I did biometrics with my dependants on the 28th of October in ikeja tls. Although, am the main applicant and did priority while my dependants did standard application. I haven’t heard anything from ukvi as regards my application since i did priority and it’s been over 5 working days now. Sent a paid email 2 days ago and the reply i got was that my application is been processed and awaiting decision. Anyone has had this similar issue before? I’m a bit worried

Infact hes not ok with that statement. I have succesful blast the fellow. Its never a crime to hold your money with the bank. The only think UK dont accept is fixed deposit or term deposit. Any other thing things legal.. weere dey disguise

Start from page 1, read up all that you need to know - No.
Go to UK government website and read - No.
Don't argue when you're not informed - No.

Any University degree program is eligible for PSW, as long as you graduate.

Please i have an inquiry, I am using my biological parent’s account for my funding, can my wife also apply as a dependent? We don’t have any children and the account is well funded for my tuition and both our living expenses. I also have a consent letter from my parent expressly stating the funds are for me and my spouse, can she apply as a dependent?. PS. the reason we didn't transfer the money to our account is because the money has already been in my parent's account for up to 28 days and its already close to my CAS deadline

Application Type: Student Visa PhD

Applied on the 16th of October

Rescheduled Biometric earlier set for 20th October to 21st October (next day)

I did Biometrics on the 21st of October in Abuja (Priority)

Received a Non straight forward mail on the 25th of October

Sent a paid email to UKVI on the 30th of October

Received an email about decision on 2nd November

Collected my visa via courier 5th November

Student visa valid till Jan 1st, 2026

It is instructive to note that I had an immigration problem with regards "overstaying" in the UK ten years ago, which ultimately carries a 10 year ban. I wasn't sure if I was effectively on a ten year ban or not but had to wait for 10 years to apply to enter the UK again. At some point I wasn't sure what to expect of the outcome, thats why this outcome is a super relief for me and a shot at second chance.

I am grateful to everyone here whose inputs I learnt from and believe more testimonies will come out from here.

Please, did you pay any fee for biometrics asides the visa fee? Is there anything like TLS contact fee of about ₦20k for biometrics at TLS?

I am a stay at home mum and want to further my studies. I currently holds an offer for M.Sc program in UK. My husband will be sponsoring me but will not be travelling with me as he has businesses to run. I intend going with my 15months son as my only dependent.
Will this be possible as I saw on some online post that one has to show compelling and serious reasons why the child has to be with one of the parent going to the UK. Our parents are old and I can't leave my son with them. I have family in UK I intend staying with and also have made inquiries about cost of child minders and incorporated the expenses for days I have classes.do I have a chance of visa approval if I apply with my son only ? What documents do I need to tender? Please advise.

You do have a chance but to avoid unnecessary stress, apply together with your husband. It doesn't matter whether he goes with you after he is issued visa or not. And moreover, he'd have to come visit you at some point, yeah?

Don't move any fund. Leave it in your account but make sure the money there would cover for your dependant(s) and you.

If you have an account with them and they're still refusing it, make a scene there and get the attention of the manager. Tell them you'd report them to CBN. That's if the payment details is on a page with your school letterhead.

Please can you change your course to any related course when you get to UK. I found out that my course Msc In International Business in huddersfield is no longer accredited with Chartered Management Institute, while the related course Msc Management with International Business & Msc Management are both still accredited. I already gotten an offer which I have accepted and conditions met except initial deposit, which deadline is Dec 3. Please gurus in the house I have emailed the school about this but what do you guys think. I need that CMI for career progression. Should I go on with the offer I have with the mindset I change the coursewhen I get to the school in uk.
