iwale:Check your portal for the update. When was the tracker last updated, April 19th or 25th? |
chlowi:Amen o. |
Omokas2:Yes, the tracker is updated monthly. The main processing is done anytime, so BVL & PPR can drop anytime. |
Succeed04:People got PPR after the strike, I’ve also seen approvals today. The strike isn’t affecting application process. Visit application looks like it’s process in bulk, the timeline is the same for many applicants. Let hope the next set of BVL & PPR, we’ll be among. The wait is tiring, I dn tire to send Webform and mails. |
chlowi:Member of Parliament. They can reach out to ircc on your behalf to enquire about the status of your application. |
Hectorsoboy:Be positive, it will end in praise. |
chlowi:I reached out to MP for assistance. |
Tunmiiee:Oh sorry, biometric and eligibility completed on the tracker. MP told me criminality n eligibility passed. I got it mixed up.
|
Tunmiiee:Seems we’re in the same canoe o. I just tracked mine now after reading your post, eligibility passed, criminality passed. Background verification in progress. MP reach out to me today, in his report eligibility was passed March 9th. Na security checks remain. |
Hola55:Yes, I’m waiting o |
mama12345:Someone’s timeline. It will end in praise
|
EDeedee1:Soon by God’s grace. This people and stress, why not send BVL along with ppr. Did they send mail or you just checked your portal to see the bvl? |
EDeedee1:Just hoping for a decision this month, the wait is frustrating. Just read ircc may be going on strike mid April, I’m exhausted. |
Makibarbie:Did you receive a mail or just checked your portal and noticed it? |
Karmora:Try this, it’s free and fast Use this free method, it’s fast. I ordered cbsa via a paid platform since January I’m still waiting while this method was out in a month. - Go to Google, search ATIP - Pick the first option from the list of results - when the page opens, click on next - click/mark the privacy box and click continue - on the next page, select Canada Border Services Agency from the drop-down - from the next drop-down, select foreign national outside of Canada - fill out your required information in the boxes below (Use your Nigerian address and phone number pls) - Pick yes to the question about requesting information on your behalf if so - pick member of the public for the category that best describes you - Pick electronic copy for how you prefer to receive your notes/records - click continue - on the next page, pick privacy act on the 1st drop-down - select English in the next drop-down - select case files for the type of records - fill out all necessary information below(for UCI number, use the format XX-XXXX-XXXX) - in the comment box write a short intro and your request. Eg: Hello/Hi My name is SURNAME, First Second. I have applied for a study permit, my UCI is soso and my application number is soso, DOB. I would like to have the notes for my file - then click continue - also click continue on the next page(you don't fill anything here) - you are taken to the final page where you review or edit your info - check the I certify box and click continue - you should receive a confirmation email from CBSA |
Makibarbie:Can you check if security is passed? MP already confirmed eligibility passed, awaiting on security. I pray ppr drops this month, the wait is frustrating |
Makibarbie:Please when did you order it? Cbsa I ordered since Jan 2 still yet to land. |
otedola1:Yes but it’s better to wait for a while for VO to work on the application so the note doesn’t come empty. |

josephb:Yes, I called ircc before I got update from MP. |
reggy11:oh sorry, I quoted the wrong msg. PPR soon by God’s grace |
Hola55:March 10 or 11 |
josephb:Ircc rep that picked couldn’t give update, she said application isn’t treated in Ottawa and suggest I send Webform to the office treating the application. MPs are always given updated information, if you’re sure application is treated outside Ottawa just reach out to MP. |
reggy11:Yes, you can also try to call ircc. How to call with Viber App #Copied This post will be long but I need you to help me pay attention. I am putting this information for people who are experiencing delays with their application and who've tried to communicate via email without having any progress. An acquaintance of mine showed me how to call ircc call center agents in Ottawa from Nigeria here using Viber app. Download the Viber app from Google or apple appstore and register with your number. Before following the steps to make a call to ircc in Ottawa send a mail to these addresses individually; abuja@international.gc.ca Abuja-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca abujag@international.gc.ca In the email input your name uci and application number. Explain your current situation in the situation. When they get the mail a prompt will be placed on your application for the visa officer to look at it. These are the steps; Step 1: Call this number with the Viber app: +1-800-267-6788, it's ircc client call center number. Step 2: Press 1 to use the service in English. Step 3: Press 2 to connect to ircc Step 4: after connection to ircc, you would listen to a message for about 30 seconds just be patient till they tell you the buttons to press. You'll be asked to input your uci number if you have, just to save time press 2 that you do not have a uci. Although when you connect to the client call center agent he/she will ask you to provide your application details which includes application number, uci number and other relevant information. Point to note: if you're calling in for someone you'll have to fill in the ircc imm5455 consent form. Step 5: after step 4, you'll listen another message again like step 4 be patient till they tell you which numbers to press. press 3 Step 6: after that the next number you'll press is 1 to talk to make enquiry about your study permit application or press 2 to make an enquiry about your PR application. Step 7: the final number to press is 0 to speak to an agent. Point note : the client support center opens by 1pm. Nigerian time. So it's best to start calling them by 12:45pm so you can be in the queue and wouldn't have to wait too long. I tried this process and it worked for me after Months of sending mails and webforms. Even getting a gcms note now is daunting task because ATIP In Canada is finding it hard to give people their gcms notes, I feel they are understaffed and overwhelmed. When you get connected to the Call ask for an enquiry, they will give you details on the current stage of your application but don't ask when they'll make a decision on your application, they don't have any information about that and they wouldn't even tell you honestly. There it is guys I know this post is very long but please bare with me when this method worked for me I had to come here to spread the information, I hope you get your ppr sooner. #copied ...I got this info from a forum which can be helpful to anyone. *I personally called yesterday but their client rep were busy but today I called 5mins to 1pm, Nigerian time and waited 30mins till I spoke with someone |
Lagertha:Search for the MP of your province via the link below, you’ll see their email address on contact section. Send a mail. https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en/search |
josephb:Amen o. I don’t know what they check for security. No travel history, spouse is an international student. |
josephb:I thought the tracker is mainly for PR application. I don’t think if works for study or visit visa. *Modified* I just checked Biometrics: In progress (on main portal it was passed October 14th) Eligibility: Not started (on portal it stated March 10/11 and today MP confirmed it’s passed) The last update was March 8. I don’t think the portal really works for visit or study.

Hello house, MP confirmed Eligibility passed, security awaiting. Any idea what they’re checking on security? Application was submitted Oct 22 Eligibility started March 10 or 11 |
Hola55:Okay, thanks. Spouse is also London. |
Hola55:PPR soon by God’s grace. Please where’s your secondary office? My spouse eligibility also started march 11th, I applied for the free note 17th. |
Testimonytime:Send Webform and explain you didn’t notice the approval on time, another one will be issued. Also try to call vfs and explain things, it’s possible they over look it (not sure but I’ve seen someone posted this). |
