out there, especially the lesbians and guys who like butch girls. Spice Girls = A different spice for everyone to spice up their lives. (from dictionary) an element providing interest and excitement. PussyCat Dolls = Sexy and alluring. When men hear the words Pussy Cat, they think of something alluring, soft, gentle, feminine and inviting. Well at least most men in the Western hemisphere do. Then there is the colloquial definition of 'Pussy' which tends to send men crazy with excitement. Desperate girls= (taken from Oxford Dictionary) 1 feeling, showing, or involving despair. 2 extremely bad or serious: violent or dangerous. Then again, the name could be a tribute to the comedy show 'Desperate Housewives' but the music doesn't suggest that as it appears to like they are trying to be serious artists but no one is going to take them seriously with a name like that. |

He probably has lot more cash stashed away in Nigeria that the charity commission couldn’t touch or investigate. I mean if it is £120,000 of his birthday alone then what else? I am sure that is just the tip of the iceberg. I clearly remember attending KICC in Hackney as a student. Mr Ash in his Italian suits and snake skin shoes would ask the congregation for £200. He asked for those who could give £200 to stand up and raise their hands and people started holding up their credit cards and cheque books. Mr Ash then proceeded to pray for those people only. That more or less told me that if I didn’t have £200 to spare then I couldn’t receive prayer and neither was I worthy to be in Church. I am glad he was investigated and I hope they continue to monitor him because questions need to be asked. |

Kobojunkie: LoL@ you trying to be sarcastic. To clarify the new strategy I was thinking about involved making the place more accessible to ALL Nigerians and not just those that can afford to buy non-fake designer wares and goods. There is always going to be shortage of such stores and shops to fill a development as vast as Tinaba, never mind customers but I am sure there is no shortage of the regular MamaPuts, carpenters and whatnots to open up shop there. Give the place some life so to speak and welcome all Nigerians not just the super rich ones. That strategy doesn't cost billions of naira. Sure the developers will lose money but at least they will have some trickling in. My vision was more of a an all purpose indoor market like Tejusho in Lagos but with a little bit of class. It is far removed from the western model of shopping malls but it would probably work and be successful as well as beneficial to the average Nigerian. |
Politics / Re: "Nobody Goes To Nigeria"-"biggest White Elephant Ever" by EloSela(f): 9:33am On Apr 13, 2009 |
Tinapa looked impressive on paper. I had great hopes for it. They desperately need to come up with a new strategy to get the place moving. If this place is going to cater to the average Nigerian then a new shopping model needs to be developed that will get Nigerians visiting and shopping. Do away with the western model as that won't work in a Nigerian setting. |

FBS: Of course there are going to be some but the majority will still an issue with it. America, for the most part is a Christian country with a good few who are deeply religious. To see their representative bowing down to a Muslim King when he barely did the the same to a Christian Queen who also just happens to be the Head of a major church will not do hime any favours especially when he claimed that to be a Christian. Then there are those whose perspective of the POTUS is that he is the 'Leader of the free world' and whether you like it or not the 'Leader of the free world' prostrating to another Leader of the Muslim world is a major disrespect to the US. Agreed that America has bigger fish to fry with the economy crisis but I can just see Osama Bin Laden bringing out another video insulting America e.g. "The filthy capitalist American pigs have finally been brought to these knees!" and using that very clip to prove his point. This chicken will surely come home to roost later. On a personal note, Obama didn't have to do that OTT bow to the King. Some Arabs already see black Africans as inferior beings and so to see a Black man who is the Head of State of a powerful country bow down to their King won't do anything to correct that false image they already have of us. |

Obama bowing to the King of Saudi sends out the wrong message. Excuse me if this sounds like religious bashing as that is not my intention but didn't Obama claim that he was a Christian? So he meets the Christian Queen of England who is also the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, the mother church of the Anglican Communion and Episcopal churches which has over 100 million leaders worldwide but doesn't bow even though he is on her home turf. Then he meets the Saudi King, not on his home turf who is also protector of two of the holiest mosques in the world and of the holiest lands of Mecca and Medina and bows like his life depends on it. Is he a closet Muslim? If he is a Muslim then there is absolutely nothing wrong with that but why the transparency? Something isn't right |

