What he meant is simple. Being homosexual does not affect the prices of garri in the market. It does not make getting needs hard for the people. Your corruption is between you and God. It doesn't make life difficult for the people. However, when you are wicked and greedy, it will affect the people around you. If you siphon public funds, everyone will feel the consequences, even the unborn generations. I believe he is right. Greed and wickedness are corruption against the people and humanity. |

Human capital flight also known as brain drain revolves around the loss of skilled workers, either talented or educated, of a country through migration. It is the migration of highly skilled and competent workers in order to seek better opportunities abroad. It encompasses seeking greener pastures, accessing feasible opportunities, having job security, looking for a higher standard of living, just to mention a few. The departure of academic, technological, and medical individuals, such as; doctors, lawyers, engineers, lecturers, scientists, and others, often makes the country stranded by having few people that have the know-how to make consequential differences. Consequently, the work becomes burdensome and tiresome for the few skilled workers available. The exodus of Nigerian professionals has left much to be desired. A lot of sectors in the country experience a short supply of a competent labour force. For instance, Nigeria has produced more than 80,000 doctors, but only 30,000 doctors are in the country at present. The World Health Organization (WHO) mandated one doctor to 1000 patients ratio, but Nigeria has one doctor to 5,000 patients ratio. 233 doctors moved to the United Kingdom (UK) in 2015, 279 in 2016, 475 in 2017, 852 in 2018, 1347 in 2019, 833 in 2020 and 932 in 2021. To aggravate the phenomenon, it was widely reported that 9 out of 10 doctors, who have less than five years experience, plan to leave the country to seek a higher standard of living. Froshui:Good morning. To begin with, I'm a student, not an aspirant. You need to go back to where you did the registration. The person that registered you has a lot to tell you. However, you should be aware that any slight mistake can jeopardize your chance of getting the admission. Take the bull by its horn. Be fast. God bless you. |

SmartyPants:You don't understand language. I don't think you even studied English as a course in the university. Register is a concept or a topic. So, it must be without article, just as, What is noun. Without any article, what is required is the generic definition. Supposed someone asks you, what a noun is, you can tell that person that a noun is a cup. But what is noun demands that you give the definition of noun. Learn and learn before you jump into conclusion that someone is wrong. Asking what is a register can birth many definitions in the exam. You should know that the word 'Register' is polysemous. Someone can say it is a book that is used to mark attendance in school. However, what is register means 'Explain what you know by the term in this particular subject. English isn't hard, sir. Good morning. |

Lecturers Protest in UNIPORT Over Non Payment of 22 Month Salaries The lecturers of University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) staged a protest over the non-payment of their 22 month salaries. The angry lecturers under the aegis of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) halted the academic activities on campus today. They under the leading of their ASUU chairman Dr. Darlington Uzoma, trooped out en masse from the secretariat of the union to the senate building of the university. Uzoma said, “About 20 of our members in UNIPORT are being owed 22 months’ salaries because of the carelessness of the Federal Government through the payment system it adopted.” Recall that the deliberate payment of half salaries by the federal government sparked outrage from the ASUU, with each unit being told to take a day to protest. It was learnt that the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and University of Jos (UNIJOS) had both embarked on their respective lecture-free day. https://www.emeritushub.com/lecturers-protest-in-uniport-over-non-payment-of-22-month-salaries/ |

