if you don't bug them, they generally won't bug you and they'll take huge pains to avoid you even seeing them if they can. They're not the most dangerous predator on the block - WE are. Far more snakes are killed by humans than the other way around.
They sense you coming from your footsteps and hightail it before you even catch sight of them,

THE REAL NIGERIA
I just realized that the hardship faced by many Nigerians is simply as a result of the fact that almost everyone of us benefited from the cycle of corruption.
The bricklayer, plumber, labourers, tiler are all complaining because building construction has slowed down massively cause the thieves no longer have money to spend on real estate.
The car dealers are grumbling because their cars are begging for buyers. Thieves can no longer spend wastefully.
The private school owners are shouting because parents can no longer pay outrageous sums and are withdrawing their wards.
I was shocked when I learnt that in a popular private University in Abuja, parents are writing undertaking at the account section for their children to be allowed to write exams... and it goes on and on.
The fact is, a lot of people are returning to what someone referred to as ''default mode''.
We mostly have been living above our REAL MEANS.
We have been staying in houses that ordinarily our incomes can't afford.
Our children going to schools we can't afford. Driving cars we ordinarily can't maintain.
We have been living a FAKE LIFE all along.
Now the reality is before us and we don't want to accept it.
This shows how morally bankrupt we are.
You can't eat your Cake and have it. TAKE NOTE.........
You got billions from bank without collateral using your political influence.
You put half into your business and spent the other half on exotic cars, jewelries' etc.
Your business employs 100 people normally. You get illegal waivers and concessions to import raw materials at rock bottom prices, you get over inflated contract to supply government some goods your company produce....
in short your company is kept afloat by corruption.
You have been paying Tithes, Sowing Seeds that includes money from corruption and inflated contracts.
Now, the new Sherriff in town say NO more ridiculous waiver, NO more inflated contracts, NO more bank loans without collateral, in fact its time you or your company pay off the billions of debt owed.....
AMCON takes over your company, staff are laid off......
And you go on air and say the new sheriff is killing business and causing unemployment..
The truth is....you and your company were never in business, you were only feeding off the corrupt system.
Too many companies and banks are funded by corruption.
Remove corruption from the system and they collapse.......and we end up blaming the person that remove corruption for the collapse of the corrupt company.
Its like our system and corruption are so interwoven and un-separatable twins, that, removing one will kill the other.
Maybe we should tolerate and learn to live with corruption so that Nigeria can survive?
But count me out of the BRING BACK OUR CORRUPTION campaign by .
Blessed are the few incorruptible and hardworking Nigerians, for they shall be rewarded by the new emerging Nigeria.[/quote] |

Even when the NA claimed they'd killed Shekau, and provided an incontrovertible evidence in pix, BH told him otherwise and he was busy broadcasting "Shekau is alive and well". He ought to be arrested to serve as deterrence to other self claimed "investigative journalists " who go about sourcing for lies from terrorists groups just to earn name and prestige. |

