Politics › Re: Senate Halts Port Harcourt Refinery Concession To Agip by Emassive(m): 8:47am On May 31, 2017 |
How many privatized asset have we ever benefited from since the silly OBJ era? What we need is proper scrutiny of how and who the change process is carried out and not undermining the senate all the time. Vexdacool seunmsg: The senate is unfortunately constituting itself into a clog in the wheel of progress. Obasanjo privatised those refineries during the tail end of his administration but some unscrupulous elements advised Yar'ardua to cancel the privatization. If the Obasanjo era privatisation had stand, our refining capacity would have since improve by now but we missed that opportunity.
Another opportunity is here again to get things right and the same unscrupulous elements are using the senate to frustrate it. Eni and Oando are well established and credible players in the oil sector and if they have both committed to revamping the moribund refinery and increasing its refining capacity, I don't get why the senate is desperate to frustrate the deal.
Again, we now have a minister who is so committed to ensuring that we stop importation of petroleum products in the next two years. The success of this Port Harcourt refinery concession is very key to achieving that target. If the senate succeeds in killing this deal again, we should prepare for many more years of petroleum importation with all the problems that comes with it. |

My friend tried to go after him then he tried driving dangerously across the major interchange which was very risky. Sometimes I wonder why the same suffering masses defend their killers. How does our population stops infrastructural development or provision of social basic amenity while it is not a problem for them to tax the same 180m or deduct 50naiara for our bank deposits or sms alert. bkool7: Though our leaders are the most inept set of leader but you'll have to agree that Nigeria far outweighs Ghana in landmass and population
#Modified I am not making excuse for the corruption of the govt or the Discos But stating a contributing fact .
if Nigeria were to ne broken into smaller region , I am sure a place like lagos will not be having electricity problem . because it will use its resources for cater for only its population . Lets look at this , the poluation of Ghana is 27.4million . That of Nigeria is 180 million . That ratio is 1:6.
That is just the fact I'm stating. Don't get it twisted |

#CrimecIsCrime . The fact that a certain tribe committed it doesn't make it less worthy of a news. Live with the truth EncephalonPikin: It seems the op intentionally searched for "crimes committed by Nigerians" online. See how he highlighted their names!
In the quest to make mockery of another tribe, you're actually disgracing the whole country as this is a public forum accessible to foreigners!
Are Nigerians the only ones that commit crime?
Its a bad thing already, why smearing it in our face always? |
