Sports › Overrun And Overwhelmed: Arsenal Punished By Tottenham Hero Kane by eminent007(op): 9:53pm On Feb 07, 2015
The Gunners took the lead in the North London derby but were completely outplayed as Spurs won 2-1 thanks to Harry Kane's second-half double.

Harry Kane left the pitch after a spine-tingling lap of honor with "He’s one of our own" ringing around White Hart Lane. Tottenham’s local hero turned to the television camera and declared: “I love the North London derby.”

That sentiment will be shared by the Spurs dressing room and supporters after their 2-1 win to leapfrog bitter rival Arsenal in the Premier League table in a derby clash more one-sided than the scoreline and late winner suggest.

Arsene Wenger, though, will be feeling very different after his gameplan to win his 45th North London derby badly backfired, leaving the battle for a place in next season’s Champions League looking precarious for all sides involved.

Arsenal took the lead through Mesut Ozil’s fine 11th-minute volley but the Gunners can have no complaints with the result after being dominated throughout the match, overwhelmed by Tottenham’s intensity and physicality.

The Gunners tried to play in the same counterattacking style in which they won 2-0 at Manchester City last month in what was at the time interpreted as a watermark away victory for a side that has so often crumbled away from the Emirates Stadium. Yet this time it felt more like they were inviting pressure from Tottenham than defending in a solid, compact manner.

Spurs hammered away at the Arsenal goal, ending the game with 23 shots to Arsenal’s seven, while the hosts also had 56 percent possession as they constantly pushed forward on the front foot.
It needed some fine saves from goalkeeper David Ospina to keep out Kane, Danny Rose and Nabil Bentaleb to prevent Tottenham from scoring more and putting the game to bed long before the eventual 86th minute winner.

Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla, so important in recent weeks, were completely overrun by Bentaleb and Mason. The visitors could barely string two passes together before losing possession under pressure from a Tottenham player.

“We defended well but I don’t think we went forward enough,” Wenger said. “We looked dangerous but were we too focused on defending our goal? I think so. I think we also made too many technical mistakes because Tottenham put us under pressure in the middle of the park and we lost the ball.”

Kane typified that, as he has all year, with two goals to take his tally for the season to 22 in all competitions, 12 of those in the Premier League.
The first was a tap in at the back post after Arsenal failed to deal with a corner and Ospina flapped unconvincingly at a looping ball.

The winner, though, was special. Bentaleb swung in a cross from deep and Laurent Koscielny only stood and watched as Kane planted a fabulous header across goal from 12 yards.

Mauricio Pochettino is the 11th Spurs manager Wenger has come up against, but the Frenchman was out-thought by his opposite number as much as his players were outfought on the pitch.

While Spurs players were confrontational, Arsenal’s drifted through much of the game. The Gunners could not get away with it, not in the derby.
There were no leaders in the Arsenal side to see off the Tottenham attacks, to take the sting out of the home side and protect the lead. Not even for a minute did the visitors look comfortable in the entire game.

For Kane, the questions over whether he’ll be in Roy Hodgson’s next England squad — the Three Lions manager was watching in the stands — are pointless. The 21-year-old will be in the squad. The only question is whether he is in the starting lineup.
At the moment, though, he is living the dream as the local boy who won the derby. The most in-form striker in English football punished Arsenal’s cautious gameplan.

Sports › Real Madrid Exposed By Athletico. by eminent007(op): 9:32pm On Feb 07, 2015
From Iker to Ronaldo: Brutal beating exposes Real Madrid all over the pitch

Carlo Ancelotti got it all wrong in a damaging derby defeat that raises serious questions over the manager's tactical approach in the matchup Los Blancos cannot win.

Not so long ago, Real Madrid ruled the roost in this fixture. For a period of almost 14 years, Atletico simply could not win a derby. But Diego Simeone's side has now emerged victorious in four of the last six — and the Rojiblancos exposed Madrid's soft center in what was a brutal beating Saturday.

Madrid may have been missing some of its first-choice players, but the Liga leader still boasted a side assembled at a far greater cost than that of the home team — and it also welcomed back Cristiano Ronaldo from his recent suspension. As he awaited news of his ban, the Portuguese told friends he was desperate to feature in this match — but he may have wished he had sat it out altogether after another wretched performance against Simeone's side.
Ronaldo planned a big birthday bash in the Spanish capital to mark his 30th on Saturday night, but he is unlikely to be in much of a party mood after this match.

