CelebritiesRe: Kenyan Reporter Shades Nigeria As Zuckerberg Leaves Nigeria For Kenya by ElSherriff: 12:14am On Sep 02, 2016
Forever on our trail...bloody kenyans, so black they cant be seen in a fluorescent lit room. The moment the evolutionists saw Kenyans they 'confirmed' monkeys started the human race. Nigeria has slid into recession yet we have enough money to buy facebook, employ Mark Zuckerberg and make Uhuru Kenya**a his cabbie. So fake you even coming into our nairaland to talk nansense...if you guys were to develop your own 'land' it would be 'shillingland' guess what? we dumped the shillings with our colonial masters a zillion years back. Ozuoooo

PoliticsRe: Buhari Orders Lagos-kano Railway To Pass Through Ekiti by ElSherriff: 8:32pm On Sep 01, 2016
So Ekiti will be grateful because the president used Nigeria's money and told experts to re-route the railway through Ekiti? And this senator says its magnanimity? Ok...It would have warranted more gratitude if the president donated his personal money or took a pencil and drew the plan himself. We celebrate mediocrity too much! Nigeria is in Recession and the lanky ol'man won't even address the nation and he has done this very simple thing that requires zero intellects and you come here talking nonsense. Mtchewwww.

PoliticsRe: Emergency Powers Bill: LCCI, MAN, NLC, Others Back Buhari’s Proposals by ElSherriff: 8:30am On Aug 23, 2016
Even when such bills are in the best interest of the country, there are elements who will find a way to criticize it down the drain. My only worry is that the different sections he hopes to tackle within the emergency power bill, have laws backing their proper execution. The Nigerian problem is not a lack of law, it is a lack of willingness to adhere to the law and the notorious brilliance (or cunning) to cir-cum navigate the existing law. Where Governors have been seen to divert funds with legal backing as to their disbursement, they are also backed by the same legal system to avoid prosecution! where workers in the civil service could have been employed as direct hire workforce, you cant trust they wont find a loop hole to divert funds. In the end, we may just be turning around in big circles.

I was a Ph.D student at 26 too, and yes I had no job then...when you make a 2.2 unfortunately from a university, decide to keep pursuing an academic career, you can be caught up in the situation too and inbetween, being intelligent does not necessarily mean having a business acumen. Am still a Ph.D student but I earn these days. So give the sister some positive energy, I know what she's going through as I have been there.
Stephrocks:
PHD at 26? If that's true she's gold in any university this her advert looks shakey.

If you have money to do masters and PHD you are bold enough to start a business of your old and there are few PHD holders at 26 the is more to her story for now i am not buying this story.

ethene:
@ Elsheriff what u said is true in a way but not completely. I wil disagree wit u where u said ppl 4rm states wit low allocatns need 2 score xceptionally high 2 get in2 the merit list, wht u will say is ppl 4rm states wit high allocations hv more chances than their colleagues 4rm low states dependin on the performance of others 4rm same state or lga; it is structured in a way that slots are allocated 2 each state & the chances of somebody 4rm one state is totally independent of anoda 4rm the other states. For instance somebody wit a low score say 55/100 4rm a state with two slots but wit no othr person in his state scorin up 2 55(evn though low) stands a bettr chance than anoda person wit say 90/100 4rm a given state wit 20 slots with 30 persons scoring between 92-95 out of 100. 2ndly cross river is not among states wit high slots evn Imo & Edo have higher slots than cross river.
We are basically saying the same thing in different languages. Say I have scored 75 and am from a small quota state, my chances are slimmer than someone with 75 from a high quota State. So to even stand a chance, I need score exceptionally high to get into a merirt list with a general design. Say I score 92-95, irrespective of the quota in my State, I can get into the merit list. The merit list isnt State by State. Dunno what Cross-River has got, I was only quoting my source. Thanks Ethene.
EducationRe: NDDC POST-GRADUATE FOREIGN SCHOLARSHIP 2015 by ElSherriff: 7:18am On Jul 09, 2015
I have been on Nairaland just to look up news on NDDC scholarship and thank you to the genuine chaps who post sincere news for the update of those concerned.
I can reliably inform all that the list is still with the consultant, but not for long as they are done with their bit and will submit to the NDDC in the coming week.
The source also hinted that there are plenty candidates with high scores and the only way to be home and dry is when you score say 80-85/100, made a good B.Sc (for MSc. students) and come from a State with high quota (Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Cross River).
For those from low quota States (Edo, Imo, etc) then you must be very very high scoring to get into the merit list.
The final score is an aggregate of the CBT and Oral interview and people generally made lower oral interview grades (Common we all know how 'scanty' the sessions were in terms of depth and details from interviewers-in my case, i got an answer correctly and they shouted me down! they didnt even know the answer.).
As of now, if you do not fall into the merit category, my advice is for you to assume the worst and look forward-a pleasant surprise wont hurt you later.
Finally, the change agenda being preached by PMB has not gotten to the eggheads at NDDC as there is a high chance of 'Nigerianess' in the selection process. I just wish only people who indeed merit the scholarships eventually get them.
Finally, Ph.Ds stand a better chance of entering as overall Ph.D candidates are fewer than MSc. but then again, the Ph.D slots are fewer.
Peace be unto y'all. ElSherriff Al Farwaz.

nice pics o.p, it shows that the whites didnt do much for the naija people, they just came to exploit africa for riches.
Do you see the types of buildings that were erected? Till this day they can compete with any in the world.
yet you say the whites did nothing...the theft the Nigerians entrusted with leading this nation carried out is much more than that of the whites.
