I see a lot of paid mail and calls people make before they get the decision,does it make it faster to get updated on the visa if you do that?

You don't get a notification when a decision is made you get a notification to collect your passport


Everyone that confirmed a decision had been made contacted UKVI call center reps via paid mail or calls

Bear in mind that they can't tell you the outcome of the decision they have limited access to information and can only tell when a decision has been made.

Usually a ticked box they can see when that happens

@duchess90 there is something I don't understand here I thought the tracking will show when decision is made ,does it mean we really need to bank on the tracking?

House please I need help have submitted application to Teesside university but while filling my application online, there was a section where I was asked if have been refused a visa in the past, I thought they were referring to UK visa without knowing that what it means is that if have ever been denied of any visa in the past. But the truth is that I was onced denied a Croatia visa in October 2018 and I still have the refusal letter with me I don't know if I should just go ahead and mail the school and declear my refuser history or I should just hold it. Teesside only asks for UK refusal,not other countries. Confirm this again on your questionnaire

yes you can put your school's post code for nearest post office collection unless you have a temp accommodation you wish to use. Alternatively you choose your sponsor i.e your uni if you have their unique code probably written on your CAS

So I was debited for my Form A last week. When the school sent me receipt of payment, I saw 5913 pounds as against the 6k pounds I was supposed to pay, ( I still have extra funds in account) Please what do you guys advise, can I apply for CAS with this? How do I go about it please.

This should not be an issue with the school, my own money was short too and the school just added it to the remaining balance.

@duchess please, if the employment letter contains the salary details, is it in anyway used in making financial decisions as part of the visa process?

This was a consideration at the credibility interview during Biometrics which is currently not as popular and will only be requested on a case by case basis.

Because the credibility interview is not taking place as often as it should ,case workers now rely solely on evidence of anything worth considering including study gaps.

That is the reason why NSF mails have been sent to request that sort of additional document and now applicants are proactive in submitting such to avoid NSFs

Sorry if I appear like I'm doubting so many respected gurus here, but this study gap idea I read here ,where did it come from?
I can't find job reference as a requirement on ukvi site and I know a colleague with 10 years study gap who did not submit job reference and was granted.
I will still err on the side of caution though. But we need to clarify if it's a myth we've all come to accept as norm.

I stay very far away from Ikeja. Going there just to book an appointment and going back again for the test would be too stressful and expensive for me. I tried this suggestion below and it worked.

Hi, I have been trying to schedule an appointment for a TB test but every time I fill out the form and submit, I always get an error message saying that the slot I picked is no longer available. But the same slot will still be shown as available when I want to try again. This has happened more than 10 times for different dates. All their phone numbers have not been reachable. Can I just visit the test center any day and take the test, or at least book an appointment at the test center?

I'm in same shoe with you,but I learnt one can book appointment in person at the center.

I have encountered this error. You will see this error when you try to do double registration or you deleted your appointment and want to rebooked.

My question is, have you registered or booked appointment before?
If yes, you have to get the first reference number and printout with the initial information cos it has enter IOM already.

Any changes have to be from IOM . Call them for what to do

No I have no successful appointment yet but I will try the solution people suggested.

2. @the bolded is that for TBtest, there is naira value at 54k the last I remember

Yes, bank statements from a particular bank(s) can be flagged especially if they noticed visa applicants presenting fake statements from same bank within a period of time.
So, even if an individual presents genuine statements from such bank(s), if care isn’t taken, such person can be unfortunate.
So, technically a bank can be blacklisted.
It happened to a bank that echoes in late 2021

In my opinion,I think the person that started this discussion did not give complete information as to what constitutes the "Fake" account his talking about.
