Kagame: I would like PDP to retain/win economically viable states in the SS and maybe Lagos. Opposition politics needs funding and Tinubu has done a good job by mobilizing funds when needed.
That would streghten the opposition and keep the ruling party on their toes i.e if APC eventually wins.
I would not like a winner takes all situation - APC might take Nigerians for a ride if there is no strong opposition to keep them in check. Well the PDP oil producing states like akwa ibom, bayelsa and maybe rivers can get the job done. |

Tolexander: if PDP loses the presidential role. Then the party is buried! I wont like that, and i pray it doesnt happen like that, i feel PDP will only go back to the drawing board, and learn to use their governed states as models, and keep putting pressure on APC at the centre. APC must not have a breathing space for too long, they must be put on their toes. |

. See him face, i want PDP to lose the centre and retain like 15 states, i want them to stay in opposition and make good efforts to strenghten Nigeria's democracy. PDP must survive o, even if they lose at the centre. |

humberjade: But I still suspect Buhari will get 25% in both Rivers and Edo states irrespective of d news emanating 4rm those states.
Maybe Imo too...dunno i doubt it, i have a very deep intuition of PDP rigging joker leading to mouth opening surprises coming from those 11 states (SS+SE), that is why i feel the war is not over. what is open to contention now is that gmb has the simple majority, as to the second requirement of 25% in 24 states and fct, he has achieved that already, no fear of runoff. |
Politics › Re: INEC Releases Presidential Results From 10 LGs In Ogun State by emiye(m): 4:33pm On Mar 29, 2015 |
Mogidi: GEJ would get the required 25% in Kogi, Adamawa, Plateau, Benue, Kwara, Kaduna etc and GEJ would get 25% in the SW too.
Buhari won't get that in the SS/SE, you need 2/3 of 36 to win. It is not necessary he gets 25% in ss +se, those regions have 11 states only., gmb has 25 states +fct left, of these ones he will secure them all. |

olapluto: All APC legislative aspirants in Oyo state have to thank buhari. The people seem to have aligned with APC all the way. Accord party tried, but APC seem to have swept most legislative seats. 2 lga results have arrived the oyo state collation centre. very true. Even though their performance were weaker, it was clear the buhari "fever" aided their results. Should Buhari win the presidential over Nigeria, I congratulate Ajimobi ahead, Should APC win the presidential, PDP will be lucky to retain 16 states by April 11. |

Politics › Re: Policeman Kills Youth For Insisting On Sighting Election Result Sheet by emiye(m): 12:41am On Mar 29, 2015 |
buygala: why would the young man insist on seeing the result sheets? .... Was he planning to run away with it, tear it, or butcher everyone in sight if he couldn't find it?
Is he a party representative, Inec Staff, or Attahiru Jega himself?
The Dude was acting like someone who had a death-wish, so the impatient Police-man promptly obliged him...One doesn't stupidlly insist on his rights even in the face of such palpable tension...The Policeman may have had good reason to feel that the irate and stubborn youth was posing a threat to the democratic process in that area, so he did his job.... end of story
This is the first situation this year, where I feel that the police-man who gunned the dude down deserves a medal ....
The dude should have quietly cast his vote and gone home to pray that his favorite candidate emerges the best rigger, instead of forming Rambo and testing the patience of trigger-happy policemen who can't differentiate between concerned honest citezens and Political thugs
And for all those quoting me and spewing trash, please tomorrow is another election day... Feel free to go to any polling booth and insist on enforcing any 'right' which is different from casting your vote. .. You will not be differentiated fron the political thug who aims to truncate the democratic process... And the security agencies have their orders...
ITS ONLY THE LIVING THAT REAP THE DIVIDENDS OF DEMOCRACY.... CAST YOUR VOTE, ACT THE COWARD AND GO HOME... As to the boldened , your heart must be so dark. Trust me, you dont deserve to live a second more. |
