See a speech therapist or a hypnotist. |
kingzizzy:Exactly the same thing they said about Ojukwu. They said they had to beg and plead with him to run away and abandon them so that he won't die. I guess nobody pleaded with Mandela right? It's so easy to fool you guys. |
Everybody is unsheathing their swords all because some celebrity guy proposed to another celebrity actress ![]() Can we pause this discussion and continue when they've celebrated at least 20years of marital life?. Then we can hold them up as role models. Thank you. |
HisSexcellency:What happens to his colleagues who are still in jail? What about those who died for him? |
Now, this is an absolutely brilliant write up. Can we compare Nnamdi Kanu's actions with that of Odumegwu Ojukwu. Can we see the similarities? Ojukwu abandoned his people and fled. When he started the war, didn't he think that there was a possibility that he might die for what he believed in? If the federal forces were indeed out to annihilate the Igbos, the people he left behind would all have died then. Fast forward to today. Nnamdi Kanu has abandoned his colleagues who were jailed with him. Now that he is free, what about those who died for the cause. The youths who were shot during the protest? This is proof that when push comes to shove, beating your chest online is not enough. Nnamdi Kanu will abandon his people. That's for sure. But what do I know, right? |
And Why should they relocate? So that you can keep bombing their facilities and kidnapping their personnel? Dumb! |
donaldinho111:You mean the perpetually drunk buffoon? |
onatisi:Very wrong. He should resign his position as president. This will quell that insane "born to rule " mentality of the north and the stupid reasoning of our politicians that the heavens will fall If they resign from office. Mr Buhari needs to resign now! VP Osinbajo should take over with immediate effect. If the North wants to implode Let it go right ahead. We will pick up the pieces and ship to China. |
This doesn't make any sense. ![]() What now happens If you end up dating his younger brother hoping to marry him, and you come face to face with him during family introductions? Just tell him "NO! " politely. What's so hard there? People like me will not even wait for you to tell him no. Your body language is enough to show the way out. Ara mi ko iwosi. ![]() |

mandax:That's my fear too. |
That must be Bukuru camp. Did my orientation there. I hope the guy won't turn the girl to Lord of the Rings o. Why not wait until you come back to reality and get a job before proposing, unless of course a job is already waiting for you. |
Odingo1:How old are you boy? Go and read what the Nigeria constitution say about the line of succession. I debate intelligently, I hope you'll do the same. This is not the place for measuring d1cks. ![]() |
[quote author=Stewie101 post=56209905] Sigh. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The claim about Adam is an extraordinary claim, because it's the foundation of a belief system millions of people subscribe to. It wouldn't hurt to ascertain the validity of such a claim. The key word is belief underpinned by "faith" which in case you aren't aware is held in trust that what you believe is true, not because you can prove it but because you decide that it's what you want to believe in. As a rational being, you eventually will believe in something once you reach the age of reason. What that is is up to you. I think your brain analogy is a very poor one. Mind you, I have see human brain before. I did a bit of anatomy in the university. Even if I haven't, lots of people have. There is a mountain of documented evidence that a brain exists and that it exists in exactly the kind of way it's been described in the textbooks. You really need to work on your analogies.Agreed. It Probably is a poor analogy, especially for someone who might have done some anatomy in school which is a very minute percentage of humans anyway. I haven't seen the human brain before But you are asking me to trust the research of other people and what they've written because...? If they are human, then I know for sure that they can make mistakes, lie, hide the truth and so on. So according to your statement, unless I can prove it myself I shouldn't believe it. But here's another one. You've never seen gravity before have you? But you believe it exists because the scientists say so. Well, who knows If it's something else holding us to the earth preventing us from floating away? Furthermore more, Adam is just a religious figure among other religious figures. If your argument is anything to go by, then we should also dignify the claim of every other religion about the history of humanity. I suppose you also take the Egyptian Isis and Osiris tales as factual, since they can't be disproved? And I suppose you also accept the claims of every other religion describing the origins of mankind as factual?#sigh. Adam isn't a religious figure as such. The name may be peculiar to Judaeo-Christian and Islamic religions But trust me other traditions also teach that humans are descended from a pair. The names may defer, but the number and type usually doesn't. A male and a female pair. I subscribe to the Catholic religion and it's teachings so I believe not necessarily because I can prove or verify all the claims made by the Church But because I as a human bring with freewill choose to believe. I don't subscribe to the Egyptian takes of Osiris and the rest, so I choose not to believe them. Adam may or may not be the first human, but I choose to believe he is the first human who procreated and churned the rest of us out of his loins. It's logical to think that the human race descended from a pair, male and female and until there's an incontrovertible proof to the contrary, that's what I as a rational being with a God-ordained freewill has decided to believe. Now, did you say you want to prove that Adam wasn't real? I'm listening... |
olabrad:Exactly my fear too. Should have done so when he had it in him. ![]() |
odduduwa:Waris dis one saying now? ![]() Anyway, I didn't expect much. Logical thinking is a herculean task for most of you. |
