ificatchmodeh:I'm sure I have. ![]() |
ificatchmodeh:I mentioned easterners in his government and not the entire region didn't I? The lady I quoted was the one who brought up the issue of Easterner and Westerner. It is a matter of fact that the women closest to Jonathan's government helped him ruin his government. whether it is a coincidence that most of them were easterners is discussion for another day. As to how many of the easterners have been jailed? You know the saying, the wheels of justice grinds slowly but surely. I just hope that when they are jailed you won't be the first to cry witch-hunt. And to the recession you mentioned, I guess we'll have to keep reminding you guys that your hero was the one that put us in this mess. You really shouldn't be gloating when someone else is trying to clean up your mess should you? The players are still on the field in first half you're wondering why they haven't won the match yet ? |
Well you can't blame the president for trying to help his people. When a certain ineffectual buffoon was there all he did was drink spirit and share the money amongst his friends. To clean up the oil spillage in the area so his peeps could have a livelihood of sorts became a herculean task for the mumu. Yet some misguided teenagers will come here and start shouting"hero". You'd think they were mad or something. I won't blame Buhari if he attempts to help the herdsmen after all its a national problem. Whether that is right or not is another ball game entirely. |

He should ask his boss when is he going to cut ponmo next. |
MadamExcellency:The easterners he put in power were his undoing. They helped him fail even though we know the man didn't have an iota of leadership running in his vain. Just a complete buffoon he was and his eastern ladies took advantage of that. They used the opportunity to milk the nation dry. So sad. |
rlauncher:I'm actually writing a book concerning old Oyo empire and yes I've done extensive research. Of course there are abuses of the institution as there'll always be in any human institution, yet I think there are good aspects of our respective culture that can come to play in our socio-politico life in Nigeria. Democracy isn't for everybody. The Arab countries seem to be doing well, and most of them are oil producing like Nigeria. They aren't practising democracy. Same with China and some other countries in the orients. Even our colonial masters practise a form of democracy that's quite different from that of America. A total overhaul of the Nigerian political structure is what's needed right now. Let's evolve our own. Who knows maybe ours would be the standard for the world in the future. Can you imagine people are still stealing ballot boxes in this day and age. As long as we continue this democracy stuff Nigeria won't make much progress. My opinion though. |
nijanigga:Absolutely. |
rlauncher:I agree with most of your assertions. After practicing democracy for this long all we get is retrogression, and rabid politicians. The people are worse off than when they we're under the colonial masters. Our society is so fractured that to lead a reasonable revolution is out of the question. If we continue like this, trust me it's only a matter of time before the military boys come back. We haven't reached that place where we can be rest assured that such can never happen. All we see are old impotent politicians deciding the fate of young virile men. The UAE is not operating a democracy is it? Yet Dubai is a world tourist centre. Maybe our democracy needs a lot of tweaking, where we blend the western style of democracy with our own style of monarchy. The result may be a pleasant surprise. In the old Oyo Empire, if the king, the Alaafin commits a crime the people will demand for his head and traditionally he is required to commit suicide immediately. Our systems aren't all backwards as such. All I'm saying is let's evolve our own form of governance. We don't have to do it the oyinbo way. If we are able to cut out the necessity for the arm of government called the legislature, that I'm sure will be nice. I don't see the reason why a bunch of thrives and rogues should be making laws for us anyway. |
nijanigga:I'm in agreement with you. Even apart from the spill, it has been discovered that mining natural resources makes the government lazy and unproductive compared with if they have to find other ways to sustain the economy. I'd prefer an economy based on real manufacturing and trade than natural resources based. |
She's quite pretty. |
At least this is better than the tin contraption some people put together telling us they built a car or tricycle or something. Lol. |
nijanigga:I detect painment here. Are you by chance from the land of the rising sun or from the land of the black gold? |
If all these bullcrap is because some spoilt brat can't have his way anymore in manipulating our lives then I think it's time we tell ourselves the truth. Inasmuch as we are grateful to Tinubu and others who fought hard to depose the satanic PDP party from maintaining it's strangle hold on Nigeria and Nigerians, we must insist that for this Democratic experiment to work in Nigeria they and other so-called big men of Nigerian political landscape should take it all down a notch otherwise everything will be ruined. The fact that some select set of elites in the country can handpick leaders for us to follow sheepishly is unacceptable. The era of god-fatherism should have died with adedibu. Frankly speaking I don't think African nations can do well under a democracy. Maybe it is time for Nigeria to metamorphose into a kingdom or an empire state the king should be chosen after a series of rigorous physical and mental hurdles have been passed. |
A lot is expected of our girls these days to maintain a stable home and a perfect home to raise children in. But with all these anomalies(apologies) walking around in micro-mini see through gowns on our streets, faces painted like everyday is halloween, chasing after money and the"snake in our trousers"like their lives depended on them, I can only pity those of us yet to get married. If only one can find a woman with just half the qualities raised by op, then a man will be rest assured that he has a partner who's got his back. Watch as most of our ladies here will protest this image of a virtuous woman in favor of a hard-ass, trouble-seeking, man-hating profile. |
fumisko:Lol. You sound like a feminist or a feminazi. Have you ever wondered why the Bible presented and made very prominent the image of a virtuous woman and not a virtuous man? |
OP I understand that the amount of money might be quite substantial to you and you feel let down. You should let it go. That she hasn't paid you back doesn't mean she duped you. Have you considered whether she has been dodging you because she doesn't have that amount? Then you went ahead and cursed her? I'm almost tempted to ask how old are you? But I won't ask. If the amount of money is such that you can forget I'll advise you to send her a message that you realise that maybe she is having a hard time paying back and that she shouldn't bother. And wish her well. Life's too short to harbour grudges. Besides you don't know if 20years from now your child will need a life changing favor and she'll be the one to do it. N2000 may seem much to you now but in a year's time it won't really matter anymore. But ouve already cursed her. ![]() |
step1:Puhleeze...! Spare us. Stronger men have fallen in the hands of these jezebels. You think it's by your power or goodness? Just be grateful that God still sees fit to grant you his grace otherwise... Some men would have finished raping their 15year old maid before their eyes will clear. Personally I'd rather get into the kitchen with my wife and do the dishes or something than get a maid. Nobody is above temptation. |
This is just perfect. I couldn't have written it better myself. I wish all married women would frame these points and hang it on their bedroom wall and read it every morning. Getting a maid has become a legitimate reason for many women to abandon their duty post in the home as mother and wife. |
azeecoboy:You're on e-bay. You're about to auction yourself for $5. ![]() |
Don't give up.
|
Because their own parents compared them to other kids when they were younger. |
Superman. |
EfemenaXY: I noticed it too. |
Acheron:OK chief. I'm backing off now and letting you do your thing. ![]() |
Would have given you a great advice guaranteed to make you feel a lot better but unfortunately you didn't give us detail of what happened. Try and narrate how exactly it all happened. ![]() |
Have you ever heard the phrase, "like mother, like daughter"? Well trust me your long distance ish has prevented you from noticing the same in your fiancé. Speak with your significant other face to face about this issue and see how she responds. |
Acheron:Yeah I know. It all starts as play right? ![]() |
Iffffffy:Well nothing to be ashamed of. You can always shed it if you wanna. And if you don'twant to , I'm sure you're living a healthy lifestyle already right? |
