Poor strategy. Investors are usually weary of violence prone environments. That's why even the Western Governments have been advocating dialogue as an alternative to all out armed confrontation. The problem with this is that while you know what you want to achieve, you have no control of the outcome. It may just snowball into something much bigger than you had imagined. A subtle and well managed carrot and stick approach would have been more effective. They should play down on the press. It is unnecessary. |
Is he a Libyan? |
Ibrahim1975:Considering your communication skills in English Language, my doubts just got cleared as to what your decision making skills would be. It is ok for a man without certificate to manage a complex entity like Nigeria. Make una no go school. Dey there dey find government office. |
Please tune to in to ALJAZEERA now to watch this interesting documentary of the history of the religion, then you will understand why Sword and blood are not far from the religion of 'peace'. |
ednut1:In fact I can see 7 Eleven. That is obviously not Nigeria. Last time I saw a gas station with that name I was in Florida. Nigerians must basterdize everything. So because they heard Linda Ikeji made money from blogging people now copy and blog nonsense. |
obilli:I don't let anybody hike with me. It's the job of bus and taxi drivers to move people around not mine. Too bad but a guide that has worked well for me. |
This template should be endorsed by church members on their churches as conditions for paying tithe. |
modath:Correct opinion. They are already losing a lot of money due to reduced importation, cut down in Nigerian visitors, students, investors etc. To show you an example, one of the popular car auction firms witnessed so much decline in imports from Nigeria that they decided to extend the service to allow Nigerian buyers pay in Naira. They are feeling the heat too. Forget we are the ones that underrate ourselves. I don't trust these imperialists completely. |
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/20-things-nigerians-may-experience-in-2016-under-buharis-govt-by-fayose/ These were his predictions regarding the political and economic space in Nigeria for 2016. Do you think he had a psychic preview of what is going on now? |
Michellla:. It is appropriate to either say "you are exempted", or "you are an exception". Please note the difference in usage between the two. Thanks. Please no mischief intended, just being my sister's keeper so I expect only a 'thank you' and not an insult. Cheers. |
Presentation sounds like epididymo orchities. Could have been a result of torsion of the testicle or untreated or poorly treated urinary tract infection. May not respond to treatment with all antibiotics. A doctor is needed urgently. He may give you stuff to reduce the pain and strong suitable antibiotics to deal with the infected testicle. Note that UTI may be contracted through use of unclean public or even private toilet. It is not limited to females and not necessarily sexually transmitted. I have been there and I know cause the doctor initially diagnosed wrongly and I went to study on the net and realized I was right after all. We argued in his office. Finally I went to another physician and complained and he did a better job. If it is torsion, then you are in for surgical intervention. Good luck. I know that pain and it is like hell. Sorry to my doctor colleagues but I query everything you guys tell me. Just one click will do the magic. |

bamite:No. Just that he promised to stabilize it if elected and now he is the President and yet he is yet to stabilize the oil price. Please if you see him, tell him that we are still waiting for him to make true his promise and stabilize the world oil price. Before I forget Mr wise man, please also tell him that managing Nigeria's economy in the 21st century in a global setting is more complicated than rearing cows. Apparently since he left Khaki government 30 years ago, the only other thing he has done is to rear cows and contest for president. |
jakiedudu:Just the same way you murdered grammar here. |

