If he used old portal I don’t think you can have access to it because only him has the security answers. If you can go to his office to see things yourself, that’s better.

It’s application fee. Probably there was a charge back on the card used for the payment. Did she pay herself or used agent?

Modified: Just saw she used an agent. The person probably used a fraudulent card or did a charge back after making payment. Your sister in-law should send a mail or webform explaining what happened and make the payment. She might be reconsidered. She’s really lucky to have escaped 5yrs ban.

What makes a spouse status legal? If your spouse has study permit, is it a legal status or it must be work permit and PERMANENT residence?

If your spouse have study permit and class have resume, you can flagpole.

Good news. My spouse's visa information is now available on the Application Status Tracker.

She received her BVL email on April 29 (Saturday).

I just checked mine now, I’ve my visa document details too. Let wait for ppr to enter.

I was already planing to apply for Sowp before eligibility started n felt no need wasting money. I’ve read people apply for both, VO will decide on which to approve.

They’re still on strike but visa processing outside Canada isn’t affected. People have bn getting ppr since the strike started.

Don’t withdraw. You can apply for SOWP along with your visit application. VO will decide on which to withdraw or approve.

Im about to submit my study permit visa application this week, and I got my Biometric eligibility letter yesterday for my visitor visa application I applied since 2021. I believe once I submit my study permit they will cancel my visitor visa application right?

2-3weeks who, someone posted her ppr story. She applied for visit visa and later study visa. She got PPR for both application.

You can flagpole to convert visit visa to open work permit if your spouse status is legal. You can also flagpole to change to close work permit if you can secure a job with LMIA. I dropped a YouTube link on flagpole, please watch it.

I thought he already applied for visit visa. @moruff77 if you’ve not applied, I will suggest SOWP to save the stress and also work permit is process faster than visit.

And he got BVL last night, but no Visa information in the document section. what does this mean?

I got mine around 7am yesterday, no visa information yet. I want to chill till Monday, please drop an update when the visa information is updated. Thanks

I was asking if it dropped 7am/11am today being the norm for some BVLs received so far.

Also, did she do anything differently; like webforms, emails etc.

I think the application are processed in bulk, I doubt Webform change anything. There were times I sent over 50 mails n Webform daily, nothing happened. My observation is they’re following a pattern, it will surely go round.

I will suggest you send to Abuja. If you want to use Nairobi, make sure you ask the courier service how you’ll get your passport back. Have you received your PPR? If yes please share your timeline.

You can use any address. The address is for courier not ircc

If you applied for work or study, send ircc the slip you received via Webform. Some get updated same day while some can weeks or until PPR is released. For visit visa you don’t need medical, so I don’t think it will be updated on the portal.

Permit me to ask what are the advantages of vv? Is there any policy that makes vv enticing?

If you’ve a spouse in Canada, you can change to open work permit. If you don’t have a spouse but can secure a job with LMIA, you can change it to close work permit (the policy was just extended by 2 years).

its a visitors visa app. And If you know any MP contact I can send mail to. On the tracker did you see your background verification completed or in progress. My status still showing in progress on the tracker. Also since you have received your BVL. You should have your request for passport soon. Lets say today/Monday. Hopefully right.

The MP that will assist you will depend on your spouse’s or relative’s location. If you’ve someone in North York or valid address I can give you the MP I contacted.
On my tracker background is still in progress.

Lol, no nah. I’ve seen people sent more than that and got der visa. Focus is more on application. They will understand, over 8 months without one’s spouse no easy.
