okedoyinolabisi:Show of shame gbaaa. I shudder to think that these are the same people that have been ruling their states for the past 8years. Smh. |
If I were the girl, I will just remove my picture and put the mother-in-law's picture there and not say a single word. |
Ozkar:Not anymore. You can be arrested anywhere in the world for indecent exposure if you go on the streets nude. You can't compare the civilized man to the bush man. When the progress is positive then it is to be embraced. Modesty demands we be properly covered up. No need arousing the passions unnecessarily. |
Colonelswitz101: |
MASTERMIND04:Insha Allah. |
Colonelswitz101:Just like you aren't aware of your _imbecilic disposition. I'll remember you in my prayers. In the meanwhile give the phone back to your owners before you hurt yourself. |
introvertme:They will be the first to rush to church and pray for a miracle for their families when the economy takes a nose dive. |
introvertme:It is because most of them were no more than fetuses in their mothers' wombs when Nigeria got democracy in 1999. Many of them were probably wearing diapers when Jonathan was governor of Bayelsa state. You can't blame them. Some who were old enough though, have sold their souls to the devil and as long as the devil feeds them they will do his bidding. |
Colonelswitz101:I think you are very much unwell. Or maybe you are blind in both eyes and can't see his first response to me. If he is your dog, you better chain him to an iroko tree...along with yourself. |
People trying hard to enthrone the same debilitating reign and culture of corruption AGAIN in Nigeria.
|
Ozkar:True I can only speak to the cultural values of the Yoruba people that I am a part of. There was never a time when nudity was acceptable. Not then, and definitely not now. Never mind the influx of borrowed american culture that celebrates nudity and open sexuality. |
GoldChest:And when you lose you'll start shouting biafuru or death like a programmed computer right? |
Nigerians are just shameless. When God was distributing shame during creation, even the plants were there to collect their share, Nigerians were nowhere to be found. How many times has the US called any of your leaders to give stupid speech to aid their electoral process. They don't even invite your leaders or press to witness their presidential debates while other countries are extended an invitation. SHAME! Shows that without the white man Africans can't even rule themselves. The same America that destabilizes the economies of African countries just to keep the continent perpetually a dark continent forever. (Read The Confessions of an Economic Hitman) |
PennywysCares:After you and your entire family members are dead, buried and rotten in the grave. |
ImaIma1:Exactly. ![]() |
PennywysCares:After you and your entire family. |
GoldChest:Lol @ "we". Hallucination is 1. when you think these politicians give a crap about you. 2. When you think Atiku paid so much dollars to PDP delegates at the primaries because he's just simply dying to repair Nigeria so much that he'll pay for an opportunity to serve you. 3. When you think Atiku paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to a PR firm to help him ease his entry into the US only because he has tour interest as the common masses at heart. 4. When you think Atiku will never recoup his money once he gets into power. 5. When you think Atiku is a changed person. |
jasonguru:No it isn't humility. It's just a gathering of thieves. They all have one common goal. Looting. |
Two super mega ultra thieves and destiny looters. They fit each other. Loser raising the hand of another potential, soon-to-be loser. |
ImaIma1:You make valid points madam but I'm an incurable old school kinda person. ![]() Check out that modern baby backer that was posted up there. I think it's a good compromise. Though I agree that if you are in a crowded area you may want to put the baby in front to avoid unnecessary touching. But I think your shoulders and ribcage will thank you if you back your baby more. |
Mumadeife:Unfortunately I don't have the number of any women advocacy group. But if you are on Facebook post your story using this link: https://m.facebook.com/femaleINFIN/ Or just search for Female In Nigeria group on Facebook and post your story there. You'll get a wider audience of women who might be willing and able to reach out to you and help. Keep us posted here of your progress. |

Can you imagine? The man will be taking drugs when he's not sick |
Mindfulness:Legalizing abortion is not the solution to end abortion. Isn't that obvious? What you call a fetus is actually a baby with all the functions of the human being developing. Abortion is murder. The safest place for an unborn child used to be its mother's womb. All lives matter, from the womb to the tomb. |
Those who have aborted a pregnancy should understand that they will be aborted in their mothers' wombs when next they reincarnate to this life. They will feel every moment of the pains of abortion as a fetus in their mothers' wombs. This is the Law of Karma. ![]() |
Nice post. And very helpful too. |
Sorry for your predicament. You are a grown adult and the age of consent in Nigeria is 18...I think. What your family has done is to basically kidnap you. You may need to call other people who you know to wade into this matter. If possible call your pastor and other elders in your family. If this doesn't work, please call the police to rescue you. Dial 911 on your phone and report the emergency. I believe it is toll free. Don't let your family push you to the point of suicide. |
bukatyne:There is a simple reason for this. Most "christians " go to church out of a force of habit. There are atheists or freethinkers who are wonderful companions to their spouses and great parents to their kids. The principle of living is simple for all men. "Do unto others what you want done to you" This Golden rule is even more important between husbands and wives. Just imagine that each spouse treats their better half exactly the same way they want to be treated...just imagine the bliss in that home. That's all what Jesus Christ has commanded his followers to do. Yet we call ourselves Christians and we cheat on our spouses, batter them physically and emotionally and then run to church to sing kumbaya and shout halleluya as means of shutting up our consciences. Going to church eery Sunday or everyday doesn't make you a christian (christ-like) more than standing in your garage at home turns you into a Cadillac. All humans have just one job to do on earth, just one..."Do unto others..." You'd think that was easy enough, right? You have no idea. |
ImaIma1:I think backing the baby is better than carrying in front for obvious reasons. The child is much more comfortable sleeping on your back, facing the direction of movement rather than backing it. If you tripped and fell (hopefully not), the baby in front becomes your soft landing instead of vice versa. There is more pressure on your shoulders and ribcage when you hang the baby from the front. This causes other health issues for the mother. I think there are modern baby backers like the picture above if you don't want to use the traditional "oja". Just my opinion. |
united442:You say you are in your final year, I'd advise you to throw yourself into making sure you graduate without any hitch. Service year is coming up. Lots of girls in NYSC camp. Withdraw your emotional grip on her and focus on why you're in school. Maybe she's even feeling choked by you or maybe she doesn't like a wimp of a guy...or maybe she has already said yes to the other guy. Whichever it is, it is time for a change in strategy. |
All these destiny killers... |
Nudity isn't exactly part of the average African culture. |
