zuchyblink: I understand it is a new dawn. Fifteen years ago, players like Ogwuche, Federicks, Nnadi, Eletu, Daga, Akinsanmiro, Jude Sunday, Daga, and Agbalaka would have made their senior debuts. The advantage is that there is no scouting head for our national team handlers. The disadvantage is that we can hardly get players like Osimhen, Kanu, and Okocha from those rejected by their country of birth's national teams in Europe. I c no reason y dt nnadi guy can’t be invited .he was our best player in dt midfield.he plays maturely and way ahead of his mates .the guy sabi |

Curtisaxel10: I agree. Can't remember a bad game he had for the SE. Average games? Sometimes....but never poor.
His run of SE games included some of the best periods of the Rohr era especially our famed 2018 WC qualification victories.
Shehu was never extraordinary but he knew how to do the simple important things to get the job done.
Sadly, his club career never quite took off and now that we have solid competition for the RB spot with Osayi-Samuel, Aina and Ebuehi, Shehu's SE future isn't looking particularly bright. 90 percent of those who criticize shehu is not for football reason…dem no just like d guy name ,d guy was superb during 2008 qualifiers like u rightly said and he was a committed player |

Marjoribanks: Senegal no sabi! I am not scared of any team. They should be wary of us. We will break any AFCON defence with a rejuvenated Ndidi and Iwobi in midfield, and an attack of Boni, Moffi, Lookman, Chuz, Simon and the Oga himself (Osimhen). Without injuries/red card AFCON will be a walk over for us! Believe me! I could remember we had dis scary personnel prior to World Cup 2018 qualifiers,we were on form (individual wise), one of d things rohr benefited ,wey we feel say baba sabi coach 😊 |

Marjoribanks: AFCON is ours to lose! Onyeka, Iwobi, Onyedika, Aribo, Ndidi Nwakali, Alhassan and Nacho are good enough midfielders to win AFCON. Ekong, Bassey, Ajayi, Omeruo, Tourouniga, Akpoguma, Igbo etc are good enough defenders to win AFCON. Uzoho, Adeleye are fairly good goalkeepers to win AFCON. Give me a country with better defenders and midfielders than ours on the continent? Comoros 🇰🇲 😎 |

Curtisaxel10: I will never forgive whoever it was that handed Aribo that no.10 jersey. A shirt that has been worn by legends like Okocha and Mikel now being abused by an average dude that shouldn't even be making the team if we had decent midfield options? Nah.
Honestly, shame dey catch me whenever I see Aribo with that shirt. Nobody can argue dis …..d only thing going for aribo is because he’s part of d fb quota ,else he has always been below par ,yet Dey keep extending invites to him |

charlesemeka85: sure but the argument is that him and Musa should be dropped after the afcon to mk space for younger players to come in I can’t talk about musa cos obviously we av better options, however in dt defense ,omeruo and balogun is needed ,I never trust dt bassey guy and semilogo Ajayi sometimes mess up his games.. |

Omeruo still making eagles is cuz the young ones have not really impressed. Omeruo is going to afcon…except injured I won’t be surprise if he starts all d games sef. |

chrisooblog: I concur with your list however I would swap Omerue with Jordan (if he's impressive) or Awaziem. Last attacking spot would probably go to who impresses the most between Orban, Sadiq Umar, Moffi and Akor Adams.
If the list is 26 I would add one more winger Ejuke or Olayinka, another midfielder (anyone of Nwakali, Alhassan, Ebenezer, Eletu etc) and Bruno as cover for Zaidu. I think d maximum list of players is now 27 for every competition. |

TheSuperNerd: Only thing that playing Nacho and Lookman showed is that JPes loves to attack. He wanted Goals rain.
But the man still shows ineptness in balancing our midfield dynamics. The way out? I am afraid we are stuck with JPes till Afcon.
I hope he can just manage to find a good enough balance in the middle (not perfect but something not far from it by a few hundred miles) that can enable our attack really wreck havoc on the continent or he should find a way to make our attacking wingers function as extra playmakers VS the TOP Sides, both invertedly and on the outside in sync with their corresponding Fullbacks.
These ways, our attack won't be shackled but free of most limitations to destroy Africa and bring home the Title.
This is Nigeria's chance. Senegal for me is on a decline although they remain strong by reputation and class (which is permanent than form). Egypt is "Play and die for Salah" and Inshallah. CIV is a bunch of above average players with more grit and power than brains. Algeria is also strong but nothing like their 2019 squad. Morocco is possibly the strongest team in Africa now based on Team Chemistry ONLY but Cameroun is not to be taken lightly as they are always a traditionally clutch tournament team. Ghana? They blow hot and cold... and always hot against the GWG.
Look, Nigeria has the best and most dreaded attack in Africa. Best CFs, some of the best Wing forwards/creative attacking wingers. Nigeria also boast decent midfielders albeit functioning unbalanced due to JPes' picks. Our defence is not the strongest but it is decent enough with quality fullback depth and hopefully Torunarigha joining the CB options strengthens that department.
We have what it takes to make it number 4 but it rests on JPes' tactical and technical selections and decisions. But trust me, the tools are all there. It is more about whether he will recognise he needs a hammer when faced with the problem of nails. Welcome back … d question is what stop d coach or nff to invite d likes of nnadi nwakali akinsanmiro now….at least two out of d three options mentioned above |