A-town: If you think I am going to take the mumbo jumbo as fact then you are even more stupid than I thought. Again PROVIDE SOME HARD CORE PROOF that there are Brits Lebanese or the other nationals you mentioned who are illegal immigrants in Nigeria. Post an article or some stats from an official site, publication or other to prove that the dribble you posted is not just a lot of hot air and gas drummed up in support of the illegal Nigerians in the UK. Do that or you shut the F!UCK UP you biscuit headed fool!! That being said, if there are illegals of any country in Nigeria then they need to go home to. I do not support illegal immigration in any shape or form as I said initially. Why is it is so hard for some Nigerians on here to comprehend that a black person can also have such views? I am off to enjoy Christmas with my family now but I will back after a few days to respond to any more drivel that you may care to post. |
Politics / Re: “I’ll Rather Die Here Than Go Back To Nigeria” Nigerian Man To Uk Immigration by EloSela(f): 6:41pm On Dec 24, 2008 |
A-town:@ To reiterate, my folks were never illegal. There are plenty of Nigerians who legally apply for residency for the various countries they wish to reside in and emigrate there legally. Furthermore do you even know the difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL Why bring up Nigerians who are legally in the UK on tourist or student visas and equate them with being an illegal immigrant. Do you stupidly think that every Nigerian who leaves Nigeria really has an agenda to stay away for good? How old are you? 12? Illegal Britons in Nigeria I don't think so. Try again and this time post some proof because you are beginning to sound like a madman on crack. The only illegal aliens in Nigeria are probably the ones from Mali, Niger and other neighbouring African countries. In case you didn't know more often than not the foreigners you see around Lekki are probably expatriates from varying countries whose multinational employers would have made it their legal duty to ensure that their staff have the right visas. Stop trying to make out like Nigeria is some paradise roaming with oyibo illegal immigrants. I am sure that if a citizen from a western or developed country wanted to reside anywhere then the LAST place they would consider would be Nigeria. Furthermore the last time I checked you weren't responsible for my electricity or internet bill so you really shouldn't concern yourself about what I post on here or even embarrass yourself by trying to tell me how to post. KarmaMod: Frustrated cranky bitch. Get yourself that Love Machine and shut the sleep with up, tired retarded heffa! A-town: I don't do dog-faced bitches. But if you really are concerned for her frustrated ass I will put an offer on the table to take the heffalump to the Battersea Dogs home so that all those Hot old stray dogs can have their way with her. That should help relieve the uptight bulldyke no doubt! Especially since she refuses to invest in that Love Machine. oyb: You obviously can't count. @ Karmasod Yes you dog faced watermelon blubber lipped bitch, the UK is the best place in the world and that is why you can't seem to stop you cantankerous bitter ass from making dumb spiteful comments in each and every thread that just happens to have the 'UK' in its title. That is also the reason why you can't seem to stop running your filthy mouth and busting a gut to criticise British Nigerians like your life depends on it. You really are just one frustrated uptight and bitter HAG! I say the sooner you employ the services of that rabbit(read Love Machine) the better as you really do sound like you are just another pathetic excuse for human life. I suppose your nigger, jiggaboo or whatever that thing you call a father is, is the one to blame for that. Pataki: I doubt that there are any employers in the UK that would risk employing a person without papers. That aside the man in the video gave a false name when arrested and so it is more than likely that he had false ID in that name and was employed with it. About your friend who you claim was granted the right to stay after being held in detention for a few weeks: rolls eyes Was he granted the right to stay in the UK indefinitely or was there a limit given to the amount of stay or not? Stop dancing around the houses and answer the question! You previously used the argument that implied that one could simply give themselves up to the authorities after being on the run for 14 years and then be granted the 'right to stay'. Why would you even use this friend's story to defend your stance if they were only given the 'right' to 'limited' stay @A-town My folks were never illegal In Columbus' time did visas even exist? Did the United States exist?. . .Now if they did you would have a point but as it stands you have nowt! Illegal Europeans and Lebanese in Lagos yeah right! I doubt that but if it is true then they need to take their asses back home too. tpia: . . .And you spend to much time in denial. Are you an illegal alien in New Zealand? landis: Don't get involved sour puss and stick to the topic . . .If you want to talk about why your leaders swindled their nations money into foreign bank accounts you can start your own thread and discuss it until you are blue in the face for all I care! Pataki: Pataki the man absconded and is more than likely using false documents to continue working in the UK hence the reason why the Police are now involved. This man has labelled himself by failing to comply with the rules of the land that he wishes to live in. In case it escaped you, it is a criminal offence in the UK to use or to be in possession of false documentation.
Here is the act in full: http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk/content.aspx?LegType=All+Legislation&title=Identity+Cards+Act+2006&searchEnacted=0&extentMatchOnly=0&confersPower=0&blanketAmendment=0&sortAlpha=0&TYPE=QS&PageNumber=1&NavFrom=0&parentActiveTextDocId=2321581&ActiveTextDocId=2321616&filesize=7326 The above in effect makes every illegal immigrant using false documents to work a criminal under British law. You know good and well that you were not referring to 'limited leave to remain' when you told that story about your friend. You clearly state that after a few weeks he was granted the right to stay in the UK, the key word here being 'right'. That being said can you also explain the difference between having the 'right to stay in the UK' and 'indefinite leave' please? |
Politics / Re: “I’ll Rather Die Here Than Go Back To Nigeria” Nigerian Man To Uk Immigration by EloSela(f): 9:19am On Dec 23, 2008 |
KarmaMod: Nah, talking about your coon of a father whose name you can't seem to stop calling up in here you dim-witted bitch. Pataki: These are your very words. After weeks of detention and all sorts of procedures, following his honesty and sincerity, he was granted a right to stay in the UK. If I'm honest I will now say that I wasn't entirely clear on the 14 immigration rule and but I have now looked it up. Now, going by your statements one would believe that they have a guaranteed right to remain in the UK under the 14 year LRC rules when that is far from the truth. Here are the facts:
http://www.ncadc.org.uk/resources/residence.html So going by the above the man in the video has already shot himself in the foot by absconding and as the police are involved he is now a wanted criminal. Also taking the above into consideration, plenty of illegal Nigerians use false documentation to work and so there isn't a chance in hell that they would be given leave to remain after illegally breaking the law for 14 years. Again, looking at the bigger picture, what did the man in the video achieve? |

