Funny how you all still fail to address the bigger issues - SYSTEM.
Build a successful business in Nigeria finish,you will still send your children to abroad to enjoy your money.
How many of Ovia, Elumelu, Dangote,jimoh Ibrahim and so on children have only Nigeria as citizenship.
All these if I have 20m , if I have 20 hectares should leave room for real, practicing entrepreneurs to talk.
Someone even suggest rice farm �

This is a success STORY, the solution is we need a successful SYSTEM.

I once lived in North America....the major problem North America has is that YOU ARE ALL ALONE. It's same in naija but more pronounced in North America. Even with a gf or wife in North America both will be working so you are effectively alone to a large extent. That poster said he works 70hrs per week....to me that's not life....

But in Nigeria there's village heads, kindred, extended family, cousins, neighbors etc who all have time for each other....the vibes is just different and I prefer the naija vibes....

I worked 60 hours in Nigeria weekdays not including weekend which I also pop in therefore I have to be in town,hence can't travel,bad news is the hours don't directly reflect my effort.
The man that worked 70 hours chose to do so ,I want to believe he's been paid hourly and has the freedom to choose his overtime.

The only thing I miss about Nigeria is my girlfriend and neighbors love and I started eating my flat mates food , offering them mine too so we can create a bond.
I just spent a month here and I'm the definition of things are still rough.
But guys I have read almost all similar thread like this one before jumping this boat ,it feels terrible atimes, but abroad will humble you
If you have pride and like show off You will hate yourself here.
Suddenly, big boy swag won't matter again.
I know few friends based on their way of life that I may advise against traveling and I know some I will tell to go.

Quick and important advice:

If you're coming this January and you don't have anywhere to stay, start now to search for accomodation against the time you intend to come. If you're going to use Airbnb, start now to search against your arrival date, since it's cheaper booking ahead. At least two weeks while you search for an apartment when you have arrived. Don't wait, book now!!!

It's easier now to get study visa than getting an apartment in the UK. Also ensure you have money to complete your enrolment. Some schools require 50% tuition fees before enrolment . And most schools are strict with enrolment deposit. In my school, students who didn't meet up with the enrolment and have arrived UK have been sent email that they will reported to UKVI in few days if the enrolment isn't done in 5 days. You don't want to be running around to meet enrolment deadline, while you still chasing apartment and you're spending money in hotel/hostel/Airbnb without no temporary source income. PLEASE, plan very well.

Some people who came this September are begining to feel depressed because of apartment and school enrolment issues. Also getting a part time job isn't difficult, but only a settled mind would have that courage to apply for those part-time jobs.

Although settling in may be a challenge, but it will definitely make it will surely get better and make sense.

Like I advised previously, for families, it would be better for main applicant to come first to secure apartment while dependents come in later. Except they have a sure place to stay.

My post is not to discourage anyone but to let us know the outlook of things now in the UK.

I Hope the calculation is not missed here, since you applied with a 29 days statement maybe you should send a 28days to them,like minus a day from the date of application.

They send it to request for further information regarding the application, I believe it's within the 15 working days, I stand corrected though

A friend paid for DHL delivery before her biometrics day. She was debited, but the payment didn't reflect on Tls portal. On her biometrics day, she was told to fill a form for refund.
She didn't make another payment on biometrics day for passport delivery, but wants to do it now. How can she go about it?

Same happened to me, I was not even give refund form ,I was told to contact my bank. I sent mail to tls about it nothing,I'll advise people not to pay for delivery on the portal,the guy at tls looked shocked sef,he kept asking me how I paid online.

Sorry house,at what point after bio can one start sending paid mail?