True but if you can keep your eyes down and search yourself then you will find a good place. I am still searching now in Ibadan for over 1month and I can say I am the one who haven't settled for one yet for some reasons. I met this love agent called Kayman that has impressed with since my search as he has been honest enough with the houses so far. The thing is that Ibadan new sites are overpriced for the Ibadan (400k Same at Lekki is 2-3M) P.A. The truth is no job in Ibadan pays rent allowance of even 200k pa so why should they charge so high even around places like Elebu, Ayefele (felele), oluyole ext, Akobo and more. lilwheezy1: you have not seen anything yet , come and search for house in Ibadan , i guaranty in 3 months you will not still be able to see an apartment that suits what you want , the agents will knowingly be taking to an apartment even their enemies cannot stay so you will keep paying them
Hunting for an apartment is not an easy thing and also your budget matters too. |
Properties › Re: My House Hunt Experience In Lagos by Emassive(m): 11:01pm On Sep 04, 2016 |
easrael: You Think Its Easy to Live in Lagos, Read my House Hunt Experience story
Mid April, my rent expired and I had three weeks to move out of my apartment. I had so much confidence to get an apartment in two weeks to move into. Little did I know I was being set up for a battle between the body, soul and spirit.
I did make a few calls in about three days to my friends and family members. This calls yielded little or nothing support as regards my assignment.
The only fruit it yielded was a 3 million p.a apartment in the innermost part of Lekki. As glad as I was about this fruit, tge distance from the Lekki phase 1 gate to my supposed new place of abode is not different from the distance between heaven and hell.
With all sense of modesty, I declined staying here. I finally settled to use a house agent which seems to be an advise a female friend gave me from work.
After contacting 10 of them via phone and paying them 5,000 each, one week and 2 days has past and I still do not have a place yet!
I, in my naivety assumed that I woukd get an apartment after paying that money. I did not know like doctors, it was just for consultancy. I kept faith in God, having had the Christian background.
It was now two weeks past and on Sunday of the last week of my relocation notice. I finally got calls from 3 of my agents who showed me 5 different places (2 in Ikoyi, 1 in Festac and 2 in Lekki). Let me say at this point thay I was open to any location.
I wanted to move from a low brow are to a high brow are and these three were well suited. I could have accepted any of them! Yes, I should. But, I did not.
I slept after these calls and had a dream about me not progressing in these houses if I lived in them. On waking up, i could do nothing other than cancel the offers.
At this point, 3 of the turned up agents declined further service. They insisted I pay another N5,000 for consultancy. Iwas grieved at this point!
I have just few days left of the three weeks notice, precisely two days. I am now desperate and began to search online. My first stop was a website that offered such services, tolet.com.ng (apologies for mentioning your name if you ever read this). My experience was short lived as I started putting down this thoughts.
I have 48 hours to go and I have 2 useful agents and this website to deal with.
Getting accommodation in Lagos is no doubt a task for the faint hearted.
Source: http://ladispeaks.com/2016/09/03/house-hunt-experience-lagos/ The website you contacted is a credible one and I can tell you that they have visited our Real Estate Office just to ensure our authenticity with view of referring clients like you to our Office without consultancy fees at first meeting. A few of their staffs do call us regularly to find out what we have available that will fit their clients needs. Most times the issue is with You who do not decide early enough and want to see upto 10house before making a decision which usually cost the Agents money to fetch each one at times. Nevertheless, I find myself doing the same to other agents when searching (relocating) even as I am doing outside of Lagos. Let's just all try to be open with agents and outspoken about our dealings with them for better communication. |
Politics › Re: Tom Marino Writes Kerry, Accuses Buhari Of Autocratic Tendencies by Emassive(m): 9:23pm On Sep 04, 2016 |
seunmsg: The ignorant congressman was probably prodded by an ipob member to write the above trash. Whatever the case may be, he has only given an opinion and not the reality on ground. Majority of Nigerians that voted for Buhari are happy with his effort so far at fighting corruption and eradicating the boko haram insurgency. A congress man in the US will not dictate to us how to go about fighting corruption or how to go about fighting terrorists. We have our country to protect and we will go about it our way.
Nigeria did not dictate to the US how to go about fighting terrorism after the 9/11 attacks. They invaded Iraq without any evidence of weapons of mass destruction and without the UN authorisation. They have committed unimaginable war crimes all over the world so, they are not in any position to lecture Nigeria on the morality or otherwise of how we fight corruption and secure our country. If the dasugate scandal is to happen in US, will the congressman be talking this same poo? Though I believe the Obama administration will definitely ignore the congress man's trashy letter, Nigerians need not to worry. If US refuse to sell weapons to us, we will buy from Russia and China. Please buy weapon ooo. Which nation of the world has war weapons helped? The same America you are complaining about now is telling you how not to be war mongers like them yet you still typed trash. A Christmas Chicken still get fed before been slain on 25th so you can as well be forgiven for this. |

Thank You satanist, You couldn't just pass on the chance to Real out your point. aaronson: This is no Brainer.
Would this single protest stop religion extremists atrocities? No!
So what would curb it? Education! And in these order below.
1 Ban of religion teaching in schools.
2 Emphasizing/Teaching more on morals and conscious self discovery/awareness.
3 Regulating of religious activities such as unwarranted religious holidays, noise pollution from religious centres.
4 Teaching more of science, psychology and philosophy.
And after that, let's see if anybody would murder his fellow man because of mere conjectural and fairytales religion
OR
Let's see if anybody would be willing to strap a bomb on themselves and blow themselves up for 7 virgin reward.
Conclusion- I may be wrong but to people who already fall victim of religion indoctrination but then again, For those with liberal and rational minds, I just made points worth of experimenting on for the growth and peaceful co-existence of humanbeing in Nigeria and the world at large. |