Pataki: In the documentary it stated clearly that the case had now been referred to the police and so that means it is now a police matter; a criminal matter. If you knew anything about the UK then you would also know that more often than not each government body works independently of the other. My point being that if immigration felt that this case had nothing to do with the police whose duty it is to help restore law and order to society then they wouldn't have referred the case to them. It is a well known fact that in order for an illegal immigrant to become legal they must go back to their own country on their own accord and expense in order to apply for the proper visa there. In the UK , there is currently no such amnesty in place which allows an illegal immigrant to give themselves up so that they can go through the proper procedures in order to be granted indefinite leave to remain like that. That would not only make a complete mockery of the system but also be highly unfair to those who had chosen to go through the proper channels in order to legally live and work in the UK. Given that fact I don't believe one bit of the story about your friend as there is no way they would have been granted indefinite stay in the country by simply walking into the police station. As I have said there are others who have taken the time to go through the proper channels so why would he be rewarded for breaking the law? Especially when respect of the law of the land is the fundamental rule of citizenship? |
Politics / Re: “I’ll Rather Die Here Than Go Back To Nigeria” Nigerian Man To Uk Immigration by EloSela(f): 12:57am On Dec 23, 2008 |
chiogo: You don't know for certain either, so I guess we can disagree on that. The fact remains however, that there are more Nigerian born individuals who reside legally in the UK than there are illegal ones. This proves my point that if others can follow the correct legal procedures in order to gain legal residency regardless of how long it takes, then so can everybody else. Those who choose to break the rules without proper cause to do so should be treated accordingly. If that man really feared for his life then he should have applied for asylum instead of absconding at the first chance he got. I am not involving you in anything, I just made a comment. You on the other hand should try not to get involved if that is not your intention. Shaz: So you reprimand me and not Karma mod? Are you guys in some sort of clique or something Just goes to prove you ain't genuine. Furthermore, I will cuss anyone out who choose to approach me in a negative name calling manner. It may seem immature to you but I tend to feel very good when I give as good as I get. I am also not trying to be a comedienne and so your 'funny' comment has been totally lost on me. |