So how come it is difficult for us as a people to put forward our best eleven where it matters most, politics and administration for best results? I personally noticed that most of these lads are southerners but nobody seems to care because they represented us well. If only we can adopt meritocracy in every sphere of our national life... Only God knows the sky would be starting point for us. |
Good one Julius. I'm in already. Now I can convince my wife to agree for a good night out at a Christian club. I hope there will be no oloshos parading half unclad bodies there? Now the challenge is our artistes to produce good sing along and dance-able tunes without the usual lewd ''wine am well and kukere'' lyrics. |
Yeske2:The brain that generated this though must really be amorphous. |
Toktee:This is exactly my thoughts. These guys must have done this to respond to the incessant attacks from Ful*** herdsmen since the government security apparatus could not protect them. My question is ''Are the FULANI KILLERS also surrendering their own weapons? otherwise this would end up being a foolish move. I have learnt that when a peaceful solution is impossible, then a violent response becomes inevitable. Violence when met with more violence is bound to yield to fear and then respect and then peace, even if it is volatile peace. Go and ask the Israelis how they are surviving. If they were doing this no violence response sh**t, they would have been annihilated by now. Benuue people should be wise and not play to the gallery, otherwise they would soon become another JOS forever. |
I think your problem is more of poor mental attitude than lack of jobs. Lawyers are known to be imaginative and creative. You have not convinced me that you possess those qualities. It appears to me your focus while in school was just to pass and have the certificate without taking time to add valuable skills that will be useful for the workplace. In a nutshell, you are not employable, the certificate notwithstanding. Be more creative. Walk into a firm and offer free services. Do some volunteering. In the process, people will begin to take you seriously while you build practical experience. Look for people who need legal services eg writing of agreements, writing of MoUs or even business plans, identify niche areas where you can connect sellers/vendors with potential buyers and make money on commission. Look for people you can represent to manage their brand/services/goods. Do something to solve someones problem and trust me they will pay for the service happily. You need to stop being negative and complaining. You have what it takes in you so rise up and shine. |
DIAMO1:Did you read the article at all? |
Who has bewitched the Nigeria youth of this generation with so much negative attitude and lack of self esteem that people dreaming and doing big things is utopian to them? I'm really disappointed to read most of the rather infantile comments on this thread making mockery of the ambition of a man who ranks as one of the few mortals on earth with over a billion Dollars networth. Something that their 10 generations both gone and unborn can only struggle to even dream of because from the way they are sounding, becoming FIFA president is even too big a dream for them. I think Nairaland should not only create kiddies section but also introduce age restrictions to certain level of topics, like this one. Children should be restricted to comment on topics within their level of apprehension like PS4 and such things, maybe passing UTME and WAEC. This is rather infuriating to the sensibilities of matured people. |
laudate:My brother your head dey there. You know to the uninitiated, once you are in oil industry automatically you can occupy any position. This like deja vu. Exactly the sentiments some of us expressed when the immediate past minister was appointed on account of being a director of external affairs at Shell. An architect by training who never even got involved in managing any oil and gas delivery or related project or facility. Now Baba has brought a lawyer, whose broad based understanding of the industry is at best limited. What is wrong with these people really? Is like appointing a lawyer, who had a long career working in health institution as Chief Medical Director of a hospital. No doubt he is a technocrat, but is he fit for the job....i seriously doubt. Too bad really. And what is even profoundly painful to me is the general direction of the narrative in terms of where he is from as as opposed to analysing what skill sets he possesses vis a vis the job he is being given. I'm really sad for this generation. |
So if one cannot pay the forex into his account, how does he do TT to pay for goods and services purchased abroad? Please someone with informed answer please. |
PLEASE when will EFCC look in the direction of 'God's own State'? Because they will definitely see an 'eyeful' if they look into the Father and son looting of the past 8 years. This father and son business sef for Nigeria na wah.. |

Judging from recent events, it appears PMB has been busy with rearing cows since 1985 so he is not in tune with the complex nature of macro and micro economic policies and their effects on the citizenry. He has equally shown great naivety at politicking and the art of governance. They are too complicated issues and he needs at least 6 months to understand what is going on. Lest I forget, he also knows how to fight corruption only with his mouth though. Sequence of decisions and actions so far: 1. Order Festus Keyamo to step down from prosecuting Timipre Sylva. 2. Federal High Court dismisses allegations of corruption and discharges Timipre Sylva. So much for corruption fighter. 3. He appoints 2 people of similar experience for same role - just that one is special adviser and the other is senior special assistant. Meanwhile on TV he is cutting cost of governance. 4. He visits Niger and Chad to seek assistance and support to fight Boko Haram - Meanwhile a few months ago he exactly said ''It is a big shame that Nigeria is depending on Chad to defeat Boko Haram''. 5. While still on it, he travels to Germany and comes back to address the press on National TV to state that he just had a meeting with 'President Mitchelle of West Germany'. Please understand with him since he has been hibernating in Daura, where there is no CNN to see Berlin wall destruction in 1989. 6. He goes to South Africa and tells them he is too old to do certain things at 72. Is that so? 7. Then he naively plays the ostrich in the emerging game of thrones taking place at the NASS only to come back after the damage has been done to 'boil' with rage..I laugh in Chinese.. 8. Lest I forget, while he invited his party men to a meeting at ICC at 9 am, NASS election in Senate was already communicated to start at 10 am. What fools actually leaves a very important planned engagement to be at the wrong place at the wrong time? Actually the holy book described some 5 people who did such a thing as fools. 9. Then comes the bombshell of checkpoint dismantling nationwide without due consultation only for the somersault after meeting with the Govs. 10. Today Baba blames late hand over of reports by GEJ for delay in establishing a cabinet, tomorrow he claims treasury is empty. Please can someone tell him that was why he was elected - to fix these issues. He should quit complaining and do the work. We don't have time to endure more rudderless, clueless and out of wit leadership. He won the election 3 months ago and already knew there would be a cabinet. He does not need hand over notes to select a team. BABA things are going out of hand o...Please show all working Sir. We love you but we can't remain like this any longer. I am confident you will succeed but please do something to inspire confidence in the economy. |