In the buildup to the game, former Madrid defender Paco Pavon toldGoalthat Ancelotti would try something different after recent derby disappointments and warned his former side to beware the ghosts of previous meetings, especially if Atletico scored first.

His words turned out to be almost premonitory in the end. Whatever it was Ancelotti did try, it certainly did not work.

Sami Khedira surprisingly started in midfield despite his terrible form in recent games, while the "BBC" trident formed by Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano was maintained by Ancelotti, even though it had seemed clear the visitors would need more bite and competition in midfield — especially as first-choice center backs Pepe and Sergio Ramos were both unavailable.

As it was, Atleti bullied its local rival from start to finish. Iker Casillas flapped meekly at Tiago's shot as the home team took the lead, but the Spain goalkeeper was also left exposed by poor defending from those in front of him as Madrid's makeshift defense failed to clear.

Unlike in the Champions League final in Lisbon, there was no Ramos to bail out Casillas this time. But Madrid's problems ran much deeper anyway.
Dani Carvajal's improvement in recent times has been lauded, but the Madrid right back was woeful in this one, beaten by Guilherme Siqueira in the buildup to Atleti's second, caught out of position and beaten physically by Saul before Antoine Griezmann made it 3-0 and stuck in no-man's land again as Mario Mandzukic headed home the fourth.

Raphael Varane, described as the best defender in the world by Jose Mourinho on Friday, was also at fault for both of those goals as he was beaten for strength by Griezmann at the far post for the third and then allowed Mandzukic a free run to net the fourth.

Wherever you looked, it was a shambles from Madrid's point of view and Simeone — as usual — had clearly done his homework ahead of this match.
Amid Atleti's derby drought from 1999 to 2013, it often looked like the Rojiblancos would never beat their rivals ever again. But unless they make some serious changes to their approach in this fixture, it is now Madrid facing a barren spell in the capital clash.

The Confederation Africaine de Football has banned Morocco from the Africa Cup of Nations tournaments in 2017 and 2019.
Morocco have been banned from the 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments after refusing to host the competition this year.
The scheduled host withdrew from the role amid concerns over the Ebola virus and, following disagreements with the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF), Equatorial Guinea stood in at late notice.
CAF confirmed via its Twitter account that Morocco would be banned from the next two tournaments, fined $1 million and be forced to pay a further 8 million euros in damages to the federation.

Christianity Etc › Journey Through The Bible. by eminent007(op): 2:37pm On Feb 06, 2015
Our journey began at Genesis through
Exodus.

On the way, we saw Leviticus recording the Numbers of people at Deuteronomy, while Joshua was waiting at the beautiful gate for Judges to see Ruth calling loudly "Samuel,Samuel" .

At a stage, the, first and second Kings of Chronicles were coming to visit Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther for the misfortune of Job, their brother.

Then they noticed that Mr. Psalms was teaching his children Proverbs concerning Ecclesiastes and Songs of Solomon.

This coincided with the period that Isaiah and Jeremiah were engaged in Lamentation for Ezekiel and Daniel their friend.

By that time, Amos and Obadiah were not around.

Three days later, Hosea, Joel and Jonah traveled in the same ship with Micah and Nahum to Jerusalem.

More also,Habakkuk visited Zephaniah who introduced him to Haggai, a friend of Zechariah whose cousin is Malachi.

Immediately after the old tradition, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John got involved in Acts with the Romans who were behaving like the Corinthians, who were also always at loggerhead with the Galatians.

At that time too, the Ephesians realizing that the Philippians were close to the Colossians, suggested to the Thessalonians that they should first of all see Timothy who had
gone to the house of Titus to teach Philemon his younger brother how to read and write in
Hebrew.

On hearing, James asked Peter to explain to him how the three Johns have disclosed to
Jude the Revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Health › Latest Cancer News by eminent007(op): 2:28pm On Feb 06, 2015
LATEST CANCER INFORMATION
from Johns Hopkins

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY …

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to STARVE the cancer cells by not feeding it with foods it needs to multiple.

What cancer cells feed on:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Note: Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk, cancer cells will starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes t o nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.

To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water--best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines will become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.

Anger, unforgiving and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.
