Hello guys,
I would like to ask if it's mandatory to book a return ticket while booking for visit visa.
My mum's application just got approved and the rates are crazy at the moment.

I don’t think it’s mandatory but to be on the safe side. I’m chatting with someone, his wife is traveling on Thursday, he booked one way ticket 1.4m, so i understand why he didn’t book return. I’m waiting on her experience to make my decision. I don’t think I want to book return, na to look for good excuse incase of interrogation. I will also drop her POE experience once she lands on Friday.

N.B: Those going for tourism should just book return tickets. I don’t think there’s excuse in this category.

When again will they start mass PPR roll out like April 12 for Nigerians ? Well only God knows.

Thank you. I don’t think it works like that for applications from the uk. I did my biometrics ending of October 2023 and since then I didn’t get any email from them. The next email I just got now is to submit my passport.

Honestly you are God sent. I did exactly this. So what I did was to create another GCkey account and use my same email address for this account so it removed my email from the original account where I was having issues. So I found where to link an account in this new account. I entered all the same details from the previous account and it linked it for me. Just saw that I’ve been asked to submit my passport for stamping. God bless you so much

I only received a mail from ircc to check my portal for update but I still cannot login. It keeps telling me error. My friend tried with her own login and it worked and she tried my own login and it kept showing error too. I’ve used different gadgets, I’ve used different browsers, I’ve cleared my cache and it’s still the same thing. It was visitors visa I applied for. But I don’t know what update was done to my application since I can’t even access my application page.

If you received just one mail, it’s bvl not ppr. You’ll receive another mail for ppr. But before then you’ve to sort this login issue o. I know people face difficulties with gckey but it’s not this serious. I don’t know if it’s possible to link gckey to new portal or create another gckey account and link your previous one. You can make your research on that.

Hi guys, just an update on my application. I have still not been able to log into the old orc portal because it’s keeps giving me that same old error each time I try to log in so I decided to register in the application status tracker using my UCL number. And I saw this below.

Please does that mean I have been given the visa and maybe they asked me to bring the passport for stamping? As I can’t still access my account, I don’t know the update ircc did to my application. Please do I just go to Canada vfs London office and give them my passport. I’m confused.

Application is approved since you’ve your visa document but you can’t get ppr on the tracker, you’ll need to sign in into your portal to download it. After your bvl, have you received any mail from ircc to check your portal for update?

If you’re in Lagos or Abuja go to vfs and submit it. If you’re outside Lagos or Abuja, pay dhl or ups to send it to vfs Abuja. Reach out to vfs and pay 18,700 for home delivery or pickup your passport at vfs in Lagos or Abuja.

I have sent webforms so many times for my medicals ( work permit) application, still it hasn’t been updated.

What do i do differently?

Send mail to London, Nairobi and Ottawa. If no update just wait. My spouse’s medical n biometrics got updated immediately ppr dropped.

Just order n hope they deliver on time. I ordered from a paid website since Jan 2, I’ve not received till now. I used the ATIP free service and got response within a month. I tried using the atip again, close to 2 months no response.

- on the next page, pick privacy act on the 1st drop-down
- select English in the next drop-down
- select case files for the type of records
- fill out all necessary information below(for UCI number, use the format XX-XXXX-XXXX)
- in the comment box write a short intro and your request. Eg:

- then click continue
- also click continue on the next page(you don't fill anything here)
- you are taken to the final page where you review or edit your info

- you should receive a confirmation email from CBSA

I was not requested to pay for my CBSA notes and I got my notes in 25days, but I think the window is till 30days.

I really would not want her application to be treated anywhere else than Abuja. She doesn't have a travel history and I am looking at the influence of the popularity of the company I work with sha.

I’ve not seen anyone use paper application recently so I don’t think it’s still in existence. It’s either gckey (old portal) or the new portal.

Abuja doesn’t process visa application. Most application from Nigeria is process in Nairobi, London or Ottawa.

Travel history doesn’t matter, focus on home tie (business, assets, job, investment & family), enough funds and good sop. People with no travel history get approved, just submit a strong application and pray for grace.

US Dom card will work. Naira card as bn stopped from making int’l payment.

Secondly, concerning documents for assets, like land, do we need to send the entire document or do we need to print out the front page

Thirdly, what is the best way to book for flight reservation without paying

Why paper submission? I don’t know if that still work. She should use new portal to make life easy.

For land, you can use the entire document or land survey.

You don’t need to book flight or reservations, it’s even stated on the website not to book flight until visa is approved.

I applied as group since 2020. One of my group members has gotten ppr last month but I have not received any letter not even bvl. Her passport has not expired, her passport expires in 2025 but my passport expired 2021 , I'm wondering what could be the reason they have not sent mail to me, sometimes, I think it's because my passport has expired but some person passport has expired abd they still got approval and were told to bring there passport with 30 days.
Although, I have applied for passport renewal it will be available in 27 days.

Relax and be positive. Some people got bvl and ppr same day, ircc doesn’t follow a fixed pattern. Since your eligibility is completed, you’ll get a decision soon.

VFS already stopped courier service from doing two way. You still have to go through vfs to get your passport back.

I don’t think it’s that difficult if you can provide a strong home tie like business, job, investment, family etc…

In this case it’s understandable o, family is priority. Someone I watch his YouTube videos, his wife and son applied for visit visa and sowp together. Visit visa application was rejected while Sowp was approved.

She should apply, present a good application and write a detailed SOP. Above all pray and stay positive.

Hello house. Please I have a question to ask. My sister’s family SOWP was refused on the fact that her school is not eligible for SOWP because it’s a private school. Although the school is a DLI so they thought all DLI are eligible for SOWP.
Now can she put in for visit visa for them to come visit her. Although the husband isn’t planning to stay because of his job back home. But the kids are the most important. . Please do you advise she put in the visit visa. So her kids can comein to visit her.

That looks like the only option. She can do visit visa for them.

Person wey dn go over 20 countries, that’s enough travel history nah. The VO’s refusal on past visa rejection is definitely a mistake on the VO’s part. She also said she hasn’t bn denied visa before.

I don’t have travel history, I’ve bn denied usa visa before. I dn received my bvl n visa information, na ppr i dy expect. Sometimes VO dy mess up n it’s painful.

When did you send it, if it’s less than 2days just chill. You’ll get email from them once it’s time, but if you can’t wait go to vfs website n use the live chat.