chiogo: And herein lies the problem with Nigerians. Always taking short cuts, breaking the law in the process and at the same time demanding to be treated like law abiding citizens. Your point is mute! If other Nigerians can go through the correct visa process and wait their time, whether it takes five years or less then so can others. There should be no special allowances for people who choose to break the law. Even if it does take five years to get another visa then it takes five years. Deal with it and stop trying to illegally obtain what you are not entitled to. Again what is the point of living life on the run when one can simply go home to Nigeria and make a better life for themselves. I see you and Dog face aka Karma mod are buddies? hmmmmmmm |

chiogo: Please. . .Everybody has a choice, whether one is a Nigerian or otherwise. Nigeria is the land of opportunities. . .or so I read every day on Nairaland. I tend to have more respect for the Nigerians who enter the country on a 3 month visa (used to be 6) and then work (albeit illegally) but go back home when their time is up, applying again after some time so that they restart the process again. I feel such Nigerians are more beneficial to the Nigerians and the economy in Nigeria as they often start businesses to help themselves and their families. Some even get themselves in a better position financially to send their Nigerian born children abroad on legitimate student visas and paid fees who will in turn return to Nigeria as educated professionals. I don't know how the illegal immigrant in the video clip plans to better himself while he is on the run from immigration and the police and constantly looking over his shoulder and so my view still stands. You don't really believe that he would be killed once he landed in Nigeria do you? |

B.O.S.S.: He has a choice to go back home or to be on the run for the rest of his life. Which would you choose? tpia: The term 'parasite' wouldn't stick too firmly on a legal tax paying citizen. I referred to the illegal immigrant as a parasite because even though he is 'working' he has no right to do so in the UK. I also doubt that he is paying taxes because of his current status would only afford him a job earning around £7000 or so a year and in the UK one doesn't get taxed on such low wages. People like him probably work two or three such jobs under different IDs and do not pay any tax at all because the annual salaries don't meet the threshold; Three such jobs do add up to quite a tidy sum, tax free. Then he probably uses the NHS and other free amenities at will so yeah to reiterate illegal immigrants are parasites and should be deported with a quickness! Call it cruel but the truth hurts. I also don't think it is my responsibility to worry about the types of leaders Nigeria has because the way I see it, such leaders are the product of their environment. It is down to Nigerians in Nigeria to sort out their own issues instead of illegally seeking to reside in countries that they have no right to be in. I have no sympathy for such Nigerians who will take short cuts and jump through hoops of fire to get to the UK or the US but won't take the time out to persevere and go through the proper channels in order to obtain the proper documentation to live where they want. There are plenty of Nigerians that have taken the proper route to get where they want to be in their host countries of choice and most are not all from rich Nigerian families either. |

@tpia I don't believe in illegal immigration whether it be Nigerians or any other nationality. Now Legal immigrants I have respect for because from when one decided to take the necessary steps and the time involved to go about legalizing their right to stay in a country of their choice they do so with the best intentions. Illegal immigrants often falsely go ahead and apply for visitor's visas when they have every intention of overstaying their welcome. Then when they are caught they not only act like they have done nothing wrong, but also tell fantastic lies and start blubbering like the man in the video did, claiming that they their passports are lost or have been sent back to Nigeria and about how they are afraid for their lives if they go back there. If you are offended then there is nothing that I can do about that as I just don't support illegal immigration and neither do I support liars. |