Uites Are Wise, You Cannot Blackmail Me — UI'SU PRO In the wake of the report of the divergence of union funds by the office of the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of University of Ibadan Student Union, the PRO, Olalekan Michael Ajibola prominently known as OMA Our PRO, had stated that the whole reportage was an attempt to blackmail him, saying it was poor and outlandish. The celebrity PRO was under fire yesterday when a news publication went viral and published by some student news outlet especially on ucjui.com, the apex campus journalism news outlet in University of Ibadan. It was reported that OMA diverted the funds garnered from handling UI'SU TV into his personal account. He was also alleged of using his personal number for the TV with the aim of making the TV his at the expiration of his tenure. According to the report, when challenged with the constitution of the University of Ibadan Student Union, OMA admitted that he had violated the constitution. He also admitted that he was supposed to have told the Students Representative Council (SRC) to amend the constitution of the union arguing that his office needs a legal back up to appropriate funds when needs be. However, the publicity team of OMA Our PRO released a press release yesterday, blowing hot, and ascribing the report as outlandish, poor, an attempt to blackmail the PRO, and demeaning the news writer as a writer who lacks even the basic knowledge of journalism. It was stated in the release that the report was false, stating that it had been diluted to serve some parochial interests, while also projecting OMA in bad light. OMA advised the writer of the report to focus on becoming a good journalist instead of scaremongering. "The writer should be aware at this point that Uites are wise, addicted to the TV, enjoying it and expressing their affection for OMA Our PRO. The signs are there. If you disagree, try asking a random Uite about OMA Our PRO; the response will contradict the full picture of what the writers try to paint, and many of his faceless blackmailers." The embattled PRO later stated that the publication is a libel suit and threatened to file a suit against his blackmailer(s). https://www.emeritushub.com/uites-are-wise-you-cannot-blackmail-me-uisu-pro/ |
UI'SU PRO Accused of Diverting Union Fund Into Personal Account The University of Ibadan Student Union Public Relation Officer, Olalekan Michael Ajibola popularly known as OMA Our PRO, has been accused of diverting union funds into his personal account. The celebrity PRO was exposed by an investigative journalist writing for Indy Press, a reputable press organization in the University of Ibadan. OMA controls the handling of the UI'SU TV, a campus TV for the whole institution, which has more than 5, 000 viewers according to reports. The embattled PRO, according to the news published by Indy Press, who controlled the handling of the UI'SU TV used his number for the TV. It was reported that he tried to make the WhatsApp TV his after his tenure. It was also known that OMA charged advertisers 2 thousands for a day, 5 thousands for 3 days and 10 ten thousands for 3 days, with all the money entering into his account directly. The act is against the constitution of the University of Ibadan Student Union. It was stated in the constitution that all funds should be directed into the union account. And when needs be, on a special occasion, it should be directed into the treasurer's account. When contacted, according to a report on ucjui.com, OMA agreed that he had violated the law. Nonetheless, he stated that he disregarded the constitution because it is outdated. He also agreed that he did not inform the SRC concerning how he had been contravening the UI'SU constitution when there was an urgent need to amend it. He argued that the UI'SU TV is an innovation and his office should be given the legal back up to receive funds and allocate resources when needs be. In the wake of the report, the PRO, Olalekan Michael Ajibola, debunked the allegation, saying that the news was written by a notorious investigative journalist who is well known to being unprofessional in his reports. https://www.emeritushub.com/uisu-pro-accused-of-diverting-union-fund-into-personal-account/ |

In this article, I will list ten things that aspirants must know or do before they register for UTME. What Do JAMB And UTME Means Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) is the body that conducts Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). So, it is right to say you want to write UTME, not JAMB. JAMB is the body that conducts the examination. Also, the students that write JAMB are called Jambites. Be wise in the school that you choose Many aspirants just choose a school because the school is popular. Some choose some tertiary institutions because they have relatives or friends in the school. However, it doesn’t work like that. Choose the school that has a proven record to do what you want. Some people choose some schools that do not offer the courses that they want to study. Therefore, they change their desired courses and choose the available ones. Know what you want to become Passion keeps driving men. Choose the course that you have passion for. It is very important to do this so that you won’t lose focus when you gain admission. Some students in higher institutions do not have motivation to study because they are studying the course they have no passions for. Do not choose a course because your friends choose the course. You are special. Do Not Be Afraid Cowards die millions of times before death comes, while heroes live billions of years before thinking about death. Be optimistic. You are a success, a miracle. You can’t fail. UTME isn’t rocket science. It is an examination. Ipso facto, be calm; sit right and be ready to destroy it. Prepare Very Well Anyone who fails to prepare will prepare to fail. This is the reality that occurs in any examination. While students that prepare well pass excellently, the unprepared ones always have themselves or others to blame for their failure. The people who study a particular course don’t have two heads. They all have one just like you. What can make you be in their league is to prepare accurately. The sky isn’t your limit if you do this. Know Your Financial Ability As an aspirant, you must know the financial ability of your sponsor. This will help you choose the best school for yourself. Getting admission to study the course that you desire is much more important than studying a course that you don’t want in a popular university. Because of the gradual collapse in academic activities in public universities, I will advise you to choose a private university or a state university, if your sponsor has the ability to finance you accordingly. At first, this will make your effort to get admission easy and you will have a strike-free academic journey. Both blank verse and free verse are free from rhyme scheme. However, they are different in forms. I will first explain them one after the other. Free Verse Free verse is an element of poetry that refers to poetry that does not have rhyme and a rhythmic pattern (regular rhythm). Free verse is free from rhythm and meter; it does not follow any patterns. It allows the poet to be expressive without any limitation of the confined pattern. It is also called vers libre. Example: Nigeria, a great in-country Nigeria, the home of wild animal Nigeria, the refuge of felonies Nigeria, we always hail thee! Blank Verse Blank verse is a poetic device that refers to a poem that has a meter with 10 syllables (iambic pentameter) but does not have a regular rhythm and rhyme. A blank verse does not have specific lines in poetry, not like a sonnet that has fourteen lines. The iambic pentameter of a blank verse is not rhymed due to its acceptance of any kind of meter in poetry. In short, free verse does not have the regular rhythm, meter and rhyme scheme, but, blank verse has. Blank verse usually has meter iambic pentameter which means five stressed syllables and give unstressed syllables. The syllables in each line of a poem that is blank verse are always the same.
