Go and do your findings and I mean serious research and it will blow your mind that only a minute fraction out of 100 men will treat a submissive woman badly.

The problem us that most ladies have been brainwashed to believe in tit for tat even in marriage.

To Kemi her husband may not deserve her submission because she asks for money and he could not provide....for titi maybe her hubby lasts just 2 minutes in bed and that is a ground for disrespect and fir shade it could be his drinking habit that has made her stop submitting to him.

We tend to hear stories of many ladies claiming lack of love but before you call the guy names please find out and you will be amazed that at a point the lady decides to disrespect him.

I don't know how advanced you are in age but I have seen things and I have mediated in many relationship scuffle and in every 9 out of 10 cases it is always the lady that faltered.

If you'd husband does not show you the required love that is not a reason to disrespect him...if you want to leave please do....this is the part you are missing

Please don't ridicule your position. ..the bible makes it clear that men should love their wives and wives must submit to their husbands.

A man has authority over a woman so it is apparent for the lady never ever to expect the man to love her FIRST before she can submit to him.

That is exactly what you are postulating here and it is very wrong.

Loving your wife and wife submitting to her husband is mutually exclusive but on a scale of balance it is only reasonable to expect submission first except of course you want to argue that it is the woman that has authority over the man.

I believe this is logical enough for a sound minded person.

I disagree with you,if their is anything buharis war against corruption has turned up,its the fact that we easterners where fanatic in our support of him even though nothing much came of it to the region.we got no armnesty deal,pipeline contract etc. the lasting legacy of the last admin in the east was the Enugu international airport and maybe the enugu-ph road which it began .i apologise for intruding into a yoruba thread but i wish to state some salient points.the kind of politics we play in the south is detrimental to our region and unfortunately it won't end anytime soon.those of us blaming the Yoruba's for voting buhari are grossly unfair.most states in the east had below 50% turnout so ,we are to be blamed too.I don't see APC disintegrating any time soon at least,untill PDP is no longer a viable opposition.

@OP, submission is different from servitude. There's no evil in a man expecting an earned submission from his wife. A sane and virtuous woman can never denies his altruistic man his well deserved submission. It takes a responsible man to be altruistic.

Ignorance of law excuses no one. All you wrote up there are balderdash (no insult intended towards your person). Your choice of subject word is what made it a balderdash. There's nothing wrong with anyone be it man or woman, but more importantly a man, expecting submission from his wife. The only problem is when a man fails to differentiate submission from servitude, just as you have done here.

Now to the points you raised, I concur that it's only petty, egomaniacal, predacious, domineering men with inferiority complex that demands and expects servitude from their women. They are dictatorial and abhors reason, and denies their women right to exercise their freewill. Even in a circumstance of a decision that would spell doom for them, they had rather live up to a stupid idea just for ego sake, rather than to accept a superior fact from their women.

They are not proponents and practitioners of primus inter pares, rather they are for master-slavery relationship. Also, they don't believe in reciprocation; they expects their women to swallow any form of abuses they meted against them and top it up by worshipping them too. They do no evil.

Submission is good and absolutely mandatory to achieve and sustain a healthy and happy union. But of course, it can't exist on its own; altruism from the man (who's the natural head of the family) must come into been first, before submission from a wife would be expected - organism cannot exist without a membrane.
